Whats the silliest thing you've done since being pg?

I am a bit of a joke with my friends and family at the moment because I don't just have pregnant brain ..... my brain has left the building.
It got to the point where I couldn't remember what a tea towel was called yesterday and DF wouldn't tell me because he thought I was joking :doh: and if I don't write myself lists I forget really important stuff.... like underwear and setting the alarm clock ..... :ROFL: (the underwear one is another thread in itself ...lol)

So it got me to thinking .... what are the funniest / silliest things you've done since you've been pg?

when i was preg i'd put the milk in the pantry and cereal in the fridge, (not just once either) i'd drive to the shops and end up else where as i'd forget what i was doing and where i was going... we had a different car and i forgot when going back to the car park actually tried to get into a car whick looked like my old one... even had the same car seat for DS

I've always been a bit vague so being pg only made it much worse & more obvious

I went & had a shower & forgot my towel, often put the milk in the cupboard, went out once & thought I had the keys to the new house in my bag - turned out they were on the bench (DP not impressed as he had to break a door in to get in), everything became 'thingy' cause my brain didn't want to name anything - you know the thingy you boil water with, the thingy you put the food on, I gotta go to the thingy again. I have no idea how I managed to worked until I was 4 weeks due. :lol:
Ahh things haven't changed that much since having him either, do you know it is still Aug? except we are in Sept now :rofl:

I can't remember many because I have pg brain :lol:

This morning I was very close to having water on my weet bix. Grabbed the water jug out of the fridge instead of the milk. Realised just as the first drop was about to hit!

DD just gave me a kiss and was heading to her room to get dressed. I said "goodnight lovey" ...at 10am.

njd- i did the leave the keys ibside last week when Dp and i went for a walk. He had to break into our house as well. Needless to say he wasnt impressed!! oops!

I'd just like to suggest that if your pg brain is like mine DON'T decide to learn how to use your Nanna's 50 yr old pressure cooker after a tiring day...

What happened?

rofl, one that I did a couple of weeks ago which is gross! Went to the toilet (just for a wee THANK GOD) and stood up and forgot to wipe!!!!!!!!!!!! :rofl: and it dripped on my leg. Not impressed. I'm sure you all needed to hear that.

PMSL thank god im not the only one...i've been good so far this time around (touch wood) but with DS1 we were moving house at 8mnths pg and i managed to lock us out the house a total of FIVE times in one day. different each time, locked the keys inside, left them at new house, left them in car and DH took car....yup 5 times in one day!

I walked around a shopping centre for about 15 mins before someone pointed out that I had forgotten to button my top up all the way after trying some clothes on and my boobs were hanging out.....
I got half way and got distracted..... haven't been back to that shopping centre

ooooh embarassment! yer i've tucked the back of my skirt in my underwear and not noticed when i was pg with DS1

i was looking @ houses and found a really good one and i got a ph call arraging a time then looked and realised we cant even afford it lmao

cause i thought it said 225 but it said 255 lol

My brain went out the door during my pregnancy & is yet to return even though I gave birth 11 weeks ago.

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't find the house phone. I hunted high & low for it. So did DF. Used mobile to ring it. It was in my hand bag in the pocket I usually have my mobile in.

iso far i've driven home from work and thought "wait...how did i get...but im in the car...but i dont recall..." and asking customers at work four or five times "was there anything else with that?" on even turned around and said "yes, frise"
i've also manged to mis-place my headband...and forgotten our home number COMPELATY. and my already poor spelling has become worse than that of a 3 year old.
but other then that...im fairly...sain...kinda...ask me in a week...and im sure i'll rember more stuff :p

Oh my goodness I am so embarassed...was just driving through our small country town and was stopped for the school cross walk...finally got to drive on past the local church and to cut a long story short...ended up being the first car behind the funeral car in the procession ... I was too busy looking at all the mum's with prams leaving the school and highjacked a funeral procession...then got stuck doing 5kms for 10 mins...sooooo embarassed!!!!

LMAO, DP was not happy with me for locking the keys in the house cause a few days earlier I thought I had locked them in the house & he broke in through a window & it turned out they were in the car the whole time :doh: & it was because of this that we made sure all windows are locked so when I really did lock them in the house he had to break a door.

Oh & Beautifulmadness, I would still check out that house even though it is out of your price range cause with the way the market is you might find they will come down. Our house, which we brought cause I was pg, was adv $250 thousand & we got them down to $226 so have another look at that house you just never know.

Ok, so for me...Let's see, I forgot my home and mobile number many times already asking DH, what's my mobile number?? Scaringly, I also forgot my pin number for online banking, the same pin I have had for 7 years mind you, I had to go through the whole house to find my little card with the details on it...that took 3 days to solve as I could not remember the answers to my security questions online either!

but my favorite has been to put my track pants on inside out, wear them for a whole day, went grocery shopping, for a walk etc. only to have DH tell me at 7:30pm, that my sticker was hanging out and the very OBVIOUS seams sticking out at the side! LOL

I just thought id add in my "prgenant NO brain" as DH calls it lol. DH has a business run from home and of course I answer the phone calls and stupid me took the phone call but forgot their name 5 minutes later when I went to tell DH :doh:
I my self have put the milk in the cupboard and I also put the bickies in the fridge :wall:

I love hearing some of the stories you gals have got I now dont feel like the only one.

I think I'm getting worsee, since the run in with the pressure cooker I have gone to uni twice for a class that isn't on and totally forgot to go to a class that was on...

I am at PMH next week and I shudder to think how clumsy I will be at work???????

Lol, Sydney moose you reminded me of the time when I went to work & wore my shirt inside out, about 1/2 way through the morning a collegue came up & said "I don't want to be rude but your shirt is inside out" I'm like that isn't rude, thanks for telling me or I would have been like that all day. Crazy what we do & then forget about. :p

I haven't had too many pg moments - yet!!

I put a top on backwards, had the bunchy preggie tummy bit on my back, which felt very odd... but I noticed it straight away.

I forget what things are called - "Check that err thingy there to see if we are free, that thingy with the dates, what's it called?"

I put milk in the cupboard and flour in the fridge.

A few little things!

So far so good with me - just a few minor things, but my gf had me crying.

She put petrol in the car, went and paid and then went and sat in the back seat of her car and couldn't understand why she wasn't moving!

DP calls it placenta dementia :lol:

I am now living my life knowing what it's like to be DP on a daily basis eg. this morning I couldn't find my sunglasses and they were UNDER the coffee table. I've lost my phone, my handbag, my keys ....

The silliest thing is making appointments and then putting the wrong day or time into my diary ... oops

Im back,
OK there was one. I was 7w Pregnant, and had my driving test to get my drivers licence, DP and I had driven 3 hours for it (so i didnt have to wait a zillion months to do the test here in the city).
So all was good, went into the DPI office, came out, ready for my test, only to find id locked my keys in the car!! :doh:
So the tester person and his mate got wire and managed to unlock my door *phew* and i did my test, and passed.
So bad start, good end!!!

ohh so, so meany moments made me smile..and DF go "whats so funny?" saldy he cant understand.
i had a good one friday night.
friends birthday out at a restoraunt - got halfway there and when "OHH CRUD the pressie is at home...with my handbang!" drove home, was ment to pick up a guy i work with and we missed each other...and i spent bloomen 20mins driving around to find this place...it turns out i drove past it three times...and got so annoyed i miss-parked my car. one of the girls i work with parked it for me :eyeroll:
Ohh and i think i drove though a red light...when the turning arrow went green too...but im still not sure about it.

Um, for me....I think at work..it was the silliest thing ever. And my supervisor was call monitoring me at the same time!!
a customer called ( I work for Aussie Post) and he wanted to track where a parcel was for him.
I asked where the addresee was , customer said 'NeilBorough' ViC
I put Neil Borough in the NAME feild so when I called the post shop which was neilborough post shop i asked if there was a parcel there for a Mr Neil Borough. and the lady goes
'thats where you've called' and I said 'oh there is a parcel there for him?' and the lady goes 'who for?' I said 'Neil Borough' and the lady kept laughing and laughing and it was only then that I realised in my system that my name i typed in equalled the postcode and postshop that i was calling. :wall::wall::redface:

STUPID STUPID

Standing at my own car's passenger door waiting for DP who got in the drivers side to unlock my door.

I have central locking and have owned the car for 7 years :cryinglaugh:

i've had a few more 'preg brain' moments.
i forgot about washing...it was in the washing matchian for a week :doh:
i've 'lost' my keys to my car three times - twice i left them on top of my locker at work and once in the draw in the dept i work in...
Ohh and there was the time i tired to pour milk into DF's work drink bottle...and the strait cordial onto his weeties...

Today DH and i were talking about chickens laying eggs and i kept asking how many chickens do eggs lay. I felt so stupid!

I really hope none of this happens to me...Im happy to report that my brain, apart from constant hunger alerts, is perfectly normal. Although I do use the excuse sometimes, when the washing isn't done.

lol, yesterday DH was being silly and saying something about snuggling up b/c it's winter and I said, 'you idiot, it's not winter, it's autumn'! :rofl:

I have PG brain big time!! The other day my partner was looking for the cheese.. I knew we had just bought some.. Couldn't find it, blamed our flatmate for eating it then 3 days later found it in the drawer with the gladwrap.. Obviously I had put iot in there after wrapping my sandwich for work!! Also got dinner out of freezer, left it open all day while I was at work. What a waste.. Then this morning my partner said 'you have to be more careful' I said 'what have I done now?' and I had left the keys in the door all night!!

My midwifery student phoning (am doing follow-through program for/with her) and on answering the phone, having NO IDEA who she was. It took me a while to catch on. I was: "Mel? Who? I don't know any Mel's...who the hell is this!?"

Locking myself out of the house yesterday after hanging out the washing so I had nothing with me. Waited 3 hours for Kim to get home. Lol, very silly.

I made my first appointment with the midwives a week or two ago....she asked me for my phone number, went to give her my mobile and managed the first four numbers....after that I was a complete blank!! Felt so stupid...kept apologising to her for the 5 or so minutes it took me to try and wake up DF so he could tell me what it was...all he said was "what???" and half fell back asleep, so then had to try and find his mobile and find my number in it..I also considered using my mobile to call the home phone, but realised it doesn't have caller ID..lol So after that, I put my mobile number in my own phone, yeah I feel really dumb now, but at least I know I can find it quickly if I happen to forget again!

Also been very tounge-tied when on the phone to customers at work, I must sound like I can't speak sometimes! Umm...I've had to stop myself a couple of times when I realise I'm on the way to put the juice or milk back in the pantry and not in the fridge..probably other things too..my memory was bad before but it's worse now! And probably not going to improve anytime soon!

This morning when getting dressed i looked down and thought, erg why am i so fat? Then thought, oh yeah you doofus, your pregnant! lol

I always have 2 bowls of cereal in the morning and instead of making my second bowl in the same bowl I'd just used I made my second serving in a dirty bowl that I'd had cereal in the day before and had forgotten to clean- a rareity with all the nesting I've been doing- and didn't realise until I'd finished. That was followed with panicking about the milk and knocking over all the other cereal. My DH thought it was the funniest/cutest thing he's ever seen. I didn't.

I'm also constantly forgetting words, why I've gone into certain aisles in the supermarket and my mobile number. I thought mumnesia/placenta brain was a made up thing. I was wrong.
