HELP Please! what is my chart doing??

Hi guys,

Can anyone please look at my chart and tell me if I have ovulated?? FF doesn't show a coverline. I'm having severe cramping and back pain since yesterday, irritable for the last 3 days. CM is not very reliable (very scarce and not sure if EWCM).

Hmm.....it doesn't look like you've ovulated yet to me because you haven't had a sustained high temp. :crossfingers: it's soon.

I had a quick peek too - no ovulation as yet - you need those three consecutive temps at least .2 degrees above your normal BBT.

Could happen some time very soon though :)

Are your cycles usually irregular? Or could you be having an anovulatory cycle? Oh, I just noticed you are on metformin which is sometimes used for pcos yeah? So hopefully you are still yet to ovulate!!

Looks like you are keeping your DH nice and close for just the right moment ;)

Just entered my temp on FF and guess what?? Shows me I have ovulated on Day27 and we :bd: that morning!! I know it is way too early but I am sooo excited! :excited:

Certainly in with a chance!

The optimal days for conception are the two days prior to ovulation (so sperm are in the right place for when the egg is released), then the day of ovulation.

Under 'normal' circumstances (whatever they are?!), there is a 20% chance of conception if you focus BD on these three days.

Hi SaraJane. yes it did take the coverline out yesterday and I was so depressed I had a drink :doh: It's back up today. I tried putting a low temp for tomorrow and it still says ovulation day is d27. I won't get my hopes up high though. Temps are still very low to support a pregnancy? I'm just happy it suggests an ovulatory cycle - I still have a chance :D

Thanks Nicole, I hope I fall within the 20% :pray: I don't have much CM so thought :sperm: won't survive long enough to wait for the egg if BD day before. :confused: Is there anything I can do to increase my CM? Sorry, maybe this question should be in a different thread?

I have to say I think FF may have it wrong... I hope not tho. There are plenty of things you can do to increase you CM, grapefruit juice and I think there are some sups you can get that will help too... I know L-arginine is supposed to help, but it is quite pricey.

Also some sperm friendly lube such ad pre-seed or real egg whites will do the trick also. :)

I too get the feeling FF is wrong :( Haven't heard about grapefruit. Was taking Evening primrose oil and vit e plus drinking lots of water last cycle. Worked well, but I have been very slack this month. May use OPKs next cycle. MaybeBaby didn't work for me. I couldn't tell when I was ovulating.

Oh well , my time will come when I'm worthy to be a mum.

can anyone comment on my chart now please? I think FF is playing tricks on me. i thought you ovulated the day before the temp rise with an ovulation dip :confused: ?

My FF used to do that too with my coverline. If it didn't jump up enough straight away it would put it the day after the dip.

it looks like its done that due to your CM, if you removed them it may change your coverline! once you ovulate EWCM generally dries up by the next day

Hi Bethgift. Welcome to BB.:welcome: You have come to the right place. You will find lots of answers here so whatever it is you want to ask, don't be shy. Just fire away. :D There'll always be someone who can help or direct you in the right direction.

Have you seen your GP? they are a good place to start. You need to consider things like:
- getting your vaccinations up to date
- eating healthy
- folic acid 0.5mg daily
- cut down alcohol/smoking

Do you have regular cycles? If you do, you ovulate about 14 days (+ or - 5 days) before your periods. I found that charting helps (although this cycle is a bit frustrating :redface: It helps your understand your cycles and pinpoint your fertile time. I have PCOS so is a bit more complicated for me.

FertilityFriend is a good site if you want to start charting. They have an online charting course (free) to get you started. Start by checking your CM (cervical mucus) daily. You are most fertile when you get clear,slippery,stretchy mucus.

I found temperature charting useful in understanding my cycles. You can get an ovulation thermometer from your pharmacy for around $20. You measure your temp every morning upon waking and record this. you ovulate the day before your temperature rises to higher than any other temp in your cycle and stays high for the rest of the cycle. It only helps to understand your cycles though, not pinpoint ovulation beforehand.

You can use OPK's (ovulation prediction kits) to pinpoint ovulation in advance. They are available form your pharmacy but are quite expensive. You can also buy them off ebay in bulk packs.

Belle75, your chart shows repeated attempts at ovulation evidenced by the weekly presence of ewcm (this reflects the hormones changing to facilitate the ovulation) without consulting with you I would suggest at the very least some acupuncture up to and including day 14 to help move the energy around this time.
