Flower Names
I really want to have a "flower" name as a middle name if we have a daughter. My favourites are Violet and Rose (our favourite first names are Allegra and Imogen). Here are a few I have found that I like.
Lily
Poppy
Clover
Fleur (LOVE this one)
Hazel
Olive
Sage
Willow
What do you think and do they go with the names above? What are some more flower names?
-
I think Imogen Rose sounds really good - rolls off the tongue well. Allegra (love that name btw, never seen or heard of it before) I think would go well with Rose or Violet, and Sage and Willow... imo
Other flower names I can think of (just off the top of my head) are:
Daisy
Petunia
Jasmine
Iris
-
The names we have picked are Imogen Rose (DH's fav) and Allegra Violet (my fav).
Would love to hear some other suggestions though - perhaps some that are no so common. Petunia is cute!!
-
I love Daphne, its so feminine.
-
YOu can also spell Sage..Saige
I like both your choice and your DH's

With those first names I think you need to go with a short middle name so Rose or Fluer would be great with either. These were both names we were considering as middle names if we'd had a girl.
-
Imogen Sage sounds so pretty. I also like Allegra Jasmine.
-
Dahlia
Ione
Delphine
Zinnia
Flora
Saffron
Hanako (it's a Japanese name)

I really like the sound of Allegra Sage and Allegra Fleur. But I still LOVE Allegra Violet. Which one sounds better?
DH said he likes Imogen Lily but I prefer Imogen Rose - which one sounds better?
Our surname rhymes with Garden.
-
I think Allegra Violet & Imogen Rose go better together for some reason.
I've always liked Briar Rose too.
-
Our friends have a little girl called Malea, which is Hawaiian for flower :)
-
Snacks how do you pronounce that? It looks so pretty!
-
We had choosen Ivy for a middle name but ended up with a DS instead of a DD.
I'm rather fond of three letter middle names!
Love, love, love Imogen Rose!
-
I love, love Imogen Lily! More so than Imogen Rose, which is still pretty, but not as pretty IMO, and also more typical since every other baby girl seems to have Rose as a middle name now.

DH and I were talking about "Nature Names" last night... We found a website with heaps of them and here are the ones we liked as possible middle names...
Willow
Autumn
Winter
Meadow
River
Breeze
Rain
My favourite combos are Allegra Willow, Allegra Meadow and Allegra Rain
DH likes Imogen Rain and Imogen Willow
What do you think?
-
-
I like Imogen Rain (I know of a 'Raine' and I love it with the 'e' on the end!)
How about Allegra Summer?
-
I really like Willow too, very sweet.
And Allegra Violet - just divine! You should definately put up a fight for that one! I can just imagine her Amy...so cute. For a girl we really like Piper Amy-Rose (amy was DH's g/ma and rose sounds pretty). That will def be middle name if we have girl. The first name however is still up for debate... I also like Lucinda - we would call her Lucy! Or Adeline - Addy oh the choices!!!
Also, Amy I love your threads on this kind of stuff cause it makes me feel like it can really happen (IYKWIM!). Love your work
