Anyone tried Sorbies? I noticed a sample pack at Coles for under 3 dollars at Coles so thought I would give it a whirl. Considering I like Huggies, these are pretty good!

I have seen the TV ad but not the product in the shop yet. I would only ever use huggies on my girls, nothing else compared in quality, so I will be interested to see peoples comments on how effective the sorbies are.
Have tryed them also thought they were pretty good (dh didnt notice some were day some night)

I used Huggies on my kids too but am now an Aldi fan - and the Huggies this time around seemed to have gone down in their quality IMO.:
If Sorbies are competitively priced I would try them - haven't checked them out yet ...

Im with u samiH. Huggies have definatly gone down in quality. Bodhi wakes up wet 9 times out of 10 with them now. Aldi have also become my favorite. They are the only ones which will keep him dry for a whole night.
I have tried sorbies. Wasnt impressed at all really. He still woke up satched each morning with the night time nappies.
I tried Sorbies and DD woke up within 3 hours of having the night nappy on and the nappy was soaked through...not leaking out the sides, leaking through the nappy! I sent an email to complain and got a phone call within an hour of sending the email but the line was bad, then got a phone call a few hours later but unfortunately I was too busy to talk. They were going to call back last Monday (on my work number) but I was off sick. I must email them again. I can say that their customer service is good and they really want feedback so they can improve their nappies. They are going to replace the pack I got in case it was a bad batch and then want more feedback.

I bought them this week for DS cos $$ was a little tight and we think theyre great! The only nappy he would not leak from at night was Huggies. Well he hasnt leaked once with any of the Sorbies! I like that they have night nappies to contain that extra wee. Theyre cute Looney Toon prints too.
So, so far we give them a big :thumbsup:
Danniellabella.. yeh maybe you just got a bad batch. Ive never had that problem with DS and he pees like a fire hidron! ;)
They seem to work ok so far, but I have not had a poo in one or used the night nappy. Will update when I have tried them overnight.
which shops are you all buying the sorbies and aldi's from?
I think Sorbies is only in coles, bilo & IGA stores. Aldi are from Aldi (I don't know if you have any Aldi stores where you are but I know in Adelaide/SA there aren't any and I'm not happy about that!:

I want to give these a go too - having serious problems with huggies overnight.
Another unhappy WA girl here who doesn't get aldis!!! Very annoying when everybody raves about them and we can't try them.

Let me know how you get on. I'd definitely be interested. I think we're supposed to be getting an Aldi's here but not for another 6 months or so.
Tried Sorbies on my DS 6mo, the night time ones lasted well overnight and didn't leak which I have had trouble with Aldi's nappies before. Had one leak from a day time one but DH had put it on and it wasn't necessarily put on properly. I'm usually a huggies fan but I would use these again, especially if they were on special, I got ours from Coles.
I'm so glad to hear about all these positive experiences. Perhaps I did just get a bad batch. I sent another email to their customer service about my complaint asking them to ring me again.
ok, so ive just bought another pack of sorbies in case i also got a dodgy batch. Heres hoping for a dry night tonight:D!
have thought about trying them as well. Aiden will wet thru the huggies over night, not all the time, but, has the last 2 nights. Lulu and Myson - im with you, i get sick of hearing how great Aldi is, but, we just cant get it over here. I have heard they are coming, hopefully its before i have 2 in nappies.

Good to hear glowing reports on the Sorbies seen their ad and decided to give them a try, at $10 a pack to good not to, still finishing off the last of my old brand..Highly recommend Aldi, especially in the large sizes, very good value.:dance: Huggies are overpriced, for the quality of nappy you get. I did buy them for night time use until I got a series of packs that had crystals poking through them and in clumps, quite sharp and uncomfortable, and just noticed by accident:o.
Nope, no Aldi available online. But reading the faq's on their website maybe me picture a large barn packed with bargains and a very DIY style of shopping. A bit like WA Salvage but for groceries...???

I've seen the ad on tv and seen them in Coles and I'm always thinking and saying to DP whether we should try them or not. I'm not really up for trying different brands then what we use so I don't waste our money. We've mostly used Babylove brand for DS2 since they are perfect for us all the time... so far ( fingers crossed it stays that way :pray:)
So far after reading that mostly you ladies have had positive things to say about them I'm thinking I might give them a whirl next time I need to get more nappies.

Tried them again lastnight. DS was still a wee bit wet when he woke up, but that could be because he had a poo in there as well which he must of done in the middle of the night.
I purchased Sorbies nappies for my 9 week old son last week as I had read a feature on them in the Coles Baby Club magazine that was very favourable, and I was interested in the idea of day and night nappies. However the first time he wore the night nappy it had been only 6 hours when I had to go to him in the middle of the night for a feed, during feeding both of us were suddenly very wet and he had leaked through the nappy! This is the first time it had happened with him. At first I thought maybe I had not put the nappy on correctly but it happened again the next day. So I went back to using my previous brand for nights and decided to just use the remaining Sorbies day nappies. Today I had him with me at the shops in the Baby Bjorn carrier and all of a sudden I was wet on my shirt and my shoes and he had wet through the nappy, his clothes and the baby carrier to the floor! I don?t think this should be happening the nappies and have been surprised and disappointed with my experience as I had high expectations of the nappies and will not buy again. I have e-mailed my feedback to the company.
I didn't like them a whole lot. My son over flowed them pretty quickly. I switched to Huggies (I use cloth during the day) and haven't had any problems so ffar. I am going to Aldi today and might pick some up from there to give a try also.
They are stupid. You buy a pack with 7 night nappies and 15 day nappes. So are they saying that ever day you only change your baby 2 times with one nappy per week to spare? You would have to buy way more packets then that.
In my dealings with Sorbies they seem really really keen to hear any feedback so they can make necessary improvements. I'm wondering if it's worth emailing them the link to this discussion?

I've been really happy with the night sorbie. I was having huge problems with DD#1 with a huggies overnight but she has been dry in the morning with the sorbies.
Of course they want to make money.Its a business, but that doesn't mean that babies don't still need nappies. There's no reason why you can't put one of the night nappies on during the day time.
Well if you haven't tried them, how can you contribute positvely to this thread?:
I tried the night sposie on DD again (we should be getting the replacement batch this week). It was starting to get damp on the outside of the nappy before she went to bed so I put the Snugglers back on her for sleep.
I am not ready to give up on them yet, will try the replacement pack they send out and then will email them as they requested to let them know how it went.
I can't to the product itself but I can to the idea.:

15 day nappies...
Do you only change your baby 2 times a day?
Yes they are $13 a pack at Coles, couldn't MISS them at the end of the baby isle :rolleyes: But if you work out that MOST people change their babies at LEAST 4 hourly between the hours of say 6 and 9 that is 4 nappy changes, to last one week you would need to buy 2 packs ... so therefor the whole concept is rediculous because you waste money having more 'night' nappies then 'day' nappies. Why not just make them ALL 'night' nappies? Wouldn't that make more sense... make a better all the time nappy?
Besides if you only wanted positive contributions you wouldn't be asking peoples opinions. Not everyone is going to have a positive one about these nappies, as previous posts have said.
I wasn't seeking positive comments, rather constructive comments about Sorbies, both positive and negative by people who had actually used this brand of nappy.:

was just saying I wouldn't, My boys used to get terrible nappy rash overnight in disposables. Wasn't meaning to offend people... should probably think about how things come across the other monitor ;)
I would like to suggest as a member not a mod, that it might be wise not to challenge disposable nappy use in a thread dedicated to disposable nappies (and even if you are giving your opinion - its still slightly off topic). I understand you have a passion for cloth but not everyone has that viewpoint so it might be best to be respectful of other people's choices :)

Thanks for starting this thread shoegal! I was curious myself. We are a happy customer of the aldi nappy but with Aldi raising their price a couple of dollars, I am seeing what else is out there.
I got the sample pack and have had no issues with leaking both day and night.
I might give a sample pack another go before I buy a bigger pack.
I still love the aldi the best too. Hopefully you girls in WA and SA can get an aldi soon. I can send a sample to anyone who would like to try it?
I've tried the sorbies and found them okay, but the Aldi Mamia ones are still my favourite. I like the Aldi ones even better than Huggies. I had leaks with Huggies at night time but never with Aldi Mamia.
Comfort wise, I didnt like how the day time sorbies have no stretch in the tabs. They must be a lot more compfy for bubs if the tabs have some stretch in them surely.
