More bleeding...
Last night while i was at work i had some more bleeding, Like a blob of blood came out... then every time i wiped for the rest of the night it was tinged with red... Dp rang up the hosp and the midwife in the birthing suit said that there should be no bleeding after 8weeks and any bleeding is a concern if it gets to much come and see her, otherwise rest up and see my doctor this morning...
When i woke this morning there has been no more blood... just horrible like cramping pains...
And my doctor isn't in until Monday - the whole surgery is closed for the 4days (christmas, 26, 27,28)
I'm freaking out here... it could just be nothing right???
-
It could def be nothing... I had 3 weeks of bleeding this pregnancy until around 11 weeks. I had a subchronic haematoma, so that was the caus of my bleeding.
The cramping doesn't sound great, but then again, it could be stretching pains or anything. I get random pains on an off throughout my pregnancy.
If I were you, and really worried, I would head to Emergency. You may not get seen for a while, but at least they might be able to do a few tests, or maybe even a scan.
All the best. I hope that it's nothing at all.

Hmmm, my GP and OB have told me the opposite, bleeding is pretty common! First time I had bleeding pretty much the entire time esp when AF was due or if I did lots of lifting and bending. this time round I haven't had a lot just if I do a bit too much housework or empty a shopping trolley.
If the bleeding has stopped for now don't stress too much, the cramping is probably everything stretching.
But I agree with Niadla if you are worried go the the hospital.
-
Def go to the hospital, if for no other reason then to ease your worry.
Hugs! I hope it's nothing.

I think you should go to the hospital to be checked everything is okay, my OB has always said any bleeding to report it immediately.
Bleeding can be very common in pregnancy and especially in the first trimester, I`m just over 14 weeks now and I`ve had a number of bleeding episodes from 4.5 weeks, my last lot of bleeding was at 11 weeks where I totally soaked 3 pads within a few hours, it just gushed out of me (sorry for TMI) but baby is fine and it`s unexplained like all my other bleeding episodes. Up to 11 weeks, I was bleeding every 7 to 12 days up to that stage but each time I rang my OB for advice.
-
 to you Cass, honey I would go to the hospital to put your mind at rest. However, having said that they can be a little heartless before the 12 wk mark. There are many different reasons for bleeding. You said a blob which seems to me could've been a little clot?? That may have been it.
Your GP at least you could ask for a scan to be done (which I doubt the hospital would do at 8 wks). If you're able to I'd probably try not to work until you can see either your GP or you're happy with the hospital's answer. Get Tim to do as much as he can for you and try to lay down and rest.
I hope all is ok. Let us know how you go.

Hiya, just want to say that I had bleeding on and off throughout my first trimester with my daughter and worried myself sick as it was only a few months after loosing the twins. When they finally did a scan they said the bleeding was from me and nothing to do with the baby, and everything was fine.
So like the others have said for peace of mind go and get it checked out if the bleeding starts again or the pains become worse. I have just found out I'm pregenant again (when I went to my Dr for a chest infection last week...I was on the pill) and I get crampy feelings too and remembered how they also stressed me out during my last pregnancies so unless the pains are bad just try to rest as much as you can.
Take care all the best,
Missy

Hey Ladies thanks for all your advice and stories...
I didnt have any bleeding yesterday so went back to work at 2, by 5pm i was bleeding quite a bit so came home and Tim took me up to the hosp... There They checked my HCG levels 130,000. They did a duck bill test and the cervix is closed and there was no more blood up there at that time (I stopped bleeding after about 3 hours at the hosp), They called the Gyno who came down and did a portable ultrasoun but couldn't find anything. So i have a appointment for a proper ultrasound tomorrow... The bleeding has stopped every now and then ill get some brown blood...
The gyno said she couldn't say either way weather it is a misscarriage or not so have to wait for tomorrow...
I am so scared and freaking out right now... I'm trying to stay positive but its hard...
Thanks again...
-
cass, stay positive hun, a closed cervix is a very good sign

I had a little bit of brown spotting again last night it only last half a day this mornig its very very faint, similar thing happened around the 3rd of december so roughly 4 weeks ago and the OB said it was nothing just from stretching ... could it be the same.... fingers crossed, hoping to getting a scan tomorrow just to confirm everything is ok. Hope the brown discharge dissappears and lots of sticky vibes.

Thanks so much for your support ladies!
Its GREAT NEWS!!!
the first thing the ultrasound tech dude did was check our little guy and Little beany was waving his arms around and kicking his legs and had a very nice flicker happening! He then went on to check everything else and find a cause for the bleeding... beany's heartbeat was 178!!!
The cause of the bleeding : there was a cyst on my ovary that had burst, there is a small tear on the uterus... there is some more blood around the ovary and near the cervix (which is properly the reason for my brown blood now)
The doctor said that beany was all okay, he's sitting very healthy in there, nothing wrong with the sack, and a healthy pregnancy...
the scan said he was measuring 10weeks!!!
Again thank you all so for your support and listening to me freak out!!!
-

-
Thank you all so much!!! You girls a wonderful! thank you...
One question i would like to ask tho... is... small tear on uterus... Is that really a normal part of pregnancy? We keeping and eye one it and going to have another ultrasound around 12-14weeks (2 to 4 weeks from now) but is it normal. or something i should be a little worried about?
-
Did they mean a subchorionic haemorrhage? That's where the implantation has just silghtly started to come away and there's a bleed under it. They aren't uncommon and frequently resolve themselves. I had one, quite a large one, with dd3, and she was fine.
I'm so glad the news was good.
-
thats great news that everything was fine Cass :)
-
:leap: What a relief!!!!!!!!
I am not sure what he meant by a tear in the uterus - if you have the u/sound report and you could tell me what is written that would be helpful?
It could be a haematoma - I am not sure - and without hearing the medico speak I wouldnt hazzard a guess.
Your baby is growing and moving well with a great heartbeat that is a huge yipppeeee!!!!
-
Oh Cass what wonderful news!! to you again.
-
toomanytoomany - that does sound like something they said... all i could remember was they said a sub-'something'... DP thinks thats what they called it too...
Flowerchild - I don't have the US report, as it was done in the hospital they just told me the results... I'm going back to my doctor on Monday so that he can get the results and explain them to me again - when i'm less stressed and can take it all in...
