bel78.....i would be asking your gp to do an u/s to find out why you have the sever pain and heavy bleeding etc.....the u/s will also see if you have any lesions anywhere that shouldn't be there, any inflammed cysts near or around your clip sites.....it won't however show up the endo if you think you may have it, only surgery will show that.....i have had 2 surgeries so far for the endo and trust me this is something you don't want to have.....who are you planning to go see about a TR ?.....best of luck on your TR journey.....cheers kiya
Great news Jodie!! Hope it all works well & with your positive attitude I'm sure it will!!!!!
Hi Bel & welcome. I had my TR done in Newcastle can't exactly remember how much it cost about $6000 I think. But I was having all the pain & suffering before it too.& my first AF after the was was completely normal & have been ever since. Good Luck with it.
hey dearmum and onemore, i had really wanted to do ivf, but dont think its going to happen. I am really sad and so want to have a baby so bad... but its usually the same story were you really desire something you can't have it. I don't remember being so wantin when i had no trouble falling pregnant. I guess it shows never to take anything for granted.
bel78 welcome.. and ask away.. we all did it. yes it is a horrible thing having a tubal ligation and they should be stopped.i had seriously heavy bleeding and bad periods for 2 years after the t/l and starting researching like you. I unfortunately had my tubes cut and tied and even though they have been reversed, it has not worked that well for me. it is only for the reason that mine were cut and tied that i had the problem. You have much higher success rates with clips. I had to pay 10k to have mine done in sydney with dr cooper but i know that in qld now it is becoming rebateable under medicare. I think they have assigned the number, not to sure. So i have started the path of ivf but not much success yet. only because when i was supposed to start, i had another ectopic pregnancy. Don't be worried by that though because it all depends on your tubes and how much is left of them.
hey storm, loving that belly... iwill carry it for a while if you want....lololol if only we could do that for each other...
oh luv......i'm sorry to hear that things haven't worked out for you....don't let it get you down......maybe you need to think about yourself for a bit then things will fall back into place and you will be preg again either by IVF or naturally......cheers kiya
Hi Luv;)It really is a sad lesson in life isnt it,we should never have had the B*****Y TL done and why would the docs interfere about having it done GRRRR.I know i would of possibly had six kids by now :crying:
As Kiya said dont let it all get to ya,this is going to be all OUR year,i have a good feeling that we are all going to be so happy this year.
Hi Bel78;)If i was in your situation i would be having the TR done!im lucky i guess that i have had no problems since having my TL done only i have put on about 10kgs....lol
Hi Kiya...What did the docs say about your AF?any thing they can do about it?
wishing you all the best:hug:
Hi Storm....Babe you look great being pregnant,do you get m/s?
Hi Onemore....Babe not long now,do you have everything ready?
Hi Mumof6....Babe how was the holiday? Is Breah walking yet?Ok i need to ask lol when the next one happening????
Hey Jodes......yeah he said the endo has come back again hence the bleeds every 2 weeks.....at the moment i am going on my 3rd week, so fingers crossed it is settling down.....YIPPEE....now my only prob is sorting out dh's ex once again.....geez she never learns or listens when i tell her to back-off.....oh well, i'm not going to let her get to me this year.....this is my year....YEAH....cheers kiya
Hi ladies, how are you ?
Luv sorry things are not looking great on the IVF front for you, like kiya said maybe you need some "me" time and see what happens... ing for you hun.
Welcome bel, hope things get sorted for you.. I had my reversal done at Royal Womens in Melbourne, it is free but there is a waiting list. All the best to you.
Kiya will that crazy women never give up:wall::wall: Ignore her I say, probably would anoy her more that way !!! Sorry your endo has returned, hopefuly it is easing off for you.
Dearmum thanks for asking, Im doing good bit of pelvis instability which causes a bit of hip pain and walking is a bit of a chore:lol: I think I am pretty ready now, put the capsule in yesterday and bubs room is done. Almost finished packing the hossy bags so will put them in the car soon... just in case. Had my sizing scan last week and looks like she is a pretty normal size, have to see the Dr on Thursday 15th for results and previous shoulder distocia... see what happens.
Well it is past my bedtime so I better go.
Chat to you all soon.
onemore.....yeah i know....she must be either very stupid or hard of hearing, because she just never gets it......thank god she hasn't started with the phone calls again....i thankfully blocked her number, so hopefully we will be safe......wow not long to go know....i bet you are excited and also want over and done with huh???..... i so can't wait to start my cycle....just got to get this endo and AF all sorted then watch our world here i come, well IVF world that is.....LOL.....cheers kiya
hi storm u said u had ur tr at newcastle, im a looking into having mine done with dr robert woolcott, just want to know if anyone recommends him or know of someone else this time i go under i want a doc who knows what he is doing, wish i had never had tl done!!!!!dam it. im looking at around $7000, as im not in a private health fund, if i join 1 now looking at 12 month before op.
kiya u had urs done at melbourne and it free, who was ur doc and did u have any complaints with the way everything was done, doc woolcott in newcastle specialises in tr, did the doc at melbourne specialise in it? sorry for all the qustions just want to make sure of my options. have had ultrasounds done found nothing except enlarged vein near ovary or something like that, doc didnt explain it very well just said we all have veins and since ive had 2 kids they are jsut enlarged more than usual, after my research last night on a tubal ligation website. i think theres more explanation why we all have trouble with tl.
thanx for everyone being encouraging and supportive, u guys seem like a great little network!!!!!!!!!!!!!
does anyone know of a good doc in newcastle to perform tubal reversal, sent a message awhile ago but think it must of got lost, so thanx everyone who have been posting your experiences its so interesting to see waht the rest of tl girls go thru.
sorry bel78....i can't help you as i am in Qld, but isn't Dr Cooper in Newcastle? The only place i know of in Newcastle is Westmead IVF....sorry can't be of any help....maybe one of the other ladies who lives in NSW knows of one.....cheers kiya
Bel I went to Dr robert Woollcott. He is in New Castle, Lingard I think from memory he has is own website. Not sure if I have the spelling right though.
*ETA* go to reversal dot com dot au. that's his website.
:dance:4 days to go and im PUPO:dance:
Hi girls sorry i havent been around for awhile just so busy and im SO over SCHOOL HOLIDAYS! There has to be a law put in place i think ;).
Breah is now 8months and is walking along the furniture to bloody clever.
She is still a dream to have and be around. As for you dearmum you make me laugh. Im very busy and happy with what i have at the moment. There are days i think god i dont have time for myself and im so so busy. But then other days i think of how much i would love to give life to another little person. All in all im PRETTY sure there will be another baby for me. When i just dont know right now.
Welcome Bel- I had my reversal thru Dr Cooper in Sydney at the RPA. Like LVU said im pretty sure i heard someone say its covered under medicare now too so maybe look into that and see what you come up with. Best of luck!
Hi to everyone else and i'll be back on later to finish my post. Take care girls xxxxx
OOh dearmum, not long now:dance::dance:
Mumofsix - wow 8 months has gone so fast... I know what you mean about school hols, we have 8 weeks down here in Tassie and it is just too long, the boys are bored by 2 or 3 weeks. I must say they have 4 weeks left and I think the first 4 have gone quickly, I think counting down to the birth of our bub has made the time go fast.
So we may have to change your name again hey ?? Mumofseven??:D
Kiya I think I am ready to meet this little girl !! everything is begining to become a bit of a chore now (well it has been for a while now:lol:) I started swimming once a week recently and it is sooo nice to not have the weight of a big belly for a while!!!
Hope your IVF starts soon, cant wait to go on your journey with you....
Well I gotta go but will catch up again soon.
Take care everyone.
xxx
hi everyone hope u are all fine.
storm u said woolcott did ur tr, did u like him? any complaints? im feeling i should go with him but wanting to know from others what his like, im extra careful this time hopefully this will be my last op. dont want any surprises, hoping to have tr sometime this year, want to get the best doc possible, hey, could blame me !!!lol
after tr, and u pregnant is there special monitoring u have to go thru for certain tests etc, been reading on net that u have to have a heap of blood tests and ultrasounds etc, just wanting to be prepared if this happens.
hey been reading ur posts and how u guys are over the holidays i never get them coz i homeschool lol im either silly or really enjoy having kids around like all day hahahah probably a bit of both, do enjoy seeing them learn new stuff, but sometimes that trip into town looks pretty darn good!!!!!!!!!!!
it wont be long now guys and kids b in school and u can get some relief.lol
I found him terrific! Very caring & considerate, & explained everything in detail. I have no complaints at all.
I didn't have any extra monitoring though, just scans around 6-7 weeks to make sure baby was where it was meant to be.Again I never had any probs.
He he school holidays, I love them it's a chance to sit back & get to know you're kids again, they spend so much time at school really. Good for you homeschooling I've thought about it, but I just don't think I would have enough time with them. It wouldn't be fair.
hey kiya and dearmum, thanks for the support...
storm, did woolcott open you up or did you have laproscopy?
bel78, i sought to have it done by woolcott too but the only reason i didn't is because he wanted to cut me open and because i have had one c/section it meant that i would not be able to have a natural birth and i really want a natural birth if i ever have another baby...... i don't know if you have had a c/section but just thought you should know...
onemore, i look forward to your good knews.... how bout some pics?????
Bel78- Are you having the T/R cause you want to have another bub or just to try and fix the pain. A girlfriend of mine had alot of pain and when they opened her back up they had cliped it to one of her organ thats why she had so much pain. Sorry if you have already explained i must have missed it. Only reason i ask is cause after the reversal it can take up to 2 years to fall pregnant thats if it works theres no guarantees. In saying that some of the girls on here have been super lucky and have fallen within a couple of months. Also the eptopic pregnancy rate is pretty high. I wasnt so lucky and after a year of trying we decided to do IVF. It was so so much cheaper and didnt come with the risk of having an eptopic. I wish i just did the Ivf in the first place we live and learn. How old are your kids?? Home schooling you are a brave woman no rest for you you poor thing.
:dance:Ladies 3 days to go YEEHAH:dance:
i have had 2 natural births, wanting tr to feel normal again but if i fall preg that would be a good thing, but i too would want another natural birth, so now not sure who i should go to, any recommendations? my kids are 7 & 5. oh and thanks everyone for ur input learning sooooooo much.
He opened me right up, but I did notice on his website that he now does it via lap.
Dearmum, 3 days wow how excited you must be!!
Mumof seven huh? he he he good on ya babe!! I'm stopping at 6.Gosh Bree seems to have grown up really fast.
Ok going to have to come back to finish this.......(sorry)

If so you can add me or you can PM me your name and i can look you up
ME Jodie OThman;)
thanks storm, i feel more confident now when i see dr woolcott, hopeing you would say he was caring, im a little cautious who im going t o go to this time round dont want it stuffed up lol. yep holidays well im with my kids all the time like i said but holidays we get to just take things easy go out and have fun without meeting our deadlines for posting our tests away etc, we all need to take things easy enjoy out kids while they are young it just goes too quick i m amazed when i look at my girl who turns 8 in march and i wonder where has the time gone!!! time just flys by lol, oh im thinking i m getting clucky!!!! oh no
[SIZE:dance:YEEHAH 1 DAY TO GO AND IM PREGNANT:dance:

WOOHOO Jodes......i will be thinking of you when you have it down.
Hey, have you girls ever experienced agonising pain in your hips around AF time ? I have so much pain in my hips that im nearly in tears with it......ive never had this before ever, and this morning i woke up with it.....very strange in deed
Yippee Jodes!!!!! Best of luck tomorrow!!!!
Can't say I've ever experienced that kind of pain Kiya.Hope it doesn't hang around.
Hey Jodes:happyforyou::hooray::stickyvibesboy::stickyv ibesgirl:
All the best hun, thinking of you.....
Sorry Kiya, never heard of it... hope it cleard up soon. Maybe its a pulled muscle or something ????
Bel if you have had natural births then the reversal wont change anything, you can still have a natural birth after reversal. A friend of mine had the reversal done down here in Tassie in Dec 07 by lap and is expecting a little boy.
Hi to everyone else.
thanks luv......i went and saw my gp and apparently during the night my hips displaced....then a trip to a chiropractor and hey presto "POP" they are back in place.....they were really hard to get back in, and he said they have probably been out since i had my last bub, but because of my bed being crap (well i think it is)....i walked in to his clinic in tears and walked out beaming......here i was thinking it had something to do with my AF and it wasn't...speaking of which, it is still hay wire, but now it is here on week 3 instead of week 2,which is an improvement i guess.....cheers kiya
Ohhh thanks to you all for your support:hug:
Hi Kiya....Babe i hope that pain goes away soon,it sounds like you need a new bed hey.
Guys i will pop in tommorro after my transfer is finished :hooray:
Best of luck !!!!
Best of luck today Dearmum. Take it easy!
well today i am a little better in my hips after they got put back in place.....at least i can walk and sit today, yesterday i couldn't even do that let alone drive my car into town....i felt so unco trying to drive....lol then when i got out of the car it looked like i had something wedged up my butt.....lol ....cheers kiya

How are you feeling onemore? Not long to go now!!
Hey dearmum, so glad the wait is over. How many of your embryos did they have to thraw?
Did they grow it to blasty stage? So happy for you and lets all  this little one sticks
Hi girls,
Funny you should ask storm !!!
I`m feeling pretty good, the heat has been getting to me a bit... 35 here yesterday, thats really hot for Tassie.
I went to see my ob thismorning about the sizing scan and previous shoulder distocia.
He sugested we have a s/c and I must say he was pretty dramatic !!! Saying that if complications arise the baby could die !! Which is fairly uncommon these days but can happen if they get stuck.... So we have decided not to risk it and have the c/s.
We will have our little girl on Jan 29th... cant believe its only 14 days away:o He said they like to do it about 10 days before your due date.. I`m happy with that, last time they booked me in 2 days after my due date and I went into labour on the day.
Well gotta go, tea time. Boys are hungry.
