Ok ladies, I have never suffered from period cramps too much, just a little twinge.. I get more cramps when I ovulate!! :lol:
Well for 2 days I have had bad period like cramps, but no sign at all of AF??? I have had 1 period since Harmony was born....
I have masses of globby gel though... :rolleyes:
Is it on the way, or is something wrong?? I've never had this much pain from cramps before... its simiular to afterpains!!! :doh:
Could just be a build up to AF. I tend to get very crampy before AF arrives and for the first day or two depending on the cycle ... or ...... are you TTC? sounds just like what I get before I get the bfp.
Oh, and does anyone know what I can take while I'm breastfeeding??? I feel so blah.. and it hurts.... :cry:

I believe that you can only take panadol. Thats all I will take, advil etc are not recommended for BF. Maybe try a heatpack?
I find Nurofen better than panadol for period pains. And I was told by the midwives in the hospital that it is fine for breastfeeding, just not when you are pg.

Well its certainly not impossible... :doh: we haven't been too careful but a little bit, if that makes any sense..
I know its not ovulation cramps, I get those in little pin points on my sides.. this is definatly in the middle down low..... if poas is neg (as I suspect it will be), it will be a doozy of an AF when it finally gets here.. its bad now...

wow - funny you know , thats how this one happened for us - not trying but not preventing either.
Seeing that you are BF I think panadole is the safest option, do you have a wheat bag or hot water bottle? I always find these help me or prior to AF a nice soak in a hot bath with some epsom salts - relaxes the muscles nicely not to mention give you 20 min just for you ;)
Yeah Nurofen is fine to.
PB, it sounds like you need to get your pain killers and Nurofen ready, I had bad period pains when AF returned after having Matilda but I had never really had them before and I agree with Nae, if you can a bath is great relief.

I have already had a af since birth, and it was just like normal, which is why this is knocking me for 6... not used to it....
No way of stopping things that are meant to be ;)

PB I hope the cramps do settle down for you they are horrible. I use to be doubled over almost crippled because of mine when I was a teenager. try stretching them out a little bit like pushing your hips forward hands on the small of the back and lean your shoulders back iykwim. relax into the strech an dhold it for a few seconds. sometimes stretching the muscles can help also ?
Ad's grabbing a test on the way home, just to rule it out, so I can take some pain relief, and maybe have a glass of wine when the kids go down so I can relax a little....

a heat pack and wine sound great also if no BFP.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! in all the years I have done hpt, I have never had one where the control doesn't come up, and it just happened!!! :wall:
So sticking to panodol tonight and will check later.... thanks ladies.. the cramps aren't easing up.... :rolleyes:

Either way, if you are BF then it is pretty much the same as if you were pg as far as what you can take etc.

Have been TTC for over 3 yrs now. Its not looking good again this time but I suppose there is always a glimer of hope.

Sorry Nae - bringing bad news. AF is pretty much on my door step. Don't think I will even have to go for the BT. Supposed to go Thursday when we are on together but don't think I will have to go. Thanks for your thoughts and crossing everything.
