What is your 4 year and 2 year old's bed time????
how successful are you with this????
Hi,
I have a 21month old who goes to bed by 7pm. we start at around 6:30-6:40 he brushes his teeth, pj's, books, prayer, cuddles and kisses and then its goodnight. He's great and goes down everynight. He went into a big bed a couple of months ago in preparation for the baby I'm about to have (1day past edd at the moment) and has never once gotten out of his bed at night (he gets out in the morn and plays and knocks on his door when he wants out) so we r very lucky.
I think having the routine with both dh and I really helps make bed time an enjoyable thing for him, he now starts saying book book after he's had his teeth brushed and we're taking him to his room. and he sometimes says bye and starts waving for you to get out before the whole routine is even done if he is pooped and just wants to sleep lol
DS is 3 and ahald, 7:30ish is bedtime, give or take 15 mins
Alexzander is four & his bedtime is 7.30pm. Some days it can be as early as 6.30pm (if we've had a big day out & he's overtired) or as late as 9.30pm if we're out somewhere.
Mine are 5 and 3, and bedtime is between 7:30pm and 8:00pm, but earlier during the week.
DD aged 4 is an insomniac and doesnt usually go to sleep until around 9-10pm. We put her to bed at about 8pm but during that time she is up and down a lot.
DS aged 2 gets put to bed at about 6-7pm.
2.5yrs and 6.30/7pm
almost 2 and 3.5 7/8pm
my son's is 6:30 and sleeps 10 hours wakes only once midnight for a few minutes and then peacefully goes to sleep again :)
Chase just turned 4 and Jadian is 5 and they have been going to bed no later than 7.30 since they were babies.
Somedays depending on how tired they are they will be in bed by 6.30 like tonight.
hmmm simrnz- i hate you! what is your secret?!
Thanks guys for your reply's....Ok, so all about the same time really...
so what time do they all get up? Maybe that is a better question!
My 2 get up at around 7am.
My 6 and 2 yr old both go to bed at 7:30. I usually start to wind down my 2yr old first and get her settled in bed and my DS comes in we read stories together in my DD bed and then DS hopes into his bunk and lights go off. I lie with DD until she is aslepp and then if DS is still awake will hope in with him or stand beside him until he is ready for me to go. Often he is fine but lately he has been a little jealous that DD gets more attention so we are trying to even it out
All my kids go to bed between 7 and 7:30.. Sometimes later if we are doing something special
We are generally up by 6 ish. Well the first one starts to wake by 5:30-6am then usually all up by 6:30-7
ds wakes at 7:30 so 12.5hrs
Our almost 3 yo usually goes to bed around 7-7.30 when she goes to sleep can be anywhere from 5mins after she is in bed to an 1.5hrs later.... Routine is generally pretty set and she no longer sleeps during the day (although she needs too:redface:). About once a week she crashes at about 6pm - she is up and going at 6am most days also.
Jaidan and Chase wake at 7-8am
Ashton is awake at 6-6.30am
The 2 older ones sleep right through. Ash does sometimes. Other times he will wake once for booby.
we are just at the beginning of setting a bed-time routine, so we aim for 7.30. i have been waking DD at 8am (which is helping with bed-time a lot, as she would sleep till 10am if i let her!) yesterday she woke herself at 7am, and was sound asleep by 6.30! we eat dinner at about 6, so 7.30 is a good time for us.
i lay with her untill she is asleep, most nights it only takes 10 mins, other nights i fall asleep waiting and dp has to come and check on us and wake me lol
ETA: forgot to mention, no daytime sleeps since she turned 2, but by 5pm she starts to get a bit ratty, thats when we start preparing dinner, which she loves doing, so that helps us get through the next 2 hours!
hmm... DS is 3, I guess bed time is around 7.30 where possible.. we're often doing something in the evenings, or DH gets home later than usual, so sometimes it's later. He's usually up at around 6am. He comes into our bed then, and actually went back to sleep this morning, yay! He still has a day sleep over lunch time, except for when he's at preschool. So he can go without, but he usually has to catch up after 2 days at preschool (as in.. will have a 3hr day sleep the next day to catch up!)
DD is nearly 1.5. No bed time.. just whenever she is tired. She still wakes a lot through the night, but is generally up for the day around 6ish too. But she'll go back down for a sleep not long after breakfast.
DS started sleeping through around 2.5yo and it was then that we could start using a bedtime. Otherwise it was just when he was tired too.
wow im a black duck here!
we aim for Ds goes to bed around 830 but some nights its as late as 10 (like last night). It depends on his afternoon sleep or not.
Dh gets home from work late, so i would hate him not to see Mason when he comes home.
If i put him to bed at 7, he would be awake too early!
My DD (17 months) goes to bed at 7.15-7.30 and my 3y.o DS at 8 pmish. They both still have 1.5-2hrs sleep during the day (at around 12.30ish) and are up at about 6am in the morning.
We do teeth/prayer/songs with both girls and then I put DD#2 (22months) to bed at approx 7pm (again, earlier if a big day or later if we've been out of course). She still has a 1 - 1&1/2 hour nap in the arvo but I always make sure she's up by 3pm otherwise bedtime goes waayyyyeeeee later :D
My 4 & a bit year old will sit in bed and read while I'm putting her sister to bed and DH & I will read to her then let her 'read' to herself for a couple of minutes. Lights are generally out by 7.20 as, this is very funny, she comes out to us and says, "I'm tired now" so we go in, tuck her in and off she goes into the land of nod, lol :D Sometimes bed is earlier if she's had a big day.....or if she falls asleep while reading, hehe. Ah too cute!
Both the boys usually go down around 7:30, which mostly, particularly on day care/kindy days is not long after dinner. Sometimes it varies - if we eat early the 2yo will go usually go down earlier, and on the rare occassions that DS1 has a day sleep he usually goes down later, maybe 8pm or even 8:30pm on occassion.
All mine 7:15pm....(5,3,1 yrs). 7:30pm at the latest.
#2 and #3 still have day naps - 2hrs. Always make sure they are up by 330pm....
I usually hear giggling and talking around 7am......
my DD goes to bed at 7:30 8 pm and gets up at 7:30 8 pm
my DS on teh otherhand goes to bed at 8:30 is asleep by 9:30 and up at 6-7am
so it is different for each kid but works for us. going to be fun trying to get DD into a normal bed...
7 - 8pm sleep
7-8am wake up.
They might wake for a wee but straight back to sleep.
it wasn't always like this!
