Anal Fissure? Anyone

About 5 weeks ago I had a sharp pain after Jed and I DTD in my rectum (no not anal..thats os a no go there zone)...it went after 3 days and I thought nothing more of it..... until

2 weeks ago when it started again (it co-insided with AF). This time I can feel a lump near my rectum but not on it, and only one side of my buttox is hurting.

Its gotten that bad that I cant walk, I cant sit, I can only stand without the pain. I also get it in waves but even just sitting here now, I can feel like a lump/ball on my left side and its throbbing. I couldnt go to sleep last night until 1.30am from the throbing and ive woken at 4.30 and have had enough. I am not passing any bloody and TMI im a 5 times a day sort of girl at number 2's but that was died down to twice a day. I feel a bit of relief after going potty ;)

I tried the spositries up the woo hoo (blah not noice :sick:) - voltaren and mersyndale for the pain....I just cant take it anymore.

So if someone out there has had it could you please let me know if what im going through sounds like it? And what did your doctor prescribe for you to help.

Dont worry either, Im booking into the doc's today so he can have a looksie :redface: and I dont go to the doctors unless im dying.

How painful. You sound in agony really feeling for you. Did someone tell you you had a anal fissure? I am not really sure what that is the only thing I could think it could be is an ingrown hair (which is very painful and throbs I think they take on an infected appearance and if you shave or wax down below your at increased risk of getting them) or else a hemoroid which can also be extremely painful and throb. It could be other stuff alwell but these are too reasonably common things I have seen as a nurse. Hope you get better soon.

I wish it was an ingrown hair lol. THe lump is internal...not on the outside of my buttox IFYKWIM and its not near my anas but about an intch away from it.

Someone suggested it might be a fissure to me last week and after reading about it...it sound like it.....ah I dont know lol. I shoud ring my MIL and have a chat with her as shes also a nurse

No you don't want an ingrown hair down there. They require surgery to remove and you end up with a great hole that needs packing for a week and also a hospital stay for at least a few days. Well there the ones I have seen. They are not common in women though mainly men and they are really bad. But I didn't read that bit that its between the two so I think your safe. Maybe its an infection of some type and some antibiotics will help clear it up. Definately go to the dr sounds very painful.

So the lump is inside the anus is it? Like an inch up?

Emmy im hoping its something that can be cleared up with anntibiotics.

I can feel the lump to the left of my anus...I havent inserted a finger or anything to check

Maz hun - that doesn't sound like a fissure - from my experience with a fissure, it was a tear and it hurt like razor blades to go number 2's - even when they weren't hard at all. it was damn painful. it also doesn't sound much like a 'roid, given you said it was a hard lump.

to me, it sounds like either a polyp or an infection of some sort - wish i could give you more clues. go see your doctor, and get them to check it. be aware, if it's hurting now, it's gonna hurt like a biatch when they check it out - but if it's an infection, they may be able to lance it and get rid of it. if it's a polyp, they'll refer you for more assistance.

for now, until you can see the doctor, try rectinol if you can. it's not pleasant, but if you use a rubber glove you can get it right up to where the pain is and it will numb the area. when i had my fissure i refused to use the applicator cos it hurt (who wants a hard tube up there when they're in pain ffs??) but putting a generous amount of rectinol on the glove and putting it in gently myself, it worked ok to give me relief

i completely sympathise with the pain factor hun - wish i could offer you some more help to get relief - hopefully the doctor can help you with answers ASAP...

im stressing so much about this today...its really killing me....the pain isnt excessable via my exit hole babe...its about an inch away from that

ive ben using sposies and they have done nothing. Ive got a funny feeling its an infection .....im gonna ring the doctors again and see if I can get in earlier cause i dont know if i can handle this pain until 5.20 tonight

I am wondering if it might be a pilonidal sinus .... basically an ingrown hair... I had one right at the edge of my anus when I was 18... It was from a head hair... But for your sake I hope it is not... It took a few weeks to grow, and just kept getting worse and bigger, and was cut out with surgery...

Hopefully you can get some answers from the dr...

It sounds like it started as a small split when you were dtd and has gotten infected, causing a cyst. Mum had that a few years back. She had to have it removed sugically and has metamucil daily to keep #2's soft to avoid getting more splits. Hope the Dr is helpful!!

oh hon, that's sounds like agony, phone your gp surgery and tell them you are in constant excruciating pain. five more hours is too long to wait.

ouch babe - sounds painful - but good luck - hopefully a day or two of ouchies will put you on the road to a quick recovery! will have my phone if you need to vent or scream at someone!

Owies - here is to a speedy recovery

im home....my brain is fuzzy and my bum goesnt have the lemon in it anymore. After me telling the doc's that they have to get patholgy in to get blood out of me (they never belive me) and 2 1/2 hours of trying they finally called them.
I had a cyst that was 6cm in diameter. So now I have a valve hanging out of my butt, about 2 inches about from my woo hoo. I like to call it my 'puss on tap'. The doc's said its just one of those things that can happen...its burning a bit now due to the cut. THe valve will be taken out on friday and then things will be a bit better. Ive gotta have salt baths and sell flush the valse in the mean time (didnt I tell ya's im a gumby doll)

I am now also allergic to morthim. (I cant spell for crud can you tell). they gave me only 2.5ml and my hand went blue, swelled and got a nasty rash on it....nioce one

My woo hoo is all in tact...no need for fibre or anything..my diet already does enough of that anyway. Im just scared to have a pooh now cause its so close...not that ive had the urge (for a change) but omg fart woo hoo..the old poo poo valve can still swing them :)
