I read this series as an early teen, and found it all really quite disturbing. I still think occasionally of the boy with a pitchfork and stuff. <shudder>

Oh yes, 'My Sweet Audrina' I liked that too!
I read heaps of those as a teenager, loved them.
But now as an adult I think the issues are just too depressing and disturbing. I've gone soft in my old age, I can only handle nice stories or I can't sleep at night!
I first read them at about 12...gave me quite an education ...and then again at about 14 I think.
Looks like I am off to the shops. I love Virginia Andrews and that series is my favourite. I only have Flowers In The Attic now though. Thanks for that.
I noticed a difference between the Virginia Andrews books & the change when she passed away & they went to VC Andrews. I didn't like the latter ones nearly as much.
I didn't realise there were so many different series! I read the FITA and Heaven stuff when I was a kid - utter rubbish, but it's not going to stop me re-reading them LOL!! Off to Big W tomrrow :)
Sarah, I was the same I think I only read one season with the new writers and i wasn't overally impressed.
I have them all right up to the current release. I can't put them down even with the writer that took over. I got the last series all 3 books for my birthday and had them read in 1.5 days Andrew refuses to buy me the books now cause I have them over and done with so quickly LOL
I bought the FITA series today at Big W - now I am embarrassed to read them in public LOL!! They are like a Mills and Boon!
Funny thing is I also bought "Good Taste" magazine - it was 25 cents cheaper than each of the books LOL!!
