My all time favourite book is The Chrysalids by John Wyndham. Has been since I was a young teenager.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I cried, I laughed out loud. One of the funniest and saddest books I have ever read.
Soo many books, thanks everyone for your reccomendations Ill be adding them to my list :). I know one book is so hard to narrow it down to, Im torn between three and cant decide the answer to my own question :rofl: the one I keep going back to is alight historical romance but there is something about it that draws me in every time, Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon. Generally though I read mystery/thrillers or action books by authors like Tess Gerritsen, Lee Childs, Kathy Reichs, Vince Flynn and lately Alex Kava
Shanti: I was feeding lying down but DD3 seems to need to be upright to feed or she gets hiccups and then wont settle. Im able to get to sleep quickly after reading, the biggest problem is if I get to a really captivating part of the story and want to keep reading and bubs is ready to go back to bed. Dont tell my DH sometimes Im tired because of reading not because Ive been up all night with our DD :lol:
MD: Im using my iPad and either iBooks or kindle so dont need a light but I might be suggesting the beanbag thingo for a mothers day idea :) where do you get them from these days, I remember seeing them in bookstores but they all seem to have gone bankrupt (guess the ipad might be partly responsible there:()
I loved 'A piece of cake' by Cupcake Brown, its a biography about a girl growing up in foster care and her troubled life. Has a great ending :)
Sararose - you can't beat a good "Jack" for a read!
I got my DH one of the beanbag things from Dymocks. Agree with MD - they're fantastic.
Hands down;
* Silence of the Lambs
*PS I LOVE YOU
*Tiger Eyes
I couldn't put either down until they were finished. Xx

Hmmmm for flat out quality, I'd have to say Midnight's Children, by Salman Rushdie.
Anything by Jilly Cooper is a good fun read.
