I buy everything in bulk from healthfood shops like nuts, seeds, legumes etc I soak dnt use tin, everything is made from scratch. I buy fresh food, it's frozen for later use after cooked, soaked etc. Tins contain BPAs apparently. Everything in a packet has some form of preservative whether it's salt or a number, we don't consume it!

I think i will continue to use tinned tomato as well we just don't eat tomato on it's own anyway so until i get the veggie garden up and running and maybe grow my own i will stick to just buying it.
We buy frozen veg but again once we get the veggie garden going we will do a few veggies and things FRESH.. YUM
I didn't even think of things like Pasta but we buy fettucine as it's the girls favorite, one day when i'm more adventurous i will give making my own a go ;)
We eat a lot of fruit and we don't generally buy a lot of snacks for the girls aside from tiny teddies and DP thinks i waste enough time baking so will leave the biscuit side of things alone for now.
Will make a conscious effort though to continue doing our own bolognaise, our own pizza's, will check out that other thread for side dish ideas.
Am going to do DD1's b'day cake FROM SCRATCH this year ;) and might try and find some muesli bar recipes for DP and the kids :)

Well, we've now replaced a couple more things - bought an ice cream maker and have so far made our own ice cream and our own frozen yoghurt! Both tasted super yummy! Plus, with some fiddling, I think we can start using fresh fruit for both, instead of having to buy it frozen (which is still better than the already-made ice cream and yoghurt).
We also got a soda stream, so no more soft drinks! DP makes soda water and can add it to juice or just have it plain.
