I am a rooibos girl now since TTC and its funny but normal black tea tastes weird to me these days. Can't stand earl grey, I worked out the headaches i was getting were from an intolerance to bergamot, even bergamot oils set me off.
I do love my tea though, hate coffee...would kill to have a good T2 type store nearby.......
I'm an Earl Grey girl or I also love it with cardamom pods in it.
If you haven't tried it you have to. Just get whole pods (a small bag because they lose their aroma quickly) and chuck one or two in your cup or a few more in the tea pot. It doesn't overwhelm the taste just makes it extra yummy.
One of my friends chucks a bit of cinnamon bark in her tea but I don't like it as much as the cardamom.
DH likes the white tea and he's also into herbal ones. We have about 15 differant tea and he picks depending on his mood.
As far as I know the jasmine tea is made by putting the flowers on the tea leaves as they're curing to infuse them with the scent.
I love my teas, I have quite a range of "dragon ball" teas from Eumundi Teas, I have 3 teapots, one asian style (with matching small bowls), a "normal" teapot (for when I'm slack and use teabags) and a gorgeous clear glass one with a reservoir in the middle for the tea leaves/balls.
I've just made a batch of vanilla & jasmine dragon ball tea and it is smelling incredible!
Tomorrow morning with be Japanese Dew Tea (of course after my first mug of plunger coffee).

yep it is - they unroll as they seep, these ones are about the size of a pea. I've just finished the pot. I've also had the flower blooms which look incredible in the glass teapot.
Another fave of mine is the Arthritis Blend that Eumundi Tea does - have a friend who is an amputee (lost hand as a child) and that was about the only thing that would take the dull ache away from his "hand" in winter.
I seriously need to head back up there and do a stock-up of teas, now that I hear my x isn't anywhere up there (or won't be shortly) I can safely come up there (and visit Armeh) without looking over my shoulder in fear.
Does anyone know of a nice place to get some yummy teas in Sydney?
brontide - I love cardamom in coffee too. Also, totally OT, but I love to tie a few pods in some thin fabric and pop it in your undie drawer, makes everything smell spicy and good.
lil - I drink rooibos with soy milk and honey. My sis gave me a rooibos chai blend from Byron, it's divine. I tend to just drink it when she's here though, don't know why.
I forgot to add Turkish Apple tea - drank ridiculous amounts of it while travelling in Turkey, then was thrilled to find it back here.
I have three teapots. And one tea cosy. :)
Kellie, try the tea centre. I think there is one on Rhodes and there is one in the city. They have a website and ship.
Jaspers also sell free trade tea online.
I've got about 3 different Rooibos blends - 2 of which are great as iced teas in summer :)
I went and pulled all my teas out of the cupboard before and not including the tea-bags types (incl those teabags from T2) I have 6 different types of "loose leaf" and "exotic" teas - which means I have about 15 different types of tea in this place. Hmmm and winter is the perfect "drink tea at night" weather!
Mmm, snugglybean you reminded me of a tea I had at a friends place, some sort of mint tea. I think it's a middle eastern tea too, it was so yum. I didn't ask her how to make it though.....

Snuggly, we have a Turkish cafe nearby - DH is addicted to their apple tea.
I wish I had a 'tea place' like this T2 nearby!! Do they have an online store at all??
Unfortunately, due to the lack of anywhere to get 'specialist' teas from, I'm a 'regular' tea person. Traditional Afternoon all the way here, seeing as Woolworths doesn't seem to stock ANY Lapsang Souchong anymore (I was lucky enough to score a couple of boxes of Twining's brand LS last year, they've not had any on the shelves since).
I am a big fan of chai though, I just bought some white chai teabags and am working my way through them speedily...
T2 do have an online store :)
brontide - ohhh, excitement! I love the "real" stuff - T2 does a blend but it's not the same.
GM - I didn't realise you couldn't get Lapsang Souchong anymore - I don't really like it, but I respect your right to be able to access it, and I love the smell of it.

SNAP! being a dedicate pom! i drink up to 15 cups of Rooibos a day!! (yes i do need the loo a lot! ive always wondered if this is healthy though as it is really my only source of water intake although i know it is caffeine free

I have a "tea cupboard" :lol: I have a slight obsession with tea...especially T2 teas! My favourite T2 teas would have to be Monk Pear and Passion. Just discovered that a local shop here has started selling T2 ...very dangerous :)

Really enjoy Irish Breakfast and Orange Pekoe. Used to really love Lady Grey, but went off it with my first pregnancy, really should give it a go again. Cannot stand Prince of Wales or Russian Caravan.
Ooh, all the talk about Turkish apple tea, I had forgotten about that one, yummo, there was a little tea place at the Vic Markets I used to go to for it.
Been drinking a bit of Madura green tea lately for a change, it is not too bad, then again I am not a green tea afficiando.
Just have a ceramic teapot and a tea ball for a single cuppa. I have always drooled over the insulated tea pots that T2 had.
