I cook them with peas, then put chopped ham thru them and grated cheese over the top. YUM.
I dont like all the numbers in the flavouring so if i use it at all, i put it in while its still boiling and drain off the water- bit of flavour still, but not full on.
when i do them for my hubby and DS i usually mix it through with a sauce of some sort
Ok girlies...this is a cheap, nasty and heart-stopping 2-minute noodle special that I feel compelled to share. Truth be told I have not had it since my uni days 11 years ago, but as I recall it sure beat the normal, bland, just-add-the-sachet solution. I invented it all by myself ;)
Step 1: Get a small bag of cheese and onion chips and crush the bag so that all the chippies are broken up.
Step 1: Boil your noodles, add you sachet and transfer to bowl.
Step 3: Add a knob of butter
Step 4: Pour entire contents of crushed chip bag onto nooodles
Step 5: Top with a whole lot of tasty cheese and microwave until cheese is melted onto chips
Step 6: Apologise to your heart and make sure you have the ambulance on speed-dial
hahahaha Sambo. I love that you invented it yourself!
We use 2 minute noodles a lot as we are cooking for 7 people in this house. We get the no name brand bulk pack, which is $1.09 for 5 packs. It is definitely a cheap alternative to pasta or rice, and they go far.
I serve them lightly friend with vegies topped with a sauce (soy, kecap manis, sweet chilli etc). I also serve them in casseroles to bulk it up as long as the casserole has a thick base.
And I mainly use them in stirfries which we cook a lot of.
I have used them in omelettes, quiches as well. I can't live without them!

All you two minute noodle enthuisiasts need to try Mi Goreng Indomie brand noodles, sooo cheap, and they come with seasoning, chilli sauce, seasoning oil, soy sauce and crunchy fried onions to put on top! They are sooo good with some egg and vegies stirred thru! yum yum yum I could live on them! I think I know what we're having for dinner tonight... :D
That's what we get...I buy a box of 35 for $10 from our local asian grocer! So delicious and to make a meal out of them I cook some meat (whatever I have in the freezer) and a few veg (whatever I have in the fridge!!) with the seasoning...oh yum and so quick! It's one of my can't be bother cooking meals!
It sounds like the recipe I use for chow mein. That has a packet of chicken noodle soup in it! She's right it is yum!!!
I loove chicken noodles but then maggi went and changed thier flavouring  to make it "healthy" ... yuk :p but the "I love coles" brand ones taste like the old Maggi ones so its ok. *phew*
I cook them up as usual, drain, add flavouring and then mix in some cream cheese. Its a bit wierd at first but once I got used to it I dont know how I lived without it.
(same with mcdonalds chips - i cant eat them with out mc chicken sauce to dip them in.)
i hated 2 min noodles and anything similar bcoz mum over killed it when we were kids BUT at the start of last yr after a rather large drinking session, i dont know who but someone cooked up the mi goreng noodles and OMG so so so so so so good! i always have some in the cupboard
oh man just another thing to add to my "must buy" next time I'm at the supermarket!!
 I think I'm going to have to wait until I'm not pregnant then read this thread again then see what sounds nice. At the moment my stomach isn't handling much .
