Thanks AJC I should be able to find it. I found a recipe for it the other day, an eggless recipe, the person did say it should be tried with egg first as it is too difficult to make without unless you are an expert :s I am happy to see other recipes though.
Tan - Bread is meant to be easy . All of my sourdoughs have been failures  I am going to cheat and add yeast next time. French bread is meant to be super easy though. We will see when I get around to making it...

10 minute pasta salad with cherry tomatoes, beans, fetta and parsley with a lemon pepper dressing. It would have had fennel and garlic marinated olives as well but I forgot that I'd run out. Doh. Easy peasy.
ETA - yay - I did have some olives left...

LMS - The trick with sourdough is to allow for long rising periods - sourdough doesn't do anything quickly - my first attempts resulted in paving slabs too...try letting it rise for at least 6-8 hours initially and then a further 4-5 hours for the second rising.
French bread is easy, although you'll need to put a pan of water into the oven with it to generate steam - steam is essential for a good crust on french bread.
Gnocchi made with egg is much more resilient and less prone to break up when it is cooked, so it's usually the right way to go - especially if you want to add some additional ingredients to the dough - sun dried tomato, pesto, mustard, olives, etc can be used to give the gnocchi a little more flavour of it's own.

DH had a cup of soup with toast and I had plain toast. DD has been snacking ALL day so didn't need a full dinner tonight (little piggy) so had some fish fingers... Will try better tomorrow night

We had pan fried chicken with fontina, sauteed in milk (sounds weird, tastes delish!) with some steamed vegies. DS is sick though, and wouldn't eat a bite, not even a carrot (which is his fave) so he had yoghurt  :)
DH is currently asking for ice cream with choc and caramel topping  I think I might have some ice cream too, but I'll make my own sauce.

Lazy Sunday dinner here - roast chook (from the supermarket), steamed broccoli and carrots. With gravy.
