Teirae; I think maybe you misunderstood. I meant to either have the tatts facing away from me (you got that bit), or to have them, um, sideways? on my arm.
If I had them sideways, they could be bigger (longer), but I don't know if I want them really big. I think, across my wrists as I first thought would be best. I suppose I could always ask Mr Tatt.
Oh yeah. Another question. Tatts for chicks. Better in colour or black and white? I guess it would depend what and where and the person, yes?
I have 3 tats. I have big plans for my back but circumstances keep changing it. Origanally I only ever wanted 2 kids so I wanted to get a horse shoe with my girls names inside it and have their birth flowers on either side of it. After having DD2 I have decided that my baby having days are not over and I also am not very keen on the November birth flower. So I am back to the drawing board. I think I will still get the horse shoe with the girls names though, I can always add to it when inspiration hits me, or another pregnancy does.
And to add, out of my 3, inside of my ankle hurt the most, mainly when it got close to my ankle bone. In saying that I found it more annoying then painful. How good does it feel when they stop and spray though.
Helle: I was annual to, 07 08 and 09, then got pg in 10 so missed out!!
Next one I am not sure about... Help
Me!!
I want my kids to be down my left wrist but I am not sure if I want just their first initial, their first and second initial, their full names, do I want the birthdate in there somewhere?? What do I do!! It will go down my wrist so charlotte's will be just below the crease where my palm becomes my wrist... I'm stuck!
Hmmm... Mine were/are annual too. First in August 08, then March 09, then April 10. It's possible (but not probable) that my next could happen late this year, I suppose... I doubt it though.
Sent from my iPhone so forgive the speelung misstacks ;)
Not stupid at all! I was coming in to ask that exact question, well actually I wanted to see if some one could tell me if you could get a tat while BF, same thing :p
I have 2. One on my left bb with my DS's names and a horrible rose. I need ot update it to add DS3 but I need a whole new design for a cover up. My XH has the same one, he didn't want to choose his own so like a 2yr old threw a hissy and said he wanted the same as mine but didn't like the flower I had chosen. STUPID ME caved I later found out that the rose is actually the rose of death, but with colour instead of black :shakehead: Never let anyone sway your choice in tat!!!! I can't wait to have it changed, lucky I need to wait until DS weans, it'll take that long for me to come up with a design. Libran trait, can't make a decision to save myself
The other is a little green tree frog on my ankle, I love them they're so cute. He could probably do with a touch up he's lost his vibrancy.
had a pedicure today so my tattoo man doesnt have to touch a feral foot  its tomorrow!!! my butt cheeks are clenching already
 got my butterflies  and I worked myself up for nothing I think it hurt the least of all of my tattoos :) pics on my FB if anyones interested
Hmmm now you've made me rethink foot or my arm! lol. Bugger, thought I'd worked it out! Can you link a pic to here at all? I don't have you on my FB :(
With my foot it wasnt just the pain my foot kept doing in voluntary twitches

Im so loving it!! it just looks better everyday :D Im wondering if DH is getting sick of me saying "check out my sexy foot"
DD found some butterfly stickers today and wanted to be like mummy and put one on her foot and insisted Milly have one too  she even wanted cream on it  pics on fb
Ooooh just found this thread!!! I have 3 tattoos (so far...) a little cartoon dragon on my right shoulder blade, a :) on my left boob and a treble clef and mum & dad bracelet on my right wrist. Anyone in Vic been to Shinto Tattoos?
Oh I can't believe I missed this thread!
I have two :D Would love a few more, but funds are a bit restricting atm. So I'm piercing instead
Im not a moisturising kinda person but I want to keep my tattoos looking nice so can anyone recommend a good everyday moisturiser? I read somewhere once there were certain things you should avoid as its not good for the colours but I cant remember what it was. Ive just been using the bethpanthin when they get a bit dry but Im off the smell.
Im noticing the one on my foot gets dry fast but jeez its looking nice now its all healed :D
I only moisturise the one on my ankle, I can't reach/see the one on my back
I use avado or pure earth noosa, both natural products :)
Bepanthem is the best thing for tattoos, most good tattoo shops will actually sell it with your tattoo! That comes straight from my world renowned tattoo artist BIL!
I am allergic to bepanthen, found out the hard way when my tattoo didn't heal after 6 weeks. I used paw paw ointment instead and it healed in a week.
I use bepanthen whilst its healing but was just after a general moisturiser that wasnt going to affect the colour
Jason at Shinto did my last tattoo, he is excellent. I saw his work on a guy at the gym and had to work up the guts to speak to him so I could ask him who the artist was  The other tattooists area great too, my husband is hoping to get some done soon but prefers the style of one of the other artists there.
Jason at shinto is my BIL!! I took my sister to get her first tat a couple of years ago and he was our artist, now he's the father of my beautiful niece! :D
Lol at asking a random guy who did his artwork at the gym!!
I have 1 so far on my right hip. I got it done to celebrate my freedom when my exh and I broke up. I'm going to get on my left hip - 2 little devils hugging with their tails coming up to make the top part of the heart over their heads. For the oldies on here do you remember when the little devils were popular. I'm hoping to get it done similar to what they looked like :) Will have to find a good tattooist up here in Newcastle now that mine has retired :(
so its been a few months since my last tattoo...think its time for more
I was thinking either something for mum, just cause I love her :D but I asked what her fav flower was and she was not very helpful she said maybe an iris but wasnt very passionate and the mum ones Ive seen on-line just don't do it for me so if I don't get something for mum I was thinking some of the cupcake ones are cute  decisions decisions  Ive got appointment in a month
Hi, just found this. No tats on me, just yet. Hopefully in the next couple months!
All I'm chasing is an awareness ribbon on my forearm. Went to a few places in Bendigo and "we don't do awareness ribbons". WTF!?
Its going to be lime green, which is the colour for gastroschisis. The condition DD was born with.
Anyone got a forearm tattoo? Pain? Cost? How long to heal?
Just chasing some information.
BTW I heal soooo slow. My c/s is 4 months old and its still red.
I have my anni date on inside of my left forearm, its small and only text, but wasnt painful, and was very quick. My dh has both forearms almost covered and wasnt botheted by any of them (maybe why he keeps getting tats there)
Yay I lasted a year! And fx will be utd soon, so might be able to go longer....or maybe I should quickly sqeeze one in!

I currently have 2, a celtic butterfly on my lower back, and a flower/scrolly thing on my ankle. I had them done when I was 18 and 19 respectively, and there's no deep and meaningful reason behind them. Still like the butterfly (not that I see it much where it is!) but a bit blah about the one on my leg. Thinking maybe it just needs recolouring?
I am seriously considering having a third, ever since I went with my mum to book an appointment for her to get one. She's ended up with a really nice hummingbird and flower on her ankle. She's always had varicose veins and what she calls "ugly legs" so the shortest pants she'll wear are cropped pants,. But she decided she wanted something pretty on her legs because she's never had nice ones.
For my third, I'm thinking something on my foot (so great to hear you didn't think it hurt too much party-of-five), and I want some delicate scrolls and flowers and the kids' names. I think. Or maybe just their initials. Got to think about it some more, and I might go see the girl who did mum's and see what she can draw. If funds allow, I've told DH he can get as my birthday pressie as its my 30th this year.
DH has a tiger walking down his shoulder, and he's always planned to get the kids names worked into the design somehow too, but its something he hasn't got round to yet.
I have one - a dolphin on my hip (close to my groin) which I had done when I was 18. I'll be honest, I'm not a tatt fan at all but two of my close friends were killed in a car accident on my 18th birthday (one of them was one of my best friends) and they both had the dolphin tatt on their hip so a lot of us girls (including both their mums) got the tatts done too after they died. :)
I love it. It's hidden most of the time and is just really there for 'me' but sometimes it pops out to say 'hello' when I'm in my bathers . It's a constant reminder of my two gorgeous friends.
