Quick update :)
I was semi brave and didn't use the lidocaine. Instead I took 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen an hour before the tattoo. It if worked then I'm glad I took them, because it hurt so bad I thought I was going to be sick, or cry, or both  I'm such a wuss! Looks gorgeous though, here is a photo (please try and see past the redness and the fact it is covered in bepanthen) http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...49921848_n.jpg
My tattooist says I was right not to use the lidocaine though, because it wears off pretty quick and the pain comes back without the benefit of any endorphins to dull it and is often a lot worse as a result.
I love the colors :)
Beautiful!
Sent from my Galaxy so please excuse any spelling mistakes :)
It's gorgeous! It's in a similar spot to mine and IKWYM about the pain.
It looks so good. Well done!
Wow!! Where was the pain the worse???
The foot and the inner parts of the wings. Oww oww oww!
Hmmm cause i'm thinking writing on outside of foot...ouchy? Cant be as bad as ribs hey?

Well it was bad, but survivable! Outside of foot would (I imagine) not be quite as sore as the top of the foot because there's a bit more padding there. What are you getting written?
I've always loved the quote from a song in Miss Saigon so one side "I have a heart like the sea" and the other "A milllion dreams are in me" agghhh I want it done now!
I love your pheonix...would love one but I do believe they have to be big and I just don't know where!
