Shampoo and conditioner

forshelby that's some great info there! I have used an afro comb since I was about 12 years old but I do comb dry before the shower and after when it's wet but it sounds like that's ok with the afro comb. I tried the bedhead honey & oatmeal shampoo and conditioner maybe 10 years ago when my hair was perfect anyway and i found it to be really expensive, HARD to get out of the bottle :wall: and it made my hair a bit blah so I'm not even sure if I finished the bottles that I had. I tend to agree about the dry brittle hair and I feel like I want to cut my hair really short to get all the color treated hair out and then start growing natural stuff. The only problem is that I don't like my hair short and am tempted to dye it lighter again anyway so I may as well find good products to manage it now so that the new stuff doesn't get too damaged.

You can get it at the Point Cook Town Centre Health food shop. The shop is called Replenish.

Cherished - I've had this problem too. It was a choice between cutting my hair very short, or cutting more than usual at each trim, and maintaining the good hair I did have growing in at the top. I chose the latter. It took a while, but it worked. If you really want to dye it lighter, do it as a slow process. Don't just go say, from black to white blonde..... because your hair will snap clean off your head, lol. Ask your hairdresser to slowly lighten it, (if she's good at her job she can do this for you without you having to sport a lovely 'orange' blonde) and remember, a gradual process is gentlest, and you'll thank yourself for being patient when you get there! I once went from almost black hair to very light blonde, it took just over a year to achieve that result, but my hair remained soft and smooth, not frizzed and....... well, like straw.

I just ordered MooGoo shampoo and conditioner. I had to do it then check out fast though so I didn't order half of their site :lol: I might potter down to the health food shop tomorrow morning when it's cool and have a squiz at what they stock! I sent an enquiry to the company with my skin concerns trying to figure out what cleansing oil they'd suggest too. I might go nuts on the moisturisers if the shop stocks them

We love moo goo cream for DD's bum cream and we use the bath milk for us all, even in DD's hair! Lathers up great and smells Devine!!

I want to get the shampoo to try but it must be bloody popular as every time I see a moo goo stand and look for some they are sold out!!!!

There was heaps in the health food shop! The man said it was REALLY popular and suggested the shampoo for my hair issues. He said that there were people that had tried everything in the past and finally settled on moogoo and came back for more. I ordered online though because I didn't want to chance the shop being out of stock. It gets really strange with stocking this time of year because Kal is so empty. In the shop I got the MSM cream, oil cleanser and anti aging cream. It was $84 worth but my face hasn't been itchy all day and the dermatitus patch has shrunk from the size of a 50 cent piece to the size of a 10 cent piece overnight!

crazy lady thats fantastic!!! I cant wait to get mine too :) I've also decided to try henna out on my hair to keep all the chemicals away and make my hair nicer

So glad I found this thread! I have been whinging about my hair for ages now... No matter what shampoo I seem to use it feels terrible and is really annoying me since I've usually been quite happy with my hair.

Just used my moogoo shampoo and conditioner last night and it has definitely improved the feel of my hair already. It still needs a few more washes to feel lovely and silky but it's better than the wiry frizz Afro that it was! (my poor hair straightener has copped a real workout lately!)

I do agree with everyone that said it didn't lather though. The first shampoo barely lathered at all, but the second shampoo was better. Maybe I need to just shampoo twice, not sure yet.

Anyway, I bought the shampoo, conditioner, milk wash (which can be body and face wash which is great), lip balm and a cute little cow online. I can definitely say they are a great company - I ordered on Sunday and got the order Tuesday and postage was only $7!

I am actually converted from regular shampoos and conditioners and now use Moogoo shampoo and conditioner. I think its the best my hair has been in YEARS. I colour my hair all the time. the ends are brittle even after a trim but my roots normally get oily after a day.

Since using the moogoo stuff I really only NEED to wash my hair once a week, but I still like to do it 3 times a week LOL. best of all its mild enough to use on DD :D

only thing I miss is it does not really lather up :D

Tammie so when you ordered direct form them online they had the shampoo in stock? I have tried 3 of the local stockiest near me and they are all out of the shampoo until Feb. I'm bursting to get some and try it out so I might order online.

Re the lathering up I always shampoo twice anyway, the 1st shampoo I use more product and then for the 2nd I only need 1/2 the amount.

Question for those who use the body wash on your kids, what age do you think it would be suitable on. What we are using on DS will run out in a couple of months so was wondering if the moogoo wash would be ok for a 6 month old?

Cherished, I ordered on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday which is fantastic service. if you order directly I think they would put on the site if there was no stock.

I have also started using the milk wash as a facial cleanser and it seems really nice too.

I am such a convert! My hair needs so much repair that I am just hoping that over time it continues improving it.

Is this moogoo? I'm really interested in trying their cleanser... My skin has just gone so horrible all of a sudden.

Yeah, the oil cleanser! it's AWESOME. No more spotties now. It's an odd feeling to use at first but it's sooooooooooo good. It cleans your skin without the tight feeling you get with most cleansers and doesn't leave a greasy residue. I'm using the MSM cream as a moisturiser to stop the psorriasis patches on my jaw and that's working ace! I use the anti aging stuff on forehead and around eyes/crows feet area. Loving it!

Ooh I'm really tempted to give it a shot.
