Legs done, hair washed so it was squeaky clean, blow dried and straightened (even put a treatment in to protect it from straightening). Today I'm going grocery shopping. Put on some jeans, a new jumper, earrings and a necklace. :D
On the one occasion I wore my trackies out of the house, I was busted by someone I hadn't see in a few years, but have known since I was three. I was mortified. I've never done it again :ROFL:

Tuesdays Child - Her name was Tamara Nicole - she's the Rundle Mall stylist. She was fabulous. I came back with notes for reference in addition to the clothes. She is $70 per hour (with a 3 hr minimum) which is the same as the Westfield Stylists and most other free lancers. I spent just under $1K on the day - including her fee, and came back with about 50 different outfit combinations (and my style being 'classic, natural and feminine' saw me spending those $$$ in Country Road, Jacqui E and Esprit). I highly recommend her :D!
We just got a more generous tax return than expected....I'm going shopping! Though nothing too drastic since I'm trying to lose a substantial amount of weight, but I need clothes! I will throw out the daggy maternity stuff I still have and get some cheap, but nice stuff, and some funky new boots!

But....
I cant "reach" my legs to shave them...
Can't see my bikini lini at the moment
So the best I can do is that I have lovely clean hair which I have been using treatment on for a few weeks.... and I will now go and get dressed.... I have a few things to do but have been a bit lately with the fact that its so cold here... my toes are hurting lol and nothing "really " fits...
Cant wait until I have my big breastfeeding boobis back and my belly so I cant atleast breathe hahahaha
But I will try .... I need a desperate hair colour too....

I'm doing my little thing for myself today - I need to buy some new work pants cause the pants I have now aren't fitting, so I'm looking for black maternity pants :)
Did some clothes shopping today, totally unexpected, just went for a look and walked out with bags of bargains. It is a good start to it all :D
Never been a makeup girl and I live in trackies, might make an effort to shave my legs and brush my hair properly tomorrow :)
Am thinking of starting contours so might need to go out and find new 'workout clothes'.

Shaved my legs, moisturised, straightened my hair, put on make up, earings. Went shopping. Bought two new tops! :)
Best part, they don't have holes in them! (yes my clothes now are so worn, most have holes and rips... ha!)

Leesa - thanks for the stylist details. Wondering whether I can splurge on a stylist - it's something I've been thinking about for ages. I'd love to have just a shopping list of things I need and grab one at a time as a treat for me, or when I feel I have the cash.
I am going out for tea (fairly casual) with friends, DH and the kids. And now that DD is at kindy I am about to leave the computer and straighten my hair, think about what I will wear NOW, instead of at the last minute, after I have gotten both kids looking gorgeous. I may even paint my nails. YAY!
FM What a great idea. I have been feeling this way lately and have started getting up 20minutes early and getting myself ready 1st! Makes a huge difference just being able to moisturise perfume and a little mascara really helps!
I havent had my hair cut for 10-11 months eek!! I think I shall have a look at some cuts and arrange to get it done by the end of August!
Legs are waxed. Tomorrow I will wash my hair.
Leesa, thanks for the stylist details. I mentioned it to DH tonight and he actually thinks it's a good idea (although he balked at the $70 an hour).
I actually got up this morning got my DD to watch my little man (girls are at their dads) and washed my hair...it felt awesome!
I didn't get todo my legs as I ran out of hot water (that is what happens when your teenager daughter beats you to the shower) so they are on the agenda for tomorrow.
I am now toying with the idea of going and getting a hair cut this morning :D
It is so wonderful we can inspire each other to bring out our inner yummy mummy!!
My hair is coloured, no more disco hightlights for me :clap: I even put a moisturising mask in it and straightened it.

This thread inspired me. Liebling and I spent two hours at the hairdressers yesterday. Both got haircuts, I had colours put in.
DH hasn't noticed yet. Now i remember why I don't bother so much! Ah well. Going to have to do my eyebrows now so they suit the new hair.
I put on moisturiser :p
If I get a chance with no sick kids will shave tomorrow :)

Flyingbutter - if you feel more special having your hair freshly done, then I think that's all that matters, bugger whether anyone else notices!
I finally shaved my legs after 2 months, wanted to get it done before belly gets too big and I topple over! I'm shocking at moisturising afterwards though - usually I sweet talk DH into helping me out with it ;)

i splashed out on the clerance rack in kmart last week, bought some sexy new bras and some knikers (not so sexy:lol:) that actualy have elastic! first new undies in 4 years :o yipes!
friday i convinced df to watch the older 3 today so i could go the hairdressers, but couldnt bring myself to go, its in the plans if i get a chanse during the week, will take a bit of courage as i want to just tell them to go for it... i NEED something done so i look like im about to turn 24 not 14... last time i went was just over a year ago for a trim, she hacked so bad it still hasnt grown right.
i can see it now, df asking who im trying to impress!
I had to laugh.
I had my hair cut the other day (about 4 inches off) when I got home I straightened it and did my eyebrows and gave myself a little facial.
When I went to the shops I dropped my sunglasses and a guy rushed over to pick them up for me, them I had trouble opening my car door with the bags so another guy came over to open it for me, then the guy at the city farmers flirted with me and gave me a free fish :D (things that do not happen when I look frumpy ;) )
I tell you what that little ego boost gave me a nice lift...just what I needed :lol:

This thread inspired me to do a couple of things.....im sick of looking frumpy. I got my hair done, monobrow done, brought some new knickers and bras and threw out all the ones that "could" last that little bit longer :) Feel so much better already
Woo hoo go you sexy things you! I wore my one and only dress today for the first time since forever! When I came out of my bedroom everyone including DH asked where I was going? What was I all flashed up for? Who was coming over? DS even went and got his shoes and asked if he could come with me? They were all most disappointed when I went and hung out the washing and went about my normal Monday! :D I am still going well and I have added perfume to my routine this week. I usually save it for good but lets be honest I dont go out enough and the stuff goes off before I use it!
maybe i'm the only one, but i find the actual term "MILF" - really offensive.
i would like to take care with my appearance (if only i knew what to do), i'd like a special someone to desire me, but if i got dressed up, and was referred to as a MILF, i would be so upset.
I bought a hair straightener late last year, so i could straighten my hair and look presentable when i'm out in public with my DD, i don't want her to be ashamed of me, straight hair doesn't suit everyone, i don't think it suits me, and i can't work out anything else to do with my hair, not that i think i used the straightener correctly anyhow.
Despite buying heaps of anti-frizz treatments, i can't keep the flyaways under control. It was so easy when i was younger, i just washed and dried my hair, after brushing, i had gorgeous waves, NOW i understand the phrase "your crowning glory", cos up to a few years ago, i had that. Now it's gone, i need to work at it, after decades of never needing to use a hairdrier to style my hair, i have no clue what to do. Even after "making an effort", don't end up with a good look. My confidence is gone, and i'm sick of buying products blind.
it would be so nice to be able to trade my maternity bras in, for non-maternity bras (i've been wearing them since Autumn 2006). i can opshop clothing, but not underwear.
Well, after four years of wearing maternity abras, DW has just bought her first "normal" bra, and she looks gorgeous! Can I just say, though, how much I hate the term "MILF"? Maybe I've just watched too much porn, but I find it really objectionable.

WRT the hair straightener and using it correctly- can you have a look on you tube for some videos demonstrating what to do?
Are you near a hair house warehouse? They can show you how to use the straightener to do all sorts of fab things- just pretend you're buying something :-)
For frizz- I use 2 products... Both names escape me now :-(
I'll have a look and get back to you....
If straight hair doesn't suit you- can you wear hair accessories? Or you other products to make your hair behave?
Maybe instead of MILF, we go with hot mamma?

ZF - I used to use the Australis one - wasn't too excy from memory but I use a mineral make up one now so I'm not too sure. You could put nail polish on toes/hands? Have a bath (with or without kids!) Do your hair, wear some nice knickers, wear a nice pair of earrings, put on some makeup/lip gloss.
i stoped at the hairdressers yestarday, not sure it will be a regular thing.. 3 hours and $100 later :o
couldnt pass off i didnt do anything, df came home "why are you sexifying yourself for?" *blush*insert but grab* asked him what he was on about, "well your hairs cut or something, difrent color and sraight"
might have to break out the straigtener keep it looking good :D

A playdate! Yay me.
Oh and out yesterday wearing one of my newly created outfits (new pants & re-found top from back of my wardrobe) & met a neighbor who told me I was looking fantastic & awesome :D
Goal for this week, take the old maternity clothes out of my wardrobe!
Ohh i got a compliment yesterday although i think it's part of her job.. went to contours to have a look around.. . she said in no way did i look 'obese' and i should have more confidence in myself :rofl:

I dyed my hair, have straightened it daily. Went out to the theatre on Sunday night and was able to get super dressed up - and had the bonus of leaving DH and DD at home, was a nice rare treat for me. Although I'm paying for it with the blisters on my toes :ROFL: Rotten boots!!!!
Such a lovely thread! ZF, I use a really great tinted SPF moisturizer from the body shop, it comes in a pink tube. It has lasted over a year and was about 30 dollars, you only need a tiny bit, it can be a bit heavy if you use too much.
I found some Benefit benetint pocket gloss on eBay and just waiting for it to arrive! Can't wait- I think Cai recommended it on the make up thread but am sure it's going to make me feel like a glam mummy!!!

So Mr "I-don't-care-what-you-wear" has just admitted that he's noticed what i'm wearing (ok so maybe not THAT specific) but that I'm dressed nicer and he said... um yes, you look cuter and i love you more. LOL!
I am SO using that as ammunition when I go clothes shopping and spend vast wads of money!
Today - boots (my feet are in shock that they're not in runners!), jeans, new tops, make-up, earrings, just got a fringe trim & booked in a colour for next week. HAWT!
Oh and new undies, bonds on special at Safeway :D
