having my Dad's 80th birthday tomorroow and i am doing chicken cacciatore in the slow cooker. But I am going out tonight so have limited time.
So I have chopped up all the veg and am wondering whether I can brown the chicken and vegetables and throw everthing in slow cooker to sit in fridge overnight and then cook in the morning. I am guessing that is a no no as the chicken is effectively still raw?
I was not confident in making it today and reheating tomorrow as I thought the veges might fall apart. Or I guess I just get up early tomorrow to brown everything and start it. It supposedly only needs 2 hours on low but I am making extra so I should allow 3 hours.
what works best?
