Amelia, yep, these are pretty cheap (but cheerful) presents.
A one litre jar with the clip down lid from the reject shop is only $2 or $2.50, and then its the cost of ingredients, and a piece of ribbon and large tag with instructions on it. I wouldn't wrap them, in case the recipient is a present shaker!
If you have a stash of jars, like moccona or the clip lid, then you don't even have to pay for a jar. Try op shops for jars too. Sometimes they have quite fancy ones. I think making gifts like these and other baked goodies are usually fairly economical. And they're made with love and kind thoughts.

Thanks Netix.
In my rummageing around through cooking mags today I found this in one of my Taste ones. Its exactly the same principle as the brownies and cookies but it is different versions of hot chocolates.....Mocha Magic, Classic Cocoa and Perfect Perppermint.
If anyone wants me to post the recipes let me know. The only thing is that it doesn't list on it what size jars should be used.

Thanks for posting those, never thought of doing drinks. As for the size jars...
Each cup is 250mL. So...
Each mixture is four whole cups (1+1+1+0.5+0.5), which is four times 250mL, equals one litre.
Easy. ;)
