so i am making a chocolate mudcake with ganache icing for DH for his birthday on sunday and i really want to write happy birthday on the cake but i am not sure what ingredients i need to write on it. can anyone help me out please

You can buy writing icing from woolies. Could you use extra chocolate icing and a piping bag to write on it as well?

a friend just recommended melting some white chocolate down and doing it that way. will check out woolies tho tomorrow. thanks heaps

To make royal icing all you need is Icing sugar and water. Some people use egg whites but ive always found water to work fine and the icing sets hard. Just add your food colour to it if you wish. Otherwise you can buy white chocolate writing icing at coles or woolies.
