I think coming up to 12 is THE TIME. It's way earlier than I expected TBH, I thought she'd start about 14 for some reason.
This time is a killer - from the various posts here, and chatting to my gf's.
Jes - hopefully she will settle soon, it might be worth getting the book ast recommended, I've heard very good things about it. You've done nearly a year of this so the cycle will wind out soon :pray:.
that what im hoping for lulu i thiught ive done this for a yr but everyone keeps telling me yr 7 just the start yr 8 worse then from yr 9 thaey get better well i actually quite scared i dont think it could get worse shes already ly ing about where she is going and she stole money shes not a bad kid shes just confused where she fits in i think i think shes still trying to find herself and she very popular and i think that makes it even harder
Does she play sport or have an outside school activity - it may help move her focus to something more productive.
I sometimes feel for the kids in the 'popular' groups, they tend to have a lot of followers and/or biatches around them and they have more of a profile to maintain iykwim?

yeah she plays soccer the money thing only happen recently .
she was grounded and she done a chore for me to pay back the money
the other week i had a really bad day and i sat down and had a glass of wine and it was great it was so relaxing im thinking i should do it more often

Laura has been brilliant the last two days. I had an operation yesterday (laparoscopy) and are still sore and sorry, she has been very helpful with aston. my mum is here, but laura has been wonderful. nathan went to a friends house today, so at least on the bickering front things have been quiet.
Lulu - i am looking at getting laura back into horseriding. I stop in the last 12 months because the logistics of getting her there with a baby were too hard. but with aston being one now, things have changed. I was thinking that if she had something else to focus on, and she LOVES horses, it would be a good place for her to expend her bossy energy... lol

lulu - that book has been really helpful for me... it reinforced that I was on the right track, and threw a few good suggestions in too for me to try. Laura has actually been pretty good for the last week or so. I definately think its her cycle kicking in... which means IT will return. I'm going to get some evening primrose oil, and B's for her...nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Yeah I really like he parts where he explains the chemical state of the brain and why they get so moody.
Belle seems to be past that now, although I'm sure it's just a remission stage!
I also think I am leaving her on her own a bit iykwim? It's hard with the little ones yelling for attention, and she is responsible - but still only 15.
Really glad I have the book!
I studied the whole brain chemistry and development thing at uni for teaching three years ago... You'd think I would remember!!! but it was good to have the reminder, and I went oh yeah, of course!!! that's why. Duh Vicky! I have to say that since I have taken a step back, and started applying new parenting techniques things have improved.

my life is a bit of a drama lately at the moment im covered in spots as im having a bad reaction to ansectic from my surgery last week so i look lovely
but on a good note clarissa is being wonderful shes being so helpful .and pl;us theres only 6 and a bit weeks to the wedding so it is all happening in our house at the moment
