Thrush - another not so nice prob

Some advice please? Sorry if to much info
Have had the itchy bits happeningfor a few weeks, and abit of white discharge first time yesterday (but not today). Not so sure if it is thrush, or leucorrhoea. Either way, driving me mad.
Went to chemist today, got Canestan treatment, with pressary and the cream.
Is this safe to use? I havent seen my ob or gp about this. Only just worked up courage to go to chemist.
Chemist man says only insert pressary 1/2 way, inst on pack says see GP, also says dont use applicator for pressary.
Has any one used this, should it be safe, or should wait to see ob, which is like 4 weeks away?
    Thanks

Mum2be - I have used it and it was perfectly safe. Definately don't use the applicator to insert the pressary and definately only insert half way. I used it without consulting my Ob and one of the other girls in my belly buddies group was told by her OB it is fine to use.

When I posted about it Kelly suggested inliven. There is info on here somewhere about it.

If you're not 100% sure it's thrush - I would see your doc.

Canesten pessery is fine. Canesten cream is fine providing its not Canesten once daily bifonazole

    Thanks MG hehehe https://www.bellybelly.com.au/misc/mivitality-inliven - In-Liven Info

In Liven is great for thrush, prevents it too, not to mention all the other good stuff It's common in pregnancy, here's an article on Thrush In Pregnancy for you: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/pregna...rone-to-thrush. If you take it right past birth and during breastfeeding it can help with nipple thrush and oral thrush with your baby.

I have been taking In-Liven for almost a year and not a whiff of thrush in any form. It's a great product and lots of women on BB are taking it, there is a forum for it even!

Yep, I had a mild case of thrush a few weeks ago and my midwife said the canestan with the applicator was fine to use too, just be careful when inserting it. The m/w recommended that my DH go into the chemist and get it for me though. Apparently some women have had trouble buying it because they don't like selling it to PG women!?

That Yakult stuff is good too.

    :

Yakult its full of sugar and not that potent Fast Tract & In-Liven have 13 strains of pro-biotics, all the commercial drinks on the market and some in pharmacies like Inner Health only have 1-2 strains and not as concentrated by a long shot.

Is the InLiven just pro-biotic? I mean, can i take pregnacy multi vitaims as well, can they be all taken together?
The whole pressary idea, i didnt like, so i havnt used it, am just using the cream, and got back onto the yahult, and it is seeming feeling alittle better today.

Fast Tract is pro-biotic only and gluten free, its also even more potent than In-Liven. In-Liven is a combination of wholefoods and pro-biotics and in powder form they cannot get the pro-biotic count as high as liquid. It's a mega dose either one, but the Fast-Tract is the best if you just want to rid your body of thrush In-Liven detoxes your body, which is why so many BB members have felt so great on it

You could also try seeing a naturopath - they help treat thrush too. BellyBelly has some great naturopaths in the BellyBelly Pregnancy Centre (VIC only).
