Hi HJ
For the first time ever I have :ms: all day every day and I swear to you that you don't want it. It is like having vom/gastro as since you don't keep much food there is not much to come out the other end (sorry TMI).
I bet your looking forward to your next scan. I should be haveing the N/T scan that week I think. I also see my OB tomorrow so will know more then.
Take care
Chris

Chris - can you please send some :ms: my way!\
i am looking forward to my scan but im worried that things arent going to be okay! i have been feeling too good lately and havent even been getting up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet these last few nights - so naturally im stressing!
are u nervous about the NT scan? my OB was meant to give me paper work on that scan - i think i will get it done!
im off for another blood test tomorrow - will get results friday - i hope hcg is still rising - and i hope progesterone has taken off aswell - im over the injections now
-
hugs hj, heres hoping you feel sick as a dog today, for your own peace of mind.
:grouphug:
-
Hahaha thanks - but it didnt work - instead ive been getting really bad pains on my left side :-(
-
-
I used to get pains on one side or other during my successful pregs...
-
ah i just saw your ticker!
i used to get funny pains around 8 - 10 weeks with DD - i think pains and cramps are different kinds of feelings?
-
Guess what guess what?!?!?!?!?!
I got my blood test results back today and HCG was 110,000 and Progesterone is 140!!! doc said he was happy to stop my progesterone injections as everything is going really well but to be on the safe side we are going to half my injections from 200mg twice weekly to 100mg twice weekly for a few weeks and monitor that and see how that goes.
So im very happy with that!
as for the pains i had yesterday he said it was prob ligament pains!!!!
-
Hi HJ
You can have all the :ms: I have had enough of it to last me a life time.
It is easing at the moment so I hope it goes by the 12-13 week.
It is great that your blood levels are right on track and that your over the needles:dance:
Sending you lots of :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
I have been in hospital this week because my bp went up and I now have to take tablets to control it.
Little Pip is fine and that is all that matters.

The next step for me now is another blood test on thursday morning to check how progesterone is going and hopefully at my doc appt thursday arvo i will find out that all is good and the placenta has taken over and i dont need anymore injections!! fingers crossed!
-
Best of luck today HJ,. but all sounds soooo good that you dont need much more luck!
-
hi ladies
I've been jumping in and out of this thread and it is great to hear the progress that you have made!
Sorry to hijack but i was wondering if you could tell me where and how much your p4 injections cost as my FS and i have agreed that next time we do IVF i will be using injections rather than progrestrone gel or pessaries
Thank you
-
Hey, you'll never guess--my FS put me on progesterone capsules, too, but I'm in the TWW. He suspects I have progesterone problems too...
-
Hi TM
are the capsules the pessaries or gel
or are you talking about ones that you eat!!!?
-
Hi Hj
How did you go on thursday????
Sorry haven't been on for a while..... Catching up today!!!
I have been in and out of hospital but all OK now.
It's great that you have told your Mum and Dad. I know you couldn't wait to tell them.
Take care
Chris
-
Tempus - welcome aboard with the progesterone issue! its not fun but at least its a easy fix and i have learnt that things could be worse :)
Hopefully u get a bfp soon - on ur first round of pessaries just like me! hehehe
Chris - i didnt get the best news on thurs! im still on the injections for a few more weeks - but im now going for blood tests weekly to monitor it! i was soooo upset - i felt like a failure - i just want to be able to do this by myself! and driving all the way to the fs twice a week is exhausting considering how far it is! but i really have no choice! im a bit worried tho - my fs is going on holidays next week and he is the only doc around in bris that gives these injections - have been told another doc may be able to give them but cant read the blood test results in regards to how much i need etc - so im going for a big chat with my doc on my next injection day thursday! hopefully my levels will be okay for me to go on to pessaries again or something! one can only hope!
How are things going with u? why have u been in and out of hospital?
-
Hi HJ
Don't think like that!!!!!
Your not a failure!!!!
You could be on something until 14 weeks as that is when the placenta is fully formed and working. this is just the road you have to travel to get your baby.
I will swap ya!!!!
I have been in and out of hospital for the blood preassure. I have to take tablets 3 times a day to try and stableise it. I am still going weekly to anti natal to keep and eye on it. I nearly had a stroke it was that high. I am more tired than ever as the pills make you tired.
I hope you feel better.
take care
chris

Actually, I'm taking an oral progesterone called Prometrium. I asked the FS about pessaries and stuff, (thinking about you at the time), but he says he's had good results with the pill.
-
hey ladies,
long time no hello, sorry.....
well, we just found out we are preg. but havent been to the FS yet and my doc managed to squeeze me in on 14th. But if my problem is the same thing as yours, (as my doc suspects) wont that mean its too late to start on progestrone supplements?
soz to hijack thread xox
not excited at all, just terriby scared
-
Kitt3n - Woo hoo thats great news! congrats - u were on any progesterone supplements before falling preg were u? hopefully it wont be too late! how are u feeling? how far are u? im soo excited for you
As for me im stuck on the injections for another 2 weeks and it has been put back up too 200mg instead of the 100mg twice a week! its starting to get me down and im wondering when will i ever get to stop them!! not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel at the moment!
-
As stressful as it is to need medications and interventions (and believe me, I understand. I'm a very low key, low tech, diy'er myself), you could look at it like this: that we're lucky to live in a time when pregnancies that otherwise might not have a chance can be saved by these interventions.
Best of luck!
btw I got a bfn. yuck, but I'm coping.
-
Tempus - sorry about the bfn! i know how much that sucks!!! how are u?
and your right we are lucky but still.............. argh its frustrating!!!!!
-
Kitt - congrats on your pg i look forward to following you in the next 8 months!
Temp - im sorry for your BFN - it never gets any easier
HJ - wow your ticker is coming along well sorry you are still needing the shots - but hey it will be worth it all in the end! can i ask did you find out wheer the shots can be purchased?
Ta
-
My doc didnt know where in melbourne - but mine come from a pharmacy called "THINK PHARMACY" do u have any of them in melb?
-

i will google it now
look forward to following you HJ and thanks for the help
-
hehe just googled it and they are all in QLD but one - in Melbourne!!!and not too far - just in the city
Thanks
-
woo hoo! that works out well for u! hopefully they have it! let me know how u go!

I need some help/suggestions from all of you who have some experience/knowledge with progesterone support in its various froms. After 8 months TTC it has become clear that I have a short LP (9-11 days) and low progesterone (highest it has ever got has been 21), but that I do regularly ovulate. My obs suggested clomid (his opinion was it was a better option than prgesterone as if i could ovulate "better" and make a better corpus luteum then progesterone would be higher- others in the clomid thread confirmed this is done). So this month I took clomid 25mg CD3-7 but again my highest post-O progesterone was 21 at 5 DPO, at 7 DPO it was 20.3 and the midwife thinks its on its way down. Iam 9 DPO today and FF suggests I test on mon 7/4 at 11 DPO (my longest ever LP). My questions are
1. Is it possible to sustain a pregnancy with progesterone of that sort of level?
2. Any thoughts on clomid vs progesterone supplements for low progesterone? and can you have both?
3. Any other thought/comments etc gratefully appreciated
Thanks for wading through this...am feeling desperate and despondent today Girldoc
-
Sorry Dr Girl - cant help with the Q but hope you find an answer soon
GL
-
DrGirl - Im no expert but from my past experience i dont think it is possible to carry a pregnancy with progesterone that low - mine was pretty low like urs also - however my LP was normal length i think it was 12-13days.
When it was discovered that i had low progesterone my FS started me on Progesterone Pessaries a few day after ovualtion that i was meant to stop a few days before af however i fell pregnant - so straight away he put me on progesterone injections which has helped me get as far as i am today!
I dont know anything about clomid so sorry but i cant help u there!
there is a vitamin called Vitex i think its called that helps lengthen your lp phase - a friend of mine had a short lp like yours and she feel preg 1st mth after taking the Vitex - i think its a natural vitamin that u get from chemist!
sorry i cant help u with anymore!
-
Hey everyone - i just thought i would let u know that im hoping my injection tomorrow will be my last one! fingers crossed!
-
wow hj, you are 13 weeks, OMG!!!!!!!!!
-
congratulation on reaching 13 weeks and GL with today's LAST injection!!
