milly - at 6dpo it's possible that you o'd a day or two early and you're getting implant cramps. From shortly after then I was getting the same feelings. Also, don't know if this is unusual or not (has anyone else felt it?) but I have been able to feel the embryo since around 10 - 12 dpo. Feels like a marble sized (or maybe golfball now!) ball in my abdomen, occasionally hurts but generally only if I stretch too quickly or on a strange angle. I can feel it there nearly all the time (a bit like a disturbance in the force lol). Was the same with my last angel but the cramps/tugging sensation a lot stronger, bordering on painful and almost constant. I suspect that by the time I got a bfp last time, it was alread over. :crossfingers: that you're getting implant cramps and will have a bfp soon! That would be so exciting! (ps. my boobs have been sore, but not achingly sore like last time)
cherished - Hope that bleeding stops really soon for you.
ferrals - glad you're seeing a counsellor, I've always found that to be the most helpful thing because it helps me get a totally different perspective on things, everyone around me is also usually too chicken to really speak their minds too!!
anila, sunny, sunbeam, coco, sammy, km1, tina and anyone else I've missed. My fingers are crossed that this will be your cycle. It's high time.

And i just keep getting kicked in the guts i just found out the waiting list for PGD IVF is at least 12 months :( what next!!!!
-
Ferals you poor thing- is there no way you can get fastracked? Have you decided to go down that road and avoid trying to TTC naturally?
Milly we can agonise and go nuts together-I don't even know if I am on the TWW but I am feeling nauseous when I swallow, just like I did when I was pg- is driving me insane, I am trying to talk myself out of getting my hopes up, I mean I didnt have normal RB and don't even know if/when I o'd or when she is due back...:wall:
oh and hope your exam went well :crossfingers:
Cherished good luck next friday, i hope you don't have to have a d and c :goodluck:
Thanks for everyone's kind words about the baby shower, its still several months away and I guess I am sorta hoping I will be well and truly pg again by then so it will all be fine (wishful thinking or a positive attitude, who knows!)
At least its the weekend!

I was wrong it can get worse i was just looking at another thread to do with PGD IVF and i was told the genetic testing of the embryo's isn't covered by medicare and the hospital and theater fee's are not covered either unless your health fund covers it mine doe's not so this lady so far has spent $14,000 in 08/09 S@#t that leave's us no other option but natrual and pray the baby is ok
KM1- I have emailed syd ivf to get some answers but everyone who is going through pgd ivf that i have spoken to say's really long waiting times and verrrrrrrry expensive i feel so deflated that my back up plan is just looking more impossible now how stupid would the goverment rather people bring these babies into the world and be a huge burden on the health system for there entire live's or reduce the fee's for screening and preventing these awlful disease's and syndrome's
I have period pain and feel miserable so RB should be here tomorrow no BFP for me.
-
Hello BB lovlies
I'm sorry to hear so many of you are not having a good time at the moment.
Ferrals-so sorry the news just keeps getting worse and that RB is coming just to make you feel even more s%#t . You are totally right it makes no sense that someting so vital should be so expensive out of pocket, but then when did the government ever make a good decision about anything?!
Anila and KM1- I o'd very late once and looked for info that I might still be pg and on ff there is a listing of late o pregnancies and one lady o'ed on cd65 and had healthy baby:jawdrop:
I'll be back later just gotta go eat something.

:grouphug: we all need a hug today too girls...
Ferrals that is heaps of money :( Have you thougth about increasing yoru private health fund to cover IVF etc? We are on family hospital cover with AHM and IVF is covered after a 12 month waiting period which we have served (not that I expect to need it) but it's an option if you want to look into it... We originally got that cover so that we could have bubs in a private hospital but it's a bonus 'if' we needed extra help... HTH in some way
Smallfryplus I don't think it's crazy to feel the embryo... The 1st pg I thought I could feel it too but was pretty quickly told by some that it was 'unlikely'... I still think I could feel it... I thought I was that in tune with my body that what I felt must have been it... but than I was shocked to have had 'no idea' that the embryo had died.... I felt like an idiot because I really thought I would have know what was going on especially after thinking I could feel it iykwim
KM1 & Milly It really is impossible not to analyse every little symptom isn't it... I don't know how many times I said my dh "if I'm not pregnant that I don't know anything or what the hell is going on" of course I said that every month! hehehehhe I've decided that it is impossible for me anyway to know when I am pregnant or just getting AF because all the symptoms for me are the same
Sunbeam :hello: Hello
AFM dh just left for 3 nights away, I wont see him until Monday morning and even than he wont be sleeping at home as he is on night shift 4 nights in a row so it will be a whole week until we are in the same bed :( So I'm exhausted and spend half an hour crying because I will miss him and I'm such a sook  I am totally emotional, looking forward to going to bed and cleaning the house tomorrow. Good night everyone xoxo
-
Cherished-sorry you are not going to have warm dh cuddles in bed for the next week, even more important now while its cold and while you are feeling upset. Hope you sleep well  Cleaning the house always makes me feel better too.
afm-We went to the naturopath last night and she has made up a herbal mixture for donor daddy and told him 4 other supliments he needs to take too, hehehe  not just me on all the tablets now. He started on menevit a few weeks ago and told me he has already noticed he is making more "stuff" . I bought a book called the Fertility Diet today so I will let you know if I find any useful info.
Have a good night girls, big hugs to those not feeling so happy :grouphug:. I'm getting cuddles tonight :D . Night night
-
Sunbeam-yeh the goverment is so backward if your a 16 yr old unemployed drug addict skank the government will give you $5000 when you have a baby but a 35 yr old hard working tax paying mum who gave up coffee for god sake trying to have a healthy baby BAD LUCK!
my DH also takes menevit.
Cherised-i was looking into changing my health cover and if the PGD is a 12 mth wait i may aswell change so by the time that they are ready my health fund will cover a bit more but if it is as expensive as they are telling me i dont think i will do it i am going to make an appt with sydney ivf and find out how much it all cost's and i wont be waiting 12 mths we will still try natrually and hope we get lucky with a healthy bub.
sorry your going to bed alone hope you have a electric blanky
I'm premenstral sorry to winge i'm just so fed up with not getting a break everything that can go wrong has anyway my lovelies i'm off to have a bubble bath my DH will be home soon we have the night off together hopeing to get some loving in before RB turn's up
-
Sunbeam: I have that book and although SOME of it was good, most of it was just a tad over dramatic and scary for me...dont eat this dont eat that dont drink this, dont look sideways...
I did find the chapter about the connection of the pituitary gland & natural sunlight very interesting though! Good luck hon. I have a gerbal mixture but i really and truely want to vomit when i have it so most of it is still in the bottle..DH has menevit but he doesnt take it religiously like i do mine, I didnt knwo it made them make more stuff? Thats cool! I will be making sure he has it every day.
We r getting the swimmers tested tmo morning...he wants to get up, have a nice breakfast and "play" to get his "sample" then take it into the clinic...Im concernd we wont get to the clinic in enough time for them to still be good to test??? Is that silly? We r only 10 mins from the clinic and they said to just keep it between your legs to keep it warm.
Anyone else had swimmers tested but not "done it" at the clinic?
-
evening all my beautiful ladies.
i have had a few wines and just really here to catch up on the days events, not much to say cd 46, is my new record, i tested and got a bfn.
ferrals, im not sure what to say hun, manly cause im tired and my brain is now mush, lol, but i do hope that there is an answer for you out there somewhere, dont give up call all health care funds, ring around, plead ur case, dont rest till u have a financial answer, a way to make ur dreams come true.
-
Coco we are taking a swimmer sample on Monday... I was also wondering how quickly you need to get it in to the lab... I didn't think they would be doing the test as soon as you drop it off.. . Don't they have a pathology collection and than do the test later??? We were not told about keeping it warm either? hmmmm I think I'd better call them before we fill the cup ;)
Sunbeam Your dona daddy sounds like a real treasure! I looked up menevit on the net on Wed but my dh gets all the ingredients in other vitamins and in the same or even higher doses so I am not going to get it for him.. I don't take elevit either although I heard it was great... Again because I'm getting the vitamins & minerals in other stuff... I'm interested to know what diet stuff they tell you in the book KMP :)
ferrals I agree with Anila, look around at the health funds even though it may seem expensive for the IVF cover it is bound to save you money on the actual IVF therefore you will be saving money iykwim and if you get PG in the mean time nautrally all the better, you can just keep the private hospital cover and have bubs in a private hospital with your own OB :) Good luck xoxoox
AFM I am really tired still... I woke up at 5:45 and my bleeding had stopped YAY and then I went back to bed and got woken up my my beautiful dh who was calling at 8am.... We were both really surprised that I was not up because I rarely sleep in like that... 'This' is what I should have felt like when I was pg, like sleeping all day
-
Thank's girl's i have been talking to another lady who is going through PGD IVF and she was telling me syd ivf doesn't have a waiting list as soon as they isolate the gene (10-12 week's)they start you on the ivf cycle but the cost is another thing i am waiting for her to reply as i was told the genectic testing on the embryo alone is $3000 plus and is not covered by medicare or health fund so i am getting conflicting info but monday i am ringing syd ivf and making an appointment to see them anyway enough about me you must be sick of all my drama sorry to go on about it but my DH has had enough so you girl's are my only outlet anyway i hope you all have a great weekend
-
Im done!
Stuff this crap!! After feeling ill all this week and being absolutley exhausted ive just tested and got a BFN! Im so over this! How others can be strong enopugh and patient is beyond me. I give up, im not meant to have children.
Take care everyone.
-
Sunny - Im so sorry that you are feeling defeated. You are meant to be a mum and it will happen for you. I understand how upsetting it is to get that bfn but its only a matter of time before you get the bfp we are all hoping for. You are stronger than you think. Its days like this that make you stronger. You are in what i call the depressing stage of your cycle but you are just around the corner of starting your next cycle that just may be the month it happens for you. Dont loose hope yet.
-
oh Sunny it looks like even my little ray of sunshine can have cloudy days too, just like the rest of us  I'm not sure how encouraging I can be as I am still really down myself... my bleeding is back again so I guess I will need a D&C next Friday because it keeps starting and stopping then starting again :crying: it is just so unfair for all of us in this thread. As you all know I had decided to not try so hard because it is just devastating when it doesn't happen, but who was I kidding? We want a baby! It can be easier to give up than to feel the pain of not getting something that we really want. Please hang in there, we are all here for you and care about you and your dh getting your forever baby. I'll be around on and off today if you wanna chat xoxoxo
-
Thanx Cherished and Maddison. I probably sound like a right selfish silly little twat. You're definalty right Maddison, I am in the deppressive part of the cycle.
Its just been so long now, and like Anila I just want the RB or BFP. All this time with no RB and no BFP is just a waste and for what?
-
Cherished: We just did ours this morning and we called before we did it and they said "dont muck around, you have to be really on the ball if you're doing it from home" the sample had to be there within half hour of him coming and they have to have the sample looked at within 2 hours or 1 hour or so. But mainly just he has to ...as my DH so eloquently put it... "blow and go":doh: he's so tactful...
Poor thing was so embarrassed when the lady was looking at it we went to the carpark and he says to me "she was looking at it! how embarrassing!!!" i told him she was reading the labels for the name etc etc...
So fingers crossed!!
-
Sunny - I know how that feels. My cycle before last was so long. A/F was 5 weeks late and even though i was getting bfn's the whole time i really thought i must of been pregnant for it to go so long. This cycle i am back on track. Think our bodies are just out of whack every now and then. Now im at cd8 and the excitment of trying again is coming back. Hang in there. You are going to be a wonderful Mum very, very soon.
