Hi All. Sucks to be back but here I am! I didn't come back straight away after the last miscarriage because it was just too devastating to even talk about. Once again I almost got all the way through the first trimester only to find out that the baby had stopped growing weeks before hand. I spent 7 months pregnant last year (over 3 pregnancies) and I have nothing to show for it.
We saw the OB as they are supposed to take notice after 3 recurrent miscarriages but when he reviewed my notes he wanted to discount the second one as it was only brief and my HCG levels never got very high. I was upset about that but he explained it was better to have had only 2 miscarriages than 3 as 2 could still be bad luck, 3 meant something different. He didn't have a lot of advice other than to get as healthy as I can. He half heartedly offered to refer us to his friend who is a FS but as I don't have a problem getting pregnant there might not be much in it for us. He still seems to think it's still just bad luck or poor egg quality due to age.
So after much soul searching I have decided to give it another try. In many ways I don't want to but I keep feeling my family is unfinished and I don't really want my DD to grow up on her own.
Today seems to be the first day of my cycle which has finally booted back up again. We'll see what happens.
-
Sammy - wow, that must have been a heartbreaking thing for you to go through time and time again. I wish you luck on your journey to try again. You are in good company here - I'm sure some of the other girls that see a FS might be able to suggest a few things for you.

Hi Girls,
I'm new here and thought I'd say hello.
I have just experienced my first m/c. I had fallen pregnant first month off the pill and last Wednesday I woke up to some very light spotting which only lasted a few hours. I was 6 weeks along. My hcg levels had dropped and an ultrasound confirmed there was no sign of pregnancy.
Because I have never had a m/c before I didn't know how much pain/discomfort I should expect to be in. Thursday to Sunday I was in a hell of a lot of pain. But today I am feeling a little better. Emotionally I feel ok now.
Yesterday I started light bleeding and I'm not sure if this is the start of my period or more bleeding from the m/c.
My partner and I want to start trying straight away so fingers crossed we have better luck this time. I have no idea how long it may take to fall pregnant again. You hear people falling pregnant straight away - a few weeks later, others a lot longer.
I wish you girls all the very very best!

Sammy-I am so sorry to hear your bad news i cant believe you are back here again i am glad that you have decided to try again if you are not happy with the doc decision i would go and get some karyotyping done through a geneticist it can take a while for the results and if age is an issue then you cant afford to wait months than have the testing if you lose another bub at least if you have it done and fall pregnant and everything is ok it is only the money for the appt you will lose out a geneticist will look at your and DH chromosones and genes the chromosone testing doesnt take to long but the genetic is about 4 months after all we have been through i have read a lot about chromosone balanced translocations that can cause repeated miscarrage anything that could help is worth a look into demand some answers to put your mind at ease and again i am so sorry i hope you are doing ok.
Tryingfornumber3-sorry for your loss and welcome to BB i hope you receive all the support you need here we are are pretty great bunch of gals and we all understand what you are going through i get a lot of my inspiration and hope from this thread i hope you can to.

I don't even know how to put this into words, somehow that will make it real.
I had my scan with ob this morning and he could see nothing at all in my uterus. He has done another bt and if my levels are still rising then he will do a laporoscopy tomorrow suspecting to find an ectopic pg. If the levels have stopped or dropped then I will simply miscarry.
Some how part of me is calm and ready to try again and full of hope and the other half of me is destroyed and not knowing how I will go on.
-
oh sunbeam i dont know what to say. it's easy for me to say stay positive but i know it's not easy.
i had my ultrasound last wednesday and the doc said there was no sign of pregnancy. it's not an easy thing to hear.
just wait till you get your bt results. wish i could say something more encouraging but it's just a waiting game hey. keep us updated.

Oh! Sunbeam :comfort::comfort:

Sammyp so sorry your back with us I remember you very well, I think you are very brave and with that kind of personality then you go girl you will get there in the end I can't remember how old you are but I am sure your not my age so pick yourself up and think positive we are all in here to get our BFP and I am sure you will get one soon and a happy healthy pg, won't hurt to get a 2nd opinion if you feel you need to but your Dr seems to be thinking of you as you have had a baby full term so maybe its the egg quality as he said but at least you know you can do it and you will again soon !
Sunbeam I am so sorry to read about your scan this morning you really have been through a lot just lately but I know how strong you are and if you have the strength to carry on then you should go for it we are a determined bunch in here and thats the main thing keeping positive and never giving up ! look after yourself and keep us posted,

Hi girls, I am really sorry that I am so bad in contributing to this thread. I come in here and read and think I dont have too much to say because all I am doing is waiting...you know that feeling of limbo? Its been 5 weeks today since I stopped bleeding. So am/was waiting for AF to arrive. Over the weekend my nipples have been burning a bit and had sore spots. I was thinking maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me. Last week...or maybe it was the week before I had some blood stained c/m, so thought AF was coming then. So today, while my dd's are at day care I thought I would get a few htp coz I love to poas! My lower back is aching and I woke up with a headache. Even still because I am addicted to poas, I just did...at about 1230. Obvioulsy not fmu, so wasnt expecting anything at all! Well, i peed on it and the line came up straight away and its so much darker than the control line....OMG...surely its not left overs from the m/c? My last blood test over 5 weeks ago my hcg levels were 3. I am excited/nervous...what do i do? Should I just wait a few more days and poas again. I feel sick!

Crafty-My DH said you need to have powerpoint program on your computer to open it if you don't i will have to find a way to convert this blasted program into one i can post in my profile GRRRRRRRRRR! it is s###ing me it is soooo beautiful and i cant share it.
Jahzara-let's hope it's just to soon to show up well thats my thoughts anyway i'm praying for ya!
Congratz-minimatron sounds like a BFP to me.
-
thanks ferrals...I am really scared. Shaking actually! I suppose its time to go see my dr again. I am wondering if I will be a pin cushion again. do you know if they monitor your hcg levels regularly post m/c? I need a drink!
-
minimatron - sound def like a BFP to me. i'd be off to the doc straight away! woohoo! can i ask you a question... after you m/c did you get AF or just bleeding from the m/c? i had light bleeding last wednesday when it was confirmed i lost bubs. nothing since but started up again yesterday afternoon and wondering if it's still bleeding from m/c or the start of AF.
keep us posted for sure!
-
minimatron: Sure does sound like BFP to me too, congratulations! Wishing you a H&H 9 months.
Sunbeam: Oh sweetheart, that's heartbreaking. I'm so sorry. We're here for you anytime you need to talk or vent, or whatever you need to do. Again, I'm so sorry, you'll be in my thoughts.
TFN3: Apparently you can be more fertile just after a loss, I hope you get a quick BFP and a super sticky bubba this time around xo
Sammy: Your story makes me so sad, it's horrible that you've had to go through that, I really really hope that you can get some answers, and some really good luck. Thinking of you sweetheart xoxo
Crafty: Awesome Avvy, love it!
Ferrals: Will PM you my email addy, thank you for sharing Abbi with us.
TTCALC: Your house sounds like so much fun! Probably quite a lot of work too though, lol.
Jahzara: I think i remember reading that the line had to have colour in it, to show that the HCG had bonded with the chemical KWIM? But, 9 DPO sounds pretty early, and each pregnancy is different so you never know.
AFM: I'm on day 18, so 4 DPO I think, getting some cramping, which could be good? Or is it too early for that? Seriously cant wait to POAS, lol. Somehow hoping I'll be this amazing person who gets BFP at 4DPO, lol! Part of me assumes that if I do get preg, I''ll m/c again, ah self protection. It's such a dif feeling to TTC before my m/c.
Well, should go study, love to everyone!

Sunbeam, Darling, I am so sorry this is happening. I don't know what to even say.
Obviously the IUI is working, do you have an appt with FS at all?
Perhaps if you are not already, they could think of putting you on some sort of hormonal support to help buba stick. Were you on Crinone pessaries and oestragen patches? Only ask bc that is what I had to have after my ET, perhaps it could help you XXXX
SammyP I am so so sorry this keeps happening to you XXX I do rember you you have popped in a few times to see how we all are. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you are going through, and the strength you have to keep going. Honey know that we are all here for you, sorry but welcome back to the thread, with open arms, wish you didn't have to be here though X
Ferrals I am dying to see what your DH has made for you and Abbi. I will check my email as soon as I am off here XXX Thank you soooo much for sending it to me honey XXXX
I am starting to struggle with the waiting game to get this cycle over. How did you do it?? How did you stay positive and happy when you were just waiting.
Craftymummy you sexy thing!!! Love your Avy !!!!!!
I hope your BT and Scan show signs of you being healthy and fertile, so you get to relax a little and not worry that each month will be your last.
I hope your migrane eases for you honey XXX
KitF, yeah slightly early my dear!!! What are you studying??
Jahzara I too hope it was just too early, but you know your body best. Just rest up, take each day as it comes, and who knows, you may get a nice suprise!!!XXX
T4N3, I am sorry for your loss, may your stay here be a short, but supportive one. Take care XX
Sarahrach I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum too XX
Mimimatron, sounds like a congratulations to me!! Well done. Please let us know how your beta goes XX
SPF, so happy to hear that your beta is rising very healthy!! Take care babe XXX
AFM, I am starting to feel in Limbo myself, sick of waiting for this cycle to be over. I feel as though I should be doing something....well I have been BD'ing, but that's about it!!
I am trying to relax and just enjoy the month off, but it is easier said than done.
I have just spent all morning washing out our old ute (DH baught me an old ute to go down the river in with the dogs) so I might load the doggs up, and a few JD's, and go for a sit on the sandbar.
Love you all X

Thanks girls...I suppose I should ring the drs. Just a bit nervous though! Tryingfornumber3...When I had the m/c I bled for 3 weeks. However in saying that, I had a 4 day break in between and as I type and think about it, I bleed initially for 11 days, then 4 days off and then brownish spotting for nearly a week. In that last week I actually passed the rest of the baby and my levels went from 200 to 3 in a week. So I dont know if it would be classed as AF. All I know is that today its been 5 weeks since I stopped bleeding. My cycles before the m/c were around 5 weeks long, however I had only been of the pill for 3 cycles. Hope that helps:)
-
I'm a negative blood group which requires anti d injections during pregnancy. My doctor said if I m/c after 12 weeks I would need an anti d injection. Do you guys know if this is correct or if I need an anti d injection regardless of how far along I was?
-
Kitfaerie-Ok i will keep an eye out for your PM i have emailed a few of the girls you do have to have powerpoint on your computer to open it though until my DH works out how to convert it and stay away from those awful sticks it is a bit early LOL but it wont be long until you can POAS away to your hearts content.
Murrycod- the waiting is agony and i don't know how i did it 6mths all up we had to wait to start our cycle it was depressing to say the least but not long for you now hang in there us rangas are impatient but strong willed so i know you can handle it.
TTCforN3-not sure but maybe you should check with your doctor to be on the safe side.
