Joey - How weird it must have felt for you to be welcoming AF. I'm so happy to see you being so positive and "knowing!" that this is the last time AF will be visiting you for a long time to come. You're such a gorgeous person
PS. I love the acupuncture :)
Easha - How did your DH go with "the jar"? I hope you weren't jealous ;) Hehehe.
Mollycat - I'm going to laugh if your temp is 36.3 tomorrow!!!
Plc - Enjoy your trip! We'll miss you!!
Larz - Good luck with your results
Jen Nuff - The calender is going very well! The abstaining is in process at the moment (just for DH, I can do as I please hehehe). Well, I think it's happening... I guess I can't monitor him all the time, lol.
I'm getting an avatar too! I messaged Astrolady about my membership so that she can help me sort things out :)
Angel Nuff - OMG, I saw the funniest thing and I thought of you! But I can't tell you because it's a secret  Don't worry though, you'll see soon. *mwaahhh*
AFM - I noticed that there has been a bit of talk about children on medication, and I just wanted to mention that I have two brothers that have been on medication since they were about 6. They are my younger twin brothers and one was diagnosed with ADD and severe learning difficulties, and the other was diagnosed with ADHD and slight asperger's disorder (and later with possible slight OCD and bi-polar tendencies). I wanted to stress that sometimes medication is the BEST option for some children. My brothers had major problems as children. One developed severe depression and self confidence issues due to an inability to learn that was a direct result of his inability to concentrate caused by the ADD. The other had huge behavioural issues due to the inability to concentrate, lack of focus, and due to his advanced learning which left him bored in class.
The decision to put them on medication was not taken lightly by my parents and many MANY options were exhausted first. We went tried counselling, naturopath, dietician, kinesiology, chiropractor, hand-eye-coordination programs, "special" school, homeopathy, sub-conscience reinforcement, and aromatherapy. None made any difference.
The choice to put them on medication was the best thing my family ever did. Their self confidence went up and they were not only able to concentrate at school, but were able to finish high school and both have gone on to do further studies at the tertiary level. They both turn 20 next month and one still chooses to take his medication, while the other one made the decision to trial stopping his medication about 2 weeks ago.
Just wanted to share my story because I'm pretty passionate about it. I'm pretty sure one of my brothers would have suicided without his meds.

Easha! Lol! I thought me and one of my bosses were the only people in the world to say "bless their cotton socks"!!! !

Hi Gurlies...I just wanted you to know I am here lurking...I want to know who gets the BFPs! I am doing fine with the decision I have made..I am just not sure I need to be posting on a TTC website when technically I'm not...but I'm lurking so what ever you write I'll see. Be good!
jen...not sending "happy mornings" has been very difficult to say the least...LOL

larz & fifi-- Sending bucket loads of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
plc--Hope you enjoy your trip! Be safe and have a great time, we'll be thinking of you and missing you! Take care of that little :babygirl:
joey & Easha-- No POAS for me... temp keeps dropping, so I won't be too surprised if/when AF comes knocking. Just going to leave it alone and see where it goes from here! Oh, and Easha, your DH is such a trooper--hope he gets some great results!
mollycat--I'm keeping my eye on your chart to see if your mirror image pattern continues! ;)
Oh, joey, I forgot to ask you... did you take the progesterone before O, or after? I read that using prog before O can create a hormonal signal that tells your brain not to O--maybe that's why my dr. said I had to have a BFP before he would put me on the prog.--he said the same thing, that taking it before could actually cause fertility issues! Did you ever call and confirm that you should take it before your BFP, cuz I thought I remembered you saying that he said to take it after??? Maybe I'm just confused... :dunno: And thanks for the info on OPK's as HPT's--I was just asking someone the other day if an O strip could detect pg'cy!
Krystie--Can't wait to see our avatars!!! :cheer: I'll look into the travel agent thing later on today for your trip out here! Is it ok for me to give your e-mail address out to an agent if necessary?
I just wanted to give my input on the whole medication theory... My oldest DS has been on meds for years for ADD. The school he went to in first grade actually brought up the notion that he had a problem... had to take him to a therapist who confirmed that she thought he had ADD--not the hyperactive one, but the unattentive one. I've always hated the fact that he has to take meds, especially given what it is, but when we've tried to take him off them, his grades go down. He's always had confidence issues, is very distractable, can't focus and is unable to concentrate without the meds--and his school work proves that without the meds he'll get lost and left behind--which will only make his confidence in himself that much lower! His father had learning issues, and I'm convinced that I had ADD as a child--and still have some of the same tendencies as an adult, that DS has! So while there may be some negatives that come with being on the meds, the positives far outweigh the negatives--at least in my DS's case. To each his own, I guess....
smilanatu--You don't have to be TTC in order to say good morning and keep in touch! You're a member of the family--TTC or not! The whole point of the thread is to support and be supported by the friends that you've made! :grouphug:

Fif- Yeah every pregnancy is differant, I never had Morning sickness with my first 2 pregnancys (my girls), And last month when I was pregnant I did have it (lost the baby at 6 weeks 1 day).
ATM- I think I may know whats going on with my body. either 1) I'm going to get AF right on time 2) The + Ovulation test I had yesterday and Tuesday are when I Oed instead of the first time I had a + which was 9 days ago or so, and somehow my body geared up for O but never released the first time but is now. My cervix was WAY too open for AF expechally since there was no blood yesterday, And its now closed back up..
I think I'm going with number 2 that my body geared up to O last week but never released an egg? I have no clue, I know I'm not prengant

Hey girlies....
Just wanted to wish everyone a great day!!
Jen & Joey.. Doc put me on prog. after my BFP because my last 2 m/c were due to low progesterone. hope that helps. ( I didn't use it to ovulate though..maybe I'm diff cuz I used Clomid to help me ovulate.)
Here is a helpful link that explains when to use it when TTC.. hope it helps.
Progesterone and Fertility
:goodluck2: to all POASIng soon. I am  for :bfp: news from you girlies!!!
I'm doing good.. just have severe morning sickness ( more like 24 HR sickness)
But I'm overall great. I have had no more cramping since week 4 so am really happy. I guess it was the uterus stretching after all. they were so intense it really felt like AF was coming. So beware ladies when you get your BFPs.. I guess cramping is a healthy sign unless there is bleeding involved.
Can't wait to be 12 weeks to see my bub again.
Good luck to you all girlies!!
:grouphug::goodluck2:

Ruth- Yay for morning sickness.. lol. Not, I thought having morning sickness somehow would be fun (but it wasnt) I got it my first time with this last pregnancy before I lost the baby. I got it at 10 DPO.. When you getting your next U/s.??
-
Krystie- My temp today is.......................... 36.2 sorry
jen - just couldn't keep the mirror thing working anymore. Feeling so much better this month without the tamoxifen. no major headaches, no hot flushes (just hope I O without it).
Ruthie - so glad you're feeling sick (in the nicest possible way). Won't be long, you'll be 12 weeks and you'll get to see your little bub again
Joey - hope your starting to feel better. Definately something going around - sent one home yesterday with the flu (mum was going to doctor for herself so talked her into taking her little one with her). I've also got two off with impetigo (brothers) very quiet day today - one three little ones in, 2 x 2yo and 1 x 4yo - shame it's raining.
-
Jen- How are you doing hun? Any plans for the weekend?
Krysielove- I hope things are going well, Hopefully the weekend will be here before you know it. Do you have any plans?
Me, No plans DH is going to work Saturday, Hes got 2 weeks off here working at the office 15 min's from the house so that has been making things better for me and the girls. I guess hes wanting to work Saturday that sucks I was hoping to go to the park if the weather was nice. It rained yesterday and last night its still cloudy stormy looking but the sun keeps coming out once and while  Thank god its not hot. Well, no more AF cramping for me Cervix super closed, yesterdays it was really open OH (And I'm the girl that has a spectulum that likes to look at my cervix once and while DH decided he wanted to see too and I gave him a little info about it hes like I cannot belive it is that open when you O, I said yeah when you give birth its bigger HAHA... So, I'm pretty sure I'm back at 1 DPO... I guess I never released that egg last week, (AH I gotta go through the 2ww again???! ) I only have 6 pregnancy tests left too... UGH OH :wall::wall:
-
Easha - Thanks. FS isn't going to test DH swimmers unless I have another MC. So just fingers crossed that the last two were just rotten luck. Bloodwork is all fine. No offence. It's a very sensible comment. Thanks for being honest.
KL - Glad to hear you like the acupuncture. My appt is Tuesday pm.
I agree with the medication for SOME kids (like your brothers by the sound of it). But being a teacher, it *****'s me to see sooooo many kids on meds when a lot of them just need a change in diet. They come to school with a lunch box full of sugar and mum wonders why they won't sit still. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I think that we need to look more closely at our kids before medicating them and only give it to the ones that need it, not just to make parent's lives easier. Your parents didn't take it lightly, which is great. Perhaps more education for those other parents is what is required as I am sure they are just all doing what they think is right.
Jen - I took the prog at 5DPO. Checked with my Dr first. He said that was fine. Thanks for the info though.
AFM - Back to school today (running late!! cause of BB). Then away for the weekend. So see you all next week. Have a great weekend!! Take care:bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust:

Ruthie--Thanks for the info on the progesterone! :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
mollycat--You could still keep a pattern going if your temp tomorrow is 36.0!! It must be such a relief not having to deal with the side effects from the Tamoxifen... I'm  you'll breeze right thru O all on your own! ;)
Babyfever--Is there any chance you still have hcg left over from the m/c that's causing the OPK's to keep coming up + ? It took 6 weeks for my levels to come back down to normal.
joey--Enjoy your weekend away! Happy trails!
Special :hello: and  for my partners in crime, my fellow stooges...2 of the Fab 3... *kiss* You know who you are!

Hey Krystie, I got the name and number of a travel agent in Florida who swears he will get you the lowest wholesale package in the industry! His name is Fred Avery and his number is 1-800-992-8064, extension 4. Obviously without dates and all the info (like will you need rental car, etc...) he couldn't give me a quote, but he said if you called him, he'd give you the best deal in the industry! I'll look for a couple more, but that was the first place I called.
-
Jen- No I have no HCG left in my body hun. It went back to 0 A week after my miscarriage probably before that but they didn't check me for a week so my loss was 7/25/08 my HCG was 10 that day and then they redid my bloods on 8/1/08 HCG= 0. I was really early with fast dropping levels which the DR said that most woman have slow lowering levels & have the D &C she didn't offer me one since my levels went down so fast the day of bleeding it was 10 she told me I Didn't need one. My last levels before that were 138. She only drew my blood twice before my miscarriage.
