ems - not much longer now until the wedding! You excited??
Hello Everyone!
Got a question for you all - i had a miscarriage 27/7 this year - it was my first pregnancy - my question is could i be ovualting - acutally how do i know if i am? i only went of the pill november last year so never got to really know my cycle before i fell pregnant so im pretty naive to all this!
Hi guys,
Sorry for butting in. I check out this thread a lot to see how you are all going. This thread was a great help to me when TTC after my losses, and I like to see how you all are. I understand how hard this journey can be and I am glad you have each other, as I know it can be hard sometimes to find people who understand what you are going through.
I just saw ems' post and wanted to say that you definitely did what was best for you, and (as hard as it is) try and ignore other peoples ignorance. I also chose not to have a d & c as I did not feel it was the right decision for me, and I also encountered a lot of criticism for it. It was such a hard decision to make, I was in emergency where I had been waiting for 5 hours after the most traumatic day ever after being told at our scan that we were so excited about that our first baby was dead, and was faced with the most awful decision to make. DH was no help at all, and I did not want a d & c. They gave me drugs to make me miscarry and it was a pretty horrible and long experience, as I had to have another lot of drugs, and was close to needing a d & c after even the second lot didn't work. But in the end it all passed and I felt I had done the best thing for me. Even my own mother seemed to be tut-tutting me for not having a d & c, and she has no experience with m/c at all. I also had the feeling that DH thought I had made the wrong decision too, even though he would not help me to choose at all. It really is the last thing you need at a time like this. The most important thing is that you did what was right for YOU. YOU need to feel comfortable with your decision and you do, and that is all that matters!
Sorry again for butting in girls. I hope to see you all with BFPs as soon as possible! :bluedust:
Hi again, Thanks Ems and treelo for the encouragement :) I am hoping and have a good feeling about this.
Just need to ask though BD???? stands for???? well I'm guessing what it means but cant figure out how it got that abbreviation hahaha I bet I'll feel silly when you tell me.
Also can anyone tell me when would I do a HPT (if I don't get AF) before I have always known when I was due on and would wait till after that, but because I don't have that to go by at the moment wonder how long I' need to wait.......two weeks?? more??
Oh well back to work monday gotta do it I guess :(.
Hi to everyone else thinking of you all and sending you all positive vibes for your next attempts......--x--
Sorry Lee:
I can't find your story/experience so am not sure what actually happened, but am gaging by the posts on here that you have had an awful time of it.....just wanted to say Thinking of you!
Ems: I'm on those Blackmores too.....and OMG they are huge hahaha Is all I can say is thankgod they are not suppositries.......Imagine putting that up Yer Bum? Hahaha sorry just A thought I had.....:)
Dawneee - BD stands for Baby Dance !!!!! Dont worry, i couldnt figure it all out either !!!
As for when to test? well i was always a regular person before the m/c, and i ovulated exactly 14 days before AF, and AF turned up exactly 28 days after my loss. So if you were regular than i would test 28 days after your loss. But everyone is different and sometimes it takes a few cycles to get back to normal. So maybe you could just say test every monday?? until af arrives. Does that make sense?? Probably not.....im a bit tired tonight so im probably babbling....
hugs
treelo
Good evening ladies! I say evening but it's gettin on past 11pm in my part of the world, so I guess it's closer to morning! Just felt like dropping in to say hello. Hope everyones had a good day. I've actually had a pretty good one today. Not sure why, did nothing out of the ordinary, but for once was feeling pretty good and pos about the world...makes for a lovely change!
Ems- just wanted to say, I'm glad things have gone your way (as much as they can anyway), and though it's hard, please try to stay positive and strong to yourself and your convictions. Some people can be so bloody judgemental about stuff that is absolutely none of their business.
I personally have MC'd naturally twice, and had a D&C the 3rd time, and in my humble opinion, you certainly chose the more natural, gentle (though still painful) and more dignified way to go. I'm glad you were giveb the choice and you had enough conviction to stand up for yourself. Anyway I'm tired and rambling.
Hope you're all OK, and BFPs come thick and fast this month!
Hello everyone. I've been away in Sydney for a couple of days. And I'm wondering how my cycle buddy and fellow PIACaholic, Sharon, is going? I think I'll be out by the end of today or tomorrow. Temperature is zigzagging down and BFN yesterday and this morning. As much as I stare at those HPTs I'm not even able to imagine up a second faint line, lol.
Beaksie, glad you had a good day. Feels good to go to bed at the end of one of those. Welcome to the thread and I'm so sorry for your losses. Hope your TTCAML journey is a short one.
Nellsbells, sorry for the loss of your little one. I've been told before in here after my D&C when I was wondering about blood tests for hCG levels that hCG levels should be negligible after a D&C. Try doing a HPT and if there's no line then that's a reference point. Be gentle to yourself. Look forward to getting to know you.
Lee, hope that surge of vitality continues and that pot of gold is yours soon soon soon. I'm so sorry for your loss and the circumstances. I wish that there was something more I could do or say that was wise and offered some comfort to you. :( Instead I find that I'm inspired by what you've written. So thank you. :hugs:
Charlotte, hope that new chapter you're beginning has a BFP as its happy ending. How are you today? :D
Ems, how are you? Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Zionsmum, woohoo today's the graduation, isn't it! Enjoy your day!
Welcome Starrysky, I love your BB name, reminds me of the Van Gogh picture that I like to have up in my classroom. How are you going?
Oh Pash, that's great about your levels dropping. I hope it's all fair weather from here on for you.
Sweetpetite, how are you today? Glad your cycle seems to be starting to rebalance itself. Won't be long and you can enjoy getting jiggy with it, lol!
Dawneee, hope you've been capitalising on those O symptoms! Good luck!
Treelo, that's great about LC. Their service is soo good. Now with all those HPTs at your fingertips, hope you only have to use one! Haha! *Grins*
Hugs, LizJessie. I know it's a long wait. I waited 8 weeks and 3 days and was starting to think it would never happen too. But tracking the cycle and temps from when I ovulated, I was able to guess when AF would be on the way. Hope your wait is soon over.
hj1981, you could be ovulating. You will know from the egg white CM and your temperatures and from tracking with OPKs. Well, that's how I was able to work mine out. Had three patches of eggwhite CM but the OPK and temping picked up O day. Good luck!
You're not butting in, Bun. You're always welcome (there is the bellyrub tax of course for PAML visitors! hahaha) Thanks for the babydust!
Penny, I'd ring the Australian Air Express mob. They should run them out to you again. How did the ob's visit go?
Kiwigirl, hope those energy levels keep rising. Glad the bleeding has stopped. And good on your DH for writing the note to your client. Your DH sounds like a honey!
Thanks for the babydust, Megsmum (yay, more bellyrub tax!) Keep us posted on how you're going!
Satya, hope things are getting better for you.
Deeply sorry if I've missed anyone! Will catch you on the next roundup, which hopefully won't be as long! You'll all be relieved about that! :cryinglaugh:
Treelo: Thanks for that.....Nope I would never have guessed that abbreviation.
No you weren;t babbling hahaha it made sense (on the third read) HAHAHA!
Kbowman: I think I made the most of the Ovulation.....just wait and see now! My DS 7YRS old......asked me last night when I could do the thing that you know.... that gets a Baby back in my belly? Can I put one back there now and he'd like me to do it now please. Hahaha I did laugh it was so innocent....
I have a friend that has had 11 loss's various stages (Two boys 9,7).....so is an expert on everything....you know things like oh that happened to me etc etc....it's as if I cannot have one view or feeling on the subject (Hope that doesn't sound mean it's not meant to be) it's just that she would discuss all the horror stories even before I M/C to the stage that I felt really nervous .....and believe me in my Job I see alot of things and have a really good coping mechanism so not sure why she affects me? and it didn't help she was here when I actually miscarried "Groan"..... which was a fluke! But I find myself trying to distance myself from her at times just for a break.
I mentioned to her I thought I was ovulating (Of course never said we were TTC) and as usual she gave me the run down on when I would get AF and blah blah! never occurred to her I might actually concieve??? don't think she even asked??? Anyhow she just rang saying they were coming over tonight and I've made an excuse.... just need a break! They're all supposedly on Deaths door with the Flu anyhow????? Deeerrrr No Thanks!
Awww! That is sooo cute of your DS, Dawneee! You'll just have to see what you can do! :p BTW, your friend does sound like a know-it-all PITA - like you'd need to catch the flu from her! Not! :cryinglaugh:
Wish I could wake up tomorrow to a temperature rise and a BFP! Bet AF arrives tonight though, haha. Although given that DP is very stressed at the moment and is being totally non-communicative, then a BFP would be the cherry on top. lol
CD1 today... rang Dr H and asked him what he thought we should do next cycle. Another cycle on 100mg Clomid or just go to injectables... He thought a combined cycle. So we are going on 50mg Clomid CD 2-6, then we go in to see him on day 7 for a scan and to get the FSH to have from day 7 to when ever the follicles get big enough, most likely day 12. This reduces the risk of getting too many follicles by being on the FSH for too long. The clomid will give us a few follicles and the FSH will make them all grow at the same rate, rather than a dominant follicle taking over.
We are totally gutted, we really thought this would be the one. We are really getting worried that the last pregnancy was just a fluke and that maybe we wont get a pregnancy ever again. Imagine if we have this much trouble getting pregnant and we have another miscarriage. I think that will be enough to make us give up and look at embryo adoption seen as how regular adoption is not allowed for gay couples in our country. Hell we cant even get married in our own country. It just seems so unfair. In every way.
Ohhh! Big squishy hugs for both of you, Megan and Kim. Please don't give up hope! Your time will come. Thinking of you :hugs: :hugs:
Kbowman: Seriously she is but I wear it because she has been through so much just need a break and vent sometiines haha! what's a temp rise mean?
Megan and Kim: Hang in there,I remember when my sister was TTC with her Partner....they felt the same regarding laws towards Gay couples. But the Good news is My Sister has A son (teenager now) and her ex girlfriend of 17yrs had a girl (also a teenager) a year later.
And Even though they are no longer together my sister and her Now Partner of 9 Years have a gorgeous little boy aged 2. So what I am saying is they over came it all and never gave up TTC. " Sorry everyone bit of a thread Hi jack"......And I'm sure you guys will complete your little Family soon!
Well, a temperature drop tomorrow for me would be the second in a row and at this time of my cycle that would mean AF is definitely on her way. But a temperature rise will give me hope that I'm pregnant. Sorry if I confused you, Dawneee! :p
Oh no not at all.....I don't understand the Temp thing yet so Up is good yeah...like how high? and for how long? so what was your temp each time and what did it drop to? And when would you notice a rise in Temp....If you are Pg?
Hey guys,
Sorry i have not been in for a while. Welcome to all the lovely new ladies... this place is so awesome from the support everyone gives... i am so sorry you have to be in this thread, but there are some pretty fab people in here sharing your feelings and experiences. Hugs to all of you.
Am sad today - today is the first anniversary of my beautiful Dad's passing. He left this world exactly a year ago today. Dad had a rare form of cancer which took him after only nine months. He fought such a brave battle and i will never forget his endurance, wonderful nature and kind and loving soul. I have to believe he is in a better place, happy and free, otherwise i will go nuts.
Sorry girls, just a bit sad tonight. :(
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Well the concensus is that the spotting I had last week was not heavy enough to be AF, so I'm still waiting. I did a HPT yesterday and it came back as a +ve, I thought it might have been a dodgey one, it just did not look right when it was absorbing the pee. Anyway I have done 2 others today, different brands, both BFN.
So still waiting for AF.
Littlescottishboy, if your father could read what you've just written, he'd have a tear in his eye, I'm sure. May we all be loved as much as your Dad sometime in our lives. Big hugs :hugs:
Dawnee, if you click on my ticker, you'll see my most recent chart as well as my charts from when I was pg and the cycles after my D&C. Generally, for me, if my temperature starts heading towards the coverline by 10-11DPO, I know I can expect AF within the next 12 hours. Apart from any other give away symptoms, the temperature is a big clue. If my temperature stays steady above say 36.8 degrees beyond 12DPO, then I'd be getting very excited. :D At the moment I'm feeling bloated and my back is achy so I think I'll be starting a new cycle tomorrow. Hope that helps!
Charlotte, good luck if you're testing tomorrow. Hope you get a more conclusive BFP. Fingers are crossed for you!
Hope everyone can enjoy a sleep in tomorrow. I hope I get to sleep tonight. The little dog next door will not stop barking, nor will the dog across the road. :wall:
Hey Kerry, just dropping in to say that I hope that witch AF stays away and I nice big BFP is very close, saying a prayer for you and DP right now.
Two Mums - I am sorry to hear AF arrived for DP, I hope your little munchkin is not too far away.
Pashie - how are you sweetie? Hope you are going okay and the new job is treating you well.
Big hello to Treelo, LizJessie, Sharon and everyone else.
SG

Hi Shoegal :D Thanks for the helloo :P
HI all, thanks for the welcome, as I'm new to all this, i find it hard to keep track of who's who's, but I'm sure that will come!
Dawnee-- Months ago when I was trying to figure my cycle out, I bought a book (gotta love ebay!) called "Taking charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, I couldn't put it down I was so captivated to know more about my body, (especially when I thought I knew heaps being a nurse), anyway it answered so many of my questions, I highly recommend it. Though I'm sure there would be internet site links from here which would tell you, not sure. Anyway hope it's of some help.
Good luck to us all!!!
Hello everyone. :D
kbowman- What a wonderful post. I don't think you left anyone out. You are very good. :) Has AF turned up yet? I hope that you manage to get a BFP instead of a visit from AF. :crossfingers: I am having a good weekend, thank you. I hope yours was good also and you managed to get a good nights sleep.
nellsbells- i find it hard to keep track also as I don't get the chance to check everyday, so I fall a bit behind too.
Dawneee- I agree completely with you- if they were suppositries, I would be crying! It has made me laugh when i take them now, so thank you for that thought :cryinglaugh: Your friend, after being wthrough what she's been through, should be a little more understanding in the fact that every situaion is different for every person. Your DS is way too cute!
Bun- thanks for dropping in. I'm glad to know that someone else waited too. I'm sorry you had to go through it though and your DH wasn't much help. My DF was very concerned (mostly because everyone told him that it was wrong to wait!) but I stayed positive and just kept telling him that it would be fine. And it is. Thanks again.
litlescottishboy- I'm sorry this weekend has been hard for you. I'm positive that he is in a better place, so there is no need to go nuts. Just hang on to your beautiful memories of him, so you can pass them on to your children.
Megan & Kim- It is very wrong and completely backward that you are not allowed to marry in Aus. And even more so that you cannot adopt. You don't need a license to have children and some people shouldn't have them. Why can't loving parents be allowed?! Anyway, enough of my rant. You won't need to adopt anyway, just hang in there, it'l happen for you. :)
Lizjessie- Has AF turned up yet? I hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
Charlotte77- I hope you don't have to wait too much longer for AF either.
Beaksie- Thanks for your support. I am staying positive. I can't wait to TTC again.
As for me, I'm going to call my Ob tomorrow to let him know my good news. Last Monday, when I spoke to him, I'd only had spotting. I'm looking forward to going back to Sydney on Tuesday and seeing my DF after 2 weeks.
Hope everyone is well.
Good evening everyone, haven't been around for a few days as life was pretty hectic last week as my friends and I helped our other good friend prepare for her scrapbooking retreat that her shop was running for 46 women, I left my house at 9am and didn't get home until 6.30pm Sunday, had a fantastic time, didn't go to bed until 4.30am both nights and was up at 7.30am in time for breaky.
I made sure I packed a heap of HPT's but also made sure I tested on Friday morning when I got up, and I ended up having a :bfp: staring me in the face, I did 4 more over this weekend (one each morning and then 1 on Fri and Sat afternoon) this mornings line was quite a bit darker.
I did spend the weekend quite excited and only told my 'bunk buddy' and best friend about my +ve's but it was so hard to keep it a secret. I am very nervous, scared, anxious, happy all at once and had an emotionally draining and teary weekend as well (those damn hormones) cried at lots of very silly things, and my BF kept singing in my ear (to no particular tune) "wait till they find out why!"
Well I have blabbed on for long enough, sorry this is a selfish post, will come back tomorrow and try and do personals.
Oh, Kerry, I hope your temp goes up tomorrow, I have everything crossed for you.
:bedtime:
Congrats Sharon!
I'm very happy for you :D
Sharon - Congratulations on your BFP!!!! I'm very very happy for you *hugs*
OHHHH!!!! YAY Sharon!!!! I'm so pleased for you!!!!! :happyforyou: That's just brilliant news!! Woohoo!! How are you feeling? What symptoms do you have? Apart from the teariness, *hugs* for you!! Gosh and what a lovely chart!! Congratulations to you and Paul on your BFP! I've been looking forward to your post, just had a feeling something good was on its way.
No AF here yet, but no symptoms either, so I'm fully expecting AF to arrive tonight/tomorrow. I've bought some more OPKs, pre-seed and yes, more HPTs, hehe, for the next cycle.
Hello Belinda! How are you, sweetie? I've been thinking of you, especially when I was in Wagga week before last.
Ems, thanks for your compliment!! I'm hoping to get that good night's sleep tonight! Bet you're looking forward to Tuesday!! :p
Hello there Shoegal, I do love your visits and that sprinkle of babydust you bring with you!! Hope all is well with you! :D
Waves to everyone - hope you all had a great weekend!
Kerry - Hello! I hope you are pleasantly surprised with a nice BFP in the next few days *hugs* I am just in a waiting phase for things to return to normal :)
DH & I are flying to W.A. in the morning for a holiday and I haven't even packed yet - I'm trying to get all my work up to date (but keep getting distracted by BB haha).
We are going to Wagga around Fri Aug 31 for 2/3 days - so we might be able to catch up again?
Anyway, I'm keep popping in here whilst I'm away to check for BFP updates :)
Cheers
Belinda
Thanks everyone, I know I was supposed to be going to bed, but my head is still spinning from the amazing weekend I just had with a bunch of women whom I had only ever chatted to on a scrapbooking forum (except for my 4 best friends who also came along).
Kerry, I don't have too many symptoms at the moment, boobies aren't too sore (pain comes and goes) hardly any cramping, and have kind of been off my food and feeling nauseas at times throughout the day, I really didn't think that I would be pg this cycle because of the lack of symptoms, so there is hope for you yet.
have just uploaded a pic of my bfp in the members gallery if anyone wanted to have a peek.
Sharon, that's wonderful!!! Congrats!!!
Just a quick post from me this morning before I fly off to get ready for work (Monday morning playground duty is the pits!). Didn't get to see DP last night as had too much to do, as did he :( Maybe next weekend. Temperature drop again this morning but tested anyway: BFN. At least my luteal phase is a bit better this cycle than last... All set for this cycle which I predict will start today!
Sharon, I checked out your pic - lovely-clear-no-mistaking-it BFP!! Woohoo
Belinda, yes, that would be great! Would be great to catch up then :D
Yeah Sharon - wonderful news. Hope the months ahead are kind to you.
A big hi to kbowman & all the other girls in this thread - best of luck to you all for the coming months!
yay Sharon!!! :happyforyou:
Big congratulations from me :D That is wonderful news.
A big hello to everyone else here - hope you are all well and also hope to see heaps more BFPs in here soon! :)
Sharon: Congratulations :confetti:
Congratulations Sharon! Wonderful news!
Sharon - Congratulations!!!That is wonderful, I was thinking about you late last week.... - Hope this one is nice and sticky for you!!!
xo
Congratulations Sharon:clap:. What a wonderful way to find out... while with great friends!:happyforyou:
Here's to hoping there is more good news out there and SOON.
Time for a new thread ladies.... here you go :).
