I'm gonna be a bit quiet this week - we have used our monthly download usage (!!!) for this month, and then we head off for a week over the Easter break.
I'll try and pop in, but it's just toooo slllloooowwwww.

Hi girls, haven't posted in a while between work and then last night DH and I celebrated a very belated Valentines day last night (actual Valentines day was right after FIL's passing). Then this morning I went back to the FS, who remeasured my four ickle follicles and said that one of them is clearly in the lead with its development, but my uterine lining is "a little thin". Can't say I'm surprised, because I bled for like 7 or 8 days but had to start the clomid on CD 5. I usually bleed profusely when I AF, but I have long cycles (32-35) days to make up for it. Then the office called and said they have my lab work and FS wants to see me in the office tomorrow. I'm scared it's bad news. Wish me luck.

Your hormones are probably being affected by the stress of your Dad's illness. If there's any way you can relax, like meditation or progressive relaxation or whatever works for you, definitely do it.
plc1805: sending cyberhug. IKWYM about things not happening on time the way you planned. I was going to have each of my babies 2 years apart. It's annoying to hear other people so blythely plan their families and how they WILL do this and WON'T do that, when you've had such a hard time of it.
Personally, I think things happen for a reason and in their own time. But it's not always easy to stick to that philosophy...

Natty: in a hysteroscopy, they send a probe with a tiny camera in it up through the cervix to look a the inside of your uterus--you can see it on the screen and it's like watching educational TV LOL!
Also, you can have CM for a week or more before o. You might be testing too early, especially if your body is still adjusting from MC.
Personally, I'm a HUGE supporter of the temp cross check.

My SIL is coming to visit tomorrow. I havent seen her pregnant yet, and im really scared how im going to react. Shes now 20 weeks, which means i would have been 22. Last time i saw her was 2 days after my D&C when shw thought that was the best time to announce to me infront of the whole family that she was pregnant, and expected me to be happy for her. Needless to say, i burst into tears! Any suggestions as to how i can see her tomorrow and get through it without becoming hysterical? i just cant think about her without thinking about my loss...

Hi everyone. Quick update - called Ob this morning and he said that he wants me to have a scan. He said that it was probably not a concern but that a scan is needed. So have booked one in for 3:30 this afternoon. Thankfully DH is home from work today so he can come with me. I am terrified and nervous but hoping for the best. Not sure what they can see at 6 weeks?

tina - I know how u feel - a mother from mother's group (not the one prev mentioned) but the 1st one to have the 2nd round of bubs was a couple of weeks ahead of me before I had my 2nd m/c. Everytime I saw her and how big she was getting, I couldn't help but think she was living my dream and I was a failure. Also, she knew she was having a boy and the pathology found I had m/c a boy (even tho, like u, I had a blighted ovum and it was so early, they could still find out that info). I just put on a brave face and didn't give her the satisfaction of knowing I was affected in anyway especially cos she kept asking, in a pity-like manner, how I was going. I just said "Yeah fine" and smiled. I didn't want her pity when she was holding the goods and I wasn't. I didn't want to give the impression of "poor her, she is having problems" esp as this was my 2nd m/c - it was no one's business but mine and DHs. Get's me a little angry to think she could do it and I couldn't but I think she is the sort of person that makes me react like that. Anyone else - I still have been brave with but not as defiant, if you know what I mean. Tina - you'll find out what works for you but I just couldn't stand people pussy-footing around me and that's why I have chosen to show strength even when I want to scream out loud for having gone thru this injustice. GL hun - I really mean it.
katie - am thinking of you and sending you express positive vibes for 3.30 (even tho we are both in melb but I want to make sure u get them :lol:) - u will be fine hun and ur a strong cookie.

I think I am officially in the 2WW. I had real trouble pinpointing O this month as I had constant pains for a week. I had a low hormonal drop on Saturday, then Sunday my Cervix was still open and soft but today it is closed and hard. So I assume I O'd either Saturday night or yesterday, assuming cervix probably takes 24 hours to close again? I am going with 1dpo anyway?!? Our cut-off to TTC a girl was Friday morning, so we are probably in with a good chance of conceiving this month still :crossfingers: This has to be my month, I'd love a little Sagi girl (or boy if that's the way nature intends it)!!

Katiegirl - good luck with scan. 6 weeks is apparently the point where they should be able to see something, but it will probably depend when you O'd.
Tina - I wish I had some words of wisdom here. It's really hard in these situations. Maybe you can just go into it hoping that her :bluedust: will rub off on you! ;)

plc - I know what you mean about the 'pity the poor girl who had a m/c'. I'm the same, I try to make sure I have a smile on my face and pretend it's the furthest thing from my mind (even tho it's the only thing on my mind most of the time).
Kategirl - hope all went well. I went for an ultrasound at 6 weeks last pg and we saw the little 'flicker'. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Sending positive vibes anyway - your appointment is probably over by now but :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
Is it just me but has anyone noticed the baby boom??? I have never seen so many pg people or people with newborns lately. I went shopping today to cheer myself up and saw so many pg or recently pg people I got depressed and came home.:( I know these people may have gone though a heap of crap to have their bit of happiness too but it feels like I have some cosmic sign above my forehead saying 'not pregnant - rub it in'.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your positive vibes....they paid off! We saw the heartbeat and it was such a relief. I feel so much calmer knowing that our baby is okay. He said that it looked like a healthy pregnancy, so all good.

TinaK - Your SIL sounds very insensitive. I hope seeing her isn't too hard on you. My SIL is pg too and would have been 2 weeks behind me, but I see her regularly and she is really really lovely and thoughtfull about the situation. I hate that I don't always feel 100% happy for her (because obviously I am happy for them), but I cannot help feel jelous and envious. I get really sad about it at times when she is talking about scans and stuff, but like every other *****ty feeling you get after a mc I get through it and for the most part and happy and excited for my bro and SIL.

I've had 3 friends give birth in the last 10 days so there are babies galore in my life . . . hard not to think of your own when you are surrounded by newborns. Tomorrow will be a brighter day :D

Today I have been cramping a bit and then tonight when I went to the loo I saw some bright red bleeding. I went to the toilet an hour later and now I have a light pinkish stain, like it is going. OK so I know about implantation bleeding and as I O at CD16 this could be it, but this morning my temp dropped 0.1 as well, although I didn't get much sleep. Please someone reassure me cause I'm in a panic and couldn't handle AF after two :bfp: albeit faint![/COLOR][/COLOR]
Berecca - is AF due today? Apparently it is fairly common to have a slight bleed during pregnancy on the day AF is due. Turning to pink is a really good sign, that's kinda more like blood tinged CM. Keep positive, I'm sure its ok. Sending you lots of :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: Keep us updated, will be thinking of you.
Ok... Quick catch up.... I am now on Holidays for 10 Days. We only take them once a year and I am soooo looking forward to them. Spending quiet time with DH and hopefully sort out where both our heads have been since the beginning of IVF last year.
At the same time I will be waiting out my 2ww up north on a the beach.
So if you dont hear from me for while..... just picture me with the sand between my toes chillin out.

Berecca- try not to panic. (easier said than done) Probably just a bit of a bleed because AF would have been here. Remember that you are doing everything humanly possible to make this little bub as healthy as can be. Have lots of sticky vibes and baby dust, I'll be thinking of you with my fingers crossed.
AJC- I just want to send you huge hugs. xx Someimes, the world seems to be pregnant, doesnt it! I am so sorry that your trip to the spa was not as mind- clensing as you had hoped. Grit your teeth and you'll get through this tough spot, we're here to help you along too. ** Hugs. **
Tina- So sorry about your SIL. Cant believe that she would be so insensitive. IKWYM about being reminded of sad times. This weekend, I put on a bath robe (of all things!) and immediately remembered that the last time I wore it was when I was in hospital following the m/c. Now I know that your SIL will be a bit more of a reminder than a bath robe, and you cant really take her off and put her back in the cupboard, so I hope that she is a bit more understanding. Maybe you could have a word with your Bro and ask him mention that this visit will be tough for you?

Berecca - if you are concerned about the bleed, give your doctor a call. With my last preg I always ummed and aaghed about calling my dr, but this time around for my own piece of mind I plan to have him on speed dial (it also doesn't hurt that this new ob is very understanding). I am sure the bleed is implantation, and generally I believe it is only a concern if it turns bright red, but it never hurts to ask a dr. I will send you some sticky vibes as I know how stressful and sign of anything out of the ordinary is! Stay strong. :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
Tina - I am so sorry that you are going to have to face your SIL. I think you need to be kind to yourself, and if at any time you find it too much then just get up and walk away (to the kitchen or something). You need to be a little selfish and put yourself first - actually at this stage in your life it is not selfish at all. So do whatever you have to do to get through it. If your SIL does not understand, than that shows she lacks empathy. Take care and I hope it is not too difficult for you. Also let your DH know that you will find it tough, that way he will be prepared for what you do.:hug:

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind if I join in... After what feels like an eternity DH & I are finally TTC again and today is day 1 of my cycle. I'm just excited to be starting TTC again and can't wait for the fun part.

Hi ladies. As it stands now, one of my four follicles is ready to pop (so I took the ovudrel shot this evening), two are running a more distant second and the fourth is kaput. So we have to BD tonight and then again either tomorrow nite or the next, then start progesterone tablets on Saturday. And my lining is no longer too thin--it caught up overnight! Wish me luck...
tina_k: are you comfortable talking with your sister and be frank about how you feel and how you want her to act towards you?

i Guys, quick update, I will post some personals tonight.
After the initial couple of wipes with bright red spotting it has calmed down and now I have a slightly brown tinged cm (sorry for TMI). Am feeling more positive and think now it was implantation, AF was due yesterday. I also feel pg today, funny. Also did another HPT and came up BFP again, and quicker and darker than yesterday, although still faintish but better!

I should get my car back on Thursday, it will be great, the one i've been driving is so slow and has almost no power, very hard getting up hills, and i live in a hilly suburb, oh well, not long now.
I've got an appointment with my gyno next thursday, be interesting to see what he comes up with - he didn't even know i was pg, i just didn't get that far to go and see him. Not sure how much further we want to push this (we've always said we won't go IVF, and that hasn't changed,) I'm not ready to give up yet.
Tina - i have a similar problem, i found out a few weeks ago that my SIL is due around the time I would have been, the upside is we don't see each other very often (my brother and his family drive me crazy), but i know it's going to be hard when we do, i don't know if they knew about my pg, but another SIL told me their's wasn't planned, sometimes it makes you wonder! if she was due at any other time it wouldn't be as big a deal

Right, guys, I really need some help here! I am on CD11 now and it will soon be time to BD. The last 2ww was totally mad. I was just nuts/ hyper/ manic/ mental for 14 days. Then I came down to earth with a big THUD and a BFN. Any suggestions for staying calm? Please? I dont think I can cope with that again.

Canary: I have a relaxation CD I swear by. Unfortunately, it came in a kit with a bunch of other things, so you can't buy it standalone. But I know there's other tapes and cd's that guide you through a progressive relaxation.

well, i saw my SIL last night, for the first time since that terrible day 3 months ago when she announced her pregnancy 2 days after my D&C.
i spent all afternoon crying, trying to get all the tears out of the way so i didnt cry when i saw her (silly, i know, but you gotta do what you gotta do!)
well, i saw her and she is looking very pg, and all i could do was stare at her belly and think that should have been me...i know thats not healthy but i cant get those thoughts out of my mind, i feel like she has taken what should have been mine...

Oh Tina, it's an awful feeling when you feel like everyone else is getting what they want and your not. :hugs: I wish I had some real words of wisdom, but all I can do is tell you the way I feel. The way I view my mc is that it just wasn't my time yet, for some reason the universe decided that it wasn't meant to be, but I'm certain my time will come when everything falls into place the way it should. Maybe try to view it not that your SIL has taken what should have been yours, but it was just her time. She deserves her time too doesn't she? It might be that next time she TTC she ends up in the place we are right now, and we really wouldn't wish that on anyone. I am sure that your time will come very soon. All you can do in the meantime is try look after yourself and prepare your body as best you can so that you can have a happy and healthy pg. And remember, try to suck in those :bluedust: vibes whilst you are around her!!
Canary - I always think a project is good way to take your focus off TTC, obsess over something else for a while! ;) Maybe redecorating a room, painting a feature wall, creating a new garden bed?? Anything that you have been wanting to do for a while but just never gotten around to?
Tina - it must have been so hard to see your SIL - the fact that she was so insensitive during your time of grief and coupled with her being so close in weeks to your pregancy makes it doubly tough. It is only natural to feel upset when you see her stomach, but just know that your time with come. I think losing a baby, really allows us the grace of knowing how much we want to be mothers and how thankful we will be when it does finally happen. Your time will definitely come.
Canary - I decided that during the TWW I would not allow myself to think about it too much. I also decided that I would not even consider testing until after my period was late. I basically convinced myself that AF was on its way, so then when it was late I was given a nice surprise. I think I convinced myself of this to avoid the disappointment. It worked for me...and to be honest the TWW went fairly quickly. If you are not as much of a dooms day as me, then a project is a great idea.
Well DH mentioned that our friends who are due 2 weeks after Nathaniel would have been, want to catch up next weekend. I have only seen her once at DH's birthday and besides saying hello and a hug I avoided her. It is not that I am resentful, I am in fact very happy for them, but it has just been to hard for me. So they will be in Melbourne, and I told DH (he was lovely and said he wanted to talk it over with me - as he knows how tough I find seeing her) that we can catch up with them for lunch or something. They don't seem to want to stay with us so that is good - I think I would find that too difficult. I really don't want to put any extra pressure on myself at the moment. Tina - I will use your bravery as my inspiration.
Berecca - how are things with you? Glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped. It is so awful when that happens, because we are already worried to begin with. Take care.

Apart from my SIL issues (thanks to all those with kind words re that!) i have another issue...
according to all indicators, its "o" time soon, and the issue is that im really not in the mood for BD. i desperately want to concieve this month so i can have a december baby (my bday is in Dec), however im feeling too down in the dumps to get into trying with DH.
Any suggestions of how to cheer myself up and "get into the mood"?!?!
Ohhh DH would kill me if he saw me on the computer on our holidays....lucky he s at the doctors and not here ;)

I m in the second week of the 2ww. Probably about the 5th 2ww i ve done.
My theory is this.
We do everything we can, everything from Temps through to herbs, acupunture.... whatever.... the list goes on. From there, its not in our hands. I know it sound stupid...... but what will be will be! If there is a little soul out there wanting to make the journey to this world, they will come. (i know that steps partially into my personal belief system... but your beliefs dictate how you act and think and feel in this world)
So for me, I look at my little angels..... They sat up there and said.... lets go to her...... they came down, looked around..... this world scared them and they left. Now they are up above waiting on me to go up to see them.
So for me, I joke in the 2ww Thread, saying...."dont mind me i'm just sitting over here on my seat in the corner" but pretty much that is what I m doing. I ve done everything I can. I even managed to not fight with DH allll they way through "o" so now I sit back and just wait until Monday......BUT Monday is not in my mind..... if that makes sense. Every normal day to day thing is on my mind.... work, DH, dinner, work, washing.... NORMAL exciting stuff. Its very delibrate. If on Monday I POAS and its Neg... then fine..... I just go around again. If I POAS and its Pos..... then I fall over in complete disbelief.... jump on here and tell everyone.
I will say it again.... I m sure you must all be getting sick of it.....

AngelBabies -that is a lovely way to look at how our babies come to us and why sometimes they go away. I am of a similar belief, and believe that one day I will have the very great pleasure of holding Nathaniel. In fact I expect him to be waiting for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Tina - well I guess it is difficult to make yourself be in the mood. Maybe you just need to decide how much you want to be trying this month, and then go for it. It doesn't have to be all romance and dimmed lights....in fact I am a great believer that when knowingly TTC it is best to keep it casual and fun. Also, I think that men have such issues about 'being made to perform' (even though normally they would have no objections) that you need to ensure that your DH doesn't think you are forcing yourself to do BD. Maybe just focus on what a great relationship you have with your DH and go from there. He sounds like he has been supportive, so maybe think of this as a way of staying close to him, rather than looking at it as a means to conceive. Does that make sense?
Having said that....since O for me, I totally went off BD and have been ever since! Poor DH it looks like it will be a long 9 months for him :D
