kbowman - So sorry AF arrived for you! I have a feeling that things will be good for the next cycle :D
zionsmum - Glad to hear you had a great time in Chicago!
Penny - Hiya! I feel like I'm missed an opportunity - I've adjusted my chart, but it said that I'm only 4DPO - do you think that if I BD I MIGHT be able to catch the egg?? I really hope so :(
-
Oh Belinda, thanks, sweetie! I see your name in the arcade high scores (now how did you get that mansion in 12 years?? lol) and wonder how you're doing. How are you? Hope all is well. I was in Wagga Saturday before last and I always keep my eyes peeled for you, JIC!
LizJessie, I hope so too. For all of us! As for whether it's too late at 4DPO to catch the egg, I'm afraid it most likely is. The egg only lasts for 12-24 hours. Which was why I was so sure I'd missed O, because I'd missed BD before the rise. But looking at your chart, it's hard to say when you O'd. If you O'd on CD23, which is where you've got the dotted line, then that BD might do the trick.
I'll try to keep AF occupied for you all anyway. :)
-
Kerry - I was in "the zone" to complete mansion within 12yrs lol
I am off to Wagga for the long weekend, but have to work during the day on the Saturday. If you are planning on being in town around that time let me know and we will catch up for a movie & a meal. Although you might be otherwise occupied around that time of the month ;)
We have just started attending Fertility First at Hurstville, so we have started with all the usual investigative tests again, so I don't really expect anything from this month, but we are moving in the right direction :)
Plus I'm exploring the possibility of a career change which I'm excited about.
Anyway - why aren't you sleeping at this hour on a school night??? Too busy playing in the arcade? lol
-
Kerry sorry that AF arrived for you. I just saw that we both had m/c in April, it should be our turn to get pg again soon, right?! :)
satya I think you should still go ahead and get the lap and find out everything you need to know. Plus, who knows what the future holds? Would you consider having a child on your own or is that not an option for you?
zionsmom Glad you had a great time in Chicago.. we'll be going to NYC and San Fran as part of our trip in Nov/Dec... can't wait :) My main memory of Chicago was bitterly cold winds and grey overcast skies.. would like to go there in summer next time!! I totally hear you about the EDD thing, mine would have been next month too. I'm trying hard not to choose to let myself get down about it and focus on TTC and our trip as positives. It's a mental battle and part of me feels like I should indulge and let myself get down and depressed about it and part of me doesn't want to go back to that place I was in after the m/c, I want to feel I've dealt with it, I've moved on and looking forward positively.
Thankfully no-one is asking me if we're trying/PG again. They know I had it pretty rough, plus it was only 6 weeks ago or so I had the second D&C. I can't believe people are asking you though, it really hasn't been that long, plus even if you did get PG straight away, you would only really be around the 3 month mark anyways. *hugs*
Hi everyone else... have a great week.
-
Kbowman and Satya - thanks for your technical advice with inserting my chart. I will give it a go right now.
LizJessie - I had a look at your chart and I agree with Kbowman, if you O'd around where the dotted line is, there is a very good chance that you have caught the egg. Fingers crossed for this cycle!!!!
Kbowman - you are not at all invisible. I always look forward to your posts!
Kiwigirl - your planned trip sounds fabulous...
Missbelinda and everyone I have missed, have a good start to the week!
-
Hi EVERYBODY! (sorry, I know its a bit lazy, but Im a shocker at personals!)
Hope you're all doing great. Im at the boring part of my cycle, cd 4. Big wait till O. Ive just started posting in a weight loss thread so hopefully that will take my mind of ttc a bit, and stop me obsessing. Probably not though.
I have no wonderful or interesting news, except im going to Exmouth for a long weekend this week. Im looking forward to it as I havent been out of P.Hedland for 6months. Nothing unusual given our geography. Exmouth is on Ningaloo reef which is absolutely beautiful, though with DD I wont be able to snorkle like I usually would. Hoping to see some whales though. Will be nice change of scenery anyhow.
To all you girls, have a wonderful week and big fingers crossed for BFPs this month! Surely lady luck is due to smile???

Hiya, everyone.
I spent the weekend with my best friend and her new baby, who was born a month ago. He’s gorgeous, well worth the 6 hour drive to see! I haven’t been around an infant full time for a number of years. It was good. I’m hoping the baby-exposure might help me ripen a good egg or two for this cycle. Normally, I wouldn’t ovulate for another 10 days (on CD25), but I’ve been taking Vitex for eight weeks, so I’m on the lookout for changes to the pattern. Temp this morning was very low, so who knows.
Hope everyone is well.

Morning everyone...Im a bit upset and angry today....DH said that if it doesnt work this time then we should give up trying!!!????? He thinks that if we dont get pregnant, then it must be something wrong with him because of the chicken pox. I tried to explain that it's only been 3 months since the misscarriage and it took 6 months after the first m/c to get pregnant with cooper. I tried to explain how by having a fever when he had chicken pox, that it would have killed off most of the sperm that he had, and that every 90 days he gets a new batch of sperm. But he wont listen, he has just decided that there is something wrong with him and we should give up!!
aaagggghhhh Men drive me nuts sometimes !!!!!!!!!!!:wall::angry:
-
Thanks everyone for your kind words, I am holding out hope for this month but I am not obsessing because of being busy with other things. Please can we just all get BFP's PLEASE is that too much too ask!
-
Zionsmum - YES! BFPs for all of us!!!!!!
Treelo - I can understand that you are p***ed off. Hope that you had a chance to talk about it with DH to sort things out....
Beaksie - that long weekend you have planned sounds terrific!
Kbowman and Satya - I have finally been able to insert my ff-chart into my signature. Would you mind having a look at it and tell me what you think. I reckon I ovulate on day 15, not 13. Thanks girls!
OPKs are driving me nuts. Again like last month I had no line yesterday, then no line at 7am and this afternoon I had a fainter line than the control line. That happened last month and I never got a darker line. How often do those of you who use OPKs test? Once a day? Twice, three times? Can you get a surge during the day (or even at night) after testing and then it would be gone by the next day and you never knew?? :wall:
Hi to Mamal and everyone else!
-
Treelo- I know exactly what you mean. Three days ago DH was questioning my reasoning for having another child. On the lines that the two we have now are healthy and we are happy and now they are old enough to give us a little more freedom and sleep.
He worries about m/c or problems with me or baby. Funny I only really worry about m/c.
I don't know what you do to help him see your side. When they get fixated on an idea they are hard to convince.
Satya- How are you managing? Is he leaving you alone?
I am busy wondering " Am I?" The obsession begins again. My boobs are sore. But I started doing some exercises for my headaches yesterday so I don't know. It is a good thing I have BellyBelly to obsess at or I would Drive myself and everyone else crazy.
-
3 days till testing Diane!! How are you doing?
-
Penny— I took a look at your chart and it’s hard to tell if you O’ed on CD13 or CD15 last cycle. If you didn’t have the ferning info, I would say for certain that it was CD13. But do the ferning signs usually show up after ovulation? I’ve never used a ferning kit. The ewcm was at the right time for CD13. I’ll be curious to hear what others say.
When I use OPKs, I test once a day until the faint line starts to go a bit darker and I’m showing other signs of being near ovulation (like ewcm). After it’s gotten a little darker, I’ll test twice a day. I don’t know if it’s really necessary, because usually my LH surge lasts 24 hours at least, but it makes me feel a little better and it’s only two extra strips. I often drink a lot of water in the afternoon, which can dilute the sample. Most OPKs suggest holding your urine for a few hours before hand and not drinking during that time.
Treelo and Jayney—I wonder if your DHs are just letting out some of their anxieties about TTC. There’s a lot of baggage for men around being fertile too. And I think a lot of our partners just want to see us happy and they figure we wouldn’t hurt and stress about it if we weren’t trying any more.
-
Hi ladies - well, I'm 16DPO and I was due for AF on the 17th - and she hasn't shown her face... I'm getting some small cramps on the right side only.. Which is driving me nuts because when AF comes, I never get them on one side, I get the pain shared equally :P
kbowman - How long have you been keeping AF at bay?? I'm two days past AF and still nothing! Although I am getting creamy like CM *shrugs*
Penny - Here's hoping I did catch it!
-
Mammal- you are right. I wish men came with a pocket translator so when they say "Maybe we shouldn't have more kids" It would tell us what they mean like" I am worried about you "
-
Jayney - i think we are cycle buddies... ithink i am on day 19 as well!
LizJessie - maybe good news 4 u? FIngers crossed hun!
Penny - i know how us feel about OPK's. I tried them once and i have a really crap time interpreting all the different shades of lines. I decided they weren't for me and decided to go by my temps and CM. But i applaud anyone who works out how to use them properly!
Zionsmum - woo hoo... nearly time for you to test!
Treelo - sorry your man is being such a doofus. Here's hoping he was just having male PMT and will be in a better mood soon.
Mammal - go the Vitex. I love the stuff. It has helped regulate my cycle so i now ovulate on Day 14 when it used to be Day 19 or thereabouts. Good luck with it.
Beaksie - have fun in Exmouth. How lovely to be able to have a little getaway! Thant's what i really need i reckon.
Kiwigirl - glad no one is harrasssing you abour are you pg or not. I hate it when people ask me that. One girl at work kept on looknig at my stomach and saying "are you sure you haven't got something to tell me?" (she has five kids under age five, so has mo idea what m/c feelws like) and i said to her "well, i've actually just m/c'd. and i would appreciate it if you don't assume things, thanks!". That put her in her place! She has kept well away from me and looks rather embarrassed everytime i see her.
MissBelinda - good luck with Fertility First and your possible career change!
KBowman - so sorry AF came hun (and you are definitely not invisible!).
Satya - how u holding up sweetie? Big hugs.
HI and big hugs to everyone else.
As for me, waiting in the TWW... we gave things a good go (on numerous occasions!) this month, so i am hoping it is going to be a BFP... but knowing my luck it will be a BFN (as usual ... sigh), so i am not getting too optimistic. But we BD'd on day 11, 12, 13 and 14, and FF says i O'd on Day 14, so i am happy we at least BD'd at all the right times. I also drank heaps of water and decaf green tea and a bit of Robitussin every day (cough mix which thins out CM and makes it friendlier for sperm!) and my CM was great this month. SO at least i know we did everything we could this month, so it is up to Nature now, i guess. Trying not to think about it now and am not going to test unless AF is insanely late!
Have a good arvo everyone.
-
LSB - Gosh I hope so! I hope you get a :bfp: too!
-
Penny - I started using OPK's for the first time this cycle and i have to say that my experience has been positive, but i think it comes down to a few things. Using then around 2pm and restricting fluids for 2 hours before. I did this religiously and managed to get a very faint line that got gradually darker until the 3rd day it was as dark as the control line and then two faint lines over the next two days. So i am satisfied that i got a true positive. We BD more before the surge and only one more time after the surge which was this morning. But they say you ovulate about 24 hours after the surge so im hoping we caught the egg this time. We can only pray.
Mammal - i know he hates seeing me go through all this pain and frustration of trying so hard and thinking that we might have done it this cycle and then go through the dissapointment of AF coming. But I went into this with my eyes wide open. I am ttc with the knowledge that i may have to suffer through another m/c and i am prepared to take that chance. I think its a male ego thing !!
But i know we will be fine.
Lizjessie - I cant believe you havent tested yet !!!!! your one tough cookie !! good luck hun.
LSB - Im with you on the tww, perhaps we can keep eachother sane....im sure gonna need some help to stop from testing 20 times !!
Zionsmum - i have everything crossed for you sweety
Satya - I have been thinking about you hun, i hope your doing ok, are you going to get the lap done?
To everyone else - hugs and prays for bfp's !!!!
As for me....its the tww joy !! i will not test till af...i will not test till af.....yeah right...nice try treelo !!!!
hugs
treelo
