NaeNae, That sounds lovely about the feather, definately your little Angel! I haven't had anything that peaceful from Jayvan yet! The other day my dog stuck his nose into a glass trying to lick the dregs out of the bottom, and the entire thing exploded around his nose and left the base of the cup still sitting, undisturbed, on the ground (dog unharmed, thankfully!). I imediately thought of Jayvan playing tricks on our poor dog as it's exactly the sort of trait he would have inheritted from DF! It's lucky he's a sooky, placid boy, being a german shepherd he could very well hold his own!

Lan - your chart is definitely up in the air isn't it? Maybe your body geared up for ov and then it didn't happen as I see you had 1 day of EWCM and now you are back to W which is still a good sign. Keep up the loving I say and hopefully that egg will pop soon ;)

Diana - that is great news about your follicles! How exciting to be so close to what is hopefully a BFP for you in a couple of weeks...

Beata - if it's any consolation I didn't get any Valentines day action either. In fact I haven't had any loving for so long now I can't even remember when it last was! Another couple of weeks and we might be game enough to risk it. Maybe...:redface:

Nae - that is a lovely story about the feather and it sounds beautiful that garden you have set up. I had big plans for an angel garden in our yard but unfortunately gardening is not exactly my forte and so it hasn't gotten very far. I have a beautiful ornament out there but it is now surrounded by weeds!

Lan, sorry, the blood really is getting to my head lately....you are charting your CM :doh:. A bit confused now too....My doc gave me the best advice. He said 'have regular relations and have fun at it, and you've got the best chances of conceiving'. Luckily, my DF and I have a very healthy s*x life, so we never felt like we were really trying. Too bad, it was getting us nowhere....I still have the smallest of small glimmers of hope that we might conceive naturally, I always say, NEVER SAY NEVER!!!
Even when we were starting IVF last year, he said to keep doing what we nornally 'do', because if you focus too much at the whole process, you stop enjoying your life.

I have a friend that is driving me bonkers. She'll say something about her daughter, then as soon as she says it she says "oh but don't worry, you'll have that soon!" and then I will have an uncontrollable bout of word vomit which usually offends her and then I'm having to "fix her up" because she'll have a guilt attack about saying whatever she said. *deep breath in* It's exhausting... to the point where I wish she'd just leave me alone. It sounds horrible but I'm trying to just push her out of my life as she has caused other unnessessary drama's in my life, but she just won't get the hint :doh: I'm a b*tch.

:lol: relations :lol: always makes me think of family not DTD. I think its funny when Drs use terms like this or hesitate before using proper words for your bits.

Teagz - Isn't verbal diahorrea wonderful :rolleyes: next time you suffer a case of it with your "friend try to avoid the temptation to fix her up seriously she is being a bit - absent minded? - with her comments so to hell with her.
Maybe do the slow cut off thing you know, don't rush to catch up, take some time to return calls etc or just be really busy all the time :rolleyes:

AFM, I rang the doc today as I was a bit concerned about the low abdominal pain and sore back, and he said that the uterus is still contracting as it's going back to its normal size. Phew, that is a relief, I thought I popped some stiches inside (I guess I would have known if I did!!),

Hi Ladies,
I just got back from my doctor's appt and ultrasound. Our little man is doing really well. He was moving all over the place and making it very difficult for the ultrasound tech. The measurements are still very good, he is growing well. He weighs a bit over 500 grams now. I see the doctor once a week now and I get another ultrasound in 2 weeks. I also get to see my high risk doctor in 3 weeks for another growth scan.

I'm really glad to hear things are going well for you, Laney. Keep up posted, I want to know how you're doing all the way until that bubs is born. :)

Diana, good luck for tomorrow. Hope you've got loads of nice ripe eggs for harvesting :-)

Laney, great news about your champion little man. Could you see him wiggling about? Oh that is so sweet.

Beata, I check everything! Only because I'm a control freak. I think I might've O'd yesterday. It's possible to O twice in one cycle isn't it? Because I think I have. Oh well, the more eggs the merrier!

Lan, I'm a control freak too....can be frasturating at the best of times. I am working on letting go a bit though, as I now know things sometimes are out of my control...When I was living on my own I was really bad, but now I have DF and his kids in my life, and suddenly I realise I'm not in as much control as I always have been.....I think that's a good thing. I try and toss things up in the air and see where they land, and then I deal with them.

Thanks for your positive vibes girls. Had acupuncture this morning so she did her magic on my uterus and general well being as I'm still battling this flu. I am really excited but quite scared at the same time.

Beata, theatre is at 8am. Glad you called the doctor and what you're feeling is part of the healing process. Won't be long now hun, you'll be as good as gold and ready for your FET before you know it. Am starting to cheer you on from now!

I am dropping in to my work tomorrow to finalise all my leave and clean up my desk etc -all the things I didn't actually get a chance to do before being whisked off for bedrest. It will be good to see everyone again. I can't believe I haven't been there for 9 weeks! And won't be back for about a year or so. Am dying for some goss and conversation though - your world becomes a little insular when stuck alone most days with only the net and the TV for entertainment...

Better go and ice the cupcakes I just made. I can't stop eating lately and unfortunately most of it is not good for me! See I really do need to get out of this house!

Beata, glad you got your nap! I feel like one at the moment actually. I forgot to take my in-liven and vit's the morning. It's amazing how much difference they can make to your energy levels... and I always thought I ate well enough to get enough of these vitimins and what not.

Well, I can't wait to go home. Had enough of work for today! My parents are coming over for dinner so I'm cooking them up a feast which will be nice.. I've become a bit of a loaser, I prefer the company of my parents and fam over that of any of my friends :doh: My 17 year old borther has a better social life than I do!

My strange bleeding happened again today as well. Af stopped on Sunday. Nothing all day monday and then this morning I got a small "gush" of bright red bloody :dunno: I hope it's not something the D&C has done to me... I might have to hassle my poor Dr again. :rolleyes:

hey girls my scan went great :clap:emmy (yes we name our embryo's) should go in on tuesday as long as the defrost process goes all well :pray:

okay as for the questions about ivf yep i'm doing a fet at the moment i'm only on ethinyl oestradiol and cardiprin one tablet each day. starting thursday will be taking those as well as provera 4 times a day (tablet) and progesterone pessary afternoon and night and crinone pessary morning and lunch these are vaginal gels. hope that all makes sense keep the questions coming i don't mind at all.;)

And thanks for answering my questions hun, I only did one stimulated cycle of IVF, so I'm not familiar with the other part to it, which is the frozen embie transfer and what happens with that. Thanks hun, you're one step ahead of me and that helps me to understand the process better :)

Well, today I have taken a personal day from work! Yesterday arvo I could feel my throat playing up again and I'm 99.99999% sure that I now have thrush back bugger it. I feel like I need a month off work just to get my body back in order and concentrate on that and not anything else but, I don't see tha happening anytime soon so I day is just going to have to do!
Also, some gorgeous soul has given my a random act of kindness and a platnum membership... so, i have no idea who it is was but to cover all basis thankyou to whoever you are! :hug: Small things like that just make you realise that there are wonderful people out there that would do anything for you, even if they are strangers almost. I feel so lucky to have found this wonderful site where I can pour my heart out at any time of the day and there are always people who are there and understand what Im feeling and also others that I can hopefully offer some support and comfort to :hug: You girls are all so amazing and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!

Teagz, you poor love. You're not having a good run..big hugs. When you see your doc next ask if there is something you can take to keep on top of the thrush. I don't know if yakult would help or drinking cranberry juice??? I used to get colds all the time, and then I started drinking yakult every day, and I take a super garlic and horseraddish tablet once aday (v. potent). I don't get sick much at all these days (unless someone at the office sneezes on me), and I don't get thrush unless I'm on super duper strong antibiotics (which I have been on twice after my placenta was removed manually).
I hope you poor wee body bounces back to good health very soon :comfort:

I think I also got given the random act of kindness & a platinum memb. (I think, I'm not sure!!!!) but if I have, I want to thank the beautiful and generous person who gave it to me. I am very honoured and speechless (which does not happen a lot LOL) thank you from the bottom of my heart. This site, and particularly, this thread, has helped me in so many ways since I lost Joshua. I wouldn't be where I am today, if it wasn't for you girls. Thanks so much for all your support :grouphug:

well first apologies for being MIA again! I have been having quick sneaks on to see how you all have been but then i have'nt been back on for about a week now!
secondly -so much has happened that i'm sitting here quite overwhelmed at all the posts! You girls have been busy but i am very happy to see some good stuff coming out too! laney! Congrats on another great scan...things are looking wonderful for you and bubs! You are my new inspiration!!! And the other jo -you are doing amazing!!! As for me, this month, well a few days before valentines Dh decided it was time to TTC again. That night i was a mini bundle of nerves eventhough its something i really want only due to my history but i have been in a happier positive state since. Which comes as a huge surprise!Once i get that BFP it may be a different story tho....we'll see.....

13 eggs collected yesterday

Scientist just called to say:

6 fertilised
1 is touch and go - may or may not fertilise
2 not fertilised
4 not mature

She will be calling again tomorrow for another update on how these 6, possibly 7 little babies are going.

At this stage, looks like transfer will be on Monday.

I don't know anything much about IVF Diana but those numbers sound pretty good to me! :clap: I know a girl who went in and she could only get 2 eggs collected, of which only 1 fertilised so your numbers look pretty good in comparison :D

Hi everyone! Diana that sounds great! Will they transfer one embie or two? Ahh modern technology it is great, although sometimes I wonder if having all this knowledge at our fingertips makes us more nervous! Take me, I have become addicted to my little monthly US, and spend the last week & 1/2 waiting so nervously for it to come, I am in that freaked out mode again my next one isn't due until the 2 March. To make matters worse after being a good baby and lying head down, bub has decided that it will to be like the brother's and turn around, very annoying! The biggest problem with that is I keep getting a foot or perhaps a hand digging around in my cervix, which seriously makes me nervous. I know all the tricks of the trade to try and get them to turn and have been/will be doing them religously, although didn't help with Corey. Wow 25wks tomorrow (my ticker doesn't really keep up properly) I thought I would have been a bit more relaxed....
Laney - Great news on your little man, I bet it seems so surreal, but you will get to bring this bubba home I am sure.
Jo - Do you get any jabs in your cervix that make you want to cross your legs in case they come out?? (Probably overexaggerating a bit)
Like Jo76 I am not going to go into too many personals as you guys are flying along and I will cross over stories for sure, but just now that I think of you all often.

Woooh, that's great news Diana. The girl at my work who did IVF (that I told you about) only ever got one fertilised egg and it stuck and now she's just over 20wks. Well done!

Diana, that is awesome!!! Great result hun, now we need the eggs to keep growing to day 5 and become blasties!!!! That's what my little bub was, a day 5 blastie. It only takes one!!!!!! Even if you only get one or two blasties, that is great as only the toughest and fittest ones keep on going, so if they take (which they will and they will be sticky!!) you'll have a fantastic chance of BFP!!!!!! You know i'm praying and keeping everything crossed for you hun :pray: :pray: :pray:

Helen, almost 25 weeks!!!! Congratulation hun! Time is certainly flying by isn't it? Hun, don't beat yourself up about not being relaxed enough. After what you've been through (and all of us will understand this) it's perfectly natural to feel nervous, no matter where you are at in your pregnancy. Give your bub a nice little rub and tell them to flip over so they're not annoying your cervix. And then take a few good long, deep breaths, and pat yourself on the back for doing so well. Big hugs hunni :hug:

Beata, I was hooked up to an antibiotic drip for 3 days after I had the part of my D&C, so I think it may be what's got me so run down, although it's been a couple of months... :dunno: Either that or my body just hates me ><; I wanna give you a big hug to :hug: I love love reading your posts, you're always so encouraging. And Yep you have a membership to! I'd love to know who gave me mine... they're naughty! Hi Helen, so glad things are going well for you and I can totally understand your concern with baby pushing on your cervix. Talk to your doctor if it becomes too stressful and worrying for you. WOO HOO for 25 weeks!

Although I would love to get 2 transferred, I will only get one. I am too worried I won't be able to carry the weight of 2 babies due to my incompetent cervix and just don't want to take any chances. I will talk to the FS about it again but I'm pretty sure I know what he'll say - 1 only.

I called the clinic today to have a chat to one of the nurses, and she said I stimulated too fast and that's why they had to get me in for pick up yesterday and not Friday - they were worried I would over stimulate and have to cancel my cycle. If they kept me going for a few more days I probably would have ended up with the 24 which were the ones in the running from Monday's scan. Oh well, can't complain with 6 or 7, still pretty good from what I am discovering from Jo and Lan's friends.

I get daily updates from the scientist on how they are progressing so will keep you posted. Here is a prayer for each of them -

Ok, so... When I told a friend of mine from school that I was pregnant she pretty much went off at me, asked me why I hadn't used contraception blah blah blah (Jayvan was a surprised, but a very much loved one) When I lost Jayvan she made a joke about DF and I being related and making deformed babies and I got a lecture about how "the world is over populated anyway" etc etc. Fine. She's one of those people who is really self absorbed and sort of says what's going through their mind before thinking about the impact it's going to have on someone else, so we've always sort of just forgiven her for it because it seems she just can't help it.
A few months ago she broke up with her partner she'd been with for 2 years, and went off the pill. D'er!
Of all the friends she has to call, She calls me last night because she hasn't had a period since December, but hadn't slept with anyone after her last period? and is panicking and wanted "advice" as to what she should do. She doesn't know if the father would be her ex boyfriend or some random guy she slept with. And she doesn't want a baby and she doesn't want to have an abortion and blah blah blah. She doesn't even know if she is pregnant yet, anyway because she won't do a test... but, God! Some people! :doh:

Diana, I'm no expert either, but it sounds like a great harvest! It seems we have a couple of embies on the launching pad for girls in here.

Teagz, I'm sympathetic to your thrush problems. I've just finished my second round of antibiotics for a sinus infection I've had since November (and this time it seems it MIGHT have worked), and of course that means I got my second yeast infection right along with them. All this stuff is just crazy, but I'm trying to get myself to ***** less, heh. I don't know what to say about your friend -- some people have such trouble putting themselves in other peoples' shoes that you wonder if they have feet. It seems that she's very stuck in the mindset of a pregnancy being a disaster and that she therefore cannot understand that you see it differently, and that she furthermore is being severely tactless with her choice of words and topics. Of course it's perfectly legitimate for her to be having the panic she's having about being pregnant if that's where she is in here life, but perhaps she should pick someone else to talk to about it if she needs to panic and vent. Since you're only 20, I think the sad truth is that most of your peers will have a hard time seeing pregnancy and babies from your angle. I know I was pretty clumsy about it just 4 years ago when our close friend got pregnant! Anyway, dazzle your friend with your maturity, and if that doesn't work, tell her to buzz off. ;)

As for my thrush I'm soooo onto it now! *hopes she doesn't jinx herself* Yesterday I spent all day comando, I'm taking regular dose of my probiotic stuff, bulk amounts of water, I have changed my washing detergent to a low alergy/no fragrant one and, absolutely no sugar/softdrink/alcohol (not that I touch the stuff anyway) and none of anything else that causes it(I have a list somewhere)! I think I'm more focused on keeping thrush away atm than what I am about getting preg again ;)
I do feel alittle bit odsessive :rolleyes:
