Angelic - So sad sweetie to hear that things have changed. I was s happy and hopeful for you. Big hugs.
Lemonade - I am so glad you found a good ob who has given you, already, a sense of being important. Well done you.
Possums - not long to go now.... keep the faith and you'll be celebrating your tcc soon and the anguish of the 2ww.
Thinking of everyone else. Feeling quiet today - went to a funeral today, always sobering, even when not really close to the person. Have a good weekend.
Angelic- So sorry hun. So close. Thinking of you xoxoxoo
Love to all xoxo
Angelic – Hun, I am so sorry this happened. Sending lots of love and hugs your way.
Chez – I was on clomid for 4 cycles and had no side effects that I or DH could tell. Hope your experience will be similar and that this will do the trick.
Hope – sorry that evil AF has come around. Hopefully the clomid will help.
Teni – got my fingers crossed for you psychic abilities!
Hi to CharlieB, SusieQ, Samcougar, Dory, Crumpet, Lemonade, Gigi, Possums and anyone else I may have unintentionally missed. Hope you all are well.
Love to all xoxoxo
Having quite a few "blah" days lately - last night I felt so lonely! I just need something to take my mind off things... Sigh...
Oh, I've been charting for a few weeks now, I'm a bit slack though so it's not highly detailed. And the silly site I'm using, although very user-friendly and free, just goes off how long you say your cycles are to say when you've Oed. I did a ovulation test on the day the site said I'd be ovulating, but it was negative. Not even the faintest of lines.
So, being new to this, I have no real idea if I have or not. Can someone check it out for me? (linky) Am I now in my tww, or should I keep jumping DH every chance I get? ;) Is it detailed enough? I don't check everything every day, so I know it's hard to tell...
Hi Teni,
It’s never a bad thing to jump DH every chance you get! ;)
I charted for 2.5 years, but then got to the point where my cycles were so regular I just spot check with an OPK kit starting on day 11 (I typically show positive for LH surge on day 13). If you are going to chart your temps though, it’s best to do them every day so you can tell when there’s a real change as opposed to normal day to day fluctuation. There should be a dip on the day you ovulate followed by a rapid rise to a temp above your normal baseline. Also, your cervical mucus should be egg white just before and during ovulation (rule of thumb… if you have egg white, BD your brains out!) Based on your chart, I think it’s possible you did O on the date they predicted, although it’s tough to be sure unless you have more temp readings. Did you get more than 1 day of egg white?
About the neg OPK, the thing to remember is that they don’t indicate that you have ovulated, just that you are about to. The luteinizing hormone (LH) that the tests detect is released as a spike into your system in order to initiate ovulation, but it doesn’t stick around. Ovulation itself occurs 24 to 36 hours after that LH spike. If you did O on the date predicted, then the LH would have been gone by that point (neg OPK). You most likely were positive for LH the day before (based on your egg white). Since DH’s swimmers can survive anywhere from 3 to 5 days, it looks like you’re covered. However, more BD is never a bad thing!
:D
Why oh why didn't the OPKs arrive a day earlier? I did one as soon as they came in the mail, and I was sooooo disappointed when I only got one line! Should've read more first, I didn't realise it can change so quickly... Hoping you're right and I did O when I was "meant" to!
(tmi) I did only have the one day of noticiable EWCM. Since I found out what it was I've been checking every time I go to the toilet lol - not pleasant a lot of the time :p I've also just learned how to check my cervical position, so I've done that today. Pretty embarrassed to work out that was what I used to feel when "experimenting" with myself ;) (tmi over)
:pink-babydust::bluedust: to everyone - here's hoping some more of us get our BFPs soon!
Teni - I just posted a message to you in the wrong thread.... blah to me. What I posted was that I saw Ianto's sunset picture on Carly's website - it's beautiful. If you hadn't of asked about your PK etc, Chris wouldn't have answered. I am glad to have been able to understand a bit more....
Chris, Possum, Hope - similarly I posted a hello to you in the wrong thread.
I am a bit glum today, not much to say. Had a funny experience with the fur babies on the weekend - taking them to the vet was hilarious. I'll tell you about it later. Have run out of puff. Take care my sweets.
Angelic - sweetie - how are you going? Big hugs.
Just popped in to catch up on what everyone is up to.
Just wanted to pass on my sympathies to Angelic. So sorry sweetie. I imagine things are pretty tough right now. Thinking of you.
Hi Teni
I think Chris has given some pretty good advice about your chart. I had a quick look and agree with everything Chris has said. I know my CM can be pretty scant at times, so it is a good idea to be looking at other signs such as temp and cervix position. Have you tried the Fertility Friend web site. I think that is free to chart with and I think it is a bit better than the one you are using and actually gives you a warning beforehand of O, but I think that part is a paid upgrade from memory. Might be worth checking out if you are going to continue with temping etc.
oxo
Yeah, I'm using both that site and FF - the "you're about to O" warning is in the paid update :(
angelic - I'm so sorry, I've been caught up in my own stuff and didn't realise that you definitely lost your new bubba
I just wanted to pop in and say sorry to Angelicdragon. Sending you lots of love and a little bit of hope in this sad time.
Also wanted to say welcome to ChrisW, Hope and Possums and wishing you all the best for TTC.
I have been lurking and wanted to put in a plug for a few things....for those on clomid (I was never on it) but I did try the TTC friendly lubricant (Preseed) and was happy with it. Didn't get to use it too much..... I also wanted to recommend the book "Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility" by Sami David and Jill Blakeway. They really break down a lot of things and offer solutions.....and it was nice to have a book that took both a western and eastern perspective towards ttc and they do have an entire section on clomid and ivf and why it fails sometimes......they also have a lot of success stories that I thought were helpful. Sorry--just a plug for a book I thought was helpful.
Hi to everyone else and best of luck this cycle....I am trying to focus on day to day things--sorry if I am not posting, but I feel like I am just kind of holding my breath sometimes...Hopefully I will be more comfortable and post more soon.
Angelic- I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out for you. Thinking of you, Big hugs hun.
A big hello to all you other lovely ladies :hello:
