Just a quick hello to let you all know I am still alive!! :p Thanks for thinking of me Dory! Just been busy with work and still unpacking. Haven't been on bellybelly cos I just haven't been coping with the whole TTC and it not happening and missing my baby. Alot of friends and rellies have been popping out healthy little bubbas the last few weeks and as much as I am happy for them it kinda cuts too. Jealousy is a witch!! I try so hard to be upbeat about it. BUT everytime I see a belly or a new bub or a bub that would be the same age as my little man it hurts. :(
Other than that life has been pretty cruisy. Enjoying my new job and new town and setting up house again. I love living near my sister which I haven't done since we were both still living at home!
I am soo sorry to hear of the bad news some of you ladies have been dealt with. Makes some of my probs feel alot less important. Hugs to you all!!!! :grouphug:
Anyway I gotta try and sleep. Early start tomorrow! :bedtime: NightNight!!
-
Hi ladies,
Just popped in to spread some very needed baby dust to all!
Gigi, do one nice thing for yourself EVERYDAY hun. Don't forget! Meditation tonight sounds heaven, wish I had the energy AND motivation :o I'm sorry about your SIL
Skybie, yay for AF! GL in this cycle hun, will be keeping a close eye on you and Gigi and keeping everything crossed for you both :crossfingers:
Tash, huge congrats honey! Well done and wishing you all the very best in this pg. Hope all your tests go OK
Melzi, I am so sorry to hear your news hun. Big hugs and I'm sending you much strength for the upcoming days/weeks
Blessed, GL on the clomid hun! My SIL has just had a bub (yes IAM A PROPER AUNTIE NOW!!!!) and she conceived him on clomid not long into the treatment. She was told she released 2 eggs in the lucky cycle, but only one got the swimmer.
Hi to everyone else, Cheryl, Kate, Lollylegs, Freya, sorry if I missed anyone!
OK, over and out for me, should do some morning dishes and tidy up. So happy to have my DF back at home and I managed to score some pretty impressive diamond studs off him for my birthday in May! He was supposed to get them for me on my last BIG birthday, so I made him go up a size hehehehehehehehehe. And thank you for the lovely birthday wished for Cam! 1 already, OMG. We went to an animal farm and it was a great day! Lots of good pics with face full of chocolate cake smeared all over, I went into an OCD shock :o

Oh and I forgot to say I'll be keeping a very close eye on you too Dory!!!!!!! GL hunni, fingers crossed for a lovely BFP for you soon :crossfingers:
-
Hi ladies
Melzi - I'm so sorry to hear about the stresses you have had lately hun. I hope your biopsies come back all clear.
Tash- congratulations on the BFP. I hope your meeting went well today and that means you can have a CVS very soon to rest your minds. Being pg is hard work, and even harder when we have these problems to deal with as well.
Hi to Dory, Gigi, lollylegs, Freya, Miss B., skybie, Powelly and everyone else.
Just a quick update from me.
We had planned a nice weekend away doing some shopping for the baby and us, and going to some nice restaurants. That was until I woke up on Saturday morning early and found I was bleeding. We rushed straight to the hospital who were fantastic and admitted me straight away. I was so distraught. I felt so worried that we were losing another precious baby. After lots of tests and an ultrasound they couldn't find any reason for the bleeding. Thankfully my cervix was still tightly shut! The bleeding has stopped now thank goodness but I have just seen my ob and she is taking no chances. I had two options - go to hospital so that any future bleed could be managed immediately, or if I could be trusted to commit to bedrest I could stay at home. I have at least one month off work and she will reassess then. The important thing is to get this baby to 28 weeks, because that will be a 100% survival rate. So I think you will be seeing a lot more of me around over the next month or so. It is hard but we're committed to doing whatever we can right now to ensure that our baby survives. I have been referred to a specialist who will do the next ultrasound in two weeks. He specialises in high risk pgs, which is what we are now apparently. The scan is to check baby's growth and make sure the bleeding hasn't caused any growth problems. There is a chance they will start me on steriods from 24 weeks as well to start lung development just in case an early delivery is required. We have our fingers and toes crossed that we make it into the 3rd trimester at least!
Take care all.

Melzi, when are you having the lumpectomy? You poor thing..
Chez - How scary for you.. How far along are you now?
AFM - Well waiting, waiting lol.. Dr's tomorrow, temps are still high.. I am 12DPO today.. I was going to do a HPT this morning BUT stopped myself.. I'm better waiting.. The doc will most likely send me for bloods tomorrow anyway, if AF hasn't arrived.. I am not really worried about the results of DP's S/A, more just if I O'd and what action to take if I didn't..
MissB- That's awesome you are an aunty, the 2 egg release scares the crap out of me though!! Just 1 will be fine! Lol.. I have been hearing of a few good results with clomid of late, I'll be happy to join that group thank you!! I would love to be pregnant before my 30th, which is in july.. There is STILL TIME!!
-
Blessed- it's scheduled for next week.
Chatted to my new gp/obgyn today and she said that I will be able to ttc straight after the op. Feeling pretty positive (she told me that they take the lump out as well as a little surrounding tissues therefore limiting the need for radiation therapy!) and it's a day theatre so I will be home the next day.
In regards to ttc, they have figured out I'm defo not ovulating. So next cycle I start clomid... And ultrasounds and blood tests that go with it. Things are starting to look up. Although I am quite nervous.
Hey to everyone else, sorry I haven't been on much I've had lots on my mind. Hope everyone is well x

Melzi- thinking of you this week brave lady. Hope it all goes well. Ques...does clomid cause any trouble for what you are going through now? I hope you are getting all the care and advice you need hun. Thinking of you and sending you lots of strength. I hope you don't need the additional therapy afterwards.
Miss B- Thank you sweet...yes i am trying to remember. It is quite challenging. And you would never guess...since i have been doing more for myself, i have also started to lose some weight. Touch Wood! Not easy but i am doing well i think. Congras on becoming an Aunty...it is one of the best jobs in the world I can honestly say. Bet you will be wonderful.
Haha re the OCD and cake messy photos...cute. And i must say your hubby is a keeper!
Blessed- Sounding good there hun. Fingers crossed!
Chez- My god hun, how scarey. I am so glad you got there and got answers. That was full on and i bet you were frightened hun. You had ever right to be. Sounds like you are in good hands. I hope you will be bored out your brains babe...uneventful and long wait for a well timed labour and birth. Will be good to have you around more. Thinking of you . xoxo
Lolly- So good to have you dropping in hun. You have sounded busy. I know how it feels for me and i can only imagine it might be similar. It is tough some days. I am sorry it has been a bit that way for you hun. It is hard seeing pregnancy and bubs the age of our littlies. Bitter and Sweet. Something we learn to live with over time but it doesn't dull the intensity sometimes. I feel a bit stuck atm. A group of friends/family that hang out together in my life are all with kids and one is pregnant again. It is al they talk about...why wouldn't you really. i feel like an outsider. I hope it gets easier for you my friend. Sounds like a treat being nearer your sister. xoxo
Dory- Hope you are enjoying riding the TTC train again...hope you find a BFP soon hun. xoxo
ALL other girls...thinking of you all.
Well I am only CD3. I thought AF was starting earlier but it was just spotting and nothing came of it until the weekend. So we are in full swing now.
Went to an appointment today and i feel really good about it. Long story short, it was a naturopath that does an alternative treatment. Anyway she was able to do some work on my hormones, and i have a DHEA homeopathic to help me through the second half of my cycle and my progesterone etc. So finger crossed it will help me fall pregnant. With each new thing i try i think with new hope...maybe this is all i had to do, wouldn't it be great if this was the exact thing i needed. Oh it is so frustrating, this constant search and no one, not even endocrinolgists, specialists, doctors, have ever had much light to shed. I have always been told ...according to tests that my hormones were fine. BUT, i have always had symptoms of an imbalance. To me that has been a flashing red light but I am not a doctor and sometimes, just sometimes- to have knowledge of ones body is met with an attitude that I am one that consults google as a gp. I don't know everything, no one does, but i feel i know my body more than I am comfortable admitting. Fingers crossed thsi helps us fall pregnant. She said, as we were leaving...i bet you fall pregnant. You know even if she has no idea...just saying that has given us hope.
AHhhhhh! A big sigh of relief.
So off i go. xoxoxoxo Thinking of you all going through a tough time. xoxo
-
Hey Gigi- as far as I've been told it shouldn't affect the treatment im having. I'm only having surgery then starting clomid afterwards. Obviously I may be a bit sore still next cycle and might not want to dtd/ttc but I will talk to the surgeon and my gp/obgyn afterwards.

Melzi- That is good hun. Will be thinkig of you! Hope it all goes well, you fall pregnant and all the good pregnancy hormones help your recovery! xoxo
-
Hi
Blessed - all is sounding good for you hun - FX. I am 23 weeks now and am trying to think lots of positive thoughts to get us to the end of this scarey journey.
Gigi - wow, you're sounding so positive again, which is great to hear. I understand completely about your comment about knowing your body, and sometimes knowing too much. Google can be a great source of information, but sometimes it is not information that we need, but stories of hope and success. I hope you're onto a good thing with this naturopath's treatment.
Melzi - good luck with the lumpectomy. You are sounding very brave and strong. I don't know if I could/would be as strong as you under the circumstances. You have been through so much recently. Remember, just as Gigi is doing, try to find sometime to do something for yourself, everyday if you can. You're the most important person in your life right now. Keep on fighting hun.
AFM, I think the universe is trying to teach me two things right now. 1 - having the grace to accept the things that I cannot change (I already recognise the difference), and 2 - learn to do nothing. I had practised this over Christmas but with my DH fracturing his wrist and looking after the bulk of the domestic duties, a full-on job and uni, I think everything has overtaken me. So forced rest is probably exactly what I need, it's just that I am not particularly good at doing nothing. I have started writing a list of things that I could do, that would be still gentle enough on my body. I'll clear that my with DH when he gets home later today, but largely it involves reading books and catching up on some movies, finishing a cross stitch I started eons ago, and maybe joining the new local library and start reading up on bubbas rather than just pg.
Anyway, take care all.

Chery, that sounds like a plan love.
Lots of reading.
Start a journal for this little ones start in life.
Craft, sewing.
Get out all the old movies from when we were kids...i did that through my preg with DD. Never Ending story...the lot.
It can be hard, but after some time you will find it easier and you will have so much to do...in a sitting and lying position that you will not have time to do other things. GL hun and FX for an uneventful remainder of this pregnancy.
AFM- yes feeling a bit brighter atm. Lost 4.5kg which certaintly helps spirits. Feeling a bit more on top of my health which is also a big help. Boy a glimmer of hope can also lift you a bit. oxxoox Soldiering on. I have noticed that each time i get knocked down these days it is much harder and longer to get up as we reach the tail end of this journey. All part of it a guess. For now, we are still in the race. oxoxox
-
Gi - ys you are... still in the race... hoping this cycle is the one. FX... Congrats on losing some weight too.. did you give it to me? LOL
Chez - oh sweetie - 23 weeks... you can do this bed rest thing.. also remember, better than being in hospital at the mo. It is very HARD to slow down, but you can do it. I never thought I could but I did it, a whole 7 months worth and I was a person that never stopped before the pregnancies.... exercised twice a day 6 days a week.... I am so sorry for yor scare, I imagine you were just petrified. Glad bubs is ok.
Lolly - you're welcome. Keeping busy I see....
MissB - hiya! thanks... your pressie sounds nice.... now you're learning to live with DH again.... how is Cam going with his dad home? Congrats on being an aunty too! YAY.
Blessed - GL.... I too long for twins again... but the reality is overwhelming both during the pregnancy if it happens and later on.... here I am getting ahead of myself.
Melzi - GL next week. You will be releived to have the procedure and then anxiously wait the results.... hoping the next cycle is the one.
AFM - well I am a duffer. I am so eager to ovulate that I see the symptpoms where they in fact do not exist. Don't we all know that feeling?
I had a temperature drop one day and I think Oh yay! I had a temperature rise the next and I am beside myself with excitment.... I have a temperature drop the next day and my excitement drops as well as the temp rise should be maintained for at least 3 days... so I double check the CM and position of the cervix.... my god is it really that close? I am guessing that means it's not high...and whilst there's more CM... it's not like I remember it from before.... ah well. Early days really.
So I got myself super excited and all for nothing I suspect. Temp spike due to not getting any sleep and feeling unwell. At least I feel better. Am looking forward to going for a walk this arvo.. maybe if I remember not to eat beforehand I can also run? Trying to make the most of not being confined to the house and bed.

A selfish post for me.. Good results : Turns out I did in fact O, my day 21 progesterone is 200 :o which could either mean a pregnancy or over stimulation of the ovaries. So the doctor told me to think positive, but if I'm not pg this month we will continue on clomid for 3 cycles, if no pregnancy she wants to check my tubes :( I really hope for a BFP in the next few months.. At least my body is responding to clomid! DP's S/A was fine :)
Day 29 now, 13DPO I know I could test now, but don't want to in case I get a BFP but have an early loss.. Pray that AF stays away for 5 more days.. Then I'll test :noaf:
