I'm in Fremantle, Western Australia and looking for a trainee doula. I'm 1st trimester so it won't be for some months yet. I'm not sure whether I'll be birthing in hospital (I was very unhappy with Kaleeya the first time around both the antenatal care and the birthing experience and I really don't want to go down the KEMH route). I want a homebirth but I don't think it'll be possible since I live in a small flat in a block of units. Whatever happens, I still want a doula. My email is L_I_Pierre@hotmail.com .
If I end up in hospital, I really need a doula who'll kick the staff in the butt if they ignore me and treat me like an inconvenience or a freak like last time. If I have a homebirth I'll just need usual support e.g. pain relief techniques. I was hoping my Doula might double as my camera person too!
edit: I'm discovering that I have a fair bit of unresolved feelings relating to my previous birth so I'd like to forewarn any students lol! I think that some experience would be ideal, I don't think I'd make a very good first birth! So I'm still open to a student, but preferrably one with some experience.

Hi there!
I am just updating to say that I have finally booked my last certifying birth and will no longer be offering my services for free. However, for the time being I will be charging a reduced fee until I feel that my services are worth their value.
I would like to thank anyone who helped me along the way, without your support I would not have made it this far in my Doula travels!
Take Care!

Hi,
I am almost 20weeks with my 2nd child. EDD is 24th March 2010...
We are giving birth at Tweed Hospital.
If there are any Trainee Doula's who are available around this time and in this area, please contact me ASAP.
We are after a completely natural, intervention free birth.
My email is jess5ash@hotmail.com if you would like to respond to me directly.

Just a note to say that I am still looking for a few bubbies :)
I am in Gippsland, and can certainly cover the Latrobe regional and Warragul hospitals, I would also be willing to travel further afield if anyone was looking for a trainee doula further away :)
Hi ladies
I am due with my 2nd in mid Oct 2010 and would like to engage the services of a student/trainee doula.
I reside in the Redland Shire and plan to birth at Redlands Public.
My first baby was born in 2006 in Tasmania via emerg c/section, this time around I would like support and advocacy to acheive a VBAC.
If you think you can help, please PM me or email firefly_oz@hotmail.com

Hi ladies,
I am looking for a student doula to attend my hbac in Seaford, melbourne, in April 2013. I realize it may be a bit early to post this.
I had a very traumatic "emergency csection" with my first, and a loss before that, so this time I really want a calm and stress free (as best as that can be achieved) pregnancy and birth. I have done a lot of research on homebirths and risks, and finally feel completely content with this decision that it's best for me and bubs.
I will be having a water birth at home, in Seaford near Frankston.
The reason I am looking for a student doula is that we are really tight on money at the moment, but I feel my husband and I would benefit having some extra support on the big day.
I will have 2 midwives present, and possibly my daughter as well who will be just under 3 at the birth.
If you are interested, please contact me at tarrynweiss@hotmail.com (I hope it's ok to provide emails, as for some reason I cannot pm or be pm'd by anybody and am fairly new to belly belly.)
Thanks so much ladies!
Tarryn
Hi , I am from hawkesbury nsw..if anyone services my area , please let me know :) looking for a training doula or the like .
Hi,
I am 13 weeks pregnant with no.4 EDD 27/7/15. I am booked into The Angliss in Ferntree Gully, Vic. I have just been told that I will be under midwife care not the group midwife program that I wanted to be on, this is due to my BMI being 37. I am 36 years old, healthy apart from the high BMI. I have had 2 Caesars due to babies being breeched then had a successful VBAC with no 3 who was born 10 days over his due date. I really want to VBAC again and want a supportive person in the room, other than my husband, who I haven't just met for the first time. I am very keen on having a drug free, intervention free, calm birth.
You can contact me on linnea.norton.pp@gmail.com
Look forward to hearing from you.
