Congratulations!! I didn't get married in Fiji, but eloped to Vanuatu. I cannot recommend an intimate island wedding enough!! It is so easy and stress free. I hope you have a fantastic wedding. :)

Snacks i know, just dont think it will be as over whelming like a big wedding. I like the idea of being away and in a relaxed holiday mode, i think it will help me alot. I love party's and other peoples weddings but i am not comfortable at my own. Sounds silly i guess but i have always been like that.
Megan thanks that is what we are aiming for easy and stress free.
My 2nd wedding was avery relaxed day in Darwin (we lived there at the time) there were only 20 guests and it was so lovely. My brother took awesome photos too!
I didn't go through and read everything, but my brother got married in Fiji in 06 and it was beautiful!!!
The ceremony was the in most amzing little chapel right on the water at the Sheraton Resort on Denarau Island, just out of Nadi. There was a Fijian Choir singing up the back which is the most beautiful sound!! The reception was on the not far from the Chapel in the beautiful outdoors and was an amazing evening. There was only about 30 people there (due to location a lot of people couldn't afford to make the trip) which was lovely and intimate. The meal was beautiful and the cake just gorgeous!
DH and I got married 2 months later in Aus and wondered why we didn't follow suit with them (well I did, not DH, he a country boy!). They didn't find it difficult at all with the organisation and there really wasn't any hiccups at all.
They'd recommend it to anyone and I'd agree with them! Fab location, beautiful people, amazing service and really easy to pick a wedding package to suit you.
I hope that was a help :)
we are also planning a wedding in fiji for next october, but unsure where to stay. it's between naviti and warwick because of the all inclusive packages. we have a few friends who have stayed at naviti before and they tell us it was a lot better than warwick (though they did not stay there).
my travel agent insists we should stay at warwick, and says its much nicer than naviti.
oh also my friends say that warwick was mainly older people?? (we have a lot of children going)
i need help! can someone who has been to both please tell me what you think?
:)
i think for the all inclusive week and the wedding it was about $4000 !
it was so awsome your making me jealous i wanna go again

We had our honeymoon in Fiji, 6.5 years ago. We stayed at the Outrigger, right on the water...it was perfect. There were daily weddings on the beach almost every day of the 10days we were there, usually at sunset, which we'd watch from our buru or from the bar nearby...they all looked beautiful.
I've heard a few good things also about the Naviti, Warwick and the Shangri La too.
I'm sure whatever you's decide it'll all work out perfect.
We went to my SILs wedding at the Shangri-La and it was just lovely. And yes, everyone was in relaxed holiday mode so it was a fun time for all. Really great for families too. They got married in the chapel overlooking the water with the Fijian choir and sunset. Then they had the reception poolside at one of the pools. They found it easy to organise and all they really had to worry about was taking their wedding outfits with them! We saw a few other weddings too, one on a grassy patch overlooking the water and one on the beach so there are plenty of options to choose from. They would certainly recommend it!!
I just shot a wedding at the Shangri-la in Fiji a few weeks ago. I loved the venue. The people there are so kind and attentive. It was amazing........ The location is obviously incredible :) Oh, and the breakfast is amazing! Fiji is a traveler's country par Excellence, and whatever your budget, Fiji gives good value for your vacation dollars and plenty of ways to spend them. have a great wedding!!! :p
the shangri-la is really lovely...i always loved the drive over to the hotel...
if i had a choice between the naviti and the warick, i probably would go the warick. i felt that it was a little bit more spesh. but ppl are right, the naviti has a bit more family kids environment...and they recently did a refurbishment.
