Ok so i ordered DP the stubby holder from snapfish, it came it was gorgeous then DD1 dobbed us in and he has it already BUT i plan on stealing it back and putting it in with his other presents which are:
1. Wooden Toolbox DD1 has painted and decorated all on her own - HERE - she got it from bunnings and finished painting it today.
I am going to put the stubby holder, some peanuts, chicco's and a few other small items in it and wrap it in cellophane.
2. DD2 helped me make and paint THIS - we then put in some photo's, she attacked it with glitter & hearts, feathers and stickers.. it's even cuter as she helped me make it.
I'm thinking i might just get my DH a bunnings voucher... He's into those Ryobi tools (that have all the interchangable batteries?) and I have no idea which tool he actually wants next?!
Does that sound like a bit of a dodgey gift?
Not at all Helle i think it's great.. maybe your DS could make a card and you could write an I.O.U 1 Ryobi Tool
They are expensive and it would be a PITA if he had to return it as he already has it or doesn't NEED that one so your giving him what he will eventually WANT :p
I got DH to write a list awhile back with all the tools that were on his wishlist- brand, type, size. It worked great cos for his bday, christmas etc for the next 3 years i was covered (as well as had suggestions for his family). Need to get another list going.
Helle, going to Bunnings is as exciting as a present anyway ( for my DH, and he is 'training' DD). Add a sausage from the sausage sizzle out the front and he will be in bliss!
DPs stash is now as follows:
Toolbox, bombers shirt, bombers boxers, ACDC beer stein (plastic), pack of chiccos, pack of peanuts, hand painted home made frame, photo stubby holder, home made choc mint balls & a voucher that says " you've got the toolbox and plenty of tools, so we thought we'd let you choose, we owe you 1 tool purchase if your choice".
What did everyone else end up with?

- Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
Wow that list is HUGE!!! Lol one spoilt daddy there.
He's getting a stubby cooler decorated by DS1, a I love Daddy coffee mug, pkt of beer nuts a cooler bag & Rusty backpack for work. He is new to an office job after working in the field for 10yrs and takes all his stuff everyday in a plastic bag.........time for somthing new.
I got my 3 year old to draw a story for her daddy ... She has been working on it for about 2 weeks, so there's about 10 pages of things she *loves to do with daddy* hehe
And she also wrote what each picture was about (I had to write down what was going on in each picture and she then copied the words onto her book)
She also picked his card out, which sends her into stitches! Tis a Homer and Bart Simpson one! the talking ones ... aye aye ayeeeeeee
Also just grabbed him some chocolates...the man is a chocoholic!
DS1 made something at kinder, no idea what. Bought DH a pillow cause his sux and he keeps jumping onto my pillow when I get up to go to work. And Woolies has these 1kg whitmans chocolate boxes for $25 so got him one of them too.
DH LOVED his book!! I loved making it too. I ended up getting a 20cm x 20cm hard cover book from Harvey Norman as they had a special on for Fathers Day and I liked the options better for making it as in colour, boarders etc. I turned the photo book into an actual story book that dh can read to ds :)
I had gotten a joke gift of socks, undies, chocolate and a magazine for DH as our baby's due date was Tuesday 6th. However after a very long induction process, will be giving the ultimate gift today - our first bubs!!
That sounds like the best Prezzie idea in the world lol were outdone
He got to pick the name too :)
