Ceremony in the Gardens of Oatlands House, Reception at Oatlands House
From the first time DH took me there which would have been in 1998 I always dreamed of getting married there...all my dreams came true with a beautiful day!!

We got married 31st May 1997!
It was in the Conservatory in the Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne. That way I didn't have to pay for flowers  I walked down the aisle to Heather Nova's Doubled up in Love and our Wedding Shuffle was to Nat King Cole's Fascination.
We had our ****tail Party Reception(didn't want to do sit down) at the now defunked Chaucer's in Canterbury. It was where they always held the Gown of the Year for many many years. And we only lived 5mins away from at the time! Spent our wedding night at the Savoy Plaza in Melbourne's CBD.
We were saving all our money for our honeymoon...3wks in Maritius and Reunion!! It was just beautiful.
I want to go back to our honey moon destination for our 20yr anniversary...only 8yrs to go or is that 7  :confetti:
Ahhhh, there is no smiley for daydreaming..

Happy Anniversary Dianne!!!
We got married on 11/2/95 in St Aloysious Catholic church which is next to the Sevenhill Jesuit College and winery. (they make all the catholic alter wine)..... my local church, and we had DH family priest come up here to do the service. he was stoked :)
The date was just one we came up with because DH refused to get married in spring as all his family and my folks have their anniversaries in sept or oct. We didnt want too close to christmas, or in winter, or near our birthdays which are march and april so Feb was just about the only month left!
We had a morning wedding and a buffet lunch with informal seating/standing. Everyone raved about how relaxing and enjoyable it was because the fashion at the time was sit-down formal dinners. We had THE BEST day even though it was stinking hot.
Nearly 15years later I still love my dress but the bridesmaids dresses were.. um, a bit 1990s!

My wedding day was decided long before I was even born! My mother's family had a tradition of being married on the 7th of January, I think it goes back 5 or 6 generations now! So I was married on the 7th January, 2009, it was a Wednesday for me (my mother was lucky enough to get a Sunday! ) and everyone we rang/emailed to enquire about flowers/photo's/food ALWAYS rang/emailed us back with 'you said Wednesday the 7th, is that right?' LOL!
We got married at Newstead Park in Brisbane at sunset, and then had our reception on a boat on the Brisbane River, it was beautiful with all the lights from the buildings. But the best part was jumping on our bed at the hotel with our wedding clothes on yelling 'WE GOT MARRIED!' Such a fun day :)

Happy wedding anniversary danniellabella for tuesday xx

1/2/1997 (Which was 5 years to the day from when he asked me to "go out" with him)
Launceston, Tasmania in a Church. Reception at a hotel.
Amazingly it was quite a hot day.
We had the best day !
Nearly our 13th anniversary...
-
awesome chickybabe, happy 13th wedding anniversary for the 1st :)

We got married on the 12th March 2006. Under a massive Morton Bay Fig. The only desire I had of my wedding was to get married under a tree to the fella I loved, the rest (family, friends, the dress, the food, the wine, the band etc) was a bonus.
Just remember Mummy2Chloe, that as long as he turns up you turn up and the celebrant turns up then you will get married (you can always find a few witnesses hanging around for the certificate - lol). I think a bride with a massive smile on her face is always the most beautiful thing in the room no matter what else they choose to do or have for their wedding.
Good luck!
