But then on the training DVD a former collector shared a story about being greeted at the door by a man with nothing on but a red rose in his mouth! Reassuring Census people for sure!

Love the corny training videos! i liked the goose story best.
i feel sorry for whoever gets my street. When the Jehovah's etc come round going door to door, i warn them, to choose another area, for their own safety. But i guess with the census, you can't pick and choose, everyone has to fill it out, even my very dodgy neighbours. I have sympathy for the census collector who gets my street/s (I'm on a corner of two very dodgy streets).
Actually I have a question for previous collections - in your CWL (collector work load) the red line defines your area. How do you determine who does the house on the corner of a block that joins onto another collectors area?
Also a girl I know and I happen to be doing connecting areas, my red line and her red line are in the same street - so do I do one side and she does the other or what? I will ask my area supervisor these questions when I see him tomorrow as they weren't explained at training!
good question ... I think it depended on whether the entrace was on the road you did, ITMS.
hope you got an answer today!!
So collectors, how are you all going with your delivery? I was pretty darn exhausted and sore after two solid days of delivery last weekend but finished it in one weekend, plus a little bith Friday and Monday afternoons. Last weekend was the most glorious weather and I really enjoyed being out walking in it the first part of Saturday was a bit of a hard gig as the JWs were out before me and people weren't answering their doors for a while for that reason.
Had any hairy visits or interesting customers? I've had a few rude ones as expected and a dog that seemed to want to eat me alive!
My area supervisor says me finishing in one weekend is making the other collector look bad - as the houses on the opposite side of the road - her side, don't understand why they haven't got their form yet! (He was joking).
How many ecensus takers have you all had? Out of my 380 odd homes, I had about 15 takers for the ecensus! That was not what I wanted but people still don't trust computers and I have alot of older people in my section too - even alot of the younger ones didn't want to do it online.
That's a bit of a surprise, given the pretty good uptake of the ecensus last time in the ACT. Although I can understand it if they are older and generally not as comfortable with the online world. Has anyone watched the funny animated clips on the Census youtube channel? Melrose Mews, worth a look.
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has received they group certificate or what ever they are called these days? Or do we not get one? Thanks
Yep I got mine ages ago about 2 week of July. I did prefill on etax and it came up on there too.
Just another question... I got my payg, but now Im stuck with what occupation to put it under... So what did everyone else put it under? thank you
It wasn't my primary occupation so I didn't have to put something for it - what are your options? Perhaps government worker or something?
