Trying to avoid housework
Time for a new subject, yeah?
I am masterchef

housework calls my name
but other things occupy
the mind that's waiting

Is housework the next
topic to capture our best
creative musings?

Mould and mildew grow
In my misty damp bathroom.
Oh! for sunshine there.

Moving this thread now
It belongs with poetry
It will be happy

smell of cakes baking
banana and rosewater
my mouth waters... mmmm

Well... Belly Belly
and house-keeping do not mix.
Toys strewn on the floor.

It's raining washing
weather and housework combined

lurking under the sofa
apathy guards you

brimming potty reeks
veg peelings fester softly
lazy, i surf on

Crumble in oven
Is it burned? Timer long gone.
Why am I still here!?

Still good, needs more time
Smells delicious, can not wait
to devour it

I, too, have crumble:
Apple, mixed peel and currants.
Cornflakes make great top.

baby sleeps gently,
dishes lurk ominously,
leave them till morning

to bed with a book,
soon to rise for the teething
baby alarm clock
