Default What's that writing called LOL

I used to do it all the time as a kid. You would make squares then draw lines in the square to make a letter, so a H would be a box with two vertical lines in the middle drawn from the top and bottom of the box but not meeting in the middle.

    Does that make sense.

I was doing it for the kids and cant' remember how to do a G or a Q and wanted to google it.

Sounds like some kind of bubble writing variant...probably from the eighties when everyone was thrilled by the thought of being able to write like a computer! Lol

Btw you could do g with a half line from the middle of the rhs to the centre of the square. And a diagonal line from the bottom rh corner to the middle for the q.

Eta just asked dd who says a g is done with a short line in the middle like an o, but with a halfway line going in from the lhs so you get like a lower case g. Box writing? Square writing? Cube writing?

No, she said she is still learning some of the letters and tried a few things but couldn't remember it. She said some of the kids call it ABC squared (cos they're learning all about square roots at the moment so the maths reference is cool LOL).

Would doing an opposite sided G work for the Q?
