About the weight gain... now that I think about it Aidyn was 8.6kg at 4 months. He is 9.1kg now. So for the first 4 months that would have been a gain of 2.15kg a month!!!

HI all,
Oh Pee! to have time to yourself is great. I get it in the middle of the day as Jemma and Jessica both have sleeps, Jessica about 3 hrs and Jemma at least 2 hrs and it gives me time to do things, or get online! Hopefully Ryley sleeps tonight as well, then you will have it made, night and day sleeping!
I must check my books on my kids for weight gain, I know they always put on heaps!
Yeah Ambah, I am really ****ty at Arron at the moment, everything I have said has been mighty nasty! I don't really feel bad though as he has been fishing 6 times since Jessica was born and she is only 8 weeks old, not bad Hey! He is home alot but it still doesn't seem fair, we don't do things/go places together, and he also sometimes goes to the tab for an hour and last Fri night spent an hour over having a beer with a mate, HELLO! Where is my break! Well he has the kids tomorrow and Sunday arvo so lets see how easy that is!
Any way must go, I'm cruising through the forums and having a look around, then I must hit the sack so I can be out the door by 9.30am.
See ya Michelle
Well it is 11 pm our time and Ryley is having another sleep!! I am hoping he'll sleep well tonight! He even slept at netball for half the game!
Wow.... *touch wood* this is great!!
Ambah: I just realise Aidyn is exactly 2 kilos heavier than Felix and only 2 weeks older..wow how different babies can be huh?? Can you Believe they are almost 6 mths old..I think it has been the quickest 6mths of my life!
I am going to the Dr on monday, I think he'll probably have his wee tested again, but I have a feeling the teething thing could be why he's not drinking as much..My milk supply is still great thank-god..it spurts out everywhere when he latches on for a minute then he decides it's more interesting to play with his feet! I tried a BFing necklace, but I think he's just not hungry as when he is there is NO problem!
God sleeping..Felix is sleeping HEAPS at the moment..probably as he is eating less he has more time to sleep..!
Hey Katanya, can I ask, what is a BFing necklace??
Goodluck at the Dr's on Monday, hope everything turns out to be just fine with little Felix.
Well I decided to try giving Aidyn some pureed chicken (mixed with other stuff)for the first time... and he hated it!! He retched, and then vomited it up again, poor little boy! So I think I might leave it be for another month or so...
*lol* Ambah was gonna ask the same thing
It is a necklace you wear around your neck that grabs the baby's attention to stop him/her being distracted and looking around while still having your boob in their mouth. Normally colourful and shiny to hold babys attention
Love :hbeat:
Wow, what a great idea!! I need something like that to keep Aidyn focused on his bottles, but then again its not like he has my nipple in his mouth when he swivels his head... ouch!!
3 days to go Ambah and you will be jumping ship
Love :hbeat:
2 days and 37 mins I think!!! (according to Brissy time!)
Yay!! Its such a milestone.... I also have his step 2 formula waiting, and he has just gone onto the next size nappies too...
Today he found his voice again as well... He has been v.quiet these past couple months, but all of a sudden he has started making new sounds and OMG the screeching as well.... I need new ear drums!!!
Oh yeah... he almost bit my finger off yesterday with his new little teeth!! Thats the last time I put bonjela on his gums for him, LMAO!!!!
We'll miss you Ambah!! [-X
Pee's right Ambah, we will miss you, but Pee before you know it we will be there too!
How sad! I want Jessica to stay little for a long time!
Cheers Michelle
Hehehehe!! Don't think you girls can get rid of me that easily!!! LMAO
I will still be popping back here to see how everyone's going
OMG I cannot believe Aidyn today. Yesterday I said that he had found his voice... well today he has found his voice x100!!! He was doing these ear piercing shrieks and squeals ALL day... and I suspect it was just because he enjoys the sound of his own voice!! ROFL
Can't believe how fast things are moving with him now. Seems like every day in these past 2 weeks he has mastered a new and different skill. Today he has learnt to shuffle/crawl backwards whilst he is on his belly. Normally during tummy time he will push his shoulders and head up really high, but today he kept his head down and pushed his upper body and tummy in the air!! I guess he is automatically going backwards cause his legs havent come into the equation yet. Though he is learning to lift his bum and tuck his legs under too... he just cant do both those things together yet, but at the rate he's going it looks like he could be crawling soon!! ARGH!!!
LOL Ambah
Once Aidyn starts crawling you'll really know he's around. It's so hard cause we are always so eager for the next milestone but mostly wish they didn't do it quite so soon. Jemma is the only one of mine that crawled on her knees at 6 months, the older two commando crawled with their arms fro 7 to 9 months and then only crawled properly for about 6 weeks before they walked. We tried so hard to get them up on their knees but they did it their way. LOL it was cute though!
Best wishes Michelle
Ok, here's my ranting & raving for the week...
Just thought I'd add that I was SPEWING at DP this afternoon... He went to a mates place at midday to pick up lawnmower we are buying off him. He said he would be home by 2pm.... Well... I called him at 4 (pretty ****ed off) he admitted he was having a few beers but would leave right then. So I called him at 4.30, paranoid that he was too drunk to drive and would get pulled over or something, but it turns out he STILL hasn't left. I then called him at 5.15, and he STILL hadn't left, so I lost it and started screaming at him, so he hung up on me. GRRRRRRRRR. I was absolutely FUMING with rage (and fluctuating hormones) by this stage. And he did not end up getting home unti 6.30.
My whole Sunday was wasted and ruined because of him!!! There was so much stuff like packing & cleaning etc that I had planned to get done, which I couldnt because I had to watch & play with Aidyn.
It just reeeaaally annoyed me, cause I only get help with looking after Aidyn on the weekends, yet DP may as well have gone to work today, thats how much he helped out.
Not that I dont want him to have fun with his friends or whatever, but if he does, he needs to let me know beforehand, or at least have the courtesy to call and say he will be late...
Ok... sorry to rave on like that, just wanted to get it off my chest!!!
All is well now btw, he came home very apologetic (luckily), and I made him go buy me a block of chocolate and forgave him in the end, LOL
Well it has been a while since I posted here but I have been reading!!!
We are having a worrying time with Asha atm ... she isn't drinking her milk!!! Friday she had 260 mls in total, yesterday about 300 mls and today about 300 again!!! If she continues tomorrow I will be taking her to the doctors. I think she may be teething but I don't remember Emma & Jack going off their food when they were teething. She has also been doing bright yellow poos and a lot of them so maybe she has a tummy bug!!! It is so hard to not know what is going on. Hopefully tomorrow she will be better but my guess is a trip to the doctors will be in order. She is her usual happy self and loves blowing bubbles (hence her new nickname is Bubbles!). She is sleeping a lot more than usual too. Some answers would be good.
Emma & Jack had a great day at teeball yesterday ... Jacks team (The Kangaroos) won their 3rd game in a row 13 to 11. Emma's team (The Kings) was well and truly beaten 21 to 9. I love how much confidence it has given Emma who is not very sporty at all and she has improved so much in a short space of time. I really must remember to take the video camera one day so I can send it to Mum & Dad to see.
Back to work tomorrow ... assuming everyone wakes up happy & healthy! I really look forward to my work days, the kids are happy to have me back (which is really nice) and it is a nice break from looking after my own cherubs.
Well I need to get some ironing done so had better go get it done and then get to bed ... also have to check my hair for nits GRRRRR (Emma has had them and I had to do her hair again tonight).
Cheers
Grrr at your DP Ambah. Sometimes i think guys forget that we need them on the weekends for some sanity. It sounds like Aidyn isnt too far away from moving all by himself!!
I had a great weekend. Dh and i spent the whole morning today (while Ryley was sleeping) laying in our pjs in bed and talking. I hadnt done that for AGES with him and i didnt realise that i missed it! It reminded me why i married him and how much i love him.
Ryley has been awesome- (touch wood)- sleeping great a little grumpy at times but then he burps and spews and all is happy again! I think he'll have to go onto solids early. 180mls doesnt seem to be enough anymore! he isnt even falling asleep eating as often now!! Well i have been on my no-chocolate diet now for 4 weeks! ARRGGHH it is hard!! but i need to get over this hurdle before i start eating and exercising like i used to. I got a little too used to lots of choc while preg!! and now i am 10ks heavier.
Good to hear from you Kelly. I hope little Asha is okay and it is just teething. Good Luck with your days at school!!
I hope Christy is having a good holiday!!
