Hi everyone ...
Just a quick post ... my baby girl is one today :cry: She has had a great day and got lots of presents. Tomorrow is her birthday party and we have been busy cleaning and organising today. Still more to do in the morning but mostly organised. Busy day tomorrow and my Mum is here (YAY) so not much time to post. Promise to catch up asap!

Kathryn I never thought Felix would walk independantly, he just seemed really happy dragging me around (although I was getting sick of it) he threw several tantrums at playgroup the previous week and everyone was asking what was wrong with him, I just ahd this feel that he was frustrated because he was the only one not walking independantly at the steiner playgroup he goes to and it motivated him to take a risk and walk on his own..within day or two he tsarted walking more and more..and now EVERYWHERE!
Michelle when are you coming up? if I am not working perhaps we can come too?
Anyhow I had a shocker of a night with felix and the girl I look after Felix was awake every hour and she woke up at 3am and turned on the light and signed "shower" to me..hmm..not impressed..so here I am up at the crack of dawn on BB while Felix is asleep and she is eating breakfast! Anyhow good day ahead..Matilda's party yay!
Hoping that Asha and Matilda have lovely parties today!
Katanya- bummer about the unbroken sleep and early morning. How often do you look after the girl and how old is she? atm the dates are 19th Aug-22nd Aug, Friday to Monday. It would be great if you were free. My sis is going to be very surprised when I tell her we need to meet you guys LOL. I may end up knowing more people in Qld than she does LOL.
Kathryn- jemma is2 and 4mths and hasn't had a haircut yet, I didn't actually want her to have a fringe but it is starting to get unmanageable, she also has the gorgeaous curls in the bottom of her hair which is baby hair and once it's cut she will have straight hair like the rest of us, poor dear. But I am going to have to bite the bullet very soon, cos she's starting not to be able to see. I have put it off longer though cos both MIL and my Mum keep telling me I have to so I don't, just an attitude thing LOL
Lucy- I got confused and answered your post from here in the vic members thread, oh well at least you'll still read it although everyone will wonder what I'm talking about and think I've lost the plot. LOL Bad luck.
Better move along, lots to read up on.

Well yesterday it was so gloomy and rainy (the greyest it has ben in months) so the location of Matilda's party was moved indoors. We still had a nice time, and it was great to catch up with Katanya and Felix again as well!
How did Matilda go for the rest of the arvo/evening Christy? It must have been such a big day for her!
Michelle - I think meeting in the city would be good... or perhaps somewhere pretty close anyway like Southbank, which hopefully will be pretty central for us all to get to.
Maybe we should start up a new thread in the Member Meet ups about it? We are planning on having a BB meet in late July, which I now may not be able to make, depending on when my sister books my tickets for me to go up to Townsville to visit her for a week.
Poor Aidyn is a bit sick atm... he has had a nasty cough since yesterday. But no fever or anything thank goodness. And luckily he didn't cough at all when he was at Matildas party, LOL.
It seems to be worse when he is lying in bed, and sometimes it makes him cry, which means I have been up half the night.
Man I hate it when they are sick... I feel soooo bad for him. :crossfingers: he will get over it very quickly.

hey everyone again, yes we had a great time at matilda's party, got to see where Matilda and Aidyn go to playgroup too as that is where the party was shifted too..hope Aidyn feels better Ambah?..it was so cute yesterday with our 3 little Belly Belly kids, they were all walking around exploring madly, Matilda is the best walker of course but Aidyn and Felix are starting to catch her up in the activity stakes!!
Matilda (and Christy & Pete) were great hosts, it was a loverly casual atmosphere and watching Matilda open her presents was great fun!
Felix and I had the best sleeping in day, I moved the TV into the bedroom and watch video all day, up here on the mountain the fog has set in and I didn't see anypoint in leaving the house! Felix even had 2 sleeps during the day!
Hope everyone elses days was just as relaxing..
Sounds like a great day katanya! We were knackered last night....Matilda was still going strong at 7.30pm but we were desperate to get her to sleep once we got home...whew...I am glad we got everything over & done with at once, the dedication & birthday went well. Matilda was a trooper & it was hilarious how social she is...just going from person to person at her party...
Work was full on today, but thankfully I get to come on here now while Matilda has a late nap \:D/
Glad to hear that she was so great all night Christy, I think she must have wanted her birthday celebrations to continue on a good note! I think you are going to have some quite big birthdays for your social little girl, she was amazing the way she actully went up to every guest and interacted with them, and each new baby that came she launched herself on them for a game..she's such a gorgeous girl!
Christy so glad that the party went well even if the venue had to change.And I can just picture Matilda stroling around, socialising, how cute. Sounds like the 3 bb friends had a lovely time. Shame that kids get so up on days like that cos when you are buggered they seem to still want to go LOL.
Ambah, that sounds good to me, I have been into the city bf and I think I went to Southbank, my sis will know. Hope Aidyn gets better soon, I am with you, it is very hard when they are sick.
Katanya- it's nice to have a slow day every now and then, we often have pajama days here but I don't actually join in, I cannot get moving if I don't have a shower and get dressed.
Not much happening here atm, just trying to post in every forum LOL. Joshua is getting sick and is right now crying, I can't work out why as he won't tell me. He may have to stay home from school tomorrow.
Anyway have a great day everyone, hope QLD has better weather ATM as Melb is very cold and wet.

MIL has now gone back to the UK and Kimberley is a different child already she was so good for me today she even went to bed tonight with no problems.
I have to try and get her out of thinking she will get a toy each time we go to the shops as MIL was buying her a new toy each time.
Will catch up when i have more time.
Thank goodness you are MIL free Michelle. Good news that Kimberly is behaving. Don't orry she will be fine and forget asll aobut the pressies once she doesn't have them anymore.

Great to hear the party went well Christy !!! Sounds like Matilda had a blast.
Not much going on here at the moment. It has rained for the last 24hrs without much break. Not complaining too loudly though cause everything was so dry so we really did need it. I even brought Kam's bike inside so he wasn't tempted to go outside to ride it in the rain lol
Worse thing is trying to get clothes dry cause we don't have a clothes dryer. So everything is on the air horse next to the heater.
Lachlan is pushing around his push along walker heaps now and is nearly running with it, so his confidence is building more and more.

Kathryn- bugger about not having a drier, I don't know if I could survive without mine LOL. I do have lots of stuff on my clothes horse constantly and everyone I talk tolately says their house is a chinese laundry atm, so we all seem to be in the same position.
Josh did stay home but I am sending him tomorrow, they finish up in Friday so he really should go cos it is his testing week.
Everyone else is fine, except it was pj day again. LOL Saves on washing clothes, should do it all the time I reckon. I wasn't in my Pjs though.

Hello girls...well we've had a tough day here. Matilda was fine in the morning, but we had her immunisations appt today. And I've always been a bit hesitant about giving some of the injections, I've made decisions about them but just this week found out I loose the child care benefit from the government if we don't give the majority of the needles. So we had half done today and then we'll have a think about the MMR one. Anyway...without a debate on immunisations 8-[ Matilda had a tough time of it. She went absolutely hysterical...her 6 months ones she laughed at the nurse, today the nurse had to take one needle out as Matilda had bent it by being so violent. We had two people holding down a one year old and I put my foot down and said we'd come back in a month. I just couldn't watch them try for a third time to get a needle in her. Then we had to wait around for 15 minutes while Matilda was hysterical and we had to stand outside the Dr's office. Then when we were allowed to go it took me 20 minutes just to get her into the car seat. Poor sausage...she slept for over an hour afterwards which was great. URGH its so hard to see them go through this!
So tonight we had dinner together of fried rice, which she loved! And a bath and she was exhausted by 7pm so in bed! I'm just going to get some work done here & hopefully have a quiet night :D

Oh Christy poor Matilda, I hope she feels better tomorrow, and that you do too. When your child is upset then so are you unfortunately you feel what they do. Hopefully the next time won't be so bad. I haven't had any major probs with any of mine and their immunisations.
