Phernergan actually kept my kids awake, poor me. My cousin swore by it though.
Cheers Michelle
Yeah Michelle it doesn't do a great deal for me either...... anyway speaking of sleep being a very long day :)
Night Night, don't leg the bed bugs bite.

Tanya, Rianna too, is Little, she's just over 10 kg, and only 72.8cm tall (short) and her b'day is sept 21st so only a month older than Emily, but again heads big (top 10th) so got the brains, just not huge! I actually had to take her to the paediatrician for "failure to thrive" but he says she's fine, just a wee one ( we call her little flea)
Oh dear! BB went down and I lost my post, why didn't I copy it ? I hate that.
Vanita- I was saying that Rhianna is gorgeous and I think little flea is a great nickname, hope she likes it if it sticks LOL.
I had a great day today at the VIC lunch and it was great meeting the girls, I think it was Vanita and Lulu from this forum. Hope you girls had a good day. Vanita I hope the day off work was good too, you deserve a little rest I say, I think you work really hard!
Jemma was really good today I didn't hardly see her she was so busy playing, and all the kids were really well behaved.
Have a good night everyone.
Cheers Michelle
Well, we had a busy day yesterday with Playgroup in the morning, and Aidyns immunisations in the arvo, and my Dads birthday dinner in the evening.
Aidyn was so buggered from playgroup that he ended up having 2x2hr naps during the day which is awesome.
I started freaking out a little when we went to the Drs... I had forgotten how guilty I feel every time Aidyn needs his shots. And the older he gets, the harder it is for me I think... cause he trusts me so much.
He did well though, and only cried a little... the Dr is doing it in 2 lots... he had the Meningacoccyl and Pnuemococcal ones done yesterday, and will be having his MMR and hib next week.
Can someone tell me what 'hib' is? It is not Hepatitis B, cause that is also a seperate thing on the list...
I forgot to ask the Dr to weigh him though... last time was at 8.5 months, and he was 10.8kg... so by now I think he would be at least 13kg. I'm worried about him being too overweight, but I still think he is just very sotcky and heavy, cause he has definately thinned out over the past few months and is getting much taller...
Its funny isnt it, no matter whether they are big or small we still tend to worry!
Happy 13 months for yesterday Lachlan! :)
Hib = Haemophilus influenzae b
Hib is not the flu but a bacteral infection. It can be a cause of meningitis in infants and children as well as more benign infections. Adults are not without risk from this illness especially asplenic (no spleen) individuals.

Happy Mothers Day girls.
I woke this morning to Lachlan having Andrew's cold full on #-o so going to be a fun day dragging him off to lunch etc. Covered him in baby balsam this morning to try and relive his symptoms a bit. Poor little mite. Hope everyone else's day started better ;)
Love
HI everyone
Hope Mothers Day was good for all!
Hugs Ambah for Aidyns injections, at least they are spreading them out a bit, although it won't make you stop feeling bad about it.
My Mother's day was ok, except that Arron had injured his knee at footy on Sat and he was dying. So you can imagine who did everything. Oh well, maybe I'll get a rest next year LOL!
Cheers Michelle
My mothers day was okay, tiring cause we had to go everywhere ie my grandmas (where my mum was) and then andrews mum. Andrew and his mum had a bit of an argument over Kameron.....she was accusing Kameron of swapping his toy cars with her own that she had there. We tried to tell her it wasn't possible since Kam doesn't take cars with him, but of course we have no idea what we were talking about and that he obviously does it when we are not looking ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) I ended up saying "who gives a toss they are just cars for crying out loud"
Lachlan still has a head cold as well so he was a bit grumpy all day yesterday.
Love
Yeah I know what you mean about mothers day Jillian. I don't really care if I don't get anything (I didn't this year) as long as I at least get a card. I would rather to get something that the boys have made or gone and chosen themselves then it will mean more iykwim. I did say I was getting my BellyBelly t-shirts as my mothers day present to me, but that bit me in the butt cause Kel doesn't have them yet lol.
Love
Kathryn- bummer about the silly argument, sometimes mum's/MIL's get so annoying about nothing, I get it too sometimes.
Jillian- so good that your DH has finally got the message and so glad you had a lovely day.
The best present I got was Josh's box of love and like I said it made me cry as he explained that he loves me and the love is inside.
Cheers Michelle
Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to hear you all had a great mothers day, mine was great too, I didnt have to lift a finger Dp did everything, it was great.
We had Nick at the hospital at 5.30am on Thursday though.
A couple of weeks ago, he managed to get hold of a cotton bud and stuck it in his ear and perferated his ear drum, we took him to the Dr and he gave him some antibiotics incase he got an infection.
We thought it was fine, but on Wednesday it started bleeding again, so i booked him into the Dr again but couldnt get in till the next day so i just kept an eye on it.
Well Thursday morning at 5am he started screaming in pain so me and Dp ran in and tried to settle him and i could smell something really foul, at first i thought it was his breath, but i soon realised it was coming from his ear.
So Dp raced him to the local hospital to get it checked and they sent us to Flinders to see an ear nose and throat specialist.
It turns out he has a massive infection and is now on steroid and antibotic eardrops to try and clear it up, we have to go back to see the specialist in 4 weeks to get it checked.
Poor little might, until Thursday he hadn't even complained about it, but i think it has contributed alot to his recent moodswings.
Sorry for the long post 8-[
Take care
Oh no @ Nick !!!!! I caught Kameron going to do that a few weeks ago so he got told off and now I have them up with the medicine stuff. Get into anything don't they lol.
Lachlan is slowly getting better from his cold, he is only getting better cause he has passed his germs onto me and his older brother !! He is quite funny at the moment I still have him in his sleeping bag from bed to keep him warm before I get him dressed and he is looking for his feet. Too cute.
Awww @ the box of love Michelle that is so gorgeous. I would have cried at that too.
Love
Naomi- how terrible for Nick, I hope he feels better soon, I am always telling Jemma not to touch the cotton buds, we keep them up high but as soon as i get them down to use them she is trying to get into them. Little bugger!
Kathryn- bummer about the colds, Jemma and Jessica both have runny noses at the moment but I think Jessica's is to do with her teeth, although it will probably turn into a cold anyway.
Jillian- I think it has something to do with the name Joshua. Our Joshua was terrible from the time he turned 2 until present day. We both were quite happy to have a 3rd girl as we thought maybe it would be easier not having to have another Joshua. It is really hard to get them to listen to anything at his age anyway, my mum was the same with my brother, and I think in the end she just prayed that he would get through unscathed LOL. He split his head open at least 4 times, and almost killed himself doing an evil kinevil bike stunt without his helmet. Drs told her another inch and he would have been killed instantly. He also climbed a 6 ft fence at 2 and was going to cross the massively busy main street of our suburb so that he could visit me at school, which is why mum thinks she had my sister early LOL. Good luck is all I can offer you cos we are still struggling and Josh will be 6 in July.
Got our TV unit last night and it is set up in the lounge, with the new couch and the unit it looks like a different room. Now I have loads of reorganising to do to move the other tv unit and set up the study the way I want it. That's tomorrows project.
I finally have my gastroscopy booked for Tuesday 17th and can't wait to hae it over and done with. I hope it finds the problem and I can get the right treatment.
Have a lovely day girls
Michelle
Makes mental note - if have another child and is boy don't name Joshua.... LMAO ;)
Not feeling too bad with the headcolds, has developed into anything too major, just makes ya feel lethargic during the day but not really sneezing or blowing my nose too much so that is good.
Not much to report this end, Lachlan has been pushing our kitchen chairs around and walking behind them but wont walk behind the push along walkers etc yet. No rush to have him walking though he can take as long as he likes hahahaha. I keep saying he will walk at 16mths, as he has done everything 3mths before Kameron did when it comes to major milestones like crawling etc, and Kam walked 1 week off being 19mths. Will see if my prediction is right ;) 3mths to go heheheh
Love
Hiya girls,
Just filling in the time now before DP gets home from work as we have to rush straight off to the Drs for Aidyns 2nd lot of needles.... No sign of DP yet though, and I have a feeling we are going to be quite late. #-o
I am having a terrible time atm... I pulled/tore a muscle in my shoulder 3 days ago... and it hurts like buggery. The pain radiates all the way from my neck to my left upper arm, and then down my left side and across my stomach muscles too... :( I have no idea how I did it, but I assume it is from picking up my heavy, heavy boy, cause everytime I pick him up now it hurts so much that it almost makes me cry. Am going to have to beg the Dr at Aidyns appt to give a me a script for some painkillers or something. I was up at 5am this morning cause of it, and felt like I was going to vomit or pass out, thats how much it hurt.
Anyway, sorry for the huge whinge... DP isn't being all that sympathetic, so I figured I would pour out my woes here, LOL
Kat - I hope you and Lachie are both feeling much better now from your colds.
Noami - poor little Nick, that must have been so painful for him! to the little guy... hope he is feeling better now?!
More personals later, DP just drove up.
Oh Ambah- you poor thing, hope you start to feel better and the Dr gave you something worth having. You know you can count on us to give you hugs and sympathy LOL. Also hope Aidyn's needles went well.
Kathryn I can relate to the no need to walk early thing, mine walked though at 11 months and one at 12 months. I am praying Jessica gets past 10 mths, cos at 7 mths she was already cruising the furniture and I am getting concerned that my baby will grow up quicker than ever. *sob*
Anyway I have the best study in Australia after spending the day uncluttering and cleaning away a tonne of dust. Boy it gets dusty behind/underneath fixed furniture. I am tired but satisfied.
Have a lovely day
Michelle
Thanks Michelle :)
Well done on getting your study all cleaned out and arranged... want to come over and do ours now? j/k ;)
The Dr gave me a script for Panadeine Forte... so I was planning on writing a long post here, but it has made me so tired that I am going to hit the sack now I think.
Aidyn's needles went ok... he carried on screaming quite a bit more this time than he did lastweek. Probably because he was overtired already, poor little bubba. Now we just have one more pneumococcal shot left, and that will be it for ages.
We got him weighed, and he is only 12.2kg! Which means he has only gained 1.4kg in the past 4 months! But he is still above the 97th percentile for his weight. He is about 79cm tall, which puts him in the 70th percentile for height I think?
Argh... sooo tired, must go to bed now... nighty night xox
Ambah, I hope the shouldre heals quickly, its hard when you've got a little one to pick up too!! Aidyn is a lovely weight, they slow down now, But Rianna is only 10 kg ( 19 months) so he's on track!!!
I should really get Lachlan weighed one of these days lmao.
Ouch at the shoulder Ambah !!!
Lachlan is fast asleep had playgroup this morning and then we had a meeting at the local day care centre as well with the kindy directors. So poor Lach was knackered.
Wow at tidying all your study Michelle. I wish I had energy to to stuff like that, dusting is way down on my list of priorites rofl. But I had made banana cake before we went to playgroup at 9am this morning, done the dishes and hung out a load of washing 8-[
Anyway should go and find the other boy some lunch.
Love
Kathryn- I admire the cake baking at 9am. I actually grabbed a packet cake mix out of the cupboard at about 10.30 this morning, put it in the oven and was so annoyed when i turned it out cos the bum stuck in the cake time AGAIN! It always happens to me. How do you grease your tins? It is a non-stick pan too. GRRR! Then realised I can't ice it anyway cos not enough butter so jemma and I ate the bit that was stuck and we now have a mangled cake. I really wanted to make scones but no butter so...have to get some when I pick up the kids.
Cheers mcihelle
Rofl @ the bum sticking michelle. We use bilo cooking spray to grease our tins. But no matter how much i put on it still has a little bit that sticks. Not heaps though. So I know where you are coming from.
Everyone going well here, went up to Munno Para shopping centre with a friend this morning as she wanted me to check out some stuff for that we could use for playgroup that she spotted up there.
Apart from that not a great deal happening. Lach is now down to 1 nap a day I think. He definitely isnt wanting to go at 9am anymore (not that he can 3 days a week anyway when we are at playgroup), so he has been going at 11.30ish and sleeping through lunch but then that is all he has then till it is time for bed at 7pm.
At least he is sleeping in again till 7am now and not waking up at 6am :D
Love
just visiting... :)
Just wanted to say I put a sheet of baking paper down on the base of my cake tins & then spray & I have no bum left in :)
LMAO @ all the bumless cakes around Australia :P
Love
LOL.... I think we will be saving that saying for a while, Thanks Michelle :D

OMG @ Felix being 1 already !!!!!
Welcome about Katanya. Great to have you with us.
Love
Welcome katanya and Felix. Had a looka t the pics and I must say Felix is looking a little plumper than he has previously which is wonderful!
Now you girls- I am going to have to cry the grease proof paper, Christy do you just cut a piece to fit the base or do you have it going up the sides too. I just want to get this right. I do use cheap baking spray but I lose almost half the cake. Youe should have seen the end result, it was terrible, butwe still ate it and MIL had a piece and didn't say anything, she mustn't have noticed. Still didn;'t make the scones, maybe I'll do that tomorrow.
I had my long awaite gastroscopy today and it founf NOTHING! which is good and bad, cos it means I still don't have an answer, it must mean I have gastric reflux cos I didn't have a prob when I was on meds for this so.... I need to see a dr in 2 wks for follow up. BNut there was no ulcer or irritation etc. I was quite a bit relieved but still sort of annoyed. At least I know that I don't have cancer or something like that, which was my greatest fear, albeit an irrational thought.
Anyway hope everyone is well, wherever they are, haven't been around much you girls in here
must move on
best wishes Michelle

Michelle I cut it to fit the base and I leave the sides and do the knife thing around the sides to get it out nicely....well thats the idea anyway :)
Hi Guys, I'm new to this tread...Looking forward to chatting about our little ones and getting to know you all..
Take Care XxX
Welcome M4L, hope you enjoy chatting to us about your little ones escapades, My little one was born September 2003, and is a treasure, its such an interesting time, Rianna seems to learn a new word, or "trick" every day, and is a joy to observe ( even with the tantrums #-o )
Michelle, I only ever use the home brand non stick spray, do you put it into a hot oven, and does your oven cook evenly, coz I had an old oven in the previous house that did that all the time, and in this house I use the exact same pans, but nothing sticks! So just a thought, could be the oven not the pans.
Bummer about the gastroscopy not showing anyhting, but as you say at least your not dying of cancer. Have you seen any "alternative" typr people to do with this?? my mums reflux is shocking, when her back is out. What about natral therapies, ie vitamen supplemants etc, dont know but worth a look see hey.
Rianna is just sooooo cute ATM she's parotting most things you say to her, she said tonight before I left for work " I love you too" ( not so clear, but you could hear it!!) I t makes me really mushy when they start to "really" interact with the family, like she comes up to you,a nd says "up mummy"
And she's always putting her hand up and saying "igh 5" soo cute!
Hi Karen, Welcome to the clan :D
Well I have some news. Andrew was holding lachlan steady up on his feet on the floor last night and Lachlan wasn't paying any attention so Andrew let go and he stood there by himself for about 5 seconds before realising daddy didn't have hold of him \:D/
Love
WTG Lachlan =D>
Not long now and he will be walking.
Kimberley is being really good with her new baby brother. She hates to hear him cry and looks so worried. She had a restful night last night and slept for a while in our bed.
Great to hear Kimberley has accepted him okay. It is always a worry when you bring a new one home.
Love
Welcome Mummy4life and Samuel!
Christy I will try the circle and hopefully it works. Thanks!
Vanita- My oven is really crappy so maybe it's not my fault! If I had let it cook any longer it would have been burnt though. The answer is i need a new oven! SOunds great but I know Arron will not agree to a new oven bc my cakes don't cook properly LOL. Maybe in a few yrs time.
I too love when they say those gorgeous little things, it just melts your heart doesn't it, *sigh* that's why I don't want them to grow up cause the 10 yr old says WHATEVER! And nothing nasty is good but where that leaves me I don't know. I am going to talk to the chinese therapy man when I get my backtreatment on the 26th about some concoction for the stomach so we'll see if that helps, so thanks for the idea. And my back is very out at the moment and has been for ages so maybe the trick is to fix the back.
Kathryn- how clever is Lachlan. Did he get a fright when he realised he was solo?
Michelle- little Alexander is gorgeous , congrats again and glad to hear Kimberly is good with him. I found Jemma to be the same when Jessica came, she is starting to do things to her now and Jemma is 2+3mths and Jessica is 8 1/2 mths. She was trying to pick her up the other day. After all she thinks she's a big girl.
Anyway house to clean and nobody to do it but me, sadly.
See ya
Michelle
Saying yesterday that Kimberley is good with Alex well we found our first problem last night she screamed and cried when i went to put him to bed after a feed and then she did the same today he was sleeping in his bed and she got so upset. I think she is only doing this when she is tired.
Anyone else have the same kind of problem ?
