I`m glad everyone agrees with me re Matthew being a half Kiwi, not sure if Mark is ever going to be convinced LOl Fi that enna`s going to have a kiwi accent, I know Matthew will be a bit confused with my accent, even though I`ve been here for 25 years I still have a slight kiwi accent, guess it`s becuase I started school in NZ.
Tanya - I know what you mean by being clucky, I`ve been that way for a while, I`m with you about Bfing stuffing around my cycles, i should have been due for AF on Monday just gone yet I think I ovulated over the weekend, so I`m very confused. Sorry to hear Violet is waking at night again.
Dinky - Have a great time away and Hayley sounds like she`s coming along nicely.
Nat - Hope Jeff is feeling better soon.
Nell - I hope Matty feels better soon and good luck with your teeth today icky.
Fi - Yay at the Bding are you all set to give Jenna a little baby brother or sister? I`m like you not sure how I`ll cope with 2 little ones but I`m sure once we`re both in that situation we`ll be fine. Happy 4 months to Jenna.
Deb - Like the other have said Gabby looks like a healthy, happy, content little girl and I`m sure she`s not starving and if she was she`d let you know by screaming down the neighbourhood, when I go to the mchn I always listen with only half an ear open LOL I know how some mothers must get so confused some of the things she has told me is absolutely rubbish. Keep your chin up your doing a great job.
Michelle - Yay at the 10 hrs sleep but what a shame Kimberley`s sleep didn`t fall into place.
Bec - LOL at buying Eliza a stack hat.
Sarah - you`ve certainly got a chubby boy there
Trish - yay at the casual job, thats fantastic
Sorry girls have to go Matthew`s calling for his din dins
-
Just letting you all know I have finally put some more pics of Violet on her site :D
Dee, great to hear form you, how is your sweet little boy doing?
Alecia is going wiht her Nan (my Mum) to see the lion king tomorrow... I have just relised that there is a bag of her clothes still sitting on hte lounge floor!! Wato was supposed to take them into Shep with him to drop them off to her at school!! #-o
Tanya
-
Fi, yay on a bit of bedroom action. Good to hear that it was pain free too. That's what has been putting me off it, oh and the lack of sleep :)
Dink, hope you guy's have a great holiday and come back well rested.
Tanya, Alecia is just going to love her bday present. Joel would love me forever if I brought him Simple Plan tix. Only problem is I wouldn't be able to go - Tehya still won't take a bottle. Sorry to hear that Violet was up again last night too.
Nat, don't you just love those pupil free days. I call them the kids flexy days. Mine usually have them the first day back of tem so it's just another holiday day for them. I hope that Jeff is feeling better soon. I think I'm going to have to restrain myself from buying the products. Atleast this way I get to see all of the new stuff as it comes in.
Nell, I hope you go ok today getting your teeth out. My turn next Monday for the Dentist. If you have horror stories hide them from me ok ;)
Deb, hope you girls have a fun time at MG this morning. Of course Gab was asleep when it was time to go. I think they just know somehow. And remember no doubting those bb's of yours. Their doing a great job.
Sarah, I wanted to get one of the maxi rider seats for Noah but Mark brought a cheaper booster seat. I didn't realise that you could use them for a bub so little. Do they recline at all? Zander is just compact, thats all :) Mates rates at the scrap shop hey. Even I don't get a discount atm. I wonder if that wil be a perk working there :-k
Took Tehya to the Dr's again this morning just to get her cold checked out. Afterall this is how it all started last time and she ended up with Pneumonia. Her chest is clear atm as is her nose, just clear a runny and thats' what is causing the cough. I also asked him about her hair - yes this is the 3rd Dr I've asked about it. Finally someone agrees with me and suggested that she goes to a Paediatric dermatologist. She has an appointment 2 days after we get out of Tresillian. It's going to cost us another $110. Tresillian is $180, looks like a very expensive week for us. Atleast I can get half of the Paed's fee back through Medicare.
I have Joel home from school still. What a pain in the butt that is. I swear I have never seen a kid make as much mess as he does. Oh the joy's of teenage boys........
Take care
Trish

Thanks everyone for the welcome.
Last night Alex slept for 12hrs \:D/
Took Alex to the CYN today and he now weighs 6.230kg and length 59.5.
He put on 540gs in 2 weeks.
Dinky - Have a great holiday :)
Dee - How is Matthew's head today ??
I'll be back later to catch up some more.
-
Wow Michelle!! I think Violet only weighs that much!! He is doing really well isn't he!! Esp considering he was early!!
Trish, if oyu live in Melb I would take Joel... I am sure he'd love it!! The tix aren't that good, but it's better than none :)
Tanya
-
Dinky - hope you have a great time on your holiday!!
Tanya - Alecia is just gonna love those tickets!! Yay 4 surprising her by just turning up to the concert. You sneaky thing! Violet's pictures are soooo cute! I love one of the ones where she is sitting up and laughing - the one where she looks all cheeky and trying to hide her face. Very cute!
Dee - I don't think Matthew will be confused by your accent at all. After all, the aussie and kiwi accents aren't all that different except for a few words (I know that my step family can't tell them apart... although they aren't a good example because they also say there is no difference between an english accent and an aussie accent... hmmm).
Trish - good to hear that Tehya's chest is clear and that you will finally be able to get her hair checked out. Nice and expensive for you!
Michelle - yay for the 12 hour sleep! I take it you got a decent sleep too or did Kimberley make it difficult? Wow @ his weight. He has well and truely passed Gabby. She hasn't even hit the 6kg mark (and I was wondering why her nappies were too big for her... they are the snugglers ones from 6kgs.. ah well!).
MG was good. Gabby woke up at about 10:30am so we were only a little bit late. I tried to feed her there but she wasn't that interested. I did the groceries afterwards then she had a feed when we got home (a much better one). She's in bed now.. the poor little mite was worn out because she had been up for 3 hours. Neil was home and, after I wrapped her, I faced her to him from across the room and she started giggling and talking to him. It was so cute! She was chatting to him in a way that she never chats to me. It was nice - a daddy/daughter type thing.
-
Hi guys :)
How's everyone doing these days?..... guess I should go back for the last 9 pages and see, huh :)
Deb... sorry to hear that you're having milk supply dramas. I'm sure if Gabby seems happy and is still putting on a bit of weight you can't be doing her any harm. Hopefully you'll have a big burdt of production soon and she'll put on weight like crazy :)
Tanya.. congrats on the job :) It's gotta feel good to get out a bit and do something different for a while... and get paid for it ;) It's great that you can bring Violet too....may as well train her up young!
Sarah...glad to see Zander is keeping up the trend of growing bubs :) I'm, sure that he'll have a growth spurt soon too, so don't give up on the idea of a pro basketball career for him ;)
Trish....bugger at Tehya being sick again.. poor little mite hasn't had the best run of things lately. I hope that the specialist can shed some new light on her hair for you too.
Fi... I know what you mean about finding time to post... there isn't enough time in the day, and by the time I remember to post, I've usually forgotten how to speak coherently anyway :) I stopped changing Bas's nappy for his nightime feed too as it would wake him up too much.. that's where you really see the difference between Huggies and the rest! Glad it's helping Jenna to settle though :)
Umm...I know I've forgotten heaps of you guys...
oh, Welcome Michelle and Alex!! It only seems like the other day I was reading your birth noticed!... although with how often I get on here, it probably was ;)
Nat, Nell, Scarlett, Dee, Dinky.. Hi to you guys and hope all your mini people are doing well :)
Things are pretty good here. Bas is sitting up!!! He still leans forward a bit, and occasionally flops over to the side when he's reaching for something, but he can sit on his mat and play with his toys without having me hold him up! It's very exciting :) He's soooo desperate to crawl too... he gets so frustrated when something is out of his reach and he kicks his legs around and digs his toes into the floor and lifts his bum up and then chucks a tanty ;) He's decided that he's going to have a cranky patch when he goes to bed, but he's usually settled and fast asleep by about 9ish.. so I can deal with the occasional scream fits between 7.30 and 9.
I start back at work on September 1st, and I'm not looking forward to it :( It's only for 3 mornings a week.. but I don't want to miss out on anything! The money will definitely come in handy though... the last couple of months have been a bit tough, but that's what we get for going out and buying a bigger house!
Oh well.. enough babble from me... back in a month for another installment of life at our house :) (hopefully it won't actually be a month though...)
Gonna go try to put up some more pics on my website... I got some really cute ones the other day, but the stupid program to get them off the camera is playing up...so I hope it works so I can get them up!
-
Zola great to hear from you, sound like Bas is still doing wonderfully :)
BTW, Trish is the one working, not me... but I have been looking for work tho 8-[
Tanya
-
sorry Tanya.....somewhere in my muddled up head I knew that.... I just got a teensy bit confused.... must be the whole "T" name thing.. sorry!! Hopefully something will come up for you soon :)
Go Trish!! ;)
-
Zola - good to hear from you, matey!! WOO HOO @ Bas sitting up! OMG.... it feels like just yesterday that he was born!! What a clever little chappy. LOL @ mixing up Trish and Tanya... I think I used to do that early days too 8-[ And I also mixed up Dinky and Scarlett (I called Emily a different name.... very nordy of me!!). Still... with baby brains, anything can happen!! ;) It must be a scary thought going back to work but I am sure you will be fine. Bas will probably do so well that you will wonder what all the fuss was about! Good to hear you are all going fantastically tho :)
I just tried to give Gabby 4 BF's in 2 hours, LOL. Do you think that will boost my supply?? The last 2 feeds weren't very successful... she was just over it and tired. I may have to have a "BF holiday" one day next week where we just lay in bed and do nothing but rest and feed. Sounds good! Might do it tomorrow... LOL.
-
Zola, yay on Bas nearly sitting up. LOL @ getting Tanya and me mixed up. I was reading it thinking, Hmm is Tanya going back to work too?? 8-[ I was pretty sure that you had us mixed up though. Hope it doesn't take you another month to get back on here. Fingers crossed that all things go smoothly for you going back to work too.
Tanya, thanks for that offer, shame I'm not closer hey. Joel's bday is in Oct too. I agree with Deb too, Violets new pics are gorgeous.
Deb, LOL at having a BF holiday tomorrow. Sounds like a great idea to lay in bed all day to me ;)
Tehya's cough is getting worse, it's starting to wake her up and she cries after a coughing fit. I'm thinking her throat must be getting sore from it all. Mark and I went to have a look at Harvey Normans at the computers, they are having a sale on for the weekend. Found one I really like for just under $2,000. Not knowing a whole lot about computers though, I'm not sure if this is a great deal or not.
Just worked it out yeterday that Tehya and I will be at Tresillian for Fathers Day. Mark would probably prefer that anyway, atleast he's getting peace and quiet.
Noah so nicely decided that the wall next to the computer in the dining room needed redecorating and drew a huge big spiral on it with LAUNDRY MARKER. Couldn't have just used a pencil hey!!! Let me just say girls Thank God for those Chux Magic Erasers. We tried spray and wipe, domestos and neither of those worked then I remembered the little Chux thingies. A great thing to have in the cupboard.
Nell I hope that your mouth is feeling ok today.
Take care
Trish
-
Trish - bugga about being in Tresillian for father's day. LOL @ Mark possibly preferring it tho! I bet a bit of peace and quiet would be a fantastic father's day present. Oh no @ Noah drawing on the wall!! Nordy boy. Glad you could get it off tho. I will have to invest in some of those chux thingys for when Gabby is older. A new computer is always good but, yeah, definitely ask a "computer expert" before buying. Maybe if you give Sarah the details, Aaron might be able to let you know if it's a good deal or not?
We had friends over today with their 5 yo. She was running around with Lucy outside for a while - the dog thought it was grrrreat! Some attention for once. Anyway... the little girl came inside, had a play in Gabby's room then came back into the lounge room - all with dog poo all over her shoe!!!! OMG! My house stunk of it. We quickly whipped the shoe off her and then I had to go around searching for bits of poo. Ick!! Looks like I am going to have to get the carpets cleaned ASAP.
Haven't been up to much else. Neil has been at the football all day (lucky him). Apparently they want me to go next week. His mates have social club tickets. I haven't been to Kardinia Park since it has been done-up (it's the Geelong Cat's home ground for those of you that don't know what I am talking about) so it would be good to go. Gotta see if Mum can look after the Gabster for the day. It will be the longest I have been away from her. AND I have to get dressed up... hmmm... not much fun when you feel fatter than when you were preggo!
-
Guess what guess what..... Zander rolled from front to back \:D/ Yaaaay, he's been doing it since last night - about 5 times now!
Yuck at the dog poo on the carpet Deb, not good. You'll feel great getting dressed up Deb & not having to worry about baby spew LOL!! You'll do fine without her - just ring 100 times like I do! Sounds like a BF holiday would be good, I wonder if you have to be BF to do it :-k We have a daddy son thing going on here as well - Zander talks way more to daddy than mummy.
Oh no at Tehya's cough getting worse Trish, bumma that you can't do anything for her sore throat either. As for the computer, let me know what it is cos Aaron can build a computer from scratch for about $1000ish (depending on what you need). What a bumma that Tehyas first father's day will be away from her daddy, but if it helps, so be it I guess. I'll have to remember as well about the Chux eraser thingys as well for when my little monkey is bigger. As for the Maxi Rider, we checked it out today & yup it does recline & they go from 8kg so Zander should be ok, like I said we're waiting a few weeks to get it but he is 7.9kg now anyway. Yikes at the cost of the dermatologist, hopefully they will have an answer for you.
With my family Zola I doubt very much that Zander will end up a pro basketballer - remember what a shortie I am?? OMG at Bas sitting up =D> Sounds good about working, but IKWYM about not wanting to miss anything.
WTG Alex for that weight gain.
What a great present for Alecia Tanya, she's going to love it. But can you hold off telling her for that long if you're so excited too?
Went to Target today & bought the extra bits & pieces to make his little Avent bottles into sippy cups (they have 20% of Avent ATM). Soooo we now have sippy cups, spoons & I gave in to the temptation and got some rice cereal. Sooo we are just about set to start solids (just need a bowl), but I think we might still be a few weeks off anyway. Also I wondered if you guys give your bubs a drink of water after the solids? Most of the mums at MG do & they do it with a sippy cup rather than a bottle to get them used to the cup.... So I decided to do that too.
-
Sarah - you are lucky! Our Target don't sell Avent stuff :( It would be handy if they did because I get a discount there. I can only get Avent at chemists or the supermarket (Safeway). Sounds like you are all ready to go with solids! Dunno about the water myself - it's a good question! Hehehe, I don't think you have to BF to have a little holiday in bed! Just as important for bot-bot bubbie's mummy's to rest up too :)
-
Not quite ready to go Deb - we have the bits & pieces, but mummy & Zander aren't ready yet ;)
-
Yay for Zander rolling from front to back :) Very Clever boy (and a proud mummy too by the sounds :D )
Yay for specials too, It's great things you actually need are on sale! As for the water in a sippy cup, Sounds like a good idea. I have never done it... well not with rice cereal. When Emily began to sit in her high chair and have meals she always had a cup of water.
Trish, I really hope Teyha's cough goes away!! Poor little thing! I know what you mean about the drawing on the walls too! Emily drew all over Alecia's bed with a permanent marker a couple of months ago, and all through the car with a texta that I can't get off.
Deb, Neil saw a great game today :) , just a shame they didn't win :( .Ick @ the poo!! eeewwww!!
Going to look at a couple of houses for rent next week. I am really determined to be out of here soon... it costs waaaay to much in petrol. Even tho the college has discount petrol, they sell it for no profit, but their opening times are 12:30 -12:50 and 5pm-5:15, so only a small window of oppertunity.
I think Violet was having a growth spurt... I felt like I fed her 1000000 times yesterday... thankfully today was back to normal and she slept through again last night.
Tanya
-
Sarah, a big YAY for Zander rolling over, What a clever boy he is =D> On the drink after solids I usually give Tehya some BB after her solids to wash it down.
Tanya, buggar about Emily drawing all over Alecia's bed and the car. We really need to remember to hide those damn textas. Good luck on the house hunting. I'm dreadig have to pack up our house to move with 4 kids. Way too much stuff to pack and move.
Deb, I hope that you get to go to the footy next game. I'm sure you'll have a great time dressing up and getting out baby free. Yuck on the poo, don't you hate it when that happens. Thankfully it doesn't happen to often around here, but then it shouldn't, we have no animals. I guess that's why it p's me off when it does happen. Hope you have a great day on your bfing holiday today. Enjoy it while you can.
Tehya has started to really babble. You know the whole baa baa gaa gaa sort of thing and not just squeals. It looks and sounds sooo cute. She moves her mouth in the weirdest ways to get these sounds out. I really need to get out the video camera and catch some of it. One day we'll buy our own but atm we have Dad's around here still from Brandon's bday.
Going to look at yet another house today. I tell you, I'm starting to get sick and tired of trapsing through other peoples homes. I know all of this looking is just making me fussier about the house we finally settle on. Hopefully we'll be in our own home before xmas. I don't know how much longer we can all fit in this shoebox. 6 people in a basic 3 bedda is getting squishy.
Take care
Trish
-
Who me? Proud of Zander rolling over? NEVER!!! Yuck at the thought of moving Tanya, but it sounds like moving closer to town might be a good thing for you guys. Yay at the sleep through the other night - we would have had one last night except for the whimpers for the dummy ](*,)
Yay at the babbling Trish, Zander is quite funny turning his tongue upside down in his mouth when he talks! Good luck with the house hunting too.
We looked yesterday at high chairs so I'm wondering what you guys have? The one we're looking at is a Fisher Price one, it's called something like Infant to Toddler Health Chair or something like that. The thing I liked about it is that it can recline a bit for when the bub is little & not sitting up properly yet. What do you guys think?
Not much happening here today, just a lazy one so I'm hoping to get some scrapping done.
-
Tanya - geez, that's not a lot of time to get your petrol!! LOL Is there a massive queue at those times? I hope you find something to rent that you like (same to you, Trish).
Trish - Tehya's talking sounds sooooo cute! I am with you on the video camera. I am actually surprised at how little I have got it out for Gabby (considering it sits in the lounge, ready to go!). I had a look at what I already have and it's a whole lot of her sitting on the floor playing with no pants on, LOL. Well... that's what it seems like. I guess it will all be wonderful to see in years to come and I will wish that I had got it out more. I can just imagine how frustrating it must be for you guys in such a small house. We feel cramped in our 3 bedder and there's only the 3 of us! Mind you, if we had another living area and perhaps an ensuite, it wouldn't feel so tiny.
Sarah - that high chair sounds great. We won't be buying one because we had 2 given to us. They are pretty basic. One of them has a tray that come off so that one will be the one we use all the time. The other one is even more basic so I might see if my sister wants it at her place - either that or it can come out to the garage so that Gabby can sit in it while I play on BB (there will come a day when she no longer sleeps for so long during the day - nooooooo!!! ;) ). Bummer about Zander looking for the dummy at night. That must be a pain. Hope you get some scrapping done today!
Not much happening today. Neil is in the bad books (again... ) and I am just too mad to even talk about it because I reckon I could rave on forever!! *inhale* *exhale*
We are having brunch with friends this morning so that will be good. Then I am meant to go to work. Will see if that happens or not.
-
Sarah, we are using Noah's highchair for Tehya. We got it from Babies Galore with some of the money he got for his baptism. It's by Love 'n Care. It's quite nice and boyish too. A dark and light blue check. It reclines and you can also adjust the height on it too. It also has wheels with locks on them so you can move it easily. From memory I think it cost around $180. Good luck getting some scrapping done.
Deb, remember that Neil is back at work tomorrow so you won't have to even look at him them :) Hope that your brunch goes nicely.
We are off to Mums house for a BBQ lunch after looking at the house. It's my neices bday. I still haven't got her a pressie yet. Oh well, my brother still hasn't got one for Brandons bday and that was last month......
Take care
Trish
-
I wish Zander would sleep more during the day! As you can see my posts arent as regular as when we were TTC & I was working then too!! Norti Neil :smt021 to him!
How was lunch Trish?
I am sooo pleased with myself ATM! I have spent just about 2hrs ironing & my mountain has almost disappeared \:D/ I had a tall round basket overflowing, plus two smaller baskets overflowing too, not to mention the two loads I took off the line today!!!! Yup it was bad, so I said to Aaron he has to look after Zander & cook dinner so I could get it done. So now all I have is a small basket which is NOT overflowing & the stuff that has to be washed which will be done tomorrow. It's sad, but I'm so proud :D
-
Hello - well I guess this will be the last post in August as I'm sure one of the lovely mods will lock it off soon. So everyone will forget about my post! #-o
Things going OK here. As for the TTC questions, we are just nt going on any birth control, and will just let things happen as they do. So I could be pregnant now for all I know!! Scary thought.....
Ummmmm - cant think of what else to say. Hope everyone is great and stuff. Busy day tomorrow, so I'm not sure I'm going to get on. Maybe, maybe.
Babble babble - read the crud I'm typing.
Fi
-
Well today was the day and he LOVED it!!!!! Jacob got his jumping joey yesterday (boys are calling it the Jacob jumper LOL). He has worn himself out twice in it just today. Popped him in it the first time late this morning just to see how he went. Of course he thought it was fantastic. Later on when we were about to have dinner he cracked it so I thought I'd give it a go and voila happy baby!! \:D/ Took a couple of pics of him in it so I will get them uploaded tomorrow to his page. I'm still giggling at the look on his face when he was in it - such a cack!!
Fi - LOL at being the last post! I looked for another thread but couln't find one and this one was still open 8-[
Sarah - woo hoo on the ironing!! I always get a little excited when my basket is empty. Yay!! for Zander rolling over!!! \:D/
Well I'm off to my 2nd fav place - ebay. Need a bit of a shopping fix - well watch list anyways LOL
-
Hey everyone :)
Well I won't do it again this time...
Good luck Trish & Tanya! I know you are both trying to find somewhere new to live, so I hope that the perfect house pops up soon for you guys.
Tanya... that's gotta suck having to time your trips to get a decent deal on petrol so moving closer will have to help out with that. Bloody cars... expensive little buggers. I hope Alecia enjoys her birthday, it only seems like a few months ago that you were planning her last birthday! Geez thisyear has flown!
Trish, I bet your kids won't know what to do when you find a bigger place. Friends of ours have just bought a 5 bedrrom place after having 2 adults and 4 kids in a 3 bdrm house, and they're stoked :) I hope Tehya's cough gets better soon too.
Sarah... YAY for Zander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so exciting when they learn a new trick ;) We got Bas the Fisher Price Aquarium high chair. It reclines in 3 positions, has a removable tray with a little insert with divided parts for plate, cup etc, and it comes with this groovy toy that clips into the tray and plays music and has bits they can roll and spin and stuff. Bas seems to like it, and the cover can even go in the dryer after washing so it doesn't take all day to dry :)
Fi... you are one very brave woman!! As much as I loved being pregnant, I don't think I could handle another bub soo soon!
Deb...yuk at the poo! And big smacks to Neil....he really should start behaving himself!
Nat... don't you just want to kiss whoever invented the jumpers! I managed to get all my cooking done this weekend (fruit, veges, tea and cookies!!) cause Bas loves being in his...just wish he'd stay still enough for some photos though ;)
Umm.....who'd I miss?? My review doesn't go back far enough...but Hello and hope everything is going well for everyone.
I think I'm going to take Bas to the pool today....better go see if my bathers still fit 8-[
Ooh... I've put up (hopefully!) a pic of Bas with Newkie's two that we took yesterday. Jack is soooo cute with Bas, and we just know that in a few months time they'll be getting up to all sorts of mischief ;)
-
LOL at your second favourite place Nat!! I'm a bit like that too! Woohooo for the Jacob Jumper ;) Sounds like he had a blast in it.
What is it with us & get the same things Zola!! It's the same high chair, but they come in Link-a-Doos & Aquarium & other things as well - I was thinking of going the aquarium one cos he already has their other stuff! I hope your swimmers fit & you guys have a good day at the pool today, isn't it a bit cold though?
Well Zander has got a new best friend at the moment - a cow named Mooshen (long story with the name!). It's about the length of his body & he wrestles with it, rolling around laughing his head off. I have some photos that I'll put up a bit later!
Hope everyone is doing well,m you've all been a bit quiet....
-
I think we must have excellent taste, Sarah :) Actually, it's probably more a case of having the matching theme though....;)
Now you mention it... it is a bit chilly, was alright wehn I got up. The pool is indoor and heated, but I might wait a bit and see if it gets a bit warmer.
-
Zola, Newkies kids are too cute... how is she? I've been meaning to ask. Bas is getting too big!! He is a real mix of the two of you huh??
Sarah I have a Child card High chair, Watos parents got it for Em... It is a high low chair, it reclines, has wheels and the tray canbe removed. the things I love about it that I will be looking for if I have to get another one... the divider bewteen the legs so bub doesn't slip out (Emily has slipped down a few times in when we have gone out to eat and we have to use their high chairs), I love the wheels and the high low feature... I don't use the recline a great deal. Mind you when Alecis was in a high chair it was one of those reeeaaally old wooden and steel ones... it did the job!
As for the ironing, well done!! My washing to be folded is bad enough, let alone having to do ironing!! I have never ironed... never will!! [-(
Fi... lol at the mods not locking the post!! You must've jinxed it! I am not on any birth control yet either... I don't like the thought of stuffing with my body's natural processes... plus we don't dtd enough to worry about it. I may go onto birth control at a later stage when I get my body back to normal... plus all that scary stuff about hormonal replacment is putting me off!!
Trish, I hope the BBQ went well :)
Deb, did you get to work? How did brunch go? As for lining up for petrol... not often you have to line up... there isn't that many ppl out here... mainly uni students... maybe 150...?? Dunno. They stuff open the petrol station up, so sometimes they forget which is a pain in the bum when your tank is MT. But I know every1 here so I just make a phone call and they open up for me... One of the staff members said to just ring him whenever I need fuel and he'll open up for me.
Went to a craft expo yesterday... Met mum and Alecia there. Alecia went to the Lion King with her on Saturday, they LOVED it!! Anyway, the craft expo was ok... I didn't get anything special... I got a catalog for scrapbooking stuff...
Mum gave Violet a 9ct gold bracelet she had bought her last week... very nice... it's an adult one, but it's a chain so she can wear it now. Mum is going to get hViolet's name in charms for her birthday. She also go me a watch... she said it was a graduation pressie... awww I am sooo lucky! I told her to take it and get it engraved for me.
Chamba had a Baby rabbit on saturday... so I grabbed it and showed Emily... Big mistake!! She wouldn't let it go (she is a lot gentler than I though an almost 2yo would be). So now we have a pet wild rabbit!! Oh well!! It's cute... now... I've been feeding it milk.
Where is Maryann??? Maryann I hope you and bub are ok!

Looks like I'll sneak a post in before it is locked too!!
Tanya - yay @ the new watch! What a lovely gift. And Violet's bracelet. Just adorable. That's good that you just have to call to get them to open the petrol station for you! Awww @ the new pet rabbit. Little bunnies are so cuuuuute! Yep.. I went to brunch and it was lovely. Neil didn't go (too hung over) - considering it was brunch with half of his mates, it was a poor effort. They were not impressed! Still, Gabby got lots of cuddles and I had pancakes ;) Got to work too so it was nice to have a break. Gabby was still asleep when I got home tho!! Almost a 4 hour sleep in the middle of the day! Needless to say she was hungry.
Zola - the pics are great. Bas is such a cutey! Hope you have fun at the pool. LOL @ seeing if the bathers still fit. I haven't been brave enough to put mine on. Urrrgh!! The thought of it makes my skin crawl, LOL.
Sarah - Zander sounds so cute with Mooshen the cow! Yay 4 the ironing. It always feels so much better when you get one of those big chores out of the way. I got our giant pile of clean clothes away last night and it felt good to go to bed knowing that they weren't waiting for me in the morning. I don't iron tho - am I bit of a slack-arse. Plus, neither of us wear clothes that really need ironing. God help me if Neil ever gets an office job!! ;)
Nat - good to hear that Jacob enjoys his "Jumpin' Jacob" ;) Hope you score some bargains on ebay.
Fi - sounds like you guys are cruising along ok. Tell Shane to hurry up and go back to work so that we can have you back ;)
Trish - hope the BBQ was fun. LOL @ Neil being back at work today so I don't have to look at him. My sentiments exactly. I have decided that the weekends really suck for me. I see less of my DH than I do during the week when he is working. He's still in the bad books. He has apologised but.. I dunno... I am kind of numb. I am not upset but not happy with him either. I guess that's what happens when you get let down so many times. I am not quite sure what to do about it. Until then, I just carry on....
-
And the matching cars too Zola ;)
I have looked specifically for a highchair with the divider thing between the legs cos I think Trish (or it might have been you!) mentioned it before. Aaron is supposed to do the ironing but hasn't for aaages - I have found work shirts that my preggie belly didn't fitted into since October in there! How cute of Violet to have a bracelet & that will be nice to have her name in charms on it for her birthday. Yay for the new watch as well.
Aaron has an office job Deb, so yup business shirts need to be ironed over here! His suit though gets drycleaned. I hope things get better with Neil soon :hugs:
I've also wondered about Maryann & Kayla.... Hope they're both ok...
I tried Zander out with his sippy cup just earlier, how funny was it!! He wanted a bottle so I gave him the cup of water while I was making it. He was holding it well & even managed to get it in his mouth on his own. Only thing was he looked a bit horrified when he realised it was only water in it LOL!! I think he was lucky to have had 5ml from it, but he'll get used to it!
-
LOL Sarah - I can just picture Zander's face when he discovered it was just water!! What a clever boy for figuring out how to sip it himself.
Neil's tax cheque came today but no sign of mine! Damn! I wannna go shopping!! :-({|=
-
It was quite funny Deb!! Bumma that Neil has got his tax back & you haven't yet. We've had both of ours back & spent (well just about spent - Zander's high chair & carseat are still to go).
BTW if anyone has Avent bottles I would definately recommend getting the sippy cup attachments. I tested it the other day by shaking it heaps & not a drop came out, I then sucked on it & it's definately a suck action ot get anything out of it. So really it's a bottle with a different shaped teat to get them used to the shape before going onto a real sippy cup I guess.
-
Ooo I will have to invest in some of them then, Sarah. Thanks for the tip!
As it is, I still have to buy some faster teats. Atm, the 3+ ones are ok for Gabby but it takes her about 30 minutes to drink a bottle
-
Zander's still on the 3m+ ones & he can drain a bottle in about 10mins! BUT he's been having them since he was 3 days old. I guess it might be harder for Gab seeing as she's a BF bubba.
-
That's probably the case, Sarah. In a way I like that she takes so long (after all, I only give her 1 a day) because she just refuses to have any more once she is full. If she was able to guzzle it, she might have the whole lot and make herself sick iykwim?
Just took some more pics of Gab in her JJ. Got a couple of her laughing!

Hey all. Maybe this time I'll be the last post!!
Scrabble brain here again - sorry all. I have been on the internet all day organising our holiday. We are off to Rarotonga (Cook Islands) on Wednesday!! YAYAY!! Somewhere nice and warm! I'm stoked, and really looking forward to it, but I only have 1 day to arrange everything, so I definitly wont be on tomorrow, and then probably wont be on until next week when we get back. SOOOOO much to organise!!!! Can you tell I am very close to getting the money from Lara being sold? I figure after all that bloody stress, the least we deserve is a holiday somewhere tropical.
So love you all and leave you - catchya's next weekend.
Fi

Can we come too Fi?? I would love to go somewhere tropical, at the moment it's been -4 here of a night/early morning  Anyway have a great time away, miss Jenna is definately going to be a well travelled little girl!
-
Sarah - it has been shocking here too, and thats why I finally cracked it and booked it. Miss Jenna isn't a patch on her cousins with passport stamps! They have been everywhere. I'm afriad in Jenna's case its just a situation of very selfish mummy and daddy.
Apparently it was 28 and sunny there today! Doesn't it just sound like bliss???

Now I really wanna come Fi, 28deg would be great :)
Not much to say cos there's noone else to reply to!!
I've updated Zander's site again with photos of Mooshen & his first go with the sippy cup....
-
Have fun Fi, Shane and Jenna! I am very jealous!
Sarah - the pics with Mooshen are so cuuuute! Gosh he is a gorgeous boy! (Zander... not the cow, LOL)
I am sitting here waiting for the posty to come. He better have my tax cheque! I want to go shopping!!! Neil's has already cleared after I put it in yesterday so if I get it today and deposit it, I can go spending tomorrow!! YEAH! Maybe Gabby and I should go on a holiday somewhere. Still completely over Neil. I really don't like him atm. I think he can tell. Not that he does anything about it. Hmmmm....
-
It's funny Deb, as soon as Mooshen comes out Zander's eyes light up, we give it to him & they wrestle (as you can see from the photos!). Sooo what are you planning on spending your tax cheque on??? Hopefully the posty will have it for you soon. More :smt021 for Neil. I really hope you guys can sort things out.
