Hey
Just thought I would pop in while waiting for Hayley to wake up....she has been down since 11.30pm last night and still sleeping.
Scarlett - I have to agree with the others, if it would make you feel better take her to the Drs, you know best!
Tanya - Dont you just love the whinge cry!!! I hope Violet is getting better, maybe the rice cereal is the way to go, you can only try it and see.
Fi - Happy Birthday!!! I hope you get spoilt!
Deb - I hope that you are feeling better! Nothing worse than a runny bum, lol! Just love that saying!
As for me, we are doing pretty well. I finally decided that Hayley needed a treat, so I bought the kick n whirl carnival thing...was supposedly meant to be $59 but the girl scanned it and it went through at $32, I left pretty quickly after that. Thankfully Hayley just loves it. I have the dreaded MCHN checkup tomorrow, so will see what she has to say...she is dead against food of any sort until after 6 months, but my paed said maybe 5 months if she needs it, only because she is a premmie!
I have Shannen home today with a headache, personally I think she didnt want to do sport in the rain, but I gave in anyway.
We have immunisations next Wednesday night, just hate them but hopefully she will be better this time.
Okay, rambled long enough and Hayley is still asleep so I am off to try and clean!

Hey everyone :)
Where do I start. It's been sooo long since I've logged on, I honestly don't know what I used to do with all my time before I had Bas.
Ok, I know I'll miss poeple out,..and if I do.. sorry!
Sarah... glad to hear that Zander is sleeping a bit better since his move to his cot. Sounds like Aaron and your Mum got you through your scare alright too...Zander must be growing too quickly :)
Deb... ooooh, morning sickness, trial runs wiith toddlers....oooooohhh ;) Just kidding... but who is thinking of a second already? We'd like to have two close together so are thinking about trying in December. Go Gabbers with the rolling over too... it's so cute to see them get a shock to end up the other way around hey :) Bas has stopped rolling from his tumy to his back so much.. he keeps getting distracted by finding things to put in his mouth. He's also getting frustrated with rolling from his back cause he can't get that last little way over.
Fi.. sounds like you guys had a great trip to NZ... once I've finished this post I'll have to check out the pics.Sounds like a cracker of a ring you've got your eye on too...if Shane's going to make an honest woman of you, he might as well do it right, hey :)
Tanya... Has Violet started solids yet? I only ask cause Bas was doing the same sort of thing at about 13 weeks, so we started him on some rice cereal at 15 weeks and he;s been sleeping right through from about 11 til 7 every night since then. He also has some fruit and some veges now too.. he's loving it :) I had to laugh at Violet spewing on your head too. We went to Launceston the other weekend (my SIL had her bub so we went to see them) and as I was picking Bas up out of his pram i went to kiss him and he spewed half digested formula and stomach juices right into my mouth... it was all I could do not to vomit right there outside the entrance to the Country Club Casino ;)
Trish... well done on the raffle win, it's always the way that you never get anything when you're there. I can understand how you might not want Tehya in her jolly jumper with Noah around. Sometimes I have to watch Bas and the cats when he's in his (well it's actually Newkie's which we have pilfered until Lucy is old enough to need it back ;)) I somehow managed to flip him in it the other day so he was nearly standing on his head! It didn't seem to worry him though.. he absolutely loves it.. he jumps up and down and even from one leg to the other, just like he's walking. I'll put a pic up on my site if I can ever get on in focus :)
Dinky... I'm glad Hayley is doing so well... even though the MCHN insists on the age adjustment thing. It must be nice having DH and Shannen and Tayla home to share her with you.
Nell, Scarlett I hope everything is going well with you guys and with Matty and Emily.
uuumm.... have I missed anyone?? Sorry!
Well...it's been an interesting few months here. We're pretty well settled in to the new house, eventhough the redecorating is taking a while. I "have" to put up some pics of Bastian's room, which is the only room we've properly finished.
I've had a ****ty cold for a week, which has of course gone to my chest, and now Bas has it too.. his first ever cold, poor little mite.
We started Mothers Group this week. It'a little later than most, but we waited until we moved cause we had to change clinic groups, then we had to wait for a new group to get started down here. It seems like a nice group of people, and Bas is the oldest bub there. We weighed him while we were there too..... now this was fully clothed...with a pair of shoes on....8.9kgs!!! My Mum and Nan are taking us shopping on Saturday to buy new clothes for him cause he's growing out og his 00s!
That's really handy, cause we're really having to budget strictly at the moment. Felius bought a car, so now we're running 2 cars, and that used up most of the money we had left after we sold our other house. It won't be for too long though, cause I got a call from my work asking when I want to go back.. the person they got to replace me isn't working out so well. I really don't want to go back cause I don't want to miss out on Bas developing.. but alas I must. I'll probably start back in about 6 weeks. It will be handy to have some extra money cause I need some new clothes too... everything is too big!! I'm still losing weight, and I think I'm up to about 25 kgs below my pre pg weight!! It's the smallest I've been in about 5 years!
Anyway... this post will probably take up about 10 pages! What an epic!!
Hope everyone is "still" ok at the end of this :) Hopefully it won't be another month before I get to post again!

Hello,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. had an OK day, but the miss is being a PAIN!!!!!!! I think shes sick, but shes happy when we dont try and settle her, she weeing and pooing OK, and drinking heaps (although the l;ast feed was out of a bot-bot) so we shall see how she is in the morning.
I got the ring!!!!!! Well, actually, the sign from the ring was put into my card this morning, and it will take us the next few months to pay off, but I got it!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! Mum was slightly taken aback when I said I was getting a 1.88ct diamond ring. Oh well. Its mine!
Scarlett - great to hear netball is going well. I'm playing a game in the morning which I'm looking forward too. Hopefully I do OK and they want me back next week. I'm playing wing, which is what I play, but thats also where the reserves are always put. Glad to hear you are appreciating the baby-growing stuff. Someitmes I reckon we take too much for granted being at home all the time.
Zola - nice to hear from you. Wow on your little boofa boy! He's growing soooo well! And wohoo on the weight loss. You must be slowly disappearing into nothingness with that lot gone. If only I could lose 10kg! Thats all I want to lose. Easier siad than done.
Dinky - bonus on the savings. I hate that feeling of do you say anything, do you walk away. I hope she loves it! Good luck for the MCHN.
Tanya - I know that feeling of not giving enough. Jenna has been demanding more at night, and my milk supply teeters away to nothing after about 8pm. Only enough for snacks. I've tried letting her suck for ever the last couple of nights, but still no milk. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Deb - I hope your botty has cleared up!
Fi
-
Great to hear from you Zola, thanks for the catch up. :) Sounds like Bas is going great guns.
Dinky - yay on your great bargain! Hope Hayley gets alot of enjoyment out of it.
Scarlett and Deb - I didn't take Matty to the doc's as he really only had one bad day of a cough and if it got worse, then I was going to take him. I think if your instinct tells you to take then do so. Yay on Emily sitting by herself, great stuff.
Oohh solids Tanya? How exciting! I haven't got Matty on them yet as I don't think he is really looking for them. I am planning to start him on a sippy cup soon when I get to the shops to buy him one for my EBM, see how we go with that.
Trish - thanks for agreeing to meet us. Just let us know when you know - yay!
Sarah - hope you have a nice relaxing evening after working, hope Zander went well.
We had 2nd lot of needles today, he cried for a little bit but he was so much better this time round. No after affects yet either so fingers crossed he is well tomorrow.
I also got a pleasant surprise today, my weight has been coming off very slllooowwwllly. As I am going back to work part-time in September, I tried on my uniform today to see how bad it actually was (eekk) but it fit! Yay! I was so worried I'd have a hard time getting back into it. :)
-
Fi - great stuff on the ring! yay! Glad you had a good day and hope Jenna feels better soon.
-
Don't know where to start this morning!
Happy belated birthday Fi & woohoo on getting the ring :) I hope Jenna's not getting sick.
Yay at your uniform fitting Nell, I bet that was a pleasant surprise!
Welcome back Zola :D We're thinking of trying from January as well, so who knows we might have our 2nds close together too! Wow at how big he is getting, we're weighing Zander later today.
Good luck with the MCHN today Dinky, hopefully she'll be a bit nicer or is that just wishful thinking?!
So have you started the rice cereal yet Tanya?
Weeeeelll we had a FANTASTIC night last night. Zander was in bed at 8.30 (us at 9.30 after Lost) had a grizzle for his dummy at 3ish and then slept until 7.15 \:D/ YAAAAAAYYYY he's finally getting this sleep thing sussed!
-
Yep Sarah.. I took the plunge last night and gave her some cereal!! She slept sooo much better :) She really enjoyed it :) .
Great to hear Zander is getting the hang of sleeping thro :D
Fi...WOOOOHOOOOOOO @ the ring!!! Now you just have to get it!!
Good idea about the sippy cup Nell, I did the same with Emily, she didn't get the hang of it so we went to straws... she finally got the hang of those at about 11months.
I hope Matty is still ok after his needles.
Well done with the weight too... good job! Here's to more coming off :D
Zola, great to see you back!! It sounds like Bas is still a big boy :) Another kg and he'll be heavier than Emily!!!! Yay @ maybe ttc in Dec!! If I were to have another I'd be thinking about it now...lol. I am already clucky... 8-[ ....But alas, no more for me :(
LOL @ the spew in your mouth!! YUCK
Dink, good luck with your MCHN check! Yay at your good bargin!! Well done!
Well no night time feed for Violet last night! hopefully a bit of rice cereal has done the trick. I'm not going to tell the MCHN, she doesn't need to know :D
Swimming today, then I am going to meet Mum in Shep for lunch
Tanya
-
Yay at your good sleep Sarah - well done Zander!
Have a good day in Shep today, glad that Violet went well after her rice cereal, sounds like it was what she needed.
Matthew woke up at 3.45am for a feed! He hasn't done that in a long long time so it was a bit of a shock! He is a bit grizzly today. Not sure whether to put that down to needles or not though.
-
Maybe your little fella is have a growth spurt, Nell? It really puts you out of whack when they wake you at night when you aren't used to it anymore.
Forgot to mention I woke up this morn with leaky BB's because Violet had been taking so much from me, but missed a feed last night :)
Tanya
-
Wow! A lot to catch up on.
Zola - good to hear from you matey. WOW! Bas has really grown! Uno he is 3kgs heavier than Gab?? Glad to hear you have settled in to your new place. LOL @ the spew in your mouth. That would have been pretty gross! Formula tastes like crap as it is without being regurgitated!
Fi - WOOO HOOO for the ring!! I can't wait to see it. Does that mean that we can officially compliment you on your engagement?? I am so happy for you guys :) I hope Jenna has a better day today. Nordy miss not being good for Mummy's birthday!! Tisk! Tisk!
Sarah - woo hoo @ Zander getting the hang of day and night. That's wonderful!
Dinky - well done on your bargain! Not bad! I bet Hayley loves it. Good luck with the needles next Wed.
Tanya - that is soooo great that Violet slept well for you. It goes to show that Mum knows best when it comes to starting solids etc. I reckon Gabby will probably have some Farex before she is 6 months. Maybe around 5 months?? As it is she is drinking more formula at night so I am tipping she will start feeling more hungry sooner. Yay for a great sleep for you! I bet your boobs were about to burst!
Nell - woo hoo on fitting into your uniform. Nothing worse than trying to squeeze into clothes - it makes you feel like crap. Now you won't have to go through that! Good job! I hope Matty is ok. I'd say it was the needles that woke him up. A bit of extra comfort is needed at those times, hey?
Not much on today. We slept in until 9am this morning so we are kind of out of whack. Doesn't matter! Weekend tomorrow!
Neil and I are going to the movies tonight for our belated anniversary. Mum is totally stoked to be watching Gabby. She said she will make sure she is nice and tired by the time we get home. I bet! I can imagine her poking her awake if she tries to drift off. She is being a bugga with her nap this morning (possibly because she slept for 10 hours!! LOL - that'll do it!). Gotta do the groceries too.
Neil is all excited because his work just took on a rather large client which will ensure plenty of work and good money rolling in. That means he will be able to push for a pay rise at the end of the year - YAY! Maybe I won't have to go back to work. In saying that, he was hinting that I do some casual work because he eventually wants to quit work to concentrate on his business. I guess it will be good in a way. Everyone keeps hassling him to print t-shirts. He does them but doesn't really get anything out of it except less time spent at home and on his own stuff. Once he is no longer working there it won't be a problem! Thank goodness he isn't a mechanic. Urrgh! My friend's DH is alllllllways working on other people's cars and never on his own (or spending time with his family for that matter!).

Hi All,
Yay on the uniform fitting Nell. I would hate to work somewhere in a uniform I think - there would always be people who look better in theirs than I do!! Jenna has been doing the 4am wakeup the last few mornings too, but it doesn't really worry us as neither of us has to go to work, so we are sleeping in every day. In saying that, I would be much happier if she slept through!
Speaking of uniforms, I had to pull my netball skirt out this morning, and I juuuuust managed to fit it on! And that wasn't with a shirt tucked in, so we still ahve a little bit to lose here. And I played against Shane's XW. She wasn't very happy to see us there, especially since Shane was served with intervention orders yesterday becasue apparently we have been harrassing her, threatening, stalking, abusing etc. Hmmmm - it will be interesting to see how the magistrate takes our side of the story!!
BTW - All we did was take 4 photos of her umpiring at netball last week because Child Support told us to dob her into the ATO as she does cash work. WE need proof, thus the photos. Apparently 30secs of photos is stalking.
Anyway..
Wow Sarah on that GREAT sleep!! What a good boy he is! I hope he keeps it going for you.
Tanya - Yay on the rice cereal working Tanya. Mother certainly knows best huh?? And what the MCHN doesn't know wont hurt her!
Deb - I'm looking forward to seeing the ring too!! Not engaged till the ring is on the finger ;) Hope you enjoy the movies.
Better go - she is waking up and Shane just does not understand that she needs to go straight back to sleep again!!! Grrrrrr.
Fiona
-
Fi - Shane's XW is one twisted sista!! I hope that the magistrate sees sense and realises she is just trying to make trouble. What a cow!!
Ok then! I'll hold off the congrats for when that ring is on your hot little finger (not your pinky... uno what I mean?? LOL). I am still very excited for you tho!
Just did the groceries and Gabby had the best time. Who needs a fun park?? LOL She was smiling and giggling the whole time. I think she just loves the baby trolleys because she can watch me the whole time. It makes it verrry hard to concentrate.
Bought some choccie bickies for when I have MG here on Tuesday. Now... we just have to resist eating them (by WE I mean ME ;) ).
