hi everyone
thought i best post before i forget what everyone has been up to:
firstly kellee wish charlie the best of birthdays "happy birthday for friday charlie" i probably should post this in the next thread for you. btw did you end up doing a prg test - how did you go? have a great weekend away and i hope the cake turned out super. see you in the next thread in a little over a month (sob sob)
mitch how are the sickies all going. not long before you go up to qld lucky you and how cool being able to meet up with some of the others fantastic. thats a great idea about a plate with suction caps - i remember i bought one for jessica obviously 7yrs ago and it was a waste of money she still was able to pull it off. let me know how you go and the brand it may well be the best money spent in this household lol. jay's school tour went good - school has around 750 kids so not to bad, they try and keep the preps to around 21 or 22 so am happy with that. i did a double page of my photos last night i am happy with that, tonight i am going to sit down and organise every single photo left so far of jay and plan out what i am going to do with them and write it all down and sort them - i find my problem is i spend an hour or so trying to figure out how to do the layout - this way i can just grab the photos and my sketch of the layout and get to it should power through well thats the theory.
pee cheeky bugger your dad tricking you into ryley walking. i was just thinking the other day how dh usually misses out on the milestones so i will be using the video on my phone to record lani's first steps if he is not home. i quite often take it to swimming and record jay so dh can see how well he is progressing. re fork and spoon - i don't bother with lani she will just chuck it round the place anyway lol - she has been using a sipper cup with water since she was 5mths old and drinks really well with it. re the milk i will introduce cows milk around 12mths just by doing it a little at a time ie: 1/4 full cream milk 3/4 formula for a few days then slowly increase it till she is taking a full bottle of normal milk. i am not fazed with bottles whatsoever or dummy's for that fact, she will probably be drinking from a cup in the mornings when she is on full cream and will let her have a bottle before bed as long as she wants, have done it with my other children and worked well for us.
melbee welcome to you and eliana, they do grow up so quickly. we are on the ttc train atm and i am currently 10 dpo (i think lol lost track) am due for af next thursday and if she hasn't arrived by then (which i think she will) i will test next weekend. goodluck for you - are you testing this weekend - keep us posted.
dachlostar how are you going with your prg - i try and read all the threads to catch up but after bb being down the other day there were so many posts i missed i am still catching up lol. poor thing with the ms - i remember reading somewhere that if you have bad ms it could be a girl - i remember thinking i may be having twins with lani cause i was terribly sick in the first tri and worse than the other two but then jessie my first i can't really remember how sick i was. poor yasin and the tonsillitis it sucks i had it heaps as a kid (should have had them ripped out) hope he gets better soon. and how clever at him walking with his push along thing. lani is getting a couple for her birthday so that may encourage her a bit - currently she stands at her activity table and has started ever so slowly pushing it along the floor - she is a bit unsure of the floor tiles cause they can be a little cold and slippery.
now i think that is it - hope i haven't missed anyway. we are all well went to auskick today lani enjoyed the hot dog lol (not a full one 1/2 of mine) next week is last week at footy for jay and it is presentation day so we will all go with the camera so i can do a scrapbook page on him playing footy.
lani is being a little silly in the mornings waking up around 5am but i usually can get her back to sleep until 7am, she is a bugger with those dummies lol i swear she tosses them out just to get me in there lol - she has two and likes to hold them whilst she sleeps sometimes she even tries to stuff them both in her mouth at the same time, i reckon if she had a hundred in there she would still toss them all - oh well she will get over it, i just pop them back without saying anything hopefully she will realise that it is a boring visit and won't do it lol.
hope you are all having a great weekend - quiet one for us (as usual i suppose) but having fish and chips tonight so am looking forward to a big greasy meal. plus i don't have to cook.
take it easy
-
kellee - hope charlie's 1st birthday party was a success & hopefully you will pop in & let us know how it all went
michelle - wooloowin is about 5mins down the road from my place! bet you are looking forward to getting away - are the kids all bettter now?
dach - eliana is 9months not celebrating her 1/2 birthday - hope you are feeling better & getting some rest when you can - poor yasin being sick - has he taken any more steps? bummer you couldn't get tickets to the game but it was great that parramatta won - DP is a huge fan
mooshie - how is the TTC going? i am on day 33 & still no AF - will get a pregnancy test today but im too scared to do it - i would rather get AF than a BFN - i think lani & eliana have been talking to each other cause she has started waking at 4am & won't go back to sleep unless i take her to bed with us
we had a pretty quiet weekend - spent the day shopping on saturday & then went to DP's mums for dinner - yesterday was just a lazy family at home but eliana finally said mum mum \:D/
-
Melbee, #-o of course Eliana is 9 months...... blame it on placenta brain and also I was a bit excited by Charlie's 1st birthday. What a goose I am!!! LOL.
Michelle, I fell for you with the morning wake up calls. Yasin wakes up at 5 every morning and needs to be convinced to go back to sleep. Atleast he's dropped the 3am call most nights.
I feel like death warmed up today. Yasin's toxic antibiotic nappies are awful!!! I've caught a cold and between that, morning sickness and 1st trimester exhaustion all I want to do is crawl into bed and stay there for a week. Unforunatley thats not possible since Yasin would get really cross with me and my Dad is coming to vist so I need to get my home clean - its a total mess right now.
-
Hello all! Thanks for the birthday wishes... we had a great day. Unfortunately we had to come home from our weekend away early because I had an asthma attack, but we were able to still have a lovely weekend. The picnic went really well - I didn't cry until the last line of Charlie's song, so I was pretty happy with that. He got so many presents! I kind of forgot that people give presents at a party, so we were surprised by how generous everyone was. The cake turned out brilliantly - but only because DH decorated it - but it tasted nice too, and that was because I made it!
Pg test was BFN on Thursday, but still no sign of AF - felt horrible last night, very nauseous, so fingers crossed! I will test again tomorrow if no af. Temps are up, but I haven't really been temping, so I'm not sure what that means. Wil let you know, for sure!
Anyway, must go and pop into the 12 months forum (boo hoo!) before I start my uni work. Hope to see you all soon, and I will pop in here to let you know how things are going and check up on you. Hope your bubs are all healthy and happy (and their mums!)... see you soon!
PS - Mitch, PM me about Thursday - I'm still keen and Wooloowin isn't far from me (or from melbee by the sounds of it!). Is the wonderful Miss J coming too?
-
Kellee- so glad the party went well, and the song too, good girl for holding back the tears, bummer about the asthma attack, hope you feel better, fingers crossed for the BFP!!!! I know you saw the post in 12mths about the met up, I'll talk to you in there about it, will make it easier than answering in 2 places, Jessica isn't coming! I am being alone for a few days, just for something different. LOL
Dashc- sounds like you need to sleep, or esape atm, bugger the house. Maybe yor Dad should clean it LOL. I hope you found the energy you need and that Yasin is better very soon.
Michelle- good luck for testing but if not, next month. i am bracing for the phenomenal price of the suction bowls, but I know to get a good one you have to spend up. I brought on e for a cousin's little one and it was great but by the time it got to me it wasn't anygood anymore. I'll let you know how I go! Sounds like the tour was great, that's terrific. You are a scrapping machine atm, good going!
Melissa- good luck for you too, and I too would prefer af than a bfn, well not me personally now, cos I'm not ttc, but...YKWIM!LOL All you girls trying to have more babies, I miss it you guys make me wanna go again, but I think just to be one of the girls, not cos I need more kids LOL. Do you want to meet us on Thursday Mel. We are going to the Roma st Parklands! Christy from 12mth forum is picking me up at the airport and we are meeting Ambah and Kellee there, you are most welcome!
Everyone is alomost all better here and I am too, which is such a relief for me. I am a bit annoyed at DH just bc he is a grumpy ****, he hasn't had a smoke since he got sick and now that he is better he is starting to get very annoyed, of course if he wears patches he isn't as bad, but he ran out and didn't buy more, wouldn't you know it. I am coming up to 6 months on the 24th August and I actually can't believe it has been that long, seems like I only told you girls I was quitting yesterday.
Anyway better go and try to finish up, gotta sleep sometime.
Cheers Michelle
-
dash - you poor thing - i agree to get your dad to clean up & go book yourself into a day spa or some relaxing place!! at least when he is there you can get a nap in while he watches yasin
kellee - hope you havent had any more asthma attacks - has AF turned up - still no sign of her here, im on day 34 now but have had really bad cramping last night & a headache today but still nothing - the cake sounded great & im sure charlie will look back on his birthday & see what a great day you created
michelle - id love to meet up on thursday - just let me know what time & whereabouts in roma st parklands - will be great to put some "real" faces to the the typing
its been a quiet time here - DP's mum called in yesterday afternoon (don't you love those suprise visits) i was going to take eliana to the park but my belly is too sore & my headache is hanging around so just might have a really lazy day :D
-
Hi everyone
Wow so many posts since I last posted here...
Let's see,
Kellee - Happy Birthday to Charlie! I hope you get the BFP you are after!
Mel and Mooshie - Good luck to you both also with the TTC, hope you see those BFPs soon!
It seems like everyone is either pg or TTC atm! DH and I have discussed it and we probably will have another, but we are not even going to think about it until Grace is 2. We are going to focus on other stuff like getting our finances in order and finally buying our own home.
I have been feeling a bit crap the last week, just tired and generally not right. I know I am not pg, as I have been perfect taking the pill so it's probably just due to looking after the kids and I could be eating better...
Anyway gotta go I have a cranky miss today. Sorry to those I missed, I did read everyone's posts, promise!
Bon

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.
Yasin only has one dose of antibiotics to go so we're about to see the last of the antibiotic poos :crossfingers: .
Dad is busy today seeing some old freinds for lunch but we'll be spending tomorrow together along with the fiancee. I can't say I'm looking forward to it. Every time i call him I can hear her talking in the background - it would be nice to be able to have a conversation without her listening in and interupting.
Bon, its good to hear from you. I hop you start feeling better soon.
Michelle, I hope you have a great time on your holiday and enjoy meeting all the brisbane girls. They seem like a friendly group.
Mel, I hope AF continues to stay away, I hope you enjoyed your lazy day yesterday.
Kellee, bummer about the BFN. I'm glad the party went well and charlie got lots of presents. How brave of you not to cry until the last line.
Yasin is sitting on my lap trying to type nso I'd best go and find a more constructive way to amuse him.
-
Yay Dasch for the last of the antibiotics. Don't you love when our treasures want to help with computer stuff. Jessica pushed the escape button twice while I was writing an email the other day and I had to start over. Needless to say the content of the email was very brief by the time I got to the 3rd time of starting again.
Bon- so good to see you back, hope you are feeling better soon, I can relate to the better eating thing, I think we often neglect ourselves when we are busy. I think I am about the only 1 not ttc or pg, yoiu girls can keep that for yourselves I think. LOL. If it accidently happened then ok, but I douibt that very much!
ANyway best be going and doing something lol, house isn't too bad but I have washing to fold, and my bag to pakc, kids to dress etc.
Have a great day everyone
Michelle

Hi guys!
Just popping in to check up on you all. Looks like you're doing fine without me *sniff sniff*.
The gals in the next forum are rad, so tell your bubs to hurry up and turn one already! Only joking... I know you don't want them to grow up!
Not much to report. I'm procrastinating because I don't want to study. I'm giving myself 15 more minutes and then NO MORE FORUMS!
Anyway, haven't tested again because I don't think I'm pregnant this month. I have felt a few period cramps, so I think that blooy af is on her way. Oh well, 3rd time lucky I suppose...
Must dash. Looking forward to meeting Mel and and Michelle tomorrow... wish the rest of you could be there too!
Love Kellee.
-
hi girls
okay i am going to try and do personals - what a catch up, i haven't done any as usually there is not much chatting going on but wow there is a bit of catching up. i will scroll down as far as i can.
kellee - lmao not wanting to study and spending all your time cruising the forums lmao. charlies party sounded like it was lovely, hope your asthma attack wasn't too serious. catching up with michelle and the other brissie girls sounds like fun hope you have a great day. have you done another hpt, when is af due - good luck for all that. i have done 2 tests both bfn did one on saturday and monday but am due for af tommorrow if i don't get it buy saturday i will be a hpt to do on sunday morning. it's good i have no money till tommorrow so i can't go and buy one today and mum will be with me tommorrow and she will ask me to many questions if i bought one tommorrow lol.
michelle - when are you leaving to go to qld today or tommorrow you lucky duck we were meant to be heading up to see my brother, sil and neice (they are on the sunshine coast) but we are trying hard to pay some debts off (mainly our c/card) and once that has happened we will start to save to go up. having said that i think i would prefer to go up alone lol like you arhh a lovely few days without the family just what the doc ordered. have a great time.
bon - hi there. in an ideal way i would love for lani to be a bit older before ttc another jay was 4 1/2 when i had lani and it has been wonderful, jessica was 21mths when i had jay and it was hard - great but tiring but you get through. i must admit i do enjoy having them further apart as you can spend a little more time with them and enjoy it a bit more without being in a fog all the time. re not feeling right maybe get a blood test done - i did a month or so ago as i was feeling crapola and my iron levels were extremely low - since my intake of alot more red meat and switching back to the blackmore pregnancy and breastfeeding vitamins i have been feeling better.
dachlostar - hope yassin is feeling better and those nappies are kinder to you lol. i remember only to well when prg with jay and jess's teething nappies omg it was shocking - also when prg with lani, there was a few yucky times when i had to help jay wiping arhhhh i hate morning sickness, i hope it all eases up for you in the near future. hope you have a great visit with your dad, i wouldn't worry about cleaning up, rest up you need it.
melbee - how are you going, have you done a test yet. fingers crossed you get your bfp. a lazy day sounds lovely. so you are going to meet up with the other girls how cool hope you all have a lovely time.
well for me not much going on - lani has cut number 6 tooth so hopefully we will get a little rest from teething for a while, she is still being a little bugger waking between 5 and 5.30 i just give her a bottle and put her back to bed but then i have to wake her up around 8 so we are not late to go to kinder i seem to be forever rushing around lol. i think it is getting lighter and the birds are chirping earlier and rather than going back to sleep she probably realises she is hungry i have sometimes been tempted to just give her the bottle in the cot but then i think of all the bad things that can happen and she usually drains the bottle in less than 10mins so i just sit there and give it to her and put her back down. she seems to have been doing a bit better with keeping her dummy with her (well dummies she has 2 lol) and doesn't seem to toss them, i guess she realises it is not a game and if she really wants them she will keep hold of them lol. i was considering taking them away all together, they stay in her cot and she only has them when sleeping, she even takes them off and gives them to me when she wakes which is cute, but i have relented and let her have them, as long as she looks after them lmao.
well sun is shining and have changed all the beds and done heaps of washing, time to do folding and ironing. plus jay what is with him lately he is going through some major growth spurt he is eating every 5mins and constantly saying he is hungry - i have literally no food in the house, although he has just asked for ice cream wtf he usually only has that for desert. he is eating so much dinner lately almost as much as me - i am starting to wonder if he has worms lmao.
better go and get the ice cream
take care all
-
bon - hope you are feeling better & that grace has been having a better day
dach - how did it go with your dad's fiance - i was thinking of you as i know it must have been hard - guess by now yasin's poo's are back to normal!
michelle - it was great to meet you today & see some photos of your gorgeous kids - hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in brisbane
kellee - also great to meet you & of course charlie - he is such a cutie
mooshie - how is lani's teething & sleeping going - eliana has settled back into sleeping in - actually DP gets her up & brings her to me just before he leaves for work - got any ice cream left?
AF came for me this afternoon - no idea why she was so late but will keep trying to keep her away for 9 months - we met up with kellee & charlie, ambah & aidyn, michelle & christy today \:D/ was great to put some faces to the typing - i was doing some vacuuming this morning & eliana went hysterical, seems she now doesn't like the noise - that's fine by me cause DP can now it - any excuse to not to have to do housework :D
-
hi there
melissa - bugger about af turning up, i wish she would turn up for me so we can get onto trying again this month - she still hasn't arrived and i am usually 28 days to the dot sometimes 29 - have done 3 tests but all bfn, last one was yesterday, if af hasn't shown i will test again sunday so waiting waiting for me.
lani is doing well with her sleeps and she has 6 teeth through now so that is good hopefully a few weeks rest before the others start coming, she is still waking at 5.30am for a bottle and then goes straight back down again but as i said it is making my mornings sooooooo busy i usually wake her around 8am so i can get ds off to kinder on time, just wish she would go back to 7am wakeups as it was working really well with that and having naps between 9am and 11am then 2pm and 4pm but alas no she has other ideas - ah well these are the things that are meant to try us aren't they.
michelle hope you had a great meet up with the girls and the weather is super up there - it is raining today yucky, at least i got to try out the new coat i got for lani the other day lol. better not rain tommorrow, last day of auskick for us and its presentation day so i want to take heaps of photos to do a auskick page, haven't told jay he will get a trophy (all kids get them) so he will be sooooooo excited when he gets one.
well best be off to do dinner now and go to the toilet and check the nickers again lmao (sorry girls that was way tmi) but i am so waiting for af to turn up, it's driving me crazy.
have a good one - i may pop on again tonight, or i may not as i got some more scrapping supplies today and i am a bit inspired to do a few pages - we'll seee lol.
bye
-
Whoa!!
Busy busy women!!
I cant chat just wanted to say hi and that I'll write more on the weekend!
How did the meet up go guys? We're tyring to get a WA one but there arent too many enthusaiatic ones of us!!
-
pee - the meet up was great - it was good to finally put some faces to the typing!
mooshie - has AF turned up yet? i hate it when she is late for no reason - hope lani is still doing well with her sleeps
not alot happening here - have had a pretty quiet & relaxing weekend so it has been good - plus DP has been very helpful around the house - for once!!!
hope everyone else had a more exciting weekend
-
Welcome Snowy and Wolf to this forum.
Happy 9 months Wolf! :)
-
Hey girls
I am on my way home tomorrow, had a chance to catch up so thought I'd see how you all are.
Mel- so nice to meet you and Eliana is gorgeous. Bugger AF, oh well back to the bedroom LOL
Michelle- hope Af is still away LOL wouldn't that be amazing since you really thought you wouldn't be.
Welcome Snowy and Wolf. Your arrival means I don't have long left in here, that's sad.
I have had a nice time, shopping heaps, not that I brought much, just enjoyed being at the shops childless, lOL, got a haircut and new style. Am missing the kids and Arron, find I feel a bit lost sometimes as I haev nothing to do.LOL Who would have thought I'd worry about that.
Hope everyone is well and i will catch up when I get home.
Best wishes Michelle
-
michelle - glad you had a great time away & it was also good to meet you - funny about you feeling lost but by the time you get back home you will definately have forgotten that lost feeling!! you will have to send photos of your new haircut & let us know what arron thinks of the change - hope the kids still recognise you!
i've decided it's time to get serious about losing some weight but because im lazy im thinking of doing one where the food is delivered to your house - will have to check if it's ok to do it while breastfeeding plus TTC - at least it will be healthy food from what ive seen on their website
eliana is getting around a bit more - not too far but she kind of bops along on her bum - is cute to watch but generally doesn't move more than a metre or so - she is loving music - anytime she hears it she starts bopping away - am looking into kindermusik at the moment to see whether it is worth it
time to get eliana to sleep though she is enjoying playschool right now!
-
hi girls
michelle welcome back to sunny melbourne NOT lol it is pouring over here today, typical lol. hope you had a really great time
snowy welcome to you and wolf and to the little snowmonkey #2 growing in there, how are things with you.
melbee hope you had a nice relaxing weekend. i did a thing called mini maestro's for jay when he was around 2yrs old and he did it for 2 yrs and loved it. i am going to be slack with lani, probably only put her in a playgroup for next year, only really because of the cost of things. i would love for her to do swimming but jay does it and it costs $130 per term, he started when he was 3 and is really confident now, it would be different if we had a pool but i just can't justify spending that much money for lani when she is only really learning about water familirsation. i did it with my first when she was 6mths old for a few terms but she got way to many ear infections and it really was a bit of a waste, so i just take what i have learnt from watching and we do most of it in the bath at night.
well af arrived for me on saturday the stupid cow was 2 days late (she is never late) arrh i wasted my money on 3 tests so i am not going to buy any this month and will wait until 5 days after i am due for af YEAH RIGHT she says lol, should be a bit easier though for the two week wait as i will be right in the middle of organising lani's first birthday extravangza lol, that is what i call it 65 adults and 40 kids, invites are out so will know if a week or so exactly how many - my dh was saying as i was writing them out the other night now who else can we invite sheesh doesn't he think that is enough - probably around 1/2 is his family anyone, that is why i am calling it an extravaganza lol.
hope you all have a good day and michelle hope you had a nice warm jumper on when you landed back in melbourne,.
-
Hi everyone
Michelle - hope that you get your BFP this cycle then, damn AF! Thanks for your advice, I have been thinking that I could be low in iron. I started AF last week and I think that made me feel so crappy, cause I am feeling more normal now.
My mum is here to stay for 2 weeks, but she is gone everyday because she is doing a course in Brisbane. But it is good to have her here, and she is making me eat well!
Mel - I think the food in those diets is pretty well nutritionally balanced, but because you are bf you might find you have to eat a bit more than is recommended to cover the extra nutritional demands of breastfeeding. But they will let you know about that anyway!
Hope everyone is well
Bon
-
Thanks for the welcome home Michelle- it's def cold back home, 8 deg in melb on arrival, very sad, but had to come back, missed everyone. jessica looks like she's grown, must be all the junk food they have been eating while I was away, and she isn't just walking anymore, she is runningLOL. She is soooo gorgeous.
mel- good idea to ask about BF and TTC before signing up, Good luck cos it's def tough losing weight. How cute Eliana moving that way LOL. Gotta get that on video!
Bon- hope you work out the iron thing, and great to have a visitor, maybe yuo guys can sneak out for dinner a few times while she is down LOL. What course is she doing.
How are you Snowy and how's Wolf?
Dasch- how are things at your place? When does your Dad leave?
Hope Alana is well Lara!
I don't think I missed anyone, if I did very sorry!
I am staying home tonight, will scrap next Monday, am looking forward to dinner with the family and cuddles with them and also with Arron, I missed him! But I am so tired as well, I was awake at 5.45am this morning and 6.15am every other morning while I was away. My BIL's car got towed on Fri nigth when we went out for dinner, the place he parked had changed their signs to say towing and we didn't realise, so I felt terrible cos he spent $95 on dinner and then had to pay $250 to get his car back. These places would be so rapt at making such easy money. And my sister just kept going on and on about it cos she was so ****ed off, I know they won't be parking there again.LOL
Oh well hope everybody is fine
Cheers michelle
-
mooshie - pity we can't get our money back on negative pregnancy tests- they should come with some sort of guarantee - good luck with this month - im just taking a very laid back approach & if it happens it happens - your extravaganza sounds like it will be a great day, just make sure you take heaps of photos to show lani! i know what you mean about the cost of things - luckily at baby expo i got a voucher for 1/2 price swimming lessons which i will start in a few months - still looking into the music thing
bon - i got an email back from trim a weigh & they recommended 1400 a day to keep up with breastfeeding - the food looks so yummy & i guess after being on it for awhile will give me an idea of what i should be eating - will start next week as i need to eat stuff in the fridge/freezer to make room - hope you are enjoying your mum staying with you
michelle - glad to hear you got back to cold melbourne - did arron like your new hairstyle? that is bad about the parking ticket - where was it? guess BIL should have checked the sign! im sure the kids are happy to have mum back
haven't seen snowy or dach in here lately so i hope their boys are thriving & their pregnancies are going well
im having quite a boring week so far - nothing planned till thursday then it's busy till monday - guess i should do some stuff around the house but might take eliana out for a walk - it still makes me laugh the way she is moving around :)
-
Hi girls! Here we are! I can't believe my little man is 3/4 year old!
He is cutting his first tooth (I only realised when he bit me in my big toe Sat night, lol)
Will have to read up on all the previous posts - so sorry for no personals atm.
Busy packing our household - 6 days until we move!
Snowy
-
hi girls
how are we all today
michelle - how was last night back at home, always nice to go away but it really is nice to get back in your own bed isn't it. did everyone like your new haircut. whenever i get my haircut ds just says it looks the same bless him
melbee - boring weeks can be good sometimes. i haven't worked now for 7yrs and i go through a real down phase every few months or so of being bored etc etc. i take the kids for walks and i think gosh it is quiet am i the only one with a boring life lol - sometimes i do miss working in the grownup world but i am so thankful and lucky that i can be at home to raise my kiddies.
snowy - yay on wolf cutting his first tooth - they come through in blazes now - lani has cut number 6, but her cheeks are firey red atm so it looks like another one or two may be on the way - she won't open her mouth to let me check tho. and omg i just saw your ticker - 14wks gone i can't believe how quickly time goes it feels like only yesterday i was reading that you were expecting again. good luck in the move - i hate moving let alone to a different country.
well i really should do something around the house i suppose.
have a good day
-
Michelle- IKWYM about feeling bored sometimes, seems like when I am finally not working everyone I know starts working LOL, Oh well, I will be back fulltime in 2011 so I have to try make the most of the time I have off, but I will be glad to get back than I think. All the kids will be at school and we will be poor LOL And as for the haircut, Arron said I have had a simialr cut bf so no biggie, thought that would happen lOL. I like it so that's all that matters.
Snowy- good luck with the move, there must be heaps involved moving vountry, so glad I'm not doing it. When we brought our house we moved down the rd and around the corner and that was bad enough. Your Dh got a job in England didn't he?
Mel- hope you aren't too bored and the food sounds lovely, when do you start? Arron did miss me and I missed them all too, wouldn't want to do it too often.
Anyway, nothing much happening, I am sweating on Yvette giving birth to her twins today, waters were broken this morning, I hope things are going well.
Catch up soon
Michelle
-
hi girls
well it is quiet in here isn't it - we msut all be super busy. i have been on checking out the posts but haven't found the time to sit and post myself.
all is going well ehre - lani say's her brothers name now she crawls around saying ay ay ay for jay it is sooooooo cute. she has gone back to waking up happpy (no crying just chatting) at 7am which is great dunno what those hungry wake ups at 5am were about. and she is cruising the furniture which is all too cute today she actually took one step from the lounge to me so that was exciting although she was very unsure, so i am thinking it will be a while before she is walking yet wish she would hurry up i hate the crawling stage - too close to the ground to put things in her mouth (she had a wheel of a matchbox car lastnight in her mouth) and not to mention how filthy she gets lol.
well i am going to bed to read a trashy magazine am scrapbooking tommorrow night so it will be a late one for me and of course i am busy organising her 1st birthday for the 11th - invites are out and rsvp's have been filtering in, have ordered a jumping castle and a face painter for the older kiddies should be a fun day - lets hope the weather will be kind to us there is no way i am having 60 adults and 40 kids inside my house lol.
take care

Hi ladies, i hope you're all well and your bubs too.
Michelle, It sounds like you enjoyed your holiday but its always nice to get home too isn't it. I'm a bit envious of you having a nice new hairstyle. I need a haircut so badly but i never seem to get time. Whenver my hairdresser is open and I ask DH to look after Yasin so I can get a cut he makes some stupid excuse.
Mel, I hope you're over your boring week. Sometimes I get reaaly bored too but then Yasin always does something funny that reminds me how lucky I am to be a mum.
Michelle, grrr at Af arriving doesn't she know when she's not wanted. You're going to be flat out for tne next couple of weeks with lani's party coming up. How did Jay's dress up day go? What did you end up making him?
Bon, Its good to see you. I hope you're enjoying having your mum to stay.
Snowy, have the floods affected anyone in your family? I hope they're all OK. You must be flat out packing now and I bet its heaps more difficult with a baby helping you.
My Dad is getting married in England in October. My sister and I have decided to go to over for the wedding so I've just sent off Yasin's passport application. His photo looks so cute. I'm a bit nervous about making such a long journey with him and then nearly two weeks in Englad. On the flight home my sister won't be with me so it will just be me and Yasin  #-o
DH has been a total DH this week so I'm not talking to him. He's forgotten to get a present for his niece's 1st birthday and I'm not going to bother reminding him tehehe. SIL wanted $100 presents for her but she'll be lucky to get anything from us. SIL has really been annoying me lately because her daughter is a bully and she doesn't bother pulling her up on it. The staff at her child care center have spoken to SIL about it and it seems to have gone totally over her head that they've bought it up because they are concerned not because they think its a big joke. Whenever I take Yasin to play with my friend's babies if they snatch toys from each other we make them give them back but when DH's niece does it SIL just laughs at it and lets her do it. Am I being too uptight to think that if a one year old pushes another baby and takes its toy that thier mother should take the toy take away and give it back to the baby that it was taken from?

hi dachlostar
arrhh at your sil some people grrr they honestly have no idea.
england nice you will be fine with yasin and travelling what an adventure sheesh i didn't even have a passport till i was 19 lol.
jay ended going to kinder as batman after all that - as it was book week they needed to dress up as a character from a favourite book, he wanted star wars but we had no book on star wars and i just could not find one anywhere so we compromised and he was happy to go as batman - and i made "bat bisuits" in the shape of bats it was good and the best thing was i asked his teacher to keep an eye on what he ate (he has a nut allergy) and she said we should be proud of him because before he ate anything new he would go up to the teacher and ask before eating it "has this got nuts in it" am so proud of my boy he must really be listening to me lmao.
night am really going now my eyes are closing lol
-
snowy - the time is going fast - soon they will be one - how is the packing going - where in london will you be living? good luck with the move
mooshie - that is so cute that lani is saying ay - its amazing to think in just a short time everything they learn - lol at crawling & ending up messy - eliana is exploring more (not crawling) & i have no idea how she finds the smallest piece of something - glad jay's batman was a success
mitch4now - hope all is well with your kids & you aren't missing the sun too much!
dach - that is so exciting to be going to england - maybe you can meet up with snowy? im sure yasin will be fine on the flight back with you - usually the air hostess (or whatever they are called now) help out -well they have on my flights with JAL
my week didn't turn out to be that boring - i went out shopping with eliana yesterday & bought her more clothes!! only cause finally i have found some clothes i like that arent pink - DP told me the other night that he doesn't think he is ready for another baby & not sure if he wants another one (which im having a hard time dealing with) he wants to wait till eliana is 1 so hopefully her cuteness will have changed his mind by then - i told him i wouldnt go back on the pill so contraception is now up to him! i'm going to a scrapbooking party tomorrow afternoon - never been to one so it should be fun plus interesting to see how DP copes while im gone
have a great weekend :)

Michelle I'm still around. Thanks for wondering. Alana is doing really well. In fact last night we felt her first tooth coming through, Finally! Poor Frank found out when she bit down on his finger.
Anyway not sure what is going on with me, but I am all over the place. One minute great and then the next terrible. I am wondering if its the implanon. My doctor has sent me to get some blood test etc, so we will see.
Dach grr at SIL. And how exciting about going to England. I'm sure the trip with Yasin will be great.
Mooshie sounds like Lani will be walking by herself real soon.
Snowy yay on Wolfs tooth. I hope you move is a smooth one.
Hi to everyone else.
Got to go, need to bath Alana and get tea ready.
-
gotta hurry have to pick up the pizza.
Lara- so glad to see you, I have heard only bad things when people are on the implanon, I had an IUD once and it was good, took awhile to settle spotting wise, but my gf has had hers in for 2 yrs now and swears by it.
Michelle- how's the party planning going, our invites are out for the 11th also, I have heard a few people can't come as they are busy, going away etc, and I am not worried in the slightest as we invited 87 adults and 32 kids, the less the merrier LOL
Gotta go Arron is screaming at me to get pizza and i can't think
Cheers Michelle
-
Ok Well I am back, I am annoyed too cos I had to get the pizza cos Arron had a few beers at the TAB! So he shouldn't carry on at me! Oh and he is watching cricket and yelling and screaming, we are in fgor a lovely night LOL
Dasch- sounds exciting going to Eng;and for the wedding. I am sure you'll be fine on the way back, cos you will have already had the experience of flying over. I still don't have a passport cos I haven't been out of Australia yet, not likely either while the kids are little!
Snowy- saw the floods over there and they are awful, hope you are all ok and safe, and also hope you are going ok witht hte packing.
Mel- I am not missing the sun too much it is supposed to be a lovely weekend here so looking forward to maybe doing some wedding (I must be nuts!)
Michelle- hope your scrap night goes well.
Anyway I am sorry for anyone I missed, we only have 7 sleeps until Jessica's first bday! I am very sad!!!!
Cheers Michelle

iris - i was shocked to read about alana getting hit in the face - kind of scary to think that could happen & what a dreadful child to do it to her - did alana's tooth come through yet? hope it was trouble free
michelle - lol about the pizza - men can be so impatient! how's the party planning going - only a few more days & you will be out of here :(
we had a good weekend - well i had a good weekend - went to a scrapbooking party on saturday & i am soooooooooo hooked - it was so much fun & good to get out by myself though i did have to go find a handbag as i didnt need to take a nappy bag :D DP had fun watching eliana - he gave her vegetables instead of yoghurt for a snack but she got her own back with a huge poo & then weed all over him (would have loved to have seen that but it was a huge eye opener for his single mate that was helping him out) sunday we went to ikea & then to DP's mum but i went to spotlight by myself & stocked up on scrapbooking things
eliana looks like she might finally start crawling soon - she is moving like she is interested so will see how she progresses during the week
hope everyone had a great weekend

hi girls
michelle can you believe it was 12mths ago when we were sitting there on belly belly counting down the days and complaining about being preg lol, i can't believe it has gone so quickly. i was thinking the other day hmmm this time last year i technically had 1wk to go - i was so sure i would have lani on her due date 5th sept, little did i know she had other ideas lmao. so sad jessica is turning 1, really this year has gone quicker than any other - i remember when my jessica was a baby the days and months just dragged on - i guess that is just part of being a first time mum for me dunno i suppose now i am so busy running here there and everywhere that bang it is time to go to bed lol.
larai to read on poor alana being punched, am so glad you told the little **** off, arhhh some people just let there kids run wild they ought to be kicked up the backside. also huge congratulations on your engagement lovely news for you all.
melbee oh no sounds like you have caught the scrapping bug lmao. there is a forum on scrapbooking now - so you can get heaps of info there, also michelle and i are seasoned scappers lmao, i have been doing it for around 2yrs now, i think michelle has been longer. i mainly do creative memories stuff, i love there cutting system and there albums are nicer imo - only downside is that they are more expensive - but i just save $20 a week and allow myself $100 a month on supplies when i go to a workshop. sometimes i get stickers and card stock from lincraft, spotlight and scrapping shops but mainly creative memories - they have some really nice new stuff out now.
had a great night friday night scrapping - did a double page on christmas 2001 - i was quite teary when journelling as there was a lovely family photo and poor jessie was in the middle of chemo when it was taken so she looked quite sick - i teared up and couldn't write, i didn't want to put a dampner on the night so i took a few deep breathes and grabbed a coffee. that just goes to show there is no way i could attempt jessica's album yet. i got home at 1.30am and i felt like i had a hangover on saturday, even had a nanna nap lmao and went to bed at 10pm with a trashy new idea magazine lmao. yesterday i went with a friend to jells park it was lovely we pushed the pram with the girls and the two boys rode their bikes, then we had lunch at the tea house, my girlfriend's baby is 6wks younger than lani (her name is alana) and they both had the same pink pumpkin patch tracksuits on = they looked like twins lucky i had the camera with me - took some lovely pics.
well not much else to report lovely washing day here today so must get on with it. dh is going to be walking around with a big smile on his face all week as we are right in the middle of bdancing time lmao.
have a good day
-
mooshie - it was with creative memories that i did my scrapbooking & have been looking on ebay for their tools etc - i can't wait to do more pages - i started with photos of eliana from birth (just the hospital ones) ended up doing two pages in the class cause i had so many photos!
sorry you were sad doing your christmas page but at least you have heaps of precious memories of jessica & when the time is right you will be able to create the most beautiful album :D now i will go find the scrapbooking forum - at least it has taken my mind of the fact that DP wants to wait till next year to TTC
-
mel
just be careful when buying scrapping stuff on ebay - i know a few people who have paid higher prices especially with the creative memories stuff. alot of the creative memories stuff on there is not available in australia but it comes in a few months after i have seen it on ebay - for example one girl on friday night was showing us her new punches she brought of ebay - two cost her $60 including postage and they cost $20 each through creative memories - she got hers a few months ago and creative memories have them now. my girlfriend is now a creative memories consultant she is really good and has fantastic ideas and we go to her place once a month for a workshop - last friday she had 12 girls so it was quite busy, but i love it, and i do heaps at home usually on the weekends after the kiddies have gone to bed.
sorry your dh is wanting to put of ttc until next year but just think if i do fall prg again soon then by the time you get prg and have your next little one i know for sure i will be clucky all over again and want to do it again lmao. good things come to those who wait eh. and enjoy the time you have with eliana now cause once you have another you wonder what on earth you did with all your time with just one lmao that's what happened to me anyway. if age was on my side i would ideally be waiting until lani was at least 3yrs old before ttc as i had 21mths between my first two and it was good but time consuming whereas having 4 1/2 yrs between jay and lani has been great, it is like having one child again somedays with jay off and kinder or friends houses and i am really enjoying the time i am spending with lani and jay understands the hard work babies can be sometimes, not to mention she will only take solids off a spoon from her big brother lol - so great to be able to cook tea and have jay feed his sister.
anyway better go and get organised
-
mooshie - thanks for the tips about ebay - ive only been looking at creative memories things that are in the book & price list i was given so i have an idea what they are worth - ive booked a class for the 10th at my place so hopefully will get 8 so i can get a free album - can you please tell me where the scrapbooking forum is?
i know it would have been alot of work having the babies close together but i knew i would have coped - two years apart will be good - i just worry about all the stuff you hear being over 35 etc (im 35 in nov) i was just so looking to being pregnant again (which suprised me considering i had bad m/s & panic attacks) its all still a bit raw & i feel numb but at least i have something to look forward to :)

Hi girls
Melbee- you're in for it now, once you start scrapping you never stop cos it makes you just take millions of photos, that is if you don't have that many already LOL, I LOVE taking photos and didn't think much of it until I started scrpping, now i take series of pics which will be a page LOL. If you look carefully on ebay you can find some good bargains, you really need to know your prices. I too love cret mem custom sutting system, but I can't afford the albums etc. While it is disappointing having to wait for ttc no.2 at least you will get that alone time with Eliana, cos Michelle's right it is busy with 2 close together. Arron wasn't happy that Jessica and Jemma were 18mths apart cos he was worried Jemma wouldn't get the same attention that jordan and Joshua did, they were 5 yrs apart and there is 3 and a half yrs bt Joshua and jemma. They still get al the hugs and kisses they need but I am way tireder having them close. I'm sure it will turn out the way it's supposed to.
michelle- I blinked and 12 mths was almost gone. Not fair! I get teary just thinking about my baby being 1! I am not doing much party wise yet, just waiting to see how many I will have and then I'll do it in the week bf the party. It has turned out that BIL is arriving the day bf Jordan's bday now too, so we won't be having hordes of people here so that's good for us! The page you did sounds lovely. Giving yourself time before doing Jessie's album is a very good idea, you will know when the time is right and in the meantime you can keep taking pics of the others, if you're like me you won't run out ! how are you going party prep wise? Good luck with the bding Fest!
Lara- how did I miss the part abuot Alana being hit? How'd the tooth go?
Hello to Snowy- hope the move is going well, and Dasch- hope you are feeling ok and Yasin isn't being too cheeky and running all around the place yeT! and Pee- hope Things are good for you too, and that Ryley is behaving, his bday is not far away too, how are you feeling about that.
Anyone else I missed!
Jessica had her first play outside yesterday after the christening (we ended up going), she had an absolute ball, she will be hard to keep inside once she works out how to open the door!
have a good day everyone
Michelle

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well and your babies too.
I bought Yasin his first pair of shoes on saturday so that I can let him walk outdoors if he wants to. He's so funny in them. He sits down and refuses to stand up and when he does finally stand and walk he start picking his feet up really high. I geuss that we won't get much wear out of them #-o . The lady who fitted them said he had fat feet :-s which is a bit wierd because the rest of him is very skinny indeed. He eats like a horse but he just stays skinny. Every time he gets plumper he seems to lose it all within a week or two.
DH and I ended up not going to SILs party. I don't know what excuse he made (probably work - his family must think he works 24/7 ;) ) but we spent a lovely day relaxing, doing a bit of shopping and watching movies.
Michelle, IKWYM about being a bit teary because Jesssica is almost one. Sometimes I feel a bit the same way especially since Yasin is in such a hurry to do everything. He's walking more and more now. He hardly ever crawls unless he's in a real hurry and this morning he walked in a hurry :( so I geuss that he's almost over the crawling.
Mel, I'm sorry you have to delay TTC for a while. Sometimes I think I should have waited because of the hard work aspect and also because I feel a bit sorry for Yasin that he'll suddenly have to adjust to having to share his parents. On the other hand I'm really looking forward to watching Yasin and his sibling growing up together. I geuss that whatever the gap is between siblings it has its pros and cons.
Michelle, good luck with the BD fest. I hope we're reading about your BFP in a couple of weeks.
Sorry to hear that the Christmas photo was so upsetting. One day you'll make a gorgeous ablbum for Jessie.
How are your party preparations going? I'm not sure what to do about Yasin's party. Its in the middle of Ramadan so my original idea of a picnic is out and I have to plan something for night time. my house is too small to have a big party here so I'm kind of stumped for ideas that don't involve hiring a function room. Maybe a BBQ by the beach would be nice but most places turn off the BBQs at dusk.
Lara, I hope that you have recovered from the punching incident. You've got to watch out for those first teeth. They're sooo sharp. I found that out when I got my boob bitten. I was scared of losing a nipple every feed for a week afterwards.
Snowy, I hope that the move is going well for you. I hate moving - I always manage to lose something and injure myself trying to pack. DH and I are planning to move somewhere bigger in about 6-8 weeks so we'll have to start looking soon. I'm hoping that DH can move us while I'm on holiday. It will keep his mind off being lonely. He's planning to go to QLD to play golf with my brother and his best friend but that will only be for 3 days so he'll need something else to keep him busy for the rest of the time. I think he's going to miss Yasin like crazy. He misses him when he has to work late so I'm not sure how he'll cope with a long seperation.

Mel - welcome to the addictive world of scrapbooking - lol HERE is the scrapbooking forum, it's in House, Home and Money.
