Hey girls,
Thanks for that, its made me feel alot better about things. I know we all drift apart at different stages in life, just sometimes when you need friends around, they arent! Funny how they drift back in too!! I just went and saw a friend of mine who has a 5 week old. Ive known her since we were born...good friends until we went to high school and have seen each other occasionally throughout the years. Now we're back in contact!!!
Mel- i want to do something like youve done, so i just need to look at stuff and do it.
Kel- good luck at your appointment.
OK- squeeler..got to run!!!
-
good morning,
Mel - Glad you feel better, sometimes you just need to hear other people are in the same boat IYKWIM?
Kel - How was your appt? Is the little man ready to party? I am intrigued - what did this alleged friend do to you?
Dis - How are you feeling now? Dinner and breakfast again? I hope we like it up there too - I have started a big "pro" list for the seachange on our big chalkboard in our kitchen and have told DH to help fill it - he wrote "beaches" and "baby no2" LOL!!
Us - Beaus teeth are bad - I knew once we moved he would go back to short day sleeps - thats when I have to pack! 3 boxes yesterday....and a chair half painted!
Ok gotta lather him up with sm 33 I think.
Love to all

Yay! I'm so excited! Ben said his first sentence this morning!!! Only two words, but the way I carried on, you would have thought he'd written a novel  Mum takes him onto the front porch each morning to wave to me as I head off to work. This morning she'd picked him up and was standing in the hall and he pointed to the front door and said "Mamma bye-bye!". Ooooh, it was so adorable! I missed my train because I was too busy telling him how clever he was  I'm so glad I got to hear it :)

Hello girls,
Mel, I'm feeling ok, thanks. Over being pg, but that's to be expected I guess! I have a sore back, my pelvis feels like it's going to fall apart, I can't sleep properly (besides having a toddler who's allergic to sleep) and my ribs feel stretched to the max! I don't know if I'm the best role model to have, LOL!! I think I'm going to be a basket case for a while, hehehe! I'm lucky DH is going to be home for 5ish wks.
Jen, poor Beau with his teeth, I hope they've settled a bit for him.
My appt went well I guess...baby is still posterior, but head down. Not engaged and no other signs of making an arrival! But he's well and so am I, so that's all that matters. Well the story with my ex best friend....long story short, a yr before I got married, I decided to go and live a little, wanting to go travelling a bit before being 'tied down'! So BF and I organised a holiday to go to Bali at first then we were going to go on from there, maybe europe or somewhere. We had everything organised and were about 2wks out of d-day before leaving. She called me and was trying to talk me out of it, saying she was scared (sooo not her) about going there (pre Bali bombings, so no reason for being scared) yada yada...and I kept on saying no we're going, we've paid we can't get our money back. She then said if I could try to find someone else to take her ticket, I said no, DH (DF at the time) couldn't get time off at short notice and neither could anyone else. So in the end she just told me she had a better offer from an old boyfriend to do something else with him and she wasn't coming with me. I never spoke to her again, never found out what she thought was more urgent and important that going with me. I was so devistated and upset that she'd do that, much less having lost our money. In hindsite I should have gone alone, but I didn't. And that's it. I regret not finding out what was up with her, and don't know where she is now. I would love to find out now!!
Dis, glad to hear you're feeling better, I hope it continues!!
I can second the coast being a great place too. We used to have a caravan up there and would go there every 2nd weekend until my parents divorced. Then Dad moved up there, so I have spent lots of time up there. I love it. It's a definate option for us to move there when we can afford it.
Ok Lil's up, gotta go...
-
Hey All,
Glad your appointment went well Kel- doesnt look like you'll get you bundle on 8/8/08!!! Alan had put up a thread about birthing posterior babies...did you manage to read it??? Olivia turned for me at the last minute, but wow she gave me a back ache!!!
Oh how I am loving Olivia starting to communicate properly with me:) Last night I sat down to watch Home and Away (please dont judge me!!!). She jumped on the couch with me, laid her had on the arm rest and started waving...then she goes nigh nighs!!!OMG I dont think I moved quick enough!!! 720 and she was in bed with a bottle and asleep:) I usually put her in bed at 8pm. Then to top it off she slept til 730 this morning:0 She did come into bed with me around 5am though coz dh went to shut her door (coz he starts early) and woke her up. Took about 20 minutes to settle her and she was asleep. Oh its fantastic!!
Ok, so on my boasting note, I am going to go and do some stuff for dh. Hes off tomorrow on a 4wd trip til Sunday night (again). next week we are off to Brissie to a wedding and then the following week DH is away for a week at the snow...oh the life men have!!!! So looking for some hobbies!!!
Take care and have a great day:)
-
Mel, isn't it awesome how they really are little boys and girls now and not babies. A little sad too, but it's great to start seeing them develop so much. Lately I've noticed HUGE leap forward in Ben's development, it's really a fun time.
Have a nice trip to Brissie next week - I'd LOVE a holiday :)
Kel, bub still has time to move. Looks like Mel's right though and no 08/08/08 bub for you!
Ben gave us another sentence yesterday. "Done poo" Lovely! How funny are they? He points to all his body parts now too when you ask. We avoid the nose though because instead of touching it, he sticks his finger up it and thinks it's hilarious  I just have so much fun with him atm :)
Have a good day :)
-
Gosh Girls I wish I shared your enthusiasm today! I have a whinging cling on the past week or so - his teeth were bleeding last night and the days are .............. not fun:(
I just wish he could talk some times - I know what he wants but its everything he is not allowed!!!!! Then he says "uh uh" while he is doing it!!!
I just have to sit and read to him or watch abc 2 with him all day. All the outside things he normaly likes he is over and chucks little tanties - but the whinging noise about everything!!!!! Oh I feel like putting my ipod in.
Sorry for the me rant - I am just having a crap day.
I am getting rammed like im in a scrum - better go.
-
Jen, you poor thing. Don't worry, we all have those bad days! Ouch on poor Beau's bleeding gums!
Are you over the books? I am SO over Ben's favourite books! He drives me nuts with them!
Ben smacks his own hand before and after he turns our tele off  It's funny that they know they aren't allowed to do it but do it anyway! Well, funny to me today, probably not so funny to you. :(
Ben was doing that whinging noise last night when he wanted me to read a book (again!) and I told him that if he wanted me to read with him he had to say "Mummy can you read with me?" and not whinge. I then got a "baubualdaguailbaraautalep" to which I said "Much better!" It was just like he was trying to ask. DH and I both cracked up :D
-
i am having a bit of a giggle...arent they georgeous?!?! Mel thats fantastic hes said a few sentances...bet youre as proud as punch. Cant wait til olivia say doing poos too:)
Jen-dont forget that olivias over a month older than Beau- just remember back last month and I was sitting here winging about her saying uh uh to everything...then bang, shes starting to come out with it. Hope his teeth hurry up. Gosh teeth are a pain.
Well I just went and got our nappies from Aldis...enough for 2 months!!! And now I am looking at a dining room setting. We have a wrought iron one with a glass top and I am forever changing the table cloth. I cant keep the glass clean, so I am thinking of getting a wooden one...just off ebay. I am trying to make cleaning easier!!!!
-
Thanks girls,
Sorry for whinging - I know he is in pain so he cant help it.
I think just before I posted I ran into a lady at the park with a two year old who said "are you at the floor throwing tantrum stage yet?" She said "Its like one day they wake up and decide to be ***holes" I think she put me in a negative mood! Like what have i signed up for?????
Feeling much better now, promise to be more positive tomorrow:D
-
Jen, have you tried Brauers Teething Relief? It's homeopathic and I LOVE it. I've gone through bottles of the stuff with Ben. When his teeth are bad, he goes and gets the syringe for it, brings it over to me and points at it. I am much happier using it rather than Nurofen or Panadol - especially over extended time periods. Our nurofen hardly gets used at all now whereas with his earlier teeth, we went through far too much. It might be worth trying. I just get it from a local chemist.

Hi!
Long time no post! I'm all over the place at the moment...just been feeling really tired for some reason...
We're all well though...my tummy's getting huge and a few aches and pains have appeared but not anything too dramatic...
Boys are well!
Have started packing which is exciting - we have 50 days to go!! LOL! I just can't wait to get moved and then I can set up for bubs - I feel like I can't prepare for him at all at the moment...
I'll try and catch up a bit but I've missed soooo much! Oh and for those of you that were worried -no I didn't get stuck in toys at Target! LOL! Although I did have a super huge full trolley and managed to spend a fortune! LOL! Dh asked me the other week what I'd spent and I had to tell him...he wasn't very happy - oh well...LOL! It's going to be so much fun though!
For those of you that are liking "in the night garden" I think it's available at abc stores on dvd...
Disgirl - LOL! Yes we know it's a boy - it's in my ticker - he's going to be named Ethan Michael!
Wow - you were lucky you didnt' get any stretchmarks! I've got super bad ones - so annoyed because I don't usually even get that huge a tummy - and I got them in a different spot with Dylan so I'm expecting to get even more this p/g...
LOL at only 2 af's in the last 2 years...I think I've had maybe 1 since about Jan 2005! LOL!
LOL at planning your holidays! Wow - I'm trying to convince dh to take the kids to wiggles world next year...LOL!
Well - we're obviously having 3 - I would love to go no.4 but so far dh is dead against it...so we shall have to see what happens next year...
Sorry to hear you've all been so sick - how cute of Ben though! Oh no a Ben being sick as well - Dylan threw up last Friday - all his brekky - and then was fine! Luckily I was holding him in the kitchen when we was looking a bit funny so managed to get it all in the basin - lucky because I felt queasy enough at that let alone if I'd had to clean it off him and the floor or carpet or something...
Glad your midwife appt went well!
Good on you for getting involved in all of those activities!!! I'm really hoping to do something like that after bubs is big enough to leave for a couple of hours...I'd love to do a dance class or yoga or pilates or something...something thats a bit for fitness as well as getting out of the house...Only problem is I'm usually not much of a talker to other people - I just keep to myself other than the odd chat...when I was at the gym after I had Dylan I got friendly with a couple of ladies which was nice...every now and then I see one down the shops and have a brief chat...I'd love to get back to the gym but it's so impractical - especially by the time I have 3 babies!! LOL!
How cute of Ben saying his first sentence!! AWwwww...LOL at him smacking his own hand before he doesn something! I'm forever explaining to dh that even though you tell them a million times not to do something the urge to do it is much stronger! He expects them to be little adults sometimes!
Kel - Glad to hear your feeling better - wow - any day now thats for sure! I can't wait to hear an announcement!!! I love Owen as a boys name...that one came up for us but dh wasn't keen...
LOL at Lily being a brat...although I know how hard it can be - Dylans a little terror at the moment - into everythign and chucking major tantrums...although luckily he's only passed out once in the last month or 2...
Geez - isn't it funny how we're all much the same on the friends front - I wonder if thats what brought us all together on BB!! Gosh - what an awful friend to do that to you before you holiday...I don't blame you for not talking to her again - I wouldn't have either!!
Glad your appt went well! I hope it all happens for you soon! It's awful this last bit of time when you're just waiting around for things to happen really!
Jen - Congratulations on selling your house!!! Woohoo!!!! What a relief!! Sounds like you've had a nice celebration as well! Well done!
glad af arrived for you...It will be a much more enjoyable p/g for you if you have your house stuff settled first! (Take it from me - LOL!) It's great that you're feeling more ready now!!
LOL at Beau and his doody - Dylans always at his when he's nappies off...geez - and they never grow out of it - LOL!
Geez Jen - just read a post about you baking a cake - if I'd have read that at the time I probably would have booked a flight and met you for afternoon tea as well - LOL! Now I feel like cake...hehehe.
Yeah at beau not using his dummy - Dylans addicted to his and so is louis still for that matter...we've got get rid of Louis' soon though as he's too big for it now!
Omg Jen - warm weather??? I'm dying for some of that!!! I miss summer so much - I'm so looking forward to our move in spring and the fact that we're moving 15min away from the bay! I've never been so close to water in my life so hopefully we will make the most of it!
Yeah at buying a place up on the central coast!! How nice!! I can understand a little bit about how nervewracking it will be moving...I'm only moving about 40min away from my family/friends etc but I'm really scared that I'll feel a bit lonely etc...also I've lost any babysitters that I have which will be the hardest thing...not that I rely on people all the time but more for when I do activities with the boys individually...not sure how I'll manage that...
Big hugs on Beau's teeth - Ouch! Makes it hard to have a happy baby thats for sure...
Mel - Poor Olivia and her rash...such a hard place around her mouth as well...Yeah at getting some great bargains on maternity clothes - I haven't even been to the shops for me!...Looks like I'm going to have to make do with what I have which isn't much...it's stupid how all the winter stuff goes when it's still freezing cold! I've got a fair bit of summer stuff so hopefully the weather picks up soon! LOL!
Yeah at feeling domesticated - I'm hoping that feeling may return to me with the move...although I did make dh's lunch for tomorrow earlier for the first time in weeks and weeks (or months?) Hmmm I so should invest in a slow cooker...
LOL at being in your pj's early - thats me nearly every night! LOL - get the kids to bed, tidy up and jump into bed with the computer or mags or book or whatever!
Big hugs at trying to decide what you want for yourself! It is hard sometimes...sorry to hear your friend went all strange as well...very weird. Sounds like swimming is a good start! I'm a bit the same but everytime I get into a mode of wanting to do something for myself I'm p/g again and I just keep putting it off until I'm finished breeding...I think I will seriously look forward to the time where I get to go back to study (I want to do primary teaching) and will be working and earning money (and hopefully doing lots of shopping - for myself!) I figure by the time the kids are all at school I'll deserve some serious pampering! LOL! In regards to friends - I have a few close ones but they don't have kids so we're fairly limited in the time we spend iykwim? I have one friend who I call a best friend and we went to pre-school together and we've even lived together when we were out of high school which nearly broke us but after a bit of time apart after that we still talk regularly...I'm waiting for her to have her first baby (she's madly trying - she was the one that had a miscarriage a few months ago) as I'm sure when she's not working we'll see each other a lot more through the week...
If you ever want to catch up please let me know!! I'm more than happy to meet up and have a gasbag!!
Glad you had a good sleep last night! Yeah at Olivia being so ready for bed! Oh I agree - wouldn't it be nice to just come and go as you please! And they really don't mind do they?? I would feel way to guilty for leaving the boys and just heading off but it doesn't seem to enter their heads at all - I really don't think they know the meaning of the word - LOL!
OK - so after all this friends talk I'm seriously thinking that when we're all finished breeding/bfing etc we will have to organise a get together (I'm thinking somewhere mutual for all or perhaps a tropical island) for a weekend! How fun would that be??? Probably wishful thinking but it would be great!!
I feel for all of you so much with the teething dramas...I don't think I've ever given medicine for teething...I just seem to miss it - they have an unsettled night or two and then I might notice a tooth and it clicks but I never think of it at the time - LOL! Dylans only just getting his 6th tooth through though...I think I'm grateful that my boys seem to get them much later and it doesn't bother them as much...Louis has only just got all of his first 20 teeth and he's coming up to 3yo!!
Ok - what an epic - I've been writing in bits and pieces all arvo so I'm sorry if it doesn't make any sense!! LOL!
Chat later!
-
wow that was a great catch up Kristie!!! Good to see you didnt get swallowed up in the Target sales!!!! 50 days to go hey! Wow that went quick. I would love to catch up too. We should do it with Kaz before you move...maybe at the same place??? Then after you move, i'll be around the corner from you!!!
Well I should go and spend some time with dh seeing he is going tomorrow. Oh and I need to convience him on the new table!!!!
-
Kris, that was a fantastic effort at catching up! I'm so glad to hear all is well with you and your tribe :) Christmas at your place is going to be so much fun. Make sure you set up a video camera somewhere so you can capture it all. It's one of those special days you'll love to look back on in the future :)
I'm up for the tropical island in five years' time or whenever! Sounds delightful! You shouldn't have mentioned it though, now I want to start organising it
We had a great night last night. Both Ben and I slept from 8pm until 5:15 (me) and 5:45 (him). We were both in a really goofy mood on the drive to mum's. Singing silly songs and making funny sounds. It's amazing how much difference a good nights' sleep makes to my morning personality!
-
Hello All.....
Wow Kris so glad to hear you guys are alright - I was thinking maybe you were moving already and had no computer set up or something.....I think we will be moving at the same time....oh well at least we will go thru it together - gee I wonder why you are feeling tired....derr! Slow down girl! You have Ethan in there to take care of!
Dis - I went and got some of the Bruers stuff this morning thanks for the tip - he doesnt like the taste as much as sm 33 LOL! Thats cute you goofy too in the car - we have been doing silly dances today too - must be something in the air!
Mel - Hope you are spoiling yourself while DH is away...
Us - Beau is muuch muuch happier today which is great - we have been taking it easy on each other too - I popped these black karate pants on him before and a black hoodie with white canvas sneakers and I nearly cried he looked so adorable! He was in the wars last night - he squeezed a cherry tomato in his eye and flicked a rubber band at his mouth before I could grab it off him - gosh such a boy!!!
DH has him all tomorrow as I am working so will have some adult conversation all day - yay me!
Ok Beau wants to show me how "ouch" his giraffes ears are ta ta
xxx

Hi girls,
Just to let you know I'm stil around!! Just not in the mood to be posting much. Had a mummy melt down, again! Lily has been feral and this morning I just couldn't face the day! She put all of the toilet paper in the toilet, has been getting into the knife drawer, shoved her toast into the heater, broke the moisturiser bottle, god only knows how she did that! I had my meltdown and called DH and then mum in tears. Mum ended up taking her thank goodness, and now my SIL has taken her to swimming lessons with my nephew and neice. I fell asleep for 3hrs. I didn't think I was tired, but obviously I was wrong. I have no idea what really caused the tanty of mine...I had a pretty good night Lily olny woke once last night. So I shouldn't have been tired or grumpy really, but I just couldn't face the day for some reason. Anyway, that's my day, LOL, exciting huh??
Hello to everyone, I hope you all had a great day, and an even better weekend.
-
Big hugs to you Kel- what a time youve been having. I think my pregnancy hormones are in full swing...every time I talk to dh I start crying...he just cant understand why. Maybe if hes around a bit more....oh I've got to stop B*tching and just get on with it!! I cant even make up my mind what we are having for dinner. Well i hope to have a good week end. Think I might stay indoors as its supposed to be freezing here (13 and 12 resprectively). Anyway at least the carpenter is here finishing of the deck and pegola:)
Have a good night
-
HiGuys....
Hugs to you Kel and Mel!
Kel, maybe your body is telling you to get that extra bit of rest beacuse the little man is on his way....get all the sleep you can! Take it easy on yourself and just let everything else go and focus on you and try not to get too upset when Lily monster runs amuck! :hug:Fingers and toes and old ladies lace curtains crossed for you that you go soon lovely.
Mel - It must be hard trying to have a conversation with Dh without getting your point across before bursting into tears (I am like that all the time anyway LOL!) cause of all your hormones running around - hopefully he is getting the message anyway. :wall: Youre not b*ing hon, this is your life and sanity and he needs to support you. Yay on the deck and pergola! I hope its sunny so you can soak it up!
Us - I worked all day yesterday and Beau would not sleep at all for DH!!! I never realise how much Beau misses me until I am not there IYKWIM? He was nodding off in the car when they picked me up at 4 but once we got home he got his second wind till 6pm then was awake again at 7 then slept thru till 6:30am. HIs teeth are giving him some bother and we all went to Victoria park this morning and had coffees and fed the ducks which was cool - we found a wallet tho so had to get to the police station to hand it in!! Oh well good karma I suppose!! The sun has come out here now and DH is watching New Macdonalds farm with B for the 1000th time saying "I want to kill Max...grumble grumble' Its time for some new DVDs I think!!
Ok better skat
x
