Hi Everybody,
Did personals two days ago but the computer ate them and then Beau woke up so.....
Thanks for all my birthday greetings! We have been fluey Beau and i but his cold seems to have broken today and he is miserable! All snotty poor bugger - we havent been out all day so DH is going to pick up a vaporiser from the chemist on the way home and I am rubbing baby balsam on ihs chest. Any other tips?
I am not sure if i should give him some baby panadol to help him sleep but i feel funny about it....its not like its fenergen I guess!
He has his second round of shots on Wednesday...this is going to be a hell of a week! Just got an email from DH and he wants to stay up the coast on Saturday night, play golf and come back Sunday night! Why does this drive me INSANE!!!!! The weekends are supposed to be MY break! Sorry for the rant!

Thanx Jen you just answered my question without even knowing lol Phoebe has come down with a cold and I was just wondering what the age thing was for baby balsalm. I went to my pharmicist today and she suggested Infant Demazin Cold Relief it helps dry the runny nose clear the sinus and help with watery/itchy eyes. She also said it makes them a tad drowsy and can be used in conjunction with panadol.
-
Ok thanx Tiffany, baby balsam is 3 months. i will get out to the chemist today - I wasnt sure about meds for bubs in Baby Love she says that anything at this age taken to help with the nose can damage the mucus membranes? But Beau had his vaporiser on all night (when he was actually in there...) and no relief yet. He is laying in his cot with his eyes wide open staring at me snuffling which he never does...god I feel lousy too today! Tired and low and sorry for myself and poor bubs!

Good morning everyone,
We have been good over the last fes days. DH has been home, which has been quite nice, though he really knows how to throw off Lily's routine (well, flow of the day that we have)!! He off getting a tattoo of her name on his arm today...men!! He let me have a sleep though and got up to her last night and this morning at 6.45 after she had a bf in bed with us, so that's good. I'll probably be tired this arvo because I overslept, thats what usually happens!! But sleepins are sooo nice...
Lily's teeth are STILL giving her grief. THye are coming down and disappearing agian. DH didn't believe me until he felt them and felt the little point one day and the next it was gone nowhere to be seen! Poor little monkey. She's been so good though, only gets grumpy in the late arvo sometimes. I feel sorry for her, I can only do so much for her and the rest is up to her :( .
She's been sleeping well. Some days I have been able to get her back to sleep of an arvo and she'll sleep for up to 3hrs! But that's only been a few times. She's still catnapping for the rest of the day. At night we've gotten into a really good routine of bed by no later than 8.30, usually 7.30 though and she wakes about 2-3am then at 6-7am. So I am happy with that at the moment....of course sleeping through would be lovely if she ever tried it!! During the day we go with the flow, what she wants she gets!!
I have tried giving her some solids, but she was very unimpressed. I don't know what it is, if it's the rice cerial she doesn't like or the spoon, but I tried for a week in the mornings (second feed of the day) and she scrunched her face up at the sight of the spoon and puts her hands in front of her mouth, then if I can get some into her mouth she spits it all out and rubs it into her face and hair. So I'm thinking I will just wait for a few more weeks LOL!!
Jen, I hate it when the computer decides to get a mind of it's own....I've lost many a post to a hungry 'puter!! Sorry to hear Beau is sick and that you're feeling yuck. I had it last week too, it sucks. I'm glad Lily didn't get it (*she says as she touches wood!*) Hope you're both better soon. Good luck with his immunisations, though I don't know if they do them when they're sick? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I'd heard that somewhere.
Tiffany, sorry to hear that Pheobe is sick too. Hope everyone is fit as fiddles soon!!
Hi to everyone else, I hope you and your bubbas are all well!
Ok gotta go my monster is stirring...
:) Kel.

Hi Gals. Just checking in....
Jen- sorry to hear you guys aren't feeling to well...hope the worst of it's over. Men!! Imagine if we said that we wanted to stay away for the weekend!! Wouldn't happen would it!
Tiffanny- hope Phoebe is feeling better too, poor little sausage.
Kel- glad you are well and happy. Poor little Lily with her teeth, hopefully they'll come through soon (finally!) and give her some relief. We are still very much going with the flow with day time sleeps too and Hazel seems to be happy with that. I have avoided solids so far too, don't want to upset the status quo.
Melissa- wow, good on you for growing vegies! Nothing tastes better than something you've grown yourself. Hope Olivia's teeth aren't giving her too much grief.... just waiting for Hazel's to start coming through but no sign of them yet.
Kaz- Hope Patrick is getting some better sleeps in and giving his Mama a rest!
Cherie- Wow on Jambin cutting a tooth! Our litttle ones are sure growing up! Hope his cold/teething symptoms are clearing up.
Erin- WooHoo on Charlie sleeping through! What bliss....hope it's become a regular thing. Hazel is gradually creeping forward but we're stuck on 4.30 for now. She is absolutely ravenous by then, but I'm not complaining really.
Kris- hope Dylan is back to just one wake up...think it is the 19 week storm though and hopefully it will be over sooner rather than later.
Danni- Hope you had a great weekend away.....it did stop raining eventually!
Well, we are pretty good here. Back to good night sleeps and I am pretty much used to the daytime catnaps, when (if!) she decides to start having some proper naps it will be like all my Christmases have come at once! I am only working 3 days this week, yay. 4 was just too, too much....boy do I appreciate the 'days off' now though! I am with you all on explosive poos, we have had several now! It just goes EVERYWHERE...think I prefered a little poo every nappy!
Oh and Hazel is now rolling over pretty regularly from back to front the clever little monkey!
Lots of love one and all x x

Goodmorning All!
Well I had to drop in to say that we had a WONDERFUL sleep last night! Lily went to bed at 7.45pm, without any wake ups then woke at 1am I gave her her dummy, then she woke at 5am, had a feed and went back to sleep until 7am!! WOOHOO! Now I've had wayyy too much sleep for 2 days and I feel tired...go figure!
-
Jen- I know the feeling. Im so tired and crabby aswell and feel bad for letting her get sick in the first place.
Kellie and Christy-
Seems Phoebe is on the mend though. The lovely little chicken has given her mummy her bug. I'm teaching her to share at a young age lol
Must go-head banging need panadol.
Wow little Lily giving mummy such a good night.
-
Hi All,
Sitting in the tropical climates of......Beaus room! His vaporiser makes it steamy in here!!!
Poor bugger seems to be on the mend a bit - i have given him baby panadol twice (a first for me) but he had his shots this morning and started to cry then I walked him around for a second and he stopped!! Mustn't hurt as much in his chunky footy thighs (takes after me not his dad LOL)....
I am feeling brighter today too - spent it with my mum and her new hubby (at 65 he he) and arrived
home to find a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries being delivered for a belated birthday present!
Tiffany - Hope Phoebe is on the mend - my GP today said that the baby demazin is a bit like us taking stuff for our colds doesnt do a great deal...unfortunately....hope you are ok and feeling better soon.
Kel - congrats on the sleeps!! Thats so great - hopefully it continues fingers crossed - you were right about the imunisations but she thought he was looking ok so we thought he was grumpy anyway...why not make him worse!
Christy - good on you with the work, 3 days is still hard core - I was painting birdhouses before for a window display while I was expressing - we find ways to multitask hey? Hazel is a clever bean rolling over
Ok gotta go DH just said "you said a minute!"

Hi!
Wow - I haven't really been on much - been super busy hosting my first couple of parties and trying to get organised around the 2 kids. It's all going well though which is exciting!!
The boys are well. Dylan had a few good nights and now he's a bit of a shocker again. We'll see how we go tonight as he had some bigger sleeps today - I resettled him - and has put himself to sleep each time which is great!!!
He's such a little character - he's having some funny little squeals and is finally blowing raspberries!! (mainly when I'm feeding him dinner though -LOL!) He's also having a little bit of water out of a cup but he's not a big fan - pulls a funny face when he actually gets any - LOL!!!
Kel - How cute is it watching them fall asleep!! LOL - I'm the same now - I get in an extra sleep when dh lets me have a sleep in and then I can't get to sleep at night - so stupid! hehe. Sounds like a good idea to wait for the solids...I'm sure she'd eat it if she was hungry! Although they do have to learn as such. Dylans having brekky and dinner but some days he doesn't want a bar of it which is fine...
What a great sleep last night!! Make the most of it!!!
Melissa - Big hugs! I hope you got through without Adam ok...Probably not a good time to be doing a detox and feeling hungry!!! Oh - just read that you stopped - LOl! Well done on your veggie garden - thats great! I want one but it's one of those "one day" things...Yeah at getting your housework done - I finally got mine done today...Mine doesn't get done nearly enough...
Kaz - Hope Pip is sleeping well for you now!
Tiffanny - How funny is it when the guys have to do it - they could never cope being the "mummy" for too long I don't think...It would be nice if they appreciated us a bit more for it though!! LOL! Hope you feel better soon!
JenSam - I hope Beau is feeling a bit better...Poor little monkey. I can completely relate about the boys being away on weekends - it's very hard to go from one week to the next without getting any type of break or extra sleep...I always used vaporisers but not until Louis was a bit older...it hasn't seemed to have helped Dylans snotty nose when he had one. I just tried to get it out with the aspirator thing - you can try those nose drops - the saline ones?? They're safe!
Glad you're feeling a better - wow yummo chocolate covered strawberries!!!
Christy - Glad little Hazels' well! Yeah on the rolling - Dylan did the back to front a couple of times and hasn't been too bothered since...Loves going front to back though. Yeah on the great sleeps as well!
Erin - Fantastic news!!! I can't believe he slept through - thats awesome - I'm very jealous!
Cherie - Hope Jambin's feeling better!
OK must go - soooo sleepy and I haven't even tidied up the house yet...why oh why to I stay up so late???
Chat later!
-
G'day all.
DF is finally back to work, so I get my routines back!
Kel - I totally agree with you on the partners stuffing up stuff. They don't mean to, but just being in the room while I feed Pip will distract him - not a good thing!
Kris - we lost our raspberries when we took Pip for his needles, they were gone for a week :( But they're back now, along with squeals! Aren't they the cutest?
Hehe on the cup - I put Pip's milk the other day in a spout and he sucked it too hard, it all came out his nose. But he's a quick learner, only did it the once! Now he's drinking out of the spout just fine.
We're not starting solids until Pip shows an interest in them, and he still doesn't watch us when we eat, he's happy just playing. So until he's drooling (so to speak!) we'll just leave him on the bottle.
Finally have the cradle cap under control - I'm marinating him in Olive Oil every day and geeze its annoying. But its working somewhat. Well, not sure if its getting rid of the cradle cap or just keeping the cap moist.
Tiffany - what a kind, considerate Phoebe sharing so young! Poor you though.
Jen - that's great that you can express while painting.
Anyhows, I have to change the boi, he has nappy rash and so I'm changing him between feeds as well. Have a good day all!
-
Hi girls and of course your little ones,
I still can't get over how much you girls chat. I guess if i spent more time at home, I'd be doing the same thing lol.
Well, have finally organised my sister's hen's night after originally deciding on going to races - than they come down with the equine flu - so not sure if we would be seeing horses race lol. So we have decided on the dinner and show at conrad jupiters casino (plus mum didn't want to get real dressed up for the races)
i can't believe our little ones are going on the 5 months.
The only problem i have with like at the moment is getting him to settle in his cot. Ever since he was sick while we were away, he will only settle if i lay down with him or i rock him in the feeding chair, so am going to start from scratch again.
-
Hey Girls,
Just wanted to tell you my funny story... then I'm going to bed:)
Tonight i was giving Olivia a bath, and Adam was there to help out (hes usually not around for baths or hes cleaning dinner dishes). I put her in the bath, but she just lay there. i thought she was shy infront of her dad, or I had hurt her putting her in. I smelt a funny smell, then looked away from her face (after trying to make her smile and kick) and she was pushing out a big terd!!!!! It was so funny, yucky at the time tho, I pulled her out of the bath and popped her over the toilet! nothing eventuated. We just had a tub of pooey water. So Olivia and I enjoyed our first shower together:)
Hope you are doing really well and your bubs are good,
Take care
Love Melissa

PMSL Melissa, that is so funny & cute. We recently just talked about that & were wondering when Charlie would do the same. Not yet, which is a good thing as they are still very runny!! he did a little fart last night & made some bubbles, that made me giggle.
Hello to everyone else,
Wow haven't been on in ages, have checked posts but no time to say hello. DH had 4 days off & we worked very hard on making a decent yard for our little man & us. Planted heaps & got a shade sail, we also had a garage sale...made a couple hundred bucks (into Erin's shopping fund)!! We've just paid off our 2 credit cards & that's starting to make living up here worht while. I've also been working a few days each week. So very very busy.
Chalie hasn't slept through since that night LOL nothing ever goes the way it should!! He's just hit 8kgs & I think he's prob more hungry as he's having more bottles during the day - but will hold our another 2wks til he's almost 6months & after MIL has visited. Don't really want the extra help IYKWIM. DH got time off work & we are now all going home for Chrissy...YAY we all win. He doesn't miss Charlie's first Chrissy & the family get to see him for the first time in 7months.
Kristie, great to hear the parties are going well & with two little ones. Well Done. It's great to get our & spend time with what I like to call "the big people" he,he.
Hope those of you who have not been well feel better soon and bubs too. I've been told when bubs has a cold to also rub the baby balsalm on bottom of their feet & pop socks over at bed time. This is supposed to work a treat & know a heap of Mum's who swear by it.
Kellie, I really hope those teeth come through soon for you & for poor Lily. The poor bubs, so many things to throw them & us off all the time. I don't think I'd actually know if Charlie was teething by his night wakings...I was up 5x last night!!! ahhhhh. It's like that most nights, if only I could dte him unwrapped & he would be happy to stay that way.
Hi to everyone else, I have to go to bed now. DH is on nightshift...poor guy it's his Birtday today & was working on Father's Day too. I plan a nice big cake for him on his days off when his Mum & Dad get here. Oh yeah, that's exciting too, we are heading to the Beach, Yipppeeee!!!

Hi!
Aww I nearly cried yesterday - Dylan woke up in the arvo and would have been hungry - dh got him out of the cot for a cuddle and then when he saw me he reached one arm out to touch my face and then twisted around with the other and reached for his mummy!!!! Thats the first time he's reached out for me and i nearly cried! hehehehe. So cute!!
Kaz - LOl at the milk out his nose!! Glad your routines back on track...Fair enough with the solids!! Have you tried bicarb for the cradle cap? We used in on Dylans scalp and it fixed it really quickly. we just rubbed it in while he was having a bath and rinsed it...just works as a bit of an exfoliater really.
Iona - Yeah on organising your sisters hens - sounds like fun. It's a bugger when they get sick and your routines and settling get out of whack...hope he settles better again soon!
Melissa - YUCK! hehehehehe. Luckily for me Dh is the only one to get the pooey baths! hehehe. Glad you enjoyed your shower!
Erin - Wow you sound super busy!! I'm with you on the wake ups overnight. Dylans a shocker...What an interesting idea withe baby balsam - will definitely give it a try - Our house is just all getting sick at the moment again...grrr! Ooh I'm so jealous of you going to the beach -have fun!!
Better get Louis down for a sleep...he's been having late nights and is sooo feral! LOL!
-
hi there,
We have been busy around here - working yesterday and socialising - now Beau and i are settling in for the evening- he is still stuffed up somewhat and he refused two feeds with his nanny yesterday which freaked her right out! We have been giving him some farex every day (just a tiny bit) to try and ease him into it - he has been waking up SCREAMING for his feed in the middle of the night for some time so I think its time to give it a go.
I ll drop in later my dogs are going feral so I am going to investigate
x

Hi!
Jen - Poor Beau still not too well. Yeah..Dylans having his feed earlier in the night - gone from 4am to anywhere from 12.30-2.30 now...he's on 2 solids a day though so I'm going to throw back in an extra day feed...he cut down to 4 but obviously he's just not getting enough..I'm trying to make sure I get a bit of rest and drink lots of water as well in case my milks dropping off a little bit...
Hope you have a great weekend!
I got a sleep in today - bliss!! I had a tupperware party yesterday which was great - i've never had one - and I ended up getting a whole set for free - so exciting!! LOL!
I'm off to to a tbs party today for Cindy - who did my tupperware - so we're sharing the love!! LOL!
Kids are well....well a bit sniffly - Louis woke up on Fri night with croup but it seems to have settled just into a cold and Dylan seems a bit sniffly now...grrr. I'll be happy with the warmer weather and less colds I think!!
K - better get organised - Chat later!
-
hey guys...sorry i have been MIA. Monster Mason has been very challenging with his sleep and I am so exhausted.
Last night was much MUCH better...only feeding twice at 2:30am and 6am. The two nights previous he was waking every 10-30 mins :crying:
He now weighs 7.1kg and still just under the 50th percentile for everything. We are now on 2 solids of veges a day although he hates farex!
I tried to give him 4 diff types of formula at night time to try and get him to sleep better but he wouldnt drink any of them! he is definitely a booby boy!
hope everyone is well...will try to keep up with personals from now on xxx
-
Big hugs Danni! It certainly can be tough!!! Mason sounds like what Louis was like! Hang in there - I promise it will get easier!! Hope you get some rest in today!
