well i lost the plot yesterday and smacked nixon on the back :( he grabbed my key and put them in the ignition and turned it on !! i was tending to gab and he snuck out so silently and when i heard the (v8) enigne start up i freaked and smaked him , i guess it was more shock than me actually wanting to smack him for being naughty , i cried all the way to play group .. man i felt like **** yesterday ..

His tanties are getting to me , so i have employed some strateriges to avoid them .. and was talking to DH at dinner about them and i asked for his input he said " yeah , great ideas"

pffft great input hun , thanks for the support ... hes not the one who cops it ..

any way . Gab didnt have her Zoton yesterday as i was testing to see if the reflux has setteld at all ..

nup .. poor thing i watched her reflux and arch her back and generally be uncomfortable .. i just stared at her , like i was in a haze , i watched her actions , but couldnt move. all i could do was think about her pain .. and i felt so responsible fot it .. i felt as guilty as all hell ...
luckily she is just fussy now and the 3 hours of crying has gone ..

day stay to day im looking forward to it ..

and we'd love another baby too .. but we arent even sexing yet .. so i dont think therell be one soon .. pmsl good luck withit all Dannielle .. !!!!

id love to lose weight .. i have 3 kgs to go till pre preg weight (im 67 want to be under 65) , Im seeing a nutritionist next fortnight to get advice on diet while BF .. i want to detox , but i dont think its a good idea right now ..

Oh Kristi, how awful for you and your family. I hope she is well very soon and back at home with mummy. Sending lots of get well wishes to C from Norway.

Oh Kristi...I can not imagine what it is like for you to have to leave your baby at hospital......I cant believe it but none of mine have ever even needed anti biotics, im going to be a mess if they ever get that sick. Sending you all our love!

Lea: you poor thing, i bet your heart just stopped when you heard that car, reminder for us all to put our keys up and out of the way. I dont smack my kids but i know i would have done the same as you babe...please dont feel bad and nixon wont even remember it. Poor Gab, but there is no need to feel guilty about not giving the med, you had to try it out, how bad would you have felt if you found out you were giving her something she didnt need...see you just cant win sometimes...its called mothers guilt and we all suffer from it time to time.

Kell: You are right about everything taking longer now, you must have arms of steal lifting all that up the stairs...hope you can move soon. I know my kids are close but boy its easier when they get over that two mark and Grace at 4 is a dream..... I was laughing my head off you discribing what Lil gets up too, its so true they are energetic little things arent they?? If only we could go all day like that too :) Bugger the house work, only do what needs to be done any forget the rest until lil is better.


US: Im 90% we will have more kids...but when....... probably get to that 15month mark and think Thomas is so cute and easy that i want another, then you are pregnant when they hit 18months and wonder "what the hell have i done LOL"

Girls the only way i can get through the day someday with the 3 kids and DH away so much is to try and

Remember the million things you do RIGHT and WELL that day for your kids not the ONE moment you didnt!

lea, poor you sounds like you have your hands full, dont feel bad about smacking i found with nathan that sometimes its just a knee jerk reaction, especialy when he did something that put himself in danger.

kellie, it must be hard to handle a sick child as well as a baby hope she gets better soon.

milly, i was also dieting(under docs watchful eye) whilst pregnant, i got married when i was seven months so i had a dress to fit into!! and if i loose weight now hopefuly we wont have too much trouble getting pregnant when we are ready.

danielle, hehe my husband wants us to have another baby straight away but i think thats only so he gets some lovin;)

lucys in a cranky mood she seems to have lost her apitite the formula tin says she should be having 5x200ml feeds but she is only having 4x150mls? but she is putting on weight so i shouldnt be worried

5 x 200mls would only be an average tasha, lucy may also have days where she wants 6 x 200mls...what you dont give it if she wants it LOL works both ways :)

Quick update on C.

Dont know what is wrong with her, waiting on test results. But she is improving. Temp has eased and she is more settled.

Had kidney ultrasound today which came back good. Had nasal suction to test for respiratory viruses, that came back clear.

I was able to put clothes on her today, she spent yesterday in a nappy. Her eyes are looking brighter again, thank goodness.

She is on 2 IV ab and IV fluids now. She has to be on the IV ab for at least another day.

It was SO hard to leave her there tonight, i just wanted to bundle her up and bring her home.

Just quickly Tasha, Chardonnay has only just started drinking 120ml per feed. She has 5 to 6 feeds a day. That on the tin is just a guideline, she will start drinking 200ml when shes ready. 200ml per feed for a little 2 mth old tummy is rather alot i think.

kristi, thanks for taking the time to keep us updated we are praying you get to take your baby home where she belongs very soon

i think i worry too much about getting lucy to sleep and not giving her enough play time because last nite i put her on the floor where she happiely kicked and babbled away for about half an hour, then she drank nearly 150mls and went easily off to sleep for 8 hours:o i was waking every hour or so just to check on her:lol:


oh i forgot to mention coffee went well... im glad i am making the steps to repair our friendship

Milly , Its taken me 2 years to find something to smack nixon about ( not that i was looking , but ykwim) it scared the day lights outta me as most times i put gab in her capsule , then do a few odd jobs , like washing in the laundry , if nix had of done some thing like the park brake or something , i could never forgive myself ...

so the keys are way up high and safe ...

any way after my mini meltdown over dealing with a toddler i got my finger out of my bum and decided to do something about it , i googled tanturnms and found some advice that worked 1st time and has been working ever since ...

I have learnt to give nixon a choice , weather he was to eat break fast and co operate or misbehave and go to timeout ...

each time i have given him the choice , he has chose the 'good choice' .. which has got me feeling weary with releif , if he throws a tanty and wont co operate , i tell him that im leaving him where he is to calm down and sort him self out , then he can follow me and we can do some thing fun ...

"good choices make a good day.bad chocies make a bad day" , i also repeat this mantra to him ... its not to say he is an angel again but we are definatley getting somewhere ...

he is also having nightmares too .. poor thing , last night he woke screaming and all he wanted was mummy , he wouldnt let me go , we offered pandol but he just wanted me . he flung his tiny arms around my neck and did not let go till he was in a deep sleep , i tried to creep away but he started to cry , so i stayed for as long as he needed me to ...

as i left my bedroom to calm nix , i heard Gab wake so the whole time i was with nix i was paranoid gab would start screaming too .. but DH put a blankie on her and she slept until 5 am :omg:

she has been a bit cranky today and is now having her 3rd sleep for the day ... her day naps are becomming longer and i have moved her into the nursery fopr day naps as its darker in there and less noisy ..

Day stay went well , with me finding the importance of having a routine for an unsettled bub, with nixon we didnt really have one as he was happy to do what we wanted , but Gab is different . she has taught me to really stop and listen to what my kids are trying to say ...

but right now im pooped and tossing up weather to take a nap or do up invoices for work .. i tink i will nap ..

gab is now 5.2 kgs and getting chubbier each day .. she is so strong in her neck and legs and always tries to sit or stand ..

but thats all for now , best go rest before gab wakes and nix gets home from kindy ..

just when i think lucys getting a routine she ups and pulls the rug from under me...and now my eyes are hanging out my head im so tired, and to make me feel fantastic my dh( he goes to work at 4.30am) woke us both up to to tell us what a good nite we had!!!! he had slept through the 1 million times she woke up:doh: men!!!!

Hi All, we are well...Poor Tasha, we are the opposite at the moment....im not sure what is going on BUT Grace, Eve and Thomas are giving me what i call good nights. Eve is giving me atleast 5hrs and settling back in her bed...Grace is good and Thomas is going 9hrs at night.....Ahhhhh so last night i was only woken 4 times, between three kids i am thinking that thats not too bad (see - if you set your hopes low you always are happy :) )

Hi ladies,

Sorry for not getting in earlier to update you. I tried on wednesday but couldnt get on the forum. Since then i havent been online until like 10 mins ago.

C is at home now :clap: They let us go home late on wednesday, so that was a nice surprise to get to the hospital and hear. And THEN,,,,,, I got sick :( Yesterday i couldnt move.

Not really sure what it all was. They are thinking most likely a uti. She also tested positive for the flu, but they said thats not what made her sick, it was an infection of some sort, because of how she responded to the ab.

She is now on 10 days of oral ab and in 6 mths has to have a kidney scan, where they inject dye into her and watch it filter through. This has freaked me out a bit because i have kidney problems and have had that test done several times. I SO hope she hasnt got anything genetic from me, because my kidney problem is genetic.

Ive had a few meltdowns over the last few days but thats to be expected i guess.

C is getting happier and perkier by the day, its so nice to have my little girl back again :)

Gabriella is going great guns at night too .. 9 hours !!

nixon got a head injury and then started vomiting .. was in the royal childerns hossy all yesterday.. poor fella was so out of sorts .. he got sedated and went for a ct.. watching him fight the needles and GA was soo hard , i cried alot ..

hes ok . but still vomits :(

thats only a small part but im too busy and too tired to be sitting on the PC ... so off to do the ironing now while both are sleeping

Oh My goodness, Lea and Kristi....you both need a holiday. Hope all settles down soon :grouphug:

Kristi So happy C is home :) Dont beat yourself up about passing things on genetically, you have no control over that. I think you're a great mum & I know you do anything for your kids!

Me I am at my sisters house for the weekend. I went to Newcastle today to see one of my BB friends who was in my TTC buddies & is now 36 weeks pregnant. It was lovely to see her glowing & so close to having her much awaited bubs in her arms!
It's my nephews 8th birthday party tomorrow which we're all looking forward to, then home again.
My throat is sooooo sore, I must have caught something again which really annoys me :( Got hardly any sleep last night due to my sisters dog keeping me awake then DD came in to our bed (blow up mattress LOL) in the middle of the night as she was scared in her cousins bed. Then DH snoring etc. DS slept 11 hours so if everyone else had of let me sleep I would have had a great nights sleep!!!
Oh I almost forgot, 2 nights ago I was up all night (once again not due to DS) with pains in my chest & left arm. I ended up calling the hospital as I was having probs breathing & they told me to take some nurofen which after about an hour helped... until DS woke about an hour after that! I had pins & needles in my left arm & hand for 2 days but seems to have gone now thank goodness as it was getting me a little worried. Hopefully thats the last time that happens as I was in tears (& alot of pain! :( )

Well I'm off to bed now, hopefully sleep better than last night *yawn*

Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again....

Sorry it's been a while...

It sounds like there are allot of illnesses floating around, i hope everyone is well again soon.

Kristi - glad to hear that C is feeling better. It's so hard when little ones are sick, you feel so helpless.

Jorja has been doing really well, sleeping for around 7 hours at a time.
Had her naming ceremony yesterday. It was such a beautiful ceremony and me being me, :cry: allot.
She was awesome, didn't cry the whole time then fell asleep in my arms at the very end.

Had her in the paddling pool on Friday with the 37 degree weather she LOVED it, i'm sure she''s going to turn out to be a real water baby, anything with water - bath, shower, pool she love it.Kicks, puts her head and face under.... i'v never seen anything like it from someone so young!

Have to go, DF has just brought home a new tv after out tv, washing machine and fridge all blew up in the one wk ! just have to work out now how to pay for it all :(

Had friends over today and when they left the house looked like i was zone...so after a day sleep i cleaned, and i mean clean. I cleaned like there was no tomorrow. It was the clean i have wanted to do for ages but have either been pregnant or tired. Thomas was either happy to be awake or asleep and i said to the girls that if they helped me there would be a treat. I had put away a set of princess crown, high heels, and jewelery so i know i could pull that out.Well now i have the bookshelf sorted (please tell me i am not the only one whos kids make a mess of all those books), have been all through their toys and have two boxes for vinnies and about 4 bags of rubbish. I moved lounges and cleaned the deck. I just cant wait for DH to see it all on wednesday! Well that is if it stays clean. So now its 7pm and the girls are happily dancing and Thomas has just woken for a feed. I get computer time and it has just all worked. So nice that it happens this way sometimes :) Maybe i should go that 4th Bubba.....or stop while im ahead! I love my little family :dance:

she is such a happy beautiful baby with her big blue eyes and cheeky smile even when she does keep me awake all night she is still my little princess:D

Hi all,

Sorry I have been mia, been a tough few days. We're all sick. Lily is on the mend, though is still having slight fevers (about 37.5 this morning). Poor Liam can't handle all of the saliva and snot his little body is making and is constantly choking and coughing. Lily is waking 4-5 times a night as well and I am buggered. I'm not sleeping well though. Last night I was so tired and went to bed at 8pm, but couldn't actually get to sleep til 10.30, then Liam was awake at 11, Lily at 12.30, Liam at 1.30, then we got a little sleep, then Lily 3am, 4am, DH up for work at 5am and Lily up for the day at 5.30. That's what the last week has been like. Needless to say I am buggered. And over emotional, have been feeling down, cranky pants, etc...though today has been a good day. I have been productive and feel good for it!

Kristi, I hope chantelle is well and thet you are feeling ok too :hug:

Danielle, EEEK @ those pains, I hope they haven't returned. If they do I'd be going to the Dr., if not the hospital!

jjj, They're so cute in the water aren't they, Liam loves the water too, which is good cause Lily hated it at this age, she'd scream the house down at bath time!

Milly, lol @ your house being a mes after visitors, mines a pigsty before I even get visitors, hehe!! BUt it is tidy today, I have managed to get out of my funk and clean the place a bit!

Tasha, the love for your first bub can be kind of a surprise huh? It used to amaze me that such a little person could make me love her so much. Now I just do it, LOL!

Anyway going to make so lunch before the munchkins wake up...I hope everyone is well.

well i have been mia too , Nixon had mild concussion as his ct scan came back clear ,but he still vomited untill saturday . the worst part was me having to restrain him and watch him scream wihle fighiting the gas .. the graze he had on his head is clearing up . but i am so greatful that i went to the childerns hosp and not just the general i dont think we would have got the service we got . it was so reassuing and they are extra attentive to kids , where as once i went to the GH and waited 6 hrs when nixon had a fever of 41 ..

Gabriella is doing well , sh has come out with pimples on her have , 4 big adult sized ones they look and feel really sore :(

anyway i am sick , so is dh ... i woke up with a headache (a really bad one ) on monday morning ,then after resettleing nix and feeding gab at 4am i went into a fit ful sleep and woke up round 7 am afeeling full on sick , the type where you cant move as your joints are sore , my head was throbbing and i fet nauseous ..had a cup of tea and rung dh , who said he felt sick too ..

then he vomited at work so came home .. i rung my mum to come look after nix .. and then i vomited .. it was awful , dh was not as babd as me but both of us have the same thing .. i stayed on the couch all day as each time i moved i would need to vomit .. so i havent eaten since sunday morning ..
today i feel better but i still feel weak and can only stomach lemon solo ( no lucozade in the hosue ) and bikkies .. not the best diet but any thing else makes me vomit :(
we are off to the docs today and i really pray the kids dont get it ...

Wow charmalea. Sounds like you have had some bad luck. I hope you feel better soon.

I can't believe how long Jorja has been asleep for...nearly 3 hour! This is llike a record for he during the day. Most days I'm luck to get her to sleep for an hours.. so 3 is heaven!

Lilias: I feel for you. I can only begin to imagine how you are coping with such little :hug:

Tasha: Wedding plans are going well. To be honest, I really haven't done much since we booked the venue. I've picked a colour theme of pink, green and silver and thought about decorations. DF is a little skeptical about my colour choice but hey, once he sees it he will LOVE it...(hopefully...LOL)

Better finish all the washing or none of us will have clothes to wear!

We have a house full of sick people here...........it seems like we have two illnesses that are systematically moving their way through each person and when you have 8 people in a family it seems like its neverending. One's a flu type thing and the other is a tummy thing. I have the flu thing and its not pleasant. Im hoping to avoid the tummy thing.

But on the upside Miss Chardonnay is getting better every day. She is back to smiling all the time and being very happy :D

I definately need a holiday Milly, but i dont see that happening anytime soon.

Good to hear that most of you are doing well. Kell, i hope things settle for you soon.

Hi everyone, been busy here too. Trying to de-clutter so have been listing heaps of items on freecycle & have alot to put on ebay too which I might start listing tonight if I get a chance.
We're having carpet laid tomorrow, I cant wait!
Tobias is a real little character now, I put a few videos on my facebook page too. I love it when they recognise their parents & give you that heart melting smile! Makes you feel so special when they "favour" you above others hahaha

Busy, busy, busy here too.

My kids have been sick all week tag team style.

Had Ren's bday party today (sunday) so have been preparing for that. It was good, we went to a park, everyone had a good time.

Got a new mobile on saturday. The Sony Ericsson walkman phone. Its red. It stores lots of music and when i want the next track i press a button and shake my phone to the side and it goes to the next track, it has a motion sensor in it. Not very exciting for you girls im sure, but im excited :lol:

This week im hoping to have a quiet one where i can have a bit of time to myself. The last 2 wks i havent had any, with C being in hospital and then ren and briella couldnt go to daycare last week cos they were sick and i had the others home from school most days.

Lea- I hope Gab's reflux settles soon for you. C has been a different baby since being in hospital and on ab. Ive been able to take her off the infant gaviscon. She vomits a bit still but not unsettled like she used to be. I think she might have been sick for a long time before she went to hospital and thats what was making her so unsettled.

Danielle- Phew on not being pregnant. I will go and see if i can look at your videos now.

Been busy here too, going to the beach, up the coast to visit my dad, on a picnic with friends....lots of stuff!
We are all finally well again. Lil and Liam are a bit snotty still, but not sick, kwim??

ok so i wake up this morning with a sore hard lump up the top of my breast , i have the chills and the bb is soo sore , just sitting still is hurting .. there are often random pains that shoot through it .. i expressed and the lump went down but not away .. my neck is also stiff and sore and i also have back pain ....

Im not sure if this is mastits again or a blocked duct , theres no redness , just pain pain pain ...

ugh this left side is a pain in the asss .. i cant go to the docs till tomorrow ..

been awile sorry...been poppin in now an then to read up on whats been happening just havent had much time to post.

lucy was doing really well for a while,sleeping from about 8pm till 2am then again until about 8am but for the last week she has been so unsettled:wall: she is taken ages to go to sleep and sometimes she gets so worked up she wont settle with out being picked up...no matter how much i pat her.then she only sleeps for about 45minutes:doh: last nite i lost count how many times she woke up...im so tired.she is down to 4x150ml feeds so i rang the chn and she said to try and feed her more often but she refuses to drink anymore, think ill ring the doc.

it was so funny on home and away last nite, they where calling there baby "peanut" thats what we named lucy while i was pregnant,brought back memories.

Hi All,
Well I hope that everyone is feeling better and everyones families are well and not sick.

Not much happening here. Been a little unwell with the most shocking headaches i've had in my life. It gets so bad I lose my balance and stumble...a little scared of holding Jorja when they are that bad in case I dropped her. These are times I wish I had family around to help out :( Have an appoint with the dr on thursday...hopefully nothing too serious.

Jorja is growing so quickly. She rolled on the bed this morning so i guess now I will have to watch her more carefully.
Wedding plans are going slowly, have got DF to agree to a colour theme...now in this process of working out bridesmaids, groomsmen, dresses, invites...the list goes on!! But it is Oh so exciting!!! :D

I've been trying to get my house cleaned up. I haven't vacummed or mopped for 2 weeks...feel like we're living in a dump but just can't get it done! I guess as long as all the washing is done and the dishes are done then the rest can wait....maybe.....

Kristi - hope the b'day party went well and everyone was well for it.

Lea - hope the reflux is settling for you.

Its sooo hot here and Jorja is refusing to have a sleep... i'm so tired cause shes draining me!! and the headache is worse....dr says its just a miagraine but OMG its horrible. And not having fmaily around means i really have to still do everything here...

gosh it is quiet in here! I hope everyoen is well.

We are doing ok here. Up and down days for us. Finding it a bit hard to regulate my emotions sometimes. Especially when Lily is being monstorous. She just gets into so much mischeif no matter how interesting I try to make things!
We went to the park with BB friend today. She has a little girl almost the same age as Lily. Lil had a ball and was absolutely filthy when we got home! I had to bath her before putting her to bed for her nap! We had a picnic lunch and wandered around. The only thing was it was really hot and I was buggered when we got home. Liam and I slept for a few hours after! Lily had a good arvo nap too, and DH was home so he got her up and took her to the shops, so I got to rest, yay!

jjj, I hope your headaches get better soon. I used to get migranes too, though since having Lily I haven't had one in aaages. I was getting them once in a while before pgcy, then every month or so when I was pg with her and then after having her I haven't had any at all. I'm hoping I'm cured of them. They used to take me out for at least a whole day and then hang on for at least another day or so, though not as bad. Hope you got some rest.
LOL @ your house, mines much the same....unfortunately house work will wait for you forever!

Gabs reflux was getting better (or so i thought ) but now she is back to her spewy ol self again ...

nixon is making me out of control . we wont go for a day nap , i spend about 2-3 hrs tyring to put him to sleep .. but even though he is tired he wont close his eyes !! i yell at him alot , then end up feeling like **** for doing it ...
I have trouble keeping my emotions at bay too

Gabriella is BF up to 6 hrs a day and then goes down to bed and wakes 20 mins later .. its soo hard .. as i was typing she just woke and only had been in bed for 20 mins ...

so my days are spent trying to get one or the other to sleep ... i am buggerd and compelty over it by the time dh comes home ...

poor nix was soo tired this arvo , he fell asleep in my arms at 6:20 .. so early to bed for him , but he had no dinner , it was in the oven for him , but those eyes were just so heavy ....


how are you headaches jjj ?? i am getting accupuncture for my recurrent mastits and also for a bad back and sugar cravings , and even though im still sooooo tired , i have been feeling really good from the accupuntrue .. its worth a try ... as im sick of popping pills ....

bettter go tend to my beauty ... OH , tasha : gabriella has the same suit as Lucy , she is wearing it now..its her pj's , its so cute i reckon !!

jjj you poor thing they are the worst thing thing to have when i get them I feel like my head is going to explode, the best way I found to get rid of them is to take pain killiers as soon as you feel it starting then close all the curtains and make the room as dark as you can lie down if you can (I know hard with little ones) can you feed lieing down, Ild get snacks and juice ready for small ones so its close to hand if they ask for it so if you are lieing down you dont have to get up have the cartoons on wont do any harm for an hour. put a old cloth over your forward see if that helps even wear your sunglasses in the house.
I hope that helps, but to be honest if your still worried about them keep at your doctor (((hugs)))

lilias the heat is unreal lately my serorais has flared the worst ive ever had it on my sclap think its from constantly feeling damp Im used to the cold LOL or stress i have had a lot of that recently

*charmalea* (((hug))) hun dont feel guilty Nixion is just chaning his arm with you when he is good for you make loads of him and see how that goes. its hard work being a mam looking after a little baby and a toddler and a house at least your aware of it and can change it if your not happy but we are all guilty of that we are only human and life is hard at times ;) how old is nixion my son is two but a very independent little lad

well we have only got internet sorted the last 3 weeks and been very busy with every thing But eireann is very good and having 4 childern for the most part is not as hard as I thought LOL
All I want to do now is lose weight my DH has lost lots lately and im doingloat od walking and feel like im puting on I hate my figure now

Niamh , nixon is 2 aswell , just turned 2 in oct ... he is so cute and playful , i think he just loves being busy and sleep is too boring for him ... some days i dont know weather to not let him sleep or still be firm and make sure he has one ..

i dont like either of those ideas and once hes asleep he can do a day nap for 4 hrs .. by the time he falls asleep its about 2.30pm then he wakes 4.30 - 5ish and buy that time its waaaay to late for him to sleep . and night time bed time hs to be put back and its like 9pm before a blink of tiredness comes over him ( then its about 10pm when he finally sleeps ) , but if there is no day sleep , he becomes so oversensitve about anything and really cant cope ... its catch 22

i really really need to sort his sleeping out ... i hate the tought of frogmarching orders to him .. but we all need some sort of routine , even Gabriella , her day sleeps are out the window too .

so thus my house is a pigsty ... have lots to do today , i am going to clean and do the washing , then pop out to get fruit and veges then sneak alot of time in for my slef at the shops ...

i got a new phone yesterday , i got buillied by dh (ie: nerd/tech head/gadget lover) in to getting this phone called a veiwty, its a camera more then a phone , its pretty cool , the pics are awesome took some on it last night at a party .. will put them on facebook ...

but dh ignored all my insistence that all i wanted was a pov phone with the number 0-9 and the alphabet so i can call and text ... but nooooo ... i got bullied in to wasting my money on technology , where as i had plans to waste it on shoes ...

sorry ive been a bit slack...lucy is doing great, only waking once thru the nite.
she has found her hands and omg its so cute watching her stare at them and she also figured out how to rub her eyes which she does when she is tired. i cant belive how quickly she is developing compared to nathan she is well ahead of him at the same age, some ppl say that girls develop quicker than boys...does anyone else think that??

How are you all....how was your weekend??

Ours was fairly quiet. Just the usual stuff, grocery shopping, cleaning, bbq at a friends house. They threw DH a little birthday party for his 30th. It was sooo lovely and thoughtful. We couldn't afford to do anything much for either of our 30th birthdays (which are only about 6wks apart). So they threw him a little party. I didn't know anything about it either and we were the last ones there. They did the whole 'surprise' thing and all! He got a footy geurnsey (sp??) and a CD. I must admit I am a little jealous that he has friends that are so thoughtful. I was upset when we got home, but didn't want to spoil his night, he was so happy about it. I don't blame him! I didn't get anything special for my 30th bday (woe is me!!). Mind you I did just have a baby 10days before....
Ok enough with the poor me!
We just went out down the street to get something to make for lunch, and to get some 'aahm' (ham) for Lily. (She loves a big slice of ham, 1/2 a small tin of 4 bean mix, chopped up cucumber and 1/2 a small tin of corn for lunch). She made me so proud, going up and down the stairs by herself! She's so clever!!


Lea, I hope Gabby's reflux is settling again. Poor little monkey. And I hope Nixon is behaving for you too. It's so hard now with two when one is a mischeif maker huh? Lily is sooo mischevious and clever. She has discovered she can climb up the kitchen drawers now and gets up onto the kitchen benchtop. Although beofre she was just climbing up on the dining chairs to get to whatever she wanted. And she know if she waits til I'm feeding Liam, she can do almost anything she wants to cause I won't get up everytime unless she's doing/got something dangerous...
I figured out why my emotions have been sooo out of control too, AF came to visit the other day. I was so hoping it would take longer than this before it came back, though I have been af free for 12mths now....

Niamh, ugh, sorry to hear you've had psoriasis. A friend of mine gets it. It's not nice, especially in the humidity, and nope, stress wouldn't help it either! I hope it's calmed down a bit.
I hear you on losing weight. I just can't seem to do it. I think it's stress. (Stress sucks! It's amazing what it does to your body!) At least with your DH having lost weight, he would be supportive. Half my problem is that DH doesn't help, buying me pastries and stuff for breaky!! Very thoughtful in one way, but not helpful!

Tasha, lucky you only waking once a night. We're waking two or usually three times. He cluster feeds early in the morning, having 2 feeds between about 2-5 then another one at about 6, another at 7.30ish. Which is usually ok cause Lily is awake at 5-5.30ish anyway. Then there's Lily whos awake anywhere from only once to about 5 times on a bad night (like last night!), so we don't see much sleep round here...and I luuuurrrve my sleep, I miss my sleep :(
I have heard alot of people say girls are quicker than boys, but Liam seems to be about the same as Lil to me at the moment, he's rolling and chatting to himself like she was at this age. She was noisier, but I think that's more a temperament thing, he's more placid than she was. So I don't know if it's true or not...well not in our house yet anyhow!

Anyway, that's it. I hope everyone is well, and hello to those of you I have missed!

OMG...sooo excited Jorja rolled over for the first time today. All that encouraging has done something. She also started to giggle yesterday while we were playing peek a boo and "super Jorja"

Lilias - hope you had an awesome birthday with your family anyway, even if you couldn't do much. I sooo hear you on the expenses side, my df b'day and mine are 5 days apart!

Tasha - great that Lucy is sleeping well. I just need Jorja to start doing it now! LOL

how can one lose weight (diet plan ) while BF ??? I need to shed the wobblies all over .. im sick of muffin top ..

Me ... ive hurt my arm , i dont know how but its constanly aching .. i cant lift Gabriella and she is only 5.5 kgs .. i have realised i cant wear her in a pouch or sling as its a huge mastits trigger...

I dont know why , but i have no energy .. i just bludged on the couch all day to day and got both kids to nap and i woke about 3.30 when i got a parcel at my door , it woke nix too ...

Gabriella is still the same ol' .... Im not sure if she can roll yet she hates being on the floor or doesnt like to play for very long ... but im pretty sure she can as a few times she has been on her back or tummy when i didnt put her like that ... she is also sooo srtong hold her head up and looks around alot .. she is very "alert" and is a sticky beak ... i love watchig her watch her stripy socks or batting at toys in her rocker !!

nixon is ok .. has a fever (but you wouldnt know it ... ) it was 38.5 and now its come down .. i really think it might be his teeth as his breath is stinky too .. you know that teething smell ..

I am on the look out for a hammock , as i cant lift Gab now , i dont like having the rocker on the table .. its too risky . but loves being rocked to sleep .. i just need it for day sleeps so im tossing up weather to splash the cash or not ... ( im a bit skint atm !!)

any way , how about this rain eh ??? i love rainy weather but it makes my house feel damp and uncomfy ... hence why you would have found me under a blanket on the couch today ..

or does anyone have/had( older babes) a thumb sucker ?? i think i have one !!
